Gave them 2🌟 just because the place is beautiful and their coffee and frozen mocha were really good, that’s it! Don’t go there for a nice breakfast, its menu is very limited, only 3 options, and expensive! For example: 2 half breakfasts (plain scrambled eggs, NO ham or cheese) and toast, 1 8oz. latte, 1 frozen mocha, 1 supposedly fresh orange juice(wasn’t that fresh or was watered down, couldn’t figure that one out) and 1 bottle of water= $40. Sorry, I don’t usually give bad reviews but you’ve been warned, cute place to have your afternoon coffee, that’s it.
Iced coffee was nice, albeit 75% ice, but the food was truly awful. The grilled cheese was nothing of the sort (sweet, dry bread with a tiny sliver of melted cheese), and was probably the most bland thing I have ever tasted. Like, stale bread would have been tastier. The rabbit turnover was ok, although overheated and tasted fairly generic and also bland (I would have guessed it was potatoes with no meat). And the whole thing took about 20 mins to arrive in a mostly empty cafe.Clean bathroom and very friendly staff though.Do not understand the good reviews at all.
Small business local delicious support. His coffeshop feels free. Great coffee juice smoothie.
Highly recommend! Had a yogurt with fresh fruit and granola and a frozen coffee. Both were delicious. Wish I had come here more than once. The coffee is definitely high quality. Really cool vibe. Great place to cool off and chill or start off the day.
Perfect coffee shop! Good coffee and great atmosphere. The cream muffin was delicious and the iced coffee (with a bit of raw sugar) hit the spot.
Great coffee and decent breakfast sandwich. Good for a quick bite!
This place made my few days back in my dear Old San Juan more special. From the perfect atmosphere, to the incredible coffee and bread its the best place to start the daily stroll through the city. The pumpkin bread is to die for. Once you sit to wait for your order, it feels so homey and welcoming that you dont want to leave. Finca Cialitos is a must in San Juan. Try it.
If you want to support our local shops I strongly recommend you visit Finca Cialitos Coffee Shop. Excellent coffee and ambiance and is pet friendly too!
Delicious coffee, rude & abrupt manager. After buying a juice, a coffee, and breakfast here I was apparently audacious to sit too long in the shop and got asked to leave. I totally understand covid measures are in place - but there was barely anyone sitting in there, and no clear sign indicating there was a time limit, and I was sitting in a corner far away from anyone. Nothing like being asked to leave while almost no one is there to make you feel welcome. They lost my business for years to come.
Coffee: great. Barista: not so much.My girlfriend and I came here twice over a few days. The coffee was delicious and well-made, and the interior design was inviting, soft light filled the room, bossa nova playing over the speakers. Very nice. However, the soft-spoken gentleman with glasses and a pretentious attitude (or possible social maladjustment) came over and let me know I was not welcome to look through the books and things they had for sale. He then told me to put the book I was looking through back on the table because he *knew* that I wouldn’t buy it, and ordered me I needed to sit down. I was subsequently told that I was not welcome back. I’ve been a barista and counter-service worker for 8 years, so I am completely aware of the frustrations and woes of this type of environment. But never in my time of work have I told someone that they aren’t allowed to look at things for sale that I assumed they wouldn’t buy (classism?), nor have I barred someone from coming back for anything of the sort. Maybe this was a San Juan cultural faux pas on my part. If so, my bad. But it seemed abrupt and over-reactive of the barista.
By far the best espresso I’ve had at any coffee shop/espresso bar - very cool vibe and seem very passionate about their process.
Good snacks and good coffee. Good service too.
While the staff was friendly and this cafe was cute, I would not go back. Banana bread was cold, like it had just been pulled out of a refrigerator. Great tables to work at, but no wifi. And they kicked everyone out of the restaurant around 11:30am, saying there was a problem with the air conditioning. Was a bit frustrating since I had just settled in to get some work done and hadnt even finished my drink.
