The ice cream here is really good. I tried the cookies n cream flavor and I loved it! The red beans fill is top.I only feel that the store could be cleaner, because I felt that it was a bit trashy.There is outside seating. Its nicer to eat your ice cream on such seats.4/5

I love this place and crave it all the time! The mix of textures is wonderful. Eat fast because the ice cream gets drippy and expect a long (although fast-moving) line.

Social distancing was being practiced here and the entire staff were donning face masks. They even went so far as to color coordinate it into part of their uniform and brand with a black and yellow trimmed mask covering the nose and mouth.The line was very short but kept on moving steadily, when the line died Down, more foot traffic wandered in. Unlike last weekend when we came and waited for like ever in line.I ordered the Ube Froyo with red bean paste last time and got an oreo sprinkle on it. I didnt love the Froyo and the ube flavor wasnt pronounced yet the color of the froyo was legit grape shaded purple invoking strong Ube vibes. I will not order their ube froyo again but am curious about the Matcha flavor. Ill give it one more try.Today I got the Taiyaki only.2 redbean filled1 custard filled1 Taro filledI didnt LOVE the redbean which is a shame coz I love redbean. Mainly I thought itbwas way too sweet. Almost cloying as it left a negative impression on my palate.The Taro was better, yesterday still on the sweeter side of perfection. The Custard filled Taiyaki is the winner. I loved it. Juat the right amount of sweet to compliment the pastry that it comes lined in .

The soft serve is delicious. And the pastry is out of this world. They made things quick and easy. They had napkins and hand sanitizer set up everywhere. They offer unique flavors as well as some more familiar/traditional ones. I got Ube, my son got Oreo Cookie. Would recommend.

The ice cream here is Delectable, creamy and the toppings are good as well. Loved the little fish they give you, unfortunately do to the circumstances the ice cream is given to you on a cup instead of the fish cone but it’s still good and you still get the fish which by the way is yummy and filled with Nutella and three other options and of course I got mine with Nutella.

Soo yummy! I love going here. My bf usually get the cup of the “ice cream” and 2 of the fishy shaped thing and it’s enough for us. So basically we share the cup of ice cream (I think it’s a really good amount to share) and then each have our stuff/filled fishy 💕

The concept is unique and the flavours are new. I believe Mira Mesa has more mix swirl flavours compared to Convoy. Ahboong upside down is huge and can be easily shared by two people. Taiyakis are the best and you can always ask them to make it more crispy for a perfect crunch yet chewy texture. Custard and red bean are the best choices here.

Fun little dessert shop in the middle of convoy. Korean style shaved ice and a take on a classic Japanese dessert.A bit pricey for what you get but the waffle is leagues better than the ice cream. Tayaki is great but get it filled with custard or red bean.The Korean flavors for the shaved ice are different but tasty

This place is poppin!! It’s honestly really cute, There isn’t a lot of options for what to get, but honestly it makes it so much easier to choose. I got the red bean taiyaki and it was delicious! They are only serving to go orders currently. But for the price and quality I’m impressed. Plus they were really quick with getting the food out to us.

Dontlet the long line deter you.. its deceiving!!!. We got oreo and ube & oreo swirl. I love the ube and oreo mixture. Ube is really good and balanced out the mix. It was nice and creamy. Of course we had the taiyaki with Nutella and then ordered 2 with custard. Mmmm

Definitely a unique experience. They offer a soft serve ice cream served in a pastry shaped like a fish. The fish is filled with things like Nutella or Custard. The ice cream is then topped with options like fruit and cookie crumbs.It can be messy but quiet delicious. The drawbacks are the huge lines and very limited parking.

Brought my daughter in for a special treat, she chose a matcha Ube swirl cup with red bean filled fish cone, macaroon and rainbow sprinkles. It is delicious!! And definitely big enough for 2 to share. Good price, clean space, happy and helpful employees who were ready to answer my 8 year old’s questions and offer samples. We do recommend and will come again!

Parking lot is always full here, so you might end up in street parking, but we got lucky. Its attached to the shop next door, but if you want soft serve you have to enter the door on the right. There was a line when we arrived, but it moves pretty quickly!. Was lucky enough to try them all. The One and Black Sesame are the best in my opinion. The fish cones are made fresh and are delicious. Add your favorite filling and toppings and go.

Great bathroom but usually a wait for it. Men and women both had waits. Fun mold for the ice cream and unique flavors. The cereal on top.of them is always a good choice. Smaller operation like this usually means a line and this was no exception but it moves fast and didnt feel long.

You must get the fish cone, you will not be disappointed. Fast friendly service.

The milk/matcha swirl is really good along with a nutella filling, and oreo topping. The ube/oreo swirl is also phenomenal.

Nice place for treats. They have soft serve in yummy flavors like milk, ube, Oreo and matcha. They run about $7 with the fish shaped waffle cone and filling. The seating is nice, there is enough for a group to sit down and enjoy a treat. It’s clean and staff is friendly. You can also go to a different counter and get drinks and other treats as well so there is a treat for everyone.

Very cool idea for ice cream putting it in the pancake fish with custard/red bean/Nutella. Limited on ice cream choices, you only have green tea, milk, Ube, and black sesame. There weren’t that much flavors in the ice cream, everything taste like vanilla soft served. The green tea and black sesame could use more flavors. Ube is decent. It’s the idea that’s cool though.

My husband and I love coming to somi somi! We first discovered it in Vegas and we’re excited to find it elsewhere! My only complaint is the fact that you can’t mix and match the flavors and you can only get them in the specific swirls they have that week if you want more than one flavor.

I liked the customization of the taiyakis filling. I had the Matcha ice cream with a Nutella filling. It was good enough that I got two taiyakis to go so I can enjoy at home!

The restaurant is really simple and clean. A nice place for a quick ice cream. You just pick from six ice creams, choose whether you want a bowl or a fish (you can get the fish in the bowl), and then pick your toppings! The staff was very helpful and the facilities were very clean. Highly recommend it!

Fun dessert place with highly grammable offerings. I got the taro and Oreo swirled Ah-Boong in a cup, with Oreo crumbles and matcha powder on top. I congratulate myself on yet another excellent flavor pairing because it was really, really good. Its definitely enough ice cream to share with a second person, and in fact Id recommend it. The line moved quickly even though it stretched out the door, and there was open seating outdoors available. For the amount of business they do, Id like to see the patio freshened up and cared for a bit more, but its functional and not too messy. Id come again, especially with people from out of town.

The TV with the menu didn’t have the menu up, just a screensaver and the cashier wasn’t really pleasant about explaining how it works! There’s no real clear direction on where you should go as you wait for your order and we weren’t told where our order would be when it was ready. After we were told to wait outside we had to listen super carefully for our order to be shouted out because they only shout it from the counter, nobody comes out. The people working today weren’t super friendly! The taiyaki was pretty good! A little undercooked, we could tell in the batter on the inside. Unfortunately, I don’t think the taiyaki was good enough to come back or recommend because our experience was so awkward.
