They simply cheat on clients.Ordered large Matcha Tea and paid for it.What I received was 4 sips of the tea and huuuuge amount of ice to fill the cup instead of the tea.$5 for the ice is a robery. A large bag of an ice at a gas station costs much less.Its a shame Dtarbucks!

Pretty nice location and quick morning service. Was disappointed that this speciality coffee shop didnt have basic sweeteners, but the hotel I was staying at was able to supply Splenda, so it worked out.

The employees are super nice, but not very savvy with the system. They couldnt figure out how to ring in my free drink during the happy hour. Their actual hours are not reflective of the hours posted online and they do not lock the front door when they are closed.

One of the best Starbucks I have ever been to, received great customer service from Anjelica who was at the register. I was in and out in less than 5-10minutes and my coffee tasted great. This will be my Starbucks of preference, highly recommended.

However, unlike the ice cream, the mocha mint frappuccino felt lighter.Overall, as a long-time Starbucks @ Gaslamp customer (since May 2015), I should point out that the all of the baristas I have encountered have been polite, friendly, and hard-working.A bit of warning: The morning shift can become hectic -- e.g, very long queue with all sorts of diverse orders. In addition, if there is a Padres game going on at the Petco Park, it can be quite hectic before the start of the ballgame. Not to mention, if there is a major event taking place at San Diego Convention Center, do not be surprised if this Starbucks becomes quite hectic. The Comic Con week is the craziest time of the year! My point is that the crew are doing their best, so do not judge them too harshly, considering their workload.Update: 11 August 2017. Added a snapshot of Nitro. The red cup is actually mine; I usually carry it with me as it conveniently holds grande-sized drinks. I think Nitro is perhaps one of the most caffeinated items available from Starbucks. Because it contains dissolved nitrogen, it feels creamy and smooth even without adding half-and-half or non-dairy creamer. Nitro is not sweet, but you can ask it to be sweetened.Update: 8 September 2017. Added a snapshot of Nitro Freddo. The main difference between Nitro and Nitro Freddo is that the latter contains some caramel. I just walked over 3 miles to get Starbucks because the 2 that are closer to my home are closed. You guys need to change the time on Yelp and Google maps because I was here at 5:04 and the sign said closed at 5. I asked and even offered to give a $10 tip and nobody wanted my money. Why is it even open at all? Seriously irritating. Waste of time and energy.Even when this one opens I will never come here again. Thanks for nothing.

I like some of the female workers like, Misty, Bella, & Donella, just to name a few. There are other females that IDK their names. Those ladies are helpful and allow me to know that I can do better, just like my husband keeps telling me. I am glad Stanley has been a big inspiration for me. Because he also tells me to forgive. I read in the Bible if you want GOD to forgive you, you have to first forgive everyone including yourself in order for HIM to forgive you. Stanley has always told me that and I just recently started listening to that. So I thank GOD for my husband.

This regards the Starbucks on 5th across from the convention center. Very well run store which is often busy but the line keeps moving. Jeffrey adds a welcoming sense of humor to help wake you up before you have your coffee!

This Starbucks is horrible! 2 times in one day the order was wrong and while I can completely understand it happens, it’s how you respond! I wasn’t even upset, I just asked to please switch it to cold. He literally rolled his eyes at me, so I grabbed the hot and shared I didn’t appreciate his attitude and wished him a better night! Such a rude! I feel like it maybe the leadership since the entire storevibe was horrible!

Located in the corner of the building, this cafe has very few seats and no toilet. But the staff was very friendly and nice to spend a moment. Gaslamp cafes close quickly, but Starbucks closes late.

Not for early birds! We were staying in the Hard Rock for an event, and went to the coffee shop a little after 5am (when they are supposed to open). By 5:30, we could see the staff inside, but they never acknowledged the growing line outside. They finally opened around 6am. Others waiting told us this happens ALL the time.

Great service and well made drinks -- they didnt have a couple food items I ordered so they gave me a free cookie with my order. Staff worked efficiently and took charge with orders.

Specifically the location in downtown San Diego was not great. One girl gave me poor directions to the bathroom and after I bought my coffee I was standing out side looking at my phone when another girl told me I couldnt stand so close to their property.Absolutely rude.Starbucks as a whole is great though.

A really good Starbucks. Im from Norfolk so I can see how maybe some of the ingredients used to make the coffee can be different, but their iced coffee was really great!! The baristas were very friendly as well. However seating is limited and it can get inundated with a lot of people very easily.

Staff here is a notch above average for sure... drinks are Starbucks drinks. At least its in great shape and super clean.So this store has the special Clover machine with its Reserve beans. Ive tried a few at other places and yes, theyre more expensive but they do taste better than your regular Starbucks coffee. The staff here are funny and friendly. Always chatting up with everyone and seemingly enjoying their job. Thats not normal in world... especially a spot that could easily look like the LA highways during morning traffic.My fruit infused brewed ice teas were decent... slightly watery but I needed something to keep me from dying in the San Diego heat.Service & cleanliness... 4 starsDrinks ... 3 stars

One of my favorite San Diego Starbucks. The employees are always quick, super polite, and cheery. I tend to mobile order right when they open and they always have it ready by the time I get there. Even if there is a mobile ordering printer glitch on their side, they go out of their way to fix it and get me on my way. Quick walk from the Omni Hotel and right in the middle of the Gaslamp District. I always make a point to stop in while Im in the area.

Busiest Starbucks ever but if you mobile order its pretty quick. Every Barista was engaged in getting everyone their items. It gets really noisy in there so sometimes you cant hear them call your name.

Its Starbucks! Dont expect anything more than a regular Starbucks. The service here ranks in the top tier compared to other Starbucks places. They are friendly, helpful and have plenty of suggestions. Like any Starbucks, theres free wifi and a nice seating area for just hanging out in the middle of the Gaslamp to just people watch. It is right next to the West exit of the Hard Rock Hotel making it very convenient for any hotel guest to pop in for their morning cup or any cup of the day up to 10pm.

Went here last night to charge my phone and get out of the cold I looked homeless but Im not girl gave me a look like I wasnt welcome there ordered my drink sat down next to homeless guy minding his business bothering no one barely busy hes falling asleep while charging his phone she comes up and tells him to stay awake he cant sleep there first of all he was bothering no body Im a paying customer he wasnt bothering me, cold outside, and your job is customer service right so how about she worries if the next person in line gets a coffee instead of some poor guy resting his eyes and staying out of the cold it doesnt say paying customers only does it no hes homeless doesnt mean you gotta be rude worry about your customers or Maybe find something thats better fit cus obviously this job isnt for you! Nice little starbucks rigght near trolley station and the old gaslamp quarter sign (next to HardRock hotel). Good service. Really efficient staff. Easy 5 min maximum walk to get to from Hilton Hotel on the bayfront. Close to other hotels as well.

The staff there is very disrespectful. I came in today(April 24 2018 just before 11am)for my coffee and asked to use the restroom first and a short blonde hair girl looked at me and said sorry we don’t have a public restroom here. Then she just looked me like I you going to buy anything or what? I left and and looked for a restroom in the hotel. I later learned that this Starbucks is inside Hard Rock hotel which means all Starbucks customers are suppose to use that restroom in their lobby. When I went back and confronted her one of the ladies(fat, short black hair and probably Mexican in a black shirt) backed her up and said Starbucks employees are not suppose to tell their customers to go use the restroom in the hotel because the hotel doesn’t allow that and she clearly said it’s company policy. Shame on you. I will never go to any Starbucks again. I am very disappointed. By the way this is my first time reviewing any business. So do the maths.