Some of the best coffee I have ever had! The staff was so sweet and kept repeating “we are here to serve you” and answered all questions kindly and patiently. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in Old San Juan! Great atmosphere, music, & all around wonderful experience! Will absolutely be back when I’m in the area!!
Coffee is great! But food items are very limited ....yougurt with fruits and granola is really good, a simple toasted sandwichon a sweet bread (mayorca) and a breakfast menu with 2 choices 😒
Amazing frozen coffee, very clean, was convient they spoke English, staff was so nice, very homey vibes
Very good coffee. Relaxed atmosphere
Iced Coffee on a HOT day. A few days back a I had the best breakfast of my life at the restaurant next door (clink on my link to find out more). After that meal I walked by this coffee shop and it looked awsome but I was full so I put it on my list of places to check out. So yesterday I was in the area and I decided to stop in. When you walk threw the the door the smell of wonderful coffee and assorted baked goods hits you in the face. You are feel like you are transport to a different place. It is so quiet and relaxing inside. They have great big windows and very comfortable chairs so you can relax and watch the city walk by without the noise. I ordered an iced coffee and it was amazing. I will definitely be returning to this place. If you would like to see other places I have visited and see what I thought of them please click on my profile. I hope this review helped.***update - best ice coffee. Soooooo good.
This is a very cozy coffee shop in Old San Juan. It has high ceilings, rounded arches, brick walls all resembling the architecture of the Spanish times. The owner who also runs the coffee farms greets you and take your order fully explaining you about how they prepare their food and coffee drinks. Its a unique experience. Highly recommend.
Peaceful oasis in a busy town.
Your coffea shop for the San Juan locals! Peaceful ambiance! Great coffea, breakfast and pastries.
Great coffee in OSJ - staff was helpful and very nice!
Good food, employees are very welcoming and care about the customers.
The best expresso you will try in your life! Beans dried and toasted on the rooftop. A chill oasis in the middle of hectic old San Juan Streets.
Hands down the best coffee in Old San Juan. They grow and roast the coffee themselves and it is expertly prepared. The people that work there are fantastic. The atmosphere is very comfortable and peaceful. Great for hanging out or for studying. I recommend getting a coffee without milk. Do not waste the opportunity to taste flawless coffee, start to finish.
Allways my choice, best coffe at san juan.
The staff is amazing, and drinks like cappuccino and latte are decent. But black coffee doesn’t taste good, it has a strange synthetic taste and tastes a bit too burned.
Best coffee ☕ and juices in Viejo San Juan
This is a great stop purely for the ambience. I cant give it five stars though.Pros:Beautiful cafeStrong ACLocal vibe. Family run?Suggestions:I have visited multiple times. I have rarely seen a friendly customer interaction.Something to know, there is no WIFI.It is worth visiting and you will enjoy it.
$5.85 for a sandwich where they forgot to put one slice of meat, so it was just cheese and bread! Yum!
Great coffee!
Best coffee shop ever! I’ve traveled the world and this is my overall favorite!!
Fresh fruit, excellent coffee and great service
This coffee is amazing! Got an iced latte and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only thing is they are closed on Monday’s
Extraordinary! Incredible staff, so thoughtful and friendly. Delicious coffee, huge wraps, great prices. Perfect for a visitor to Puerto Rico! Great atmosphere. Cant wait to come back just for this coffee shop!
Great Coffee!!! Beautiful location..
Stopped here after a local recommended this small cafe to us. Glad that she did, coffee was great, and would definately go again
The best frozen coffee I have ever had. Truly mind-blowing.
Best place to get coffee in Old San Juan. Decor is lovely, service is great and coffee will keep you going up and down those San Juan hills.
Very cute place and the service was friendly. Got frozen coffee and fruit smoothie, and both were extremely tasty; just right amount of sweetness. Coffee and fruit flavor really stand out!
Great coffee, friendly owner and staff, we had the fresh fruit with granola and yogurt, with bananas right off the branch, with pumpkin toast. Came here twice in our short stay. Recommend!
