The staff here are very knowledgeable trust Me. Had acne, gone for a bunch of facials and got products including some acne pads nothing seem to have really improved My skin. Came here & a gentleman advised Me to buy a cleansing oil-in balm, and a glow pad. It changed My face forever😍😍😍Now I am hooked.

I came into Sephora Powell Street 3 weeks ago. I’m 55+. I always have trouble finding foundation that has the coverage I need without looking like I’ve got too much makeup on.Natalie helped me. She found the BEST foundation I’ve ever used. It’s BITE’s CHANGEMAKER Supercharged Michellar Foundation. It has medium coverage. It’s silky going on. It doesn’t settle into fine lines. The color she recommended is perfect.Thank you so much Natalie!!

Only complaint I have about this place is the temperature. It was way too hot in there. Wearing a face mask PLUS heat equals a very hard time breathing!

All the Sephora seems all close today without any notification post on the door or even on their site. I went 3 of them all closed.

The employees here are always super courteous and knowledgeable. I recently went in with an exchange that was not in the time window alloted for their return policy. The employee that helped me was very understanding and went above and beyond to assist me in getting the right product without any hesitation. I recommend this sephora because it has a huge variety for all your beauty needs, its right by Powell bart so its accessible from almost anywhere quickly and they always remind you to get extra samples plus birthday gifts!

The store manager ( I think her name was Jackie) was rude and gave me such attitude when I ask her about my credit card question. She gave me such a bad time and made me feel discriminated while shopping here!

They had good arrangement for COVID Situation. Store was very clean and staff was friendly. They were providing Mast at the entrance as were also sensitizing our hand. Touching the item was not allowed at all and this is good thing. Whatever item you want you can talk to staff and they will help you out.

I visited the store last week Friday. I get help by Chloe. She is fantastic. She is very sweet and very help. She is very knowledgeable. She help me pick up a lipstick and a brush. I love and love everything I bought. I love to shop at this Sephora. This Sephora has everything they have Tom Ford, Gucci, Charlotte Tilbury. It’s nice place to shop for make up lovers. And hopeful in the future they will get la mer too. They have a lot of nice skin care there too. It’s my number 1 Sephora store I go to.

I recommend finding yourself a new scent here at the fragrance section. Get some perfume samples of your favorites and dont be afraid to mix some while you test them out. Their fragrance people are really good at finding a variety of options you may like.Theyre also very good about keeping the beauty cleaning supplies stocked. You know, the tissues, pads, alcohol, and makeup remover. I also see applicators often, but I dont use those.They have such friendly and helpful staff whether the store is busy or not. Im always happy with my shopping experience here!

Came in today and got a facial, overall was a good experience, but I wish the girl didn’t move so fast with the machine across my face, it just overall felt very rushed, I had my eyebrows tinted and asked for her to try and move around them, and she then goes and scrubs directly on top of them two seconds after I asked😂 The idea of a facial is nice, but I think it depends on the person that does it entirely. Not a bad experience, but it could’ve been better.

They are always so helpful. During this covid shut down they were very kind and helpful despite the regulations on both the workers and customers alike.

Today I was told that the payment cant be done with my credit card because I do not have social security number. I do not work so I dont have the number. Even I could purchase with same card when I payed with different cashier or on line purchase. And no clear explanation on it from the cashier and she finally glared at me. I would better go on line to purchase to avoid receiving such a bad attention to customers.

Lovely and welcoming customer service. Associates were on-hand for help and offered options for certain needs, like price ranges, palettes and shade wants, etc. Pretty huge store as well, cashier is all the way at the end of the store. Can be busy tho.

The lines give me a headache but the merchandise is useful. I try not to go all the time, only when I need to.

This is a great Sephora. I really love visiting the stores as its always fun. On a busy day things were a bit in disarray. However, I was asked if I needed help and the folks working there were always attentive.I usually look forward to the end caps edits but they havent changed these up in a while.

Who likes Frances brand cosmetic, this place is nice. I went to this sephora in 33 Powell St San Francisco. The staff also very nice and will tell you in detail about the products and what is best for your skin condition.

Horrible experience! The first Sephora staff I asked a question didn’t help me at all, and instead of actually walking me to where I have to go just kept talking to her freind, I was left looking all around for the product I wanted. Second staff was really nice but she sprinted to were I could find my product and I was literally chasing behind her and b/c of that the security guard thought wrong and was literally three feet away from me the whole time after that! I never felt so uncomfortable and humiliated in my life! He literally was standing right next to the cashier before my turn to pay. I even saw him tell the staff something and got some weird stares! Really!!! I should have just left or told him off but didn’t want to cause drama. I know he’s doing his job but at least be more discrete when following someone instead of escorting them throughout their shopping! Unless they actually see someone putting something in their bag of course. It definitively makes a loyal customer not want to return again!!!! And won’t be. Going to a different location

Its a decent place with friendly staff but one followed me around and wasnt even stealthy about it. I had a backpack on so its understandable but dang... I know its your job, we all know they do it, but would it kill you to not make me feel like a murder suspect. I was really distracted by that and ended up grabbing the wrong one and now my girlfriend is upset. Overall its a fine store though.

