Kirsten is the absolute best! Brought my daughter in for a coloring and Kirsten created the absolute most beautiful blue hair coloring..bright and healthy, and delivered a great haircut as well. Far above and beyond as far as customer service, creativity and finished look. Thank you Kirsten!

They have good hair stylists. Recommend make appointment in advance. Saturdays are the busiest.

This review is written for Fantastic Sams and, specifically, for my stylist, Kirsten. Kirsten has been my stylist since I moved to Scottsdale almost two years ago. She is a fun person to be around and always does a great job with my hair color and cut. She is extremely knowledgeable with matching color and with highlights. She is always able to achieve the results I want at a great price. The salon has great COVID procedures and the other stylists are very personable and worked very well as a team. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Absolute worst employer I have ever worked for. Completely unprofessional. Offer no benefits and no raises. They lie about giving us profit sharing. Never got Christmas bonuses like other work places do. They fired their experienced stylists during a pandemic. They went from being a $30,000 a month salon to a $8,000 a month salon. These owners clearly have no clue how run a salon. They hire inexperienced stylist fresh out beauty school. This place is complete a joke.

This salon is FANTASTIC LIKE THE NAME! I won’t lie; ever since letting certain stylists go; this place has gotten so much better AND THE ATMOSPHERE!!! So much happier without cranky stylists being rude all the time. The staff is young, fun, energy and out going! The rating of this place have gone up so much more (besides old stylists still bashing on it). I trust my hair in the hands here and I am very picky.

I have LONG hair and find it very hard to spend $$ for a simple trim that takes 10 min. I have been going to FS for years now and have always been happy. Recently I went and got my trim but also wanted some color/highlights. I left i in stylists hands and I was very happy! If you have long hair and just want a trim (keep it healthy) this is the place for you and for an inexpensive, impressive color I cant say enough!

I went to the salon today for the first time I had made an appointment with Colleen. She did an excellent job!! Colleen has many years of experience ,she listened to everything that I wanted and did exactly that. I must say, my hair is very difficult to cut, I have a lot of cowlick’s, my hair is pretty straight & thin!! 😝Colleen was on time for my appointment,she was very friendly & professional. It was a great experience. I would definitely be returning for my next haircut and will certainly be requesting Colleen. 👏👏

Racist, rude, preferential treatment to friends, complain about each other and clients.The last four times I’ve gone to this location (over the past year) there have been several new employees. None of the people who I used to see work here any more and they seem to have nearly constant turn over. Each of the past four time I’ve gone I was told I would have “only a couple minutes to wait” for my son to get his hair cut. Each time, however, they have taken multiple walk-ins who arrived after us, each of whom appear to be personal friend of the salon artists. I understand when someone has an appointment they should take priority, but with walk-ins, it should be first come first serve, no matter who it is.This happened once again today, and I was particularly appalled when a woman (of a minority race) said she had made an appointment but an hour had already passed since her appointment time and the person she was scheduled with took three walk-ins since her appointment time. Two of these I witnessed and fell into the “friend” category aforementioned. One of these the artist even said she should take him because this other woman had an appointment and had been waiting, but took him first anyway.When I had asked, politely mind you, how much longer I would be for my son to be seen (we had now been waiting 25-30 minutes, one of the workers, Angela, was very rude. She said that wasn’t her “problem” I didn’t make an appointment and that she’s not the one who told me it would be a few minutes. I asked her how long it would be, but she cut me off and said there were multiple people ahead of me. I tried to tell her I was feeling frustrated because this has happened numerous times, and she interrupted me again and said “yeah well don’t come here, you have a choice you know”.I pointed out that this was very poor customer service and I think my calm demeanor (which I always have due to my line of work) really angered her because she lost it an began yelling at me.I left and came back 20 minutes later and that other customer was STILL waiting. I asked for the rude worker’s name (Angela) and the name of the other salon artist, as well as the manager’s name (Brandy). This is when she was really yelling, came at me, and told me that I should have made an appointment and to get out.Angela and Pamela (I think was the other’s name) we’re extraordinarily unprofessional and mean. I am flabbergasted this shop is still in business. I contemplated calling the police when she came at me. That poor other woman had waited there much longer than my son and I did, close to two hours.Additionally, every time I’ve gone in there this year I have heard several employees making derogatory comments about each other and clients. Calling them names, insulting intelligence, appearance, or weight. Not in a friendly way, in a very mean, callous way.

