The Cashier Sammy is super nice. Awesome customer service. We need more Sammys around town. Give that man a raise!

I previously called corporate about the condition of this store and was told to give it another try. Been at least a month and i hate to say this but it is worse now and even more of a shopper accident waiting to happen!

Friendly staff. Wide variety of items. Must have been stocking day because theres was product carts in every aisle and it made it hard to maneuver. Had to skip aisles or go around to another aisle and come the other direction. It was a relax day for me so I didnt mind, but if I was in hurry it would have been annoying. I recommend the store invest in a storage container if they dont have room in the back for overstock or pre-shelving products. Bring product out one aisle at a time for customer convenience.

This store is notorious for poor customer service. If you go to this store 8 out of 10 times the line will be 8 deep with one cashier while the other workers have their blinders on and pretend there is no line. I just dumped $60 bucks of stuff and walked out as did another person. I rarely go to this store anymore. This store is easily the worst store to shop at on the west coast of Florida.

Never enough employees ....its a dollar store but not a DOLLAR TREE where MOST items are a dollar. Some good deals tho.

I do want to give amazing compliments to the sweet little girl that was the cashier last night she was a very respectful Hospital and very much a delight I do not know her name but it was Sunday the 23rd evening and I do believe she deserves to be commended for her great job good job Dollar General you got a good one there

The staff are always nice and helpful but this store must have a serious rodent problem!I visited this location on 11/18/20 and upon walking in the door smelled a distinct odor of decomposition. This is not the first time I have smelled something dead in this location.Over the years I have frequented the stores on Bee Ridge and on North Washington but have NEVER had similar experiences.

Always love a place where I can get the things I want even better when I get it at an extreme discount.

This is the nicest and cleanest Dollar General store that Ive ever been at! Very good selections of product. I was just impressed by the store and the variety of products!!!

Looks cluttered, although it was better this time than most. Small selections in childrens books and toys.

They were short staffed but love the employees they have, even if it takes a while to check out. Especially during this pandemic, they definitely need to be paid way more than they are .

This has to be my worst experience in Sarasota yet I have a health condition that makes my bowels uncontrollable I went to the cashier begging to use the bathroom the cashier proceed and tell me I could not use the bathroom without her bringing me with the key then started texting on her phone thank you Skyler I appreciate that now Ive had an accident and your parking lot is horribly nasty have a great day I really hope you learn how to not text on the phone and take care of

I came into the store on Saturday around 5pm. The place was absolutely filthy! The floors looked like they havent been swept or mopped in months! The entrance outside was littered with garbageThe aisles were packed with boxes upon boxes. Im disabled and came close to falling over stuff several times. It looked like there were 4 or five employees on the floor and two of them were on the registers. Others were simply standing around talking to the customers. I asked how much the cigarettes were for a carton and was told it was the same price as a pack x 10. ?????I brought a friend from out of town with me into the store. I was never so embarrassed in my life!

I shop at this store 3-5 times a week and the regular staff is very friendly and always helpful. Theres Cornel and Mark who are top notch and the young manager guy is excellent as well. I started going here for the value but they keep me coming back.

I shop here a lot, cause its very convenient. Location wise. Organization in the store is getting better. It seems hard to keep staff. But that is every where now, so it seems. Employees dont value there staff anymore. Stop running away good help. People want to work but also want respect in the workplace. Heads up Dollar General. You have had some good workers go through there.

Theyve improved this store quite a bit over the years. Many name brand items.

They would have gotten a higher review if they followed the guidelines for COVID19. Even though they have a sign posted that say you must wear a mask. There was at least one employee and just about ever customer who was in there were not wearing a mask.

I go there for convenience, the stores a messy unorganized, manager is rude, employees are helpful pleasant. District manager needs to upgrade there stores. How u get an accurate inventory is beyond me. Ohio stores are excellent.the manager needs to spend more time in his ,her store. They need to work the floor more. Cant imagine what they stock room looks like.

I was just at the DG on 17th at. Sarasota, Fl. I cant believe what I saw. if the fire department went in there they would shut it down. if there was a fire no one could get out.

Closest location to me. People working here are so nice. I can freely ask them abouy everything and they always ask how your day was, nice people, nice store. Love it.

Its almost new. 1 person by herself. Coolers empty. Shelves empty. Garbage all over the lot. Shame on corporate for not giving any hours to your store. To many other options for this to be visited again.

This place is disgusting! Boxes and boxes and boxes of merchandise ALL IVER THE PLACE. Can barely move, nothing is on a shelf. The whole store is a DUMP. Do NOT waste your time with this location!

Big store, lots of stuff, nice friendly staff.

I visit this store quite a bit. But Im considering going to another location due to the following reasons; it seems that the store is always in disarray-stock is sitting in crates, floors not swept or mopped, there is this smell that never goes away and staff arent always visible-sometimes they are outside smoking leaving one clerk working while the line is getting longer and longer. I remember when the store first opened. Would love to see those days again......

Yea the store is supposed to open but yet i find myself waiting till almost 8:30 this is the second time and this issue needs to be resolved jm tired of this

Stereotypical dollar store. Poorly laid out and no shelf organization. Only thing going for it is the pricing. Makes you wonder how they stay in business when the store appearance looks that way. That is why I very rarely visit one. Even an inner city Walmart looks cleaner than that. Two stars just because of pricing.

It could be the most depressing store in existence.

I used to do crystal meth, now Im 18 months clean with ADHD. Lemme tell ya this place had me stuck. So much cool stuff everywhere. All cheap priced too. I got stuck looking at everything, and honestly had to leave cuz i wouldve been in there for hours. Came in for one thing left with one completely other thing. Not hating. Staff was nice enough at check out and helped unlock the bathroom for me quick. Will be back whenever I feel like looking at random stuff everywhere and spending money. 🤘

Very nice store. Found articles I was there for were on sale. Plenty of variety and man opened another register after 3-4 were in line. Only one problem, no wagons.

Everything was not a dollar, to my chagrin. But i found much needed things for rather cheap. I only experienced a small amount of fear for my life due to the surrounding neighborhood.

A little rough area but the store is huge and the employees are very helpful and take pride in there jobs there