I am traveling from AZ and realized I picked the wrong shade of foundation. The line was hectic in there but one of the associates up at the register named Jennifer was extremely helpful. She helped me exchange the item and find someone to make sure I picked the correct shade out. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but they called her the “little Kylie Jenner “. They were both really great and made the whole experience fun and easy!!! Thank you from PHX AZ !

The SA knew exactly my skin tone and skin type and found great matches for me. I liked how she did my makeup and was knowledgeable about products targeted for my skin type. Its always packed here, fun music, cute girls, excellent makeup. They had a DJ when I went. And its right around the corner from Forever 21. Will return!

Best part about this location other than the selection is the sales people. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was looking for some blush similar to a discontinued item. Not only did I receive immediate help but the sales person quickly understood what I was looking for and presented me with a few options. Great experience.

Indigo and JJ were two associates that helped me during my visit. Both of them were exceedingly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about different products throughout the store. I really felt them paying attention to what I was saying and what I was needing a new product to do. The young lady at the cash wrap, though I didnt catch her name, was also kind and patient. The service I received was really above and beyond, and Id recommend this Sephora in particular to anyone visiting in or around the Bay area.

I LOVE sephora! Its so cute and adorable. They have the best service and the classiest setting. And best of all, they let you SAMPLE makeup before you buy it. So you never go home unsatisfied. I was at this location 20 minutes ago purchasing a Dior serum. First of all, the cashier didn’t apply 20% discount to my purchase, even though I gave her the coupon and mentioned verbally about it. When I figured it out, I turned back to her and asked her to fix the price. She refunded me instantly (without saying any apologies), but she didn’t know what to do after this. So basically, I lost 20 minutes of my time and 8 dollars taxes (since I paid $108 and I’ve been refunded for $100). I didn’t get why she simply didn’t adjust the price and refunded me the difference. Another girl who came to help her wasn’t helpful at all.Thank you for this unforgettable customer experience.

Its a good location, but its generally way too crowded and hectic with everyone around. not the fault of the store itself, but id go elsewhere if you want a quieter experience. good selection in a large store nonetheless.

(I see they are building a bigger, freestanding store nearby. GOOD.)In addition to finding it hard to get around the store I also found their selection wanting.

But today when I went into the Sephora on Powell street..it was not at all crowded despite if that none of the staff people were helpful I have reached out to like 4 people and then I had some one to help me. I went last night and the girl at the door standing by the fenty line, was super rude gave a dirty look when asked for her to move as I said excuse me, mind you I had my 3 year old in a stroller. Like calm your ass down you work in retail! It’s your job to be nice to the customer if not take your ass home! I’m sure she’s unhappy individual. Remember the customers always right.

I was here shopping yesterday and some teenage girls came in and were trying to steal stuff. Once they realized that the employees knew they were stealing they put everything back and were honest about what they were doing, but they were treated horribly by one of the staff members who was shouting at one of the girls who was crying. Teenagers are impressionable and all of us have been teenagers at one point and it disgusts me how terribly these girls were treated, even after being honest about what they had done. Not all girls can afford such expensive makeup and in todays society they are made to feel terrible for not having such luxury products. I wish the staff member would have been more professional and not made one of the girls cry. This staff member was male with bleach blond hair and after seeing what he did to them I immediately left and will not be coming back.

This centrally located branch of Sephora offers the same great selection of cosmetics and toiletries as its other locations. The staff are friendly but dont hover. It hasnt been very busy the few times Ive shopped there, but Im sure it can be given its great location just off Pioneer Square.

The way the sales associates treated me made me feel like I was invisible. It was as if they did not care if I shopped in their store or not.I walked in on a Sunday morning at around 11am. The only sales associate who greeted me was the one at the entrance. As I walked all around the store looking at skin care products, a sales associate greeted the customer next to me and offered them a free sample of the product the customer was holding. After helping the customer out, the sales associate proceeded to walk around. She saw me looking at products but did not even walk over to ask how I was doing. That made me feel quite upset.Then, I walked over to the perfume section. The male sales associates there saw me smelling the perfumes but did not offer any help. I was debating whether or not to buy a Tocca perfume because they smell great. However, after the treatment I was given, I decided not to buy anything from them. I do not think I will buy anything from them ever again either...

Very disappointed today, I use this Sephora quite often and I was unfortunate enough to deal with an extremely rude member of staff at the cosmetic counter, I didnt catch her name. I simply asked if someone could ring up my stuff, she snapped and was very unhelpful. Such a disappointment as most of the staff are great.

