Ordered it under the impression that its an iced coffee brew theyve not expected to be a bitter beer coffee nowhere did it say it was beer tasted awful cream was all lumpy when down the toilet after one sip because thats how bad it tasted very bitter will not recommend Ill suggest that you specify beer somewhere in the description so people will know that its beer and I think that its brewed coffee.

Have always been a fan of a good milkshake but this place takes the cake(and pop tarts..and cereal...and candy bars...and pastries AND booze) . Not only was my personalized shake absolutely delicious..the two ladies closing on dec 10 provided stellar service and recommendations despite the fact that I was the a$$**** that showed up 15 minutes before closing. They were wonderful and made a helluva shake.Tip- apparently you have to order through the restaurant next door and pick up there as well.5/5 will be back!

The first time I went, the woman working the counter was extremely rude, but I chalked it up to a bad day. The second time I went, I got an $8 slice of Milk Bars birthday cake. Theres a photo of what their signature birthday cake is supposed to look like, and then a slice of what I received. If I wanted grocery store cake, I wouldve gone to Ralphs and gotten a whole one for a dollar or two more. Christina Tosi should really look into this place, because Im sure she wouldnt be thrilled.

Such a cool place!!! And the shakes are yummy!!! I am allergic to egg and the vanilla ice cream had egg in it so I had a very bad reaction, but I contacted them about it and they were very nice and worked with me on it , so I will go again. But not get vanilla ice cream.

2 things:1) the milkshakes we bought were tasty. My girls (4 and 6;who were soo excited to go to Milk Bar) loved them and were totally satisfied.2) this is not THE “Milk Bar”, it’s “The Milk Bar”. Can’t compare the birthday cake to Christina’s famous birthday cake because it’s not hers. If your looking for Milk Bar, go to LA. If you want a milkshake, not a bad option.

I was so disappointed in this place. The customer service was slow and subpar, the manager was rude and the shakes were overpriced and no better then a normal shake at jack in the box. Maybe when they can open normally they will be better but after looking at other reviews there are many complaints about a rude manager. There are just too many places to support that treat their customers with kindness to return to this eatery.

Ordered through Uber Eats, a cake slice, a pie slice and ice cream on the side. I could not believe how tiny the cake slices were for the price. Im fully aware that Uber prices are higher than in the restaurant itself. But $11.99 for a slice of cake smaller than my hand? Forget that, even at the regular restaurant price. Never ordering here again or going here. I ordered the vanilla crunch cake and it tasted super plain aside from the caramel. Couldnt even taste the vanilla. The $4 side of ice cream was literally 2 tablespoons of ice cream. What a joke. Sadly have gotten better cake at the grocery store (and an entire cake for that price).

My friend and I went yesterday and their customer service is HORRIBLE. We were waiting for the lady to take our order for 5 minutes even though she knew we were right there waiting. We just ordered two shakes and we waited for 20-25 minutes for it. When my friend asked her how long it was going to take she said “I’m not sure” and walked away. Don’t go there if you’re not trying to wait a long time for your order. If you do, I think ordering online is better.

Is this a knock-off? It’s not the famous Milk Bar. Our shake had a strong, stale smell. Graham crackers were old and tasted it. The store itself was shuttered but had sign saying to order through the bar next door. Something in this is bad. I’m burping up something bad now. Would have taken it back but we were on route to the airport. This was a bizarre experience.

When I saw the name Milk Bar I thought, “Oh that sounds fun, I bet they have fun/great shakes!”. I drove to the place and then once I found it it was closed and had to go inside of a bar/restaurant. After waiting 30 minutes for a milk shake when it was almost empty in there, I was pretty disappointed to get a very plain and boring milkshake. You’d think paying 8-9 dollars for a milkshake it would be a bit fancy and a little over the top but I honestly could have gotten the same thing from McDonalds for more than half the price and a way shorter wait time.

We came to San Diego 2 years ago for vacation and stumbled on this place when it was still in La Jolla. The fried chicken, onion rings and milkshakes were fantastic. When we were planning for our vacation this year it was this place that played a huge role of why we can back. I had been craving the Nashville Hot chicken for 2 years and was so happy to get to come back and have it again. The owner and maybe the manager were super nice and even gave us a piece of pecan pie for for coming back. I dont like pecans but almost ate the plate they served it on. Reading the reviews on here is pretty sad for such a great place, especially about the customer service or the food. Keep making great food and welcoming atmosphere.

Im doing this review only due to the fact I was looking to go here but upon reading the reviews some good some bad. Good business for dummies your welcome. Thank me later!

This place is awesome! But its not because of the great milk shake. As I was waiting on my order the bar its connected to started playing Burbans and Lacs by No limit. 14 years in San Diego and Ive never heard any bar or club play any No Limit songs especially Burban and Lacs. Only true hip hop fans even know who No limit is. This place is awesome!

Honestly its a stupid premise and you could way more cheaply blend ice cream and cereal at your home but like ... I love it. I will gleefully fork over money for cereal-flavored milk any time even though I could just as easily get it from my nephews breakfast in the morning. Also the clocks on the ceiling will drive you crazy: theyre all out of sync.

I’d love to say I’ve had the pleasure of trying. I was definitely super excited because of Masterchef. I was a little put off before I called by the reviews about customer service, but whatever. I chalked it up to a few bad shifts.Unfortunately, of the last 5 times I’ve called (today included) to ask if they have the one thing I’m excited to try... a rice crispy treat... it was never available. And today when I called to ask I was met with a short response and no options for an upsell. Or even ”we don’t but you know what would be good.” Idk if you still read these, but I don’t want to try anymore friends. I’ll try to check it out the next time I’m in New York.

Yeah, you’re milkshakes were ok and the baked goods were average. But customer service was pretty poor Milk bar, and because of that I won’t be coming back. I walked in on a not quite busy Sunday afternoon and after waiting 10 mins to be helped (no I’m not an Uber eats driver thank you) and another 10 for my shake to come out. After all that I had to remind the server that I had ordered cookies as well. Wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend, not impressed.

This place must not be aware of the customer service concept. They have two speeds, slow and stop, so you should order before you get there. I’ve never had to eat red velvet cake with the icing until today. I ordered from uber eats for a party of 12 thinking it’s a “12” cake based off their featured items. The description of the cake did not display that it was a slice of cake . So upon completion of order i received a slice of red velvet..In what world is a slice of cake worth $12 . Not to mention it was dry and i had to using the icing in order to swallow it ... I can only imagine what your establishment is charging for a slice of your dry cake in the actual store an not through uber eats . In all honest I’ve seen establishments sell slice at $3-6 a slice that’s more reasonable but for you to charge $12 for a slice . Your cake is not that good , it’s dry and not worth the price and you as a establishment need to reprice your featured item to truly show what it’s worth ... a dry piece for $12 . I feel stupid and duped for what it is ... You think cause your hip and what not that you can charge that and after tonight you atleast lost this customer and anyone that will ever suggest it to me .. it may not mean a lot to you because I’m sure hundreds of people show up to your business but I and my twelve other friends will not be entering or talking about your placce .
