The coffee is amazing! So delicious and many varieties to choose from. Truly some of the best coffee in the area!

Mojito coffee is a must try. I was a bit skeptical but the won over. Tesora bland was excellent too.

This location was, (as I have found every Philz Coffee I have visited prior to be) a wonderful experience. Their staff are amazing and kind. You can tell the kind of company by the happiness of the people working there When I find a Philz, I will always order the Mint Mojito in honor of my son Shane Colombo. He loved this drink.❤🦋🌈It could not have been better! Thank you Eddie and Philz! You guys simply are the best!

Busy, but worth the wait. However, the only reason its busy is because the staff makes each coffee one at a time. This level of care truly makes a difference and is probably on of the best coffee shops Ive visited in a while.

The coffee is very good Phil, but $4.50 for a plain doughnut? I dont understand...is that the going rate for SD doughnuts? Bring this down to earth and well be seeing a lot more of you.

Stopped in and had the Ecstatic Iced Coffee. Great flavor! My wife had the Dancing Waters coffee and loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

They specialize in coffee I know and “real” aficionados take their coffee black I’m told.But PLEASE - offer high quality, organic milks for the rest of us.AltaDena cream (😳) and almond milk out of the box... not cool.The rest of coffee shops in area at least use Straus milks and some even make their own nut milks. Organic.The food is quite unremarkable. Eggs were pale yellow, not tasty. Food not made on premises so not very fresh.Tried a specialty coffee, was smooth but came with a mint leaf infused 🍃hmmm, strange.

When I want to treat myself to good coffee I come here! The coffee is so smooth and tasty and my add ins that I request are just the perfect amount. They really know their beans here!

Great coffee, but food not so good. The breakfast burrito is tiny, especially for the price. Its really more of a skinny taquito. Anyway, coffee is good and employees are friendly.

The coffee was good but even with ordering on line it was 15 minutes till we were served and then they botched the order! They did all they could to make it right though!

Excellent iced coffees! Ive tried the Mint Mojito and Gingersnap iced coffees at this location and both were really good. Well balanced in sweetness with coffee bitter, although I would prefer a bit stronger mint and ginger flavors, which was how the originals tasted in Nor Cal.

Philz is the most consistent coffee joint youll come across outside of locally brewed Cafes.So far everyone was very nice and seemed happy to work here at this particular location.One of the only places I can just drink black coffee if I needed to... I have never tried a drink and not liked it..If you are looking for an amazing place to enjoy actual coffee and not wild starbucks concoctions that look like playdough, this is the best place by far.They have a secret menu with variations, but Philz coffee joints do not service or have espresso or lattes like that, just coffee creamer and sugar , but you will find that with simplicity in their menu, comes high quality taste that you wont find anywhere else.Tip: search for the secret menu variations and try those ..well worth it.Toodles! ✌️

Very clean store with great Covid-19 protocol for social distancing. Coffee and tea was good but not great like original and Santa Monica stores.

Overall a good cup of coffee. If you are looking for a barista experience with espresso based drinks, this is NOT the place for you. Their coffee menu is all drip coffee, made to order, one cup at a time.Their coffee options are tasty but some customers might be disappointed if they were expecting something other than drip.I also marked them down due to price. Considering that its just a cup of coffee, their prices seem a little steep (no pun intended).

For what it is, 5 stars for sure. If you are looking for a good tasting coffee, Philz is great. It isnt fast, and they usually tell you so. If you want a drip with bad taste, do not come here.But, if your coffee taste has become more discerning and sophisticated, i.e. you want to taste your coffee, then I highly recommend you visit Philz when you have 15 minutes to park, order, relax w your phone, and then enjoy a cup of coffee that is better than any cup youve ever made. And by the way, if you dont make (or havent ever) your own coffee, you probably wont appreciate it... but maybe it will open your tastebuds.

First time trying their coffee. Decided to try the mint mojito, so good!! Definitely opened up my tastebuds from just always having Starbucks. Also, during this covid pandemic they have created a simple way of ordering and delivering their coffee to customers. Such a cute friendly place.

Everyone likez Philz. Been going to Philz all over SoCal for years. Do reccomend it. My only critique is that its never ready, when the app says its ready. After ordering, the app gives an estimated time it will be ready, i.e8:05a. I arrive at 8:05a and the app also says that i.e. Jane has your order ready. Or, Juan has your order ready. But when they ask me who the order is for, and i give them my name, they ALWAYS tell me, Itll be ready in a couple minutes. And then i wait 2-5 minutes. Cant rememebr the last time this didnt happen. So, theres that. But, overall, its good coffee, hip environment. 4 out 5 stars :-)

Easily my favorite coffee chain in California. Amazing atmosphere and experience. It is not a typical latte type place. You will have a drink that tastes great but is unique to Philz.

Love Philz. It takes some time to figure out which blends you like but once you do, you’re golden. My favorite is silken splendor, my husbands fave is philtered soul. You can also customize with cream, milk, sugar, and how much of those you want. My go-to is silken splendor light cream. You can also do half of one blend and half of another! They also have some tea drinks. I’ve never had their baked goods but their roasts are delicious and filling.

Best baristas (Ryan is the man) and the absolute best coffee! Try the oatmeal raisin cookie if you like your coffee sweet and ask for it creamy 😁

I wide variety of pour over roasts available all day. The menu is detailed with flavor profiles and easy to read. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the various blends. Bonus points for being able to pay with your phone.

Philz has great, quality coffee and an excellent vibe, but its always slow af to get your drink. I highly recommend trying them, but dont be in a hurry. If theres a line in front of you, you may be waiting 20 to 30 minutes before youre drinking any java

Coffee is better than most but also more expensive than most. Sunday morning barista seemed annoyed to be working there and showed minimal hospitality. Nonetheless, she made the coffee well. Cashier was much friendlier.

A lot of their coffees are very smooth tasting, which is unique. I had the Tesora and it did not disappoint. I first heard of this place when visiting LA so it is cool to see they are expanding down in SD. Definitely a great spot to try!

One of the best places to get coffee, and hang. The typical cosy california vibe can be felt at almost any location. The one at Delmar is especially favorite because of its proximity to so many other shops nearby. Really enjoy the Philharmonic, Philtered soul, and Julies ultimate, philz style :)

They don’t have espresso. It’s expensive drip coffee and sub par at that. Took one drink and threw it away.

Philz is so good! This location can sometimes be inconsistent with their drinks (aka I have certain baristas that I prefer, and it really shouldnt be like that), but otherwise, its usually tasty!

I come to visit for 10 days every year and I spend at least half of those mornings having coffee and a little snack to start my California day. We even ship beans back home.

My wife and I dropped by here to check out the new store soon after it opened.We enjoyed a couple of small coffees while we mingled with the opening day throng.Very nice coffee shop with a lovely front patio.

Not sure why the hype, the one in Huntington beach always has the long line I dont want to be part of. Finally tried this in SD, nothing special, I think Jungle Java has much more character.