The store looked nice enough but the staff was rude except the one representative who ended up helping me. Some of the staff didnt know what products they carry and the hostess and make up artist very obviously and rudely ignored me. When I went back to them for help because nobody else was they had a snotty attitude. Would return unless I was desperate, which I was, otherwise I wouldnt give them my business.

Very skimpy on the samples this time, was like i said something wrong when i asked for samples. And grudgingly gave me 2 little packets.I only say so because i buy at Sephora for my wife she always loves to try the samples, so as to buy new products.

This place is not for me, I went there with my wife, but the service is outstanding, every single employee wanted to be really helpful to us, I think for a some women and some men this is a Paradise, where you can find an anti-aging treatment or something like that, but the service was out of the chart, just r excellent.

Love this place! Its huge and has everything you need from makeup, accessories, etc. There are plenty of makeup samples you can try and the line goes pretty fast. Definitely sign up to be a beauty insider as you can accrue points and get free samples once you reach a point level. Plus on your birthday they give you a free gift! Only complaint is that one time I asked for a recommendation on a night moisturizer and the employee on the floor told me to get a certain brand, then the person at the register disagreed and there ended up being 4 different people giving me different recommendations. I usually like their recommendations though, they led me to find my new favorite dark black eyeliner from Urban Decay!

Of all the Sephoras in the immediate Bay area that I have shopped at, this one is the best by far! One of the makeup artists, Natalie gave me a mini makeover and taught me all about the best techniques for doing my eyebrows. She showed me how to measure, shape and fill them in realistically. And she even sent me instructions to my email with the names of the products she used to do them. I had a great time, it almost felt like I was getting a makeover by one of my gal pals. And the rest of the employees were awesome as well. Very helpful and they were very willing to help me with all of my questions when I needed answers! Thanks again, Sephora & especially Natalie! They have lack of knowledge about mens fragrances, but I almost fell in love with that short, blonde girl who was trying to help even though she did not work at mens fragrance department, she tried to do her best, so thank you

The Positives: Sephoras cashiers are always very nice, pleasant and helpful. Every staff person there looks amazing and can give you their recommendations. This store is also centrally-located just outside of the MUNI and BART Powell Station.Rarely will you see newly launched products available in sync with the online offerings. This location has limited selection that is not supplemented or remedied by the nearby and newer location in the Westfield Mall.NO Nail Polish: They used to sell nail polish, and now it only carries one-off Nails INC colors, and a few Marc Jacobs options. Oh well.If you search for product availability by location the inventory is likewise not in sync with the actual offerings. So, dont get your hopes up if you go in-store thinking you will find that elusive gem.The floor staff are overwhelmed with so many customers that you almost always have to wait for assistance to be, for example, color matched. I feel for them. They have tough jobs and clearly do the best that they can with limited real estate.Color-matching: Not sure why, but, it is difficult to be properly color matched. Ask 5 different people on 5 different days and you will get 5 different matches. This is ok. I think it is hard to color match almost everyone.Basket-Forcing: If you need, or dont need, a basket, you will basically be forced to take a basket. A totally understand why, but, for a theft-free shopper running in for somethingmspecific, I feel annoyed by often being forced to take a basket. Pavlov was on to something though, because now, I just take the basket. Just. Take. The. Basket.Rewards Bazaar: Is it just me, or do you also look at the in-store rewards and almost automatically think NO. Im actually thankful if someone doesnt ask me if I want anything from the display case. That being said, their inventory in this category for the 100-250 points class is fuller than the online offerings!

VIB reviewing here! So that means I am at this store A LOT. For those wondering, a Sephora VIB is a customer who has spent over $300 in a year at the store. Insane, I know.This location is the biggest one I have been to, and have a bigger selection of cosmetics. Walking in, you are always greeted by an associate and sometimes even handed a shopping basket (an incentive to make you buy things, so of course I always accept one!).Fragrance section is located on the right-hand side, skincare products section is located in the back of the store, while cosmetics consist of the rest of the store.Something to note about this store is that this is one of the only locations in the Bay Area where you can schedule an appointment to have your make up done. Youll have to buy $50 worth of items during your appointment, but easily an eye shadow palette is that price.Another thing, there are sales associates everywhere! This is mainly to help combat against shop lifting, but the associate know their stuff when it comes to make up and you can talk to them about anything whether it be about quality of make up, popularity amongst competing brands, application, the possibilities are endless.This place is my candy store and Im a fat kid with a sweet tooth and 10 cavities. This is seriously the best Sephora I have been to and is rightfully so.

I LOVE SEPHORA! I like to come here every time I am in Union Square because there is always something new to try, be it make up or a new fragrance. Always feel free to approach the staff to ask for beauty tips or if you want to try a new product. I would recommend checking out some of the sephora home brand items too. I love the lip stains and there are some really pretty colors like the purple ones.
