They have a surprisingly good manga selection even thou their specialty is comics. staff are very helpful and patient!

Small location but with lots of titles to choose from! Worth the trip.

Back issues abound in this location. A big wall of weekly releases and small-press books round out the selection.

Great comic shop. I come from Pacifica to get my comics here (we have a comic shop in Pacifica) I come here because it’s clean, the staff is friendly, and they have a great variety to choose from.

The location is nice, not too busy and easy to get to. The prices are fair and the selection is quite good with a good mix of new and old. The staff was nice and seemed to be very positive especially towards local artists which is good.

Definitely one of my favorite comic shops in the city, despite being small and tucked away into the city. If youre looking for a recent release, youll easily find it on the big easy-to-browse wall of comics. If you want older comics, the back is full of discounted issues. Theres a pretty good selection of graphic novels & paperbacks, and a little kids comics section. For weekly comic releases, this location has been a go-to since they are well stocked.

The best science fiction/fantasy/horror bookstore in the bay area, and probably the best in the country.The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection is outstanding. Dont miss the used book section.

Pretty much your friendly neighborhood comic store. Its clearly been around for a long time and the $1 comic section is expansive- collectors can probably find something noteworthy here. The staff is friendly and let me do my thing. 5/7 would go again

Fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful great care of comics.

Adjoining the bookstore is a good coffee shop, with a welcoming feel. Racks of numerous magazines and periodicals entice the customer to sample them, gratis. An extremely comfortable place to spend an hour or so reading.

We were in San Francisco visiting family and my son wanted to visit the comic book store. The store closed at 7pm, and we arrived at 6:50pm and they were just closing. They were kind enough to open back up and allow my son to buy some books. We will go back the next time we are in town.

Took my daughter in. We got her a book and me 2 graphic novels. Great shop. Easy location to get to and great selection. Check it out :)

Best comic shop in SF! They always have what I want in stock, but they are also willing to put an order in if youre looking for something special. Everyone is friendly and they know their stuff! I love the Doctor Who section and dont forget to visit the Spiderman museum upstairs. Ill see you guys again for my Adventure Time comics!

Great little store filled with what you need, old and new comics. I really needed back issues and found them almost immediately. I didnt focus on card games so I cant comment on what they had/didnt have.

This place wouldve been cool, but they advertised things for sale that really werent really for sale. Why show shirts as if for sale, when, by your own admission, you havent had those in stock for months?!!!At least sale the show peaces.Pitiful. Go somewhere else!!!!

Very helpful staff, good back issue selection, and enjoyed digging through the $1 boxes. Decent prices on wall books, although slabs seemed a bit pricey.

There are fewer and fewer comic book stores especially those that still concentrate on selling comic books so Im glad that this is one of those that do.

Great selection of comics of all kinds. Nice quiet location with lots of parking and its never busy so you can ask the cashier comic book questions.

Ive been a life long comic book reader and toy collector. I recently started getting back into physically purchasing comics and collecting Funko Pop figures.The staff was helpful. They helped me pick up the right comics to catch up with DC Rebirth and to set up reservations.Personally, I like their collection of toys and comic book merchandise. Most comic books shops in SF only sell books and comics, but dont have that extra merchandise thats interesting to browse through.I keep coming back because of the positive vibes and down to earth staff.P.S. They also have a sister shop on Divisadero.

Cool small boutique comic shop with a museum-esque feel. Great for newer comics and current issues. Lacking on busts, sculptures, and action figures. Also, they do not sell Magic the Gathering or Heroclix, actually no games for that matter, this is definitely comics only. Way better with new ownership, and actually the same owner of Comix Experience. But super great with back issues!

I have seen this shop as I drive by on Ocean Avenue so many times that Ive literally told myself that I should stop by and visit one of these days. I finally had the chance to visit and to be honest, I kind of regret not coming here to begin with when I first saw this place. This shop is like no other comic shop, as their shop name states, The Comic Outpost - We have issues, thats what they have...issues. Thats what The Comic Outpost is all about. Comic books. If youre a card gamer type looking for Magic the Gathering or want not, this isnt the place. I was really impressed by how carefully they care for the quality of products they sell. Theyre not pushing stuff on the shelves to make a buck. Ive seen how the owner looks at every shipment the get before merchandising them. The shop itself is amazing. Once I stepped inside for the first time, I was like , Wow! The place is really decked out. It has life where ever you look around. And do look around and dont forget that you can go up the stairs in the back for some back issues. The Comic Outpost has a strong collection of DC and Marvel titles along with Dark Horse and IDW, but what they dont have on the shelves they can order it for you. In my opinion they have the best Subscriber Program, which is free, no deposit or credit card required to join. The team is very knowledgable, helpful and friendly to your comic collecting needs. If you are all about comics, this is the right place to be. Ive been coming to this place every week since April and The Comic Outpost isnt just a place where customers get their comic fix but Ive also witness that its a social arena for all things thats comics when you get a chance to talk with Gary and Roger.I know I gave this place high marks, which makes me such a fan boy, but I have been to other shops and I just keep coming back to this place. Its just thats what Im all about. Im just all about the comics.

We are from out of town and I stopped in with my three year old daughter. I didnt think they would have anything that would interest here even though she loves Batman,but they have a childrens section! She was happy...she walked out of there with a Batman and Batgirl,figurine and a Batman Pezz dispenser. The service was friendly and awsome. We will definitely be visiting again when we go back to Frisco.

Great comic book store. A wide selection of new and, most importantly, old rooms. Here you can find an incredible number of rare numbers for only $ 1, so before going here it is better to stock up on money.