The kids cut was great and only like $10.99. The gal spent like 20 min on my daughters hair and even layered it. I wish I knew her name so I could put it in this review. I gave her a $5 tip because I could believe it was only $10.99

Stylist listened to me as well as suggested what would be best for my hair. Shop was very clean and organized.

Excellent value here relative to other low cost haircut options. Some stylists are better than others but all do a very fine job. I would recommend this location for quality cuts.

I called early in the day to set up an appointment to get my hair toned and trimmed. I was definitely clear on getting both of these items done and they said the earliest they could get me in was 6:30 which was fine so I took my kids to the sitter and headed on over. Upon arriving they told me they couldnt do any color service after 6 and when I said they definitely didnt tell me that on the phone they argued that the person I spoke with has been working there forever and definitely knows the rules. I wasted my time, received no apology for the apparent miscommunication and will never be returning. Make an appointment where the stylists act professionally and courteously and dont waste your time like I did. Thanks cheryl! Now I know where not to go.

I was in the salon when Jennifer Johnson came in to the salon. There was no sneering, no profanity, just mortification. Clearly this woman has not been taking care of her son or his hair. She came in looking for a fight and picked one because she was asked if she could brush out her sons hair. It was clearly going to be a painful process, a real no win situation. She either gets a 1 star review for refusing service or gets one for hurting her son by detangling his uncared for hair. These women work their butts off. It is too bad that a select few with bad attitudes have to try and ruin it. At any rate, if you dont come in here looking to pick a fight, you are likely to have a great experience at a very reasonable price.

I wouldnt recommend walk in cuts since the schedules are normally booked up. I had to come back an hour later to be squeezed in between appointments. But my hair cut was good and quick

Went for coloring last Monday. After first wash, color washed out completely. Went in today with own store bought color and lady left color in too long resulting in a much darker shade and color than was desired. Massive Sadface

Had a spiral perm done by Angela. She did a fantastic job. She was friendly and professional.

Love angela! i’ve gone to her a few times to do all different types of cuts (bangs, a bob, simple layers) and she never disappoints.

FS is generally hit and miss, imo. But my haircut today was excellent. Wish I could remember her name. I would be going back if I lived in this area.

Do not recommend!! Staff was very rude to incoming people as I waited. Then the stylist doesnt even care what hair style I want, and completely butchered my hair. Sloppy and uneven. Literally a 2 inch difference from one chunk to the next. After cutting it she says, Sorry. I rushed through it.

Racist Clientele ONLY! I recently took my mother for a cut and with almost an hour until closing time the bigots running this shop turned her away saying we are closing now.So we parked next door at Starbucks and watched (and photographed with my S7) as these Future Klan Ladies welcomed white people in with no questions or refusal.Utterly disgusted and never again. I will do everything in my power to make sure everyone knows what a bigoted little operation theyre running here.If youre going to turn away people of color because of their ethnicity then put our your goddamned WHITE ONLY sign.

A close friend of mine come to this fantastic sams to get her young son a hair cut and the woman that helped her was EXTREMELY rude to her and her son during the hair cutting process. She left her son with a bad patchy hair cut and continued to be rude to my friend even after she was done. She would give her attitude and dirty looks. My friend tried to apologize for her sons behavior and she just gave my friend a dirty look and said omg, lady! Unfortunately my friend did not get the name of this woman but if this is the kind of people they are hiring and have working there then this place is a horrible place to go. When you go to get a hair cus you dont expect to walk out with a messed up haircut and horrible customers service. Dont go top this place.

She was in a such a hurry to finish the hair cut and get back to other customer for hair color. Not sure why she called me for haircut when she is in such a hurry to attend the other customer.
