She found a few settings and center stones that she liked and Edmond took notes.When I came back, I was extremely nervous, mainly because I wanted to pick out the perfect ring for the engagement. Edmond was there and showed me multiple options and I decided to go with the ring and center stone my fiancé had picked out.When I got the ring, the center stone was a bit smaller than I anticipated. It’s a little hard to picture what the final product will look like until it’s in your hands. I let Edmond know and we discussed multiple alternatives within budget. In the end, Edmond steered me toward a very nice VVS center stone. I think he sensed my stress of wanting to propose ASAP, so he performed a miracle by getting the stone swapped out in one day so that I could still propose when I planned to.I picked up the ring and Edmond was there again. I told him I was about to propose and he was genuinely excited for me. As a bonus, he threw in a pearl necklace. I’m not sure how much better service you can get, but I will only be buying jewelry from here for life.When I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife, she was literally in shock. It took about 10 seconds for her to come back to reality. Obviously per the earlier spoiler, she said yes. I can not rave enough about how amazing David & Sons!!! We went in looking to get a new wedding ring and wedding band. They were super friendly and treated us like family while we were there. My wife was shopping for a nice set of earrings for my daughters birthday today and walked into David&Sons at UTC. She asked if they had childrens earrings and was given a snooty response we dont carry childrens earrings and only have diamonds. from someone who appeared to be a manager. He tried to turn her away twice. The whole attitude was essentially you cant afford to buy anything in the store so stop wasting our time. She requested to look at some of their earrings and he turned away and handed her off to a sales rep. The sales rep who ended up helping her was great. She was going to buy a set for my daughter but given the managers attitude she decided against it. I looked up their website where they claim that they offer excellent customer service. They should really look up the definition of customer service because the snooty attitude that my wife received today was the complete opposite. I was looking to buy a new diamond ring for my wife due to the difficult COVID year with the kids mostly at home, they have lost any potential business from me.

The storefront is beautiful and you cannot miss it when you walk by.I worked with Edmund as well as a few others but Edmund found out my fiances taste in the style of ring almost instantly. Edmund explained the different metrics of how diamonds are measured, which was greatly appreciated. Edmund was very upfront and honest he even showed us under a microscope why his diamonds are the best compared to other retail chain jewelers across the United States. The unique diamond cuts and bands impressed us immensely.I want to stress that all of the rings / bands / diamonds are one of a kind. The ring I purchased can not be found anywhere else. My wife and I bought our rings here 20 years ago. We paid top dollar for platinum. My wedding band alone was $800 and my wifes was around $2000. I have put on weight in the last 20 years (gasp) and my ring stopped fitting me long ago. I took my ring to a buyer and found out that it has almost no platinum in it whatsoever. I couldnt believe it and went to a second tester for verification. Unlike gold that has a standard, 14k, 18k or 24k, platinum has no standard and this allows people like David and Sons to rip you off. The value of platinum in my ring was almost zero. Buyer be very aware with this company.

I had a very personal and inviting time at family owned David and Sons. Emil has been in the business for over 40 years and knows exactly what he is talking about. The gem cutter has also been there for 34 years. They are incredibly experienced. They do not oversell or pressure you here. They educate you on what type of diamonds there are too. You tell them what youre looking for and they will respect your boundaries and show you everything within your range. They are warm and treat you with respect. If you buy a ring from them, you have a full year to get it re-sized for free. I will shop here again! They also have hand sanitizers around the store for COVID.

I was a little nervous as I am not the owner of a lot of fine jewelry, and I didnt know what to expect. Edmund was so kind, patient and helpful. We found the perfect setting! To my very happy surprise the jeweler was on the premises (same jeweler for over 30 years) and able to set my ring for me today! I expected to have to wait a few weeks so as you can imagine I was beyond thrilled. I picked up my new ring 2 hours later and it literally took my breath away. When we first decided to shop together for an engagement ring my friend said Dont waste time shopping around, go to David and Sons and thats exactly what we did. Armin greeted us when we entered the store and asked about what we were shopping for. I told him what I envisioned to be my dream ring and he pulled multiple options that fit my description. He also had me try on all of the rings I thought I wouldnt like (just to rule them out for sure) and thank goodness he did! I ended up falling in love with a ring I never would have chosen from the case. He was very kind and patient and made us both very comfortable. Great customer service!! From choosing a ring, picking up the order, to cleaning and resizing, everyone is so friendly and willing to help. Someone will acknowledge you right away and do their best to ensure that youre well taken care of. Where do I begin?! Ive had the absolute BEST experience / service from David&Sons. My fiancé and I had been shopping for rings for months and i had my eye set on a certain ring but it was way out of my price range. Jaime who was our sales associate was so patient with us each time we came in (it was over 5 times coming in and out not buying anything) and not once did he push us. Emil and all the people that work at David and Sons are amazing! My first experience I there I was shopping for a ring for my mother that she loves! Angela helped me pick a top quality, best value diamond band that my mom cherishes everyday. I was so pleased with the experience that when my now husband was getting ideas for my engagement ring I had to send him in the David and Sons direction over 4 years ago! Needless to say I have the most beautiful engagement ring. I had 2 of the pave stones fall out after my ring was sized, I was nervous that maybe this was too delicate a setting but David and Sons completely stood behind their quality work and fixed the problem free of charge, even made an alternate setting for my engagement stone that I could have switched for. Thomas the jeweler is amazingly detailed. I am completely obsessive, a retailers nightmare even (according to my husband) and they always came back making me feel like I was a friend to them and that they take very good care of their friends. Since I now live in Boston, their is no one I trust more than David and Sons to care for my jewelry! 2 weeks ago I had my wedding/engagement rings inspected, a missing pave stone replaced, and rhodium to both, my rings look like the day I got engaged/married again! Commissioned an anniversary band in 2016 from Edmond and his team of GIA certified professionals. Design of ring, quality of stones and customer service all beyond reproach. Best shopping experience I have ever had buying anything. For me, like most guys, starting to look for an engagement ring became a daunting task. I had never even heard of things like the clarity and color of diamonds. I just always assumed all diamonds were sparkly. Dealing with either Edmond or Emil (owners) you are instantly treated with respect and a sincere sense of wanting to make you happy. The staff is also very knowledgeable so be prepared to ask any questions/concerns you may have. The jewelry buying experience can be stressful but they try to make it as stress free as possible. Wonderful experience!On my first visit, I was immediately greeted by Jonathan, and was lucky enough to work with him for the entirety of my search. I had done a lot of research online prior to going into my first jeweler, but still learned a ton in speaking with him. Other jewelers I had gone to had to order stones for me to view, but they kept it all in house here). He brought out a beautiful selection of diamonds, but I cant say I fairly viewed them all. I was lucky enough (cliche enough?) to see the perfect diamond, and immediately knew it was the one. Thinking that this had to be outside of my budget based on what I had seen at other jewelers, I was unbelievably happy and surprised when they gave me the price. Not once did they try to up-sell me, and that is something that I feel is rare in this industry. I just have to tell you about my experience at this store, we had been shopping everywhere between downtown all the way past del mar and ran into some good and bad places. Now fast forward to us now more savvy as to what we wanted, called, blown away how nice and warm our salesman was, who I later found out his name is Jaime.