Great Coffee! Local! Owner has great knowledge as he also grows coffee! Must try this place! Highly Recommended
I absolutely love everything about this place! The staff are so wonderful, the coffee is fantastic, and the food and pastries are delicious! The wraps I have tried have all been great, as well as the hot sauces they have. The cookies we have had (ginger and shortbread) were both perfectly crisp and had the perfect blend of flavors. Highly recommend!!
Coffee is delicious and ambience is very relaxing
The best coffee in San Juan. This place has outstanding coffee and the ambiance is great- old world feel with comfortable chairs.
No beers
Just had an espresso and coffee. My son had a great ice coffee. Excellent service and great coffees. Bought a half pound of their beans for home. Highly recommended
Really tasty coffee! And really Amazing service! It was unbelievably how friendly the staff was. I came in and quickly ordered a coffee without much thought and the woman behind the bar whipped out some coffee beans and said “but first you must smell this”. Was a big reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things - thanks for that!
Great atmosphere! This was probably the best cup of coffee that I had in Old San Juan. And the breakfast sandwich was SO good. I dont know what they put in that bread, but its amazing.
Great coffee with a welcoming homey environment and a great attentive staff!
Great place. You have to go there. Order a big Café Latte, the phenomenal fruit salad - sit down and enjoy your meal while listening to a superb play list.
Best coffee you can find in the island!Awesome customer service and quality and knowledgeable staff not only about coffee but about the island. An overall nice environment to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Excellent espresso. This is a very cute coffee shop with excellent coffee. They clearly take pride in the coffees and the service they provide.Definitely one of the best coffees I have had in San Juan.
Best latte .... ANYWHERE! May have to move here to get coffee and quiche here every day! Seriously, its that good...
Amazing cafe and roastery from a local coffee farm here on Puerto Rico. Great espresso drinks, homemade pastries, and local art. The farm owner is in the cafe sometimes, and you can have a nice chat with him. A unique experience, definitely stop by on your tour of Old San Juan.FYI for locals and returning tourists, used to be called Espresso Art and located a block or so away.
A really gem. Quiet place for reading and work.Folks are friendly and helpful.Good coffee and good snacks.
Awesome coffee. Best frozen coffee I’ve ever had!
Great coffee and service. Nice atmosphere. Only downside is no Wi-Fi
The coffee is amazing, and the people here really care about making the best possible drink. The iced late is prepared properly, shaken, not stirred, and is fantastic. My favorite place is Old San Juan
Laid back cafe in the heart of Old San Juan. They use their own beans from Ciales and had an excellent barista on our visit. Not too crowded and there are large comfortable chairs from which to people watch. There are some basic sandwich offerings with breakfast on weekend mornings.
Superb coffee, very tasty breakfast/pastry offerings, beautiful Spanish colonial atmosphere and tasteful decor.
One of the best coffee houses in San Juan. The ambience is homey, comfortable with good service, and the coffee is superb and smoothly delicious.
The coffee is really good. You can taste the quality of the beans.
Great historic Place very comfortable prices are pretty fair location is awesome hey boss how you doing how are you
A really cool Puerto Rican coffeeshop. I went in there morning and enjoyed a relaxed, quiet atmosphere and some excellent coffee. The baristas were very helpful and kind to my awful Spanish (they spoke English, but I try my best). I highly recommend going here before the cruise crowd shows up.
Incredibly overpriced for the area. Nearby coffee shops have great quality as well without being as expensive as here. That being said it’s still quality coffee.
Great service, Delicious food, and the BEST ice coffee Ive ever had!
The Fruit Salad, like no other you have ever had before.
Cosy, rustic Cafe, clean super friendly Staff. The Coffee was Soo good, and so was the Lemon Almendra Cake.I will be back soon
Best coffee I had in Puerto Rico and best made macchiato I have had anywhere. Expert barista and very comfortable ambiance.
Best coffee ☕️ I’ve ever had. I was on the island a week and went back several times. I could actually taste the coffee notes.
Excellent coffee. Nice ambience.
