My Truck, 2019 Ram, was brought here through my insurance company,Overpriced estimate in my opinion but it’s insurance call so they started to fix it after a side collision.Took almost two months, said due to parts delivery,.. ok.Got it back and they didn’t install back step to the bed of the truck, it’s a kick step and was somewhat difficult for me to install, but okay. Maybe they just forgot. Called them and I was told by Mike that it was damaged.. I know it wasn’t because I used it to unload my truck after accident. It’s in the picture below is perfect shape after accident by the way. Had to call insurance and deal with them again.When I started to drive my truck I noticed annoying squeak from the rear left tire that I never had before. Called them and was told to bring it back any time, everything should be as it was prior to accident. Inspected breakers, those were okay.Finally I got a day off and took truck in,.. when again I was told they won’t see it today and that I’ll get a call… never did.Called next week again, and was told that alignment was done and I need to take it to Dodge dealership for inspection… very frustrating and not cool to be blowing off clients like that even if it’s insurance related.

I must admit at the age of 61 this was my first time purchasing a brand new vehicle for myself. I was a bit nervous but after meeting with my salesman Alex Rodriguez on the telephone and in person he greeted me with a cheerful smile and he was very warm and respectful his customer service skills whats on a 10-level he really knows his job because he won me over. Because of Alex I am the proud owner of my first 2022 Chevy Chevrolet Colorado. I love it very much. I came back a few times just to ask Alex questions and he was always available. I look forward to doing all my business with my new vehicle at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet and I would highly recommend family and friends to go shop for their new vehicle or Vehicles accessories. I am very happy with my Colorado I tell you what to sit inside of my own new vehicle and the fresh smell of the new interior. It is an experience I have never experienced before its beautiful and its amazing. I can definitely check this one off my bucket list that I purchased my first new vehicle. Took for first service. First time using this dealership service center. Was told two hours on an oil change and tire rotation - Definitely well longer than industry average. Checked on progress at the 1 hr 40 min mark, had not even been moved to a bay yet. Watched technician perform whole service in 19 min. Why am I there waiting in person for 2 hrs on a 20 min service? On top of that was told DEF top off was included in first service. They topped to 59%. I didnt even bother saying anything... Whole experience was extremely frustrating. Would not use dealership service again. *Side note, my service rep was courteous and as helpful as he could be. I gave two stars because of him.

I was sent a letter in regards to a recall for the Bolt EV and was told to schedule an appointment as the parts were available. Upon calling to schedule an appointment, it took me six different phone calls across three days just to get a hold of the scheduler. Once I was able to speak with her, I confirmed the information given to me on the letter, was told there were parts, and I scheduled an appointment. I dropped my car off the night before. The next day I received a call saying that my car was ready. When I went to pick up the car, I asked about the battery parts and at that point was told they never replaced the parts. As no service manager called at the beginning of the scheduled appointment, I was shocked and angry that I had been lied to and never communicated with regarding the lack of parts. In addition, they installed programming that I did not approve. In fact, since the installation of these programs, the car does not charge properly and resets all my features that I programmed which causes me to have to check the car every hour or so to restart the charging process. I had asked the service department to charge the car upon pick up. No one bothered to check to see if it was charging so when I picked it up, it was not charged properly. I brought the car back to the service department as it would not charge at home. They found nothing wrong, but they did misplace my keys when I came to come get the car. They offered no explanations as to why the car is charging improperly but did offer a lot of improper suggestions as to what was wrong. In fact, the information provided was obviously a guess by someone who has never driven this particular car. I have called another dealership and was given more information about the recall and the patches in five minutes than I ever received from Kearny Mesa. Almost every person I dealt with either blamed, lied, or misled in their explanation of what was happening with my vehicle. I could not believe how poorly trained the employees were, how poorly executed the service, and how poorly communicated were the issues with my vehicle. I had to take time off of work just to have my car given back to me in worse shape than how I gave it to them. I am truly disgusted and angered by this whole process.

Went in thinking about possibly leasing a vehicle and came out with the perfect car for my needs. Marco was incredibly helpful and did not mess around trying to sell me anything that I didnt need. He helped me get to a price within budget and tried to deal discounts my way as much as he could. Marco really worked with me and helped me feel less overwhelmed about my first time leasing a vehicle (all on my own). The Allstate agent that assisted me (Maria) was also super kind and helped me get a great bundle. The finance person was also very upfront about what I needed and should invest in. I was there for a while since a lot of people were buying cars that day, but everyone I interacted with was super kind and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Horrible experience!! I just left there from getting an oil change and the batteries changed on my key fobs. Both key fobs were given to the tech and he lost it then lied and said we never gave him 2 and they refuse to replace what they lost!!!! this is absolutely ridiculous and they have cameras which will show and prove we brought in two key fobs! Zero stars for them not fixing and owning up to their mistake!

We had an awesome experience at this dealership. I had a quote for the car I wanted and had made an appointment to come in for a test drive and purchase a Chevy Equinox. Ryan, our salesperson walked us through the process and made it feel like a breeze. He honored my employee discount and had the exact model trim we wanted to purchase. We were in and out of the dealership in two and a half hours, which is extremely fast considering all we did - test drive, finance the purchase and discuss auto insurance .We would definitely come back for servicing our vehicle and, most likely, for our next new vehicle.Slavina and Vicki

There was a mix up during scheduling with the call center about a rental being available upon drop off at service. The service rep that checked me in was extremely rude. The manager, got involved and changed the experience around completely. He handled my vehicle, was professional, and pleasant to speak with. Aurelia was knowledgeable and understood our needs. The problem we encountered is that we decided on a vehicle and made the appoint to purchase. We were told that they would have it cleaned and paperwork ready for us to come in and finalize. The problem was on our way to the dealership I received a text that the care we wanted was sold. This was very disappointing and I was very angry to the point I didnt even want to buy anything from there. I have been a loyal customer since 2001 as I bought 5 vehicles and serviced each one only at this dealership. I also brought over a couple friends who purchased vehicles there. I am still frustrated on how this went and I am thinking of going in a different direction on my next purchase. Dont get me wrong I love Chevy it is the dealership.

It took 4 hours to complete a software update that probably could be done automatically from home if Chevrolet had the proper infrastructure. The service agents told me I could now charge my Bolt EV battery to 100%. This is confusing considering I had previously received a notice that I should not charge my battery above 90%, even with the software update, or risk setting my car on fire. Either the service agents are uninformed, or perhaps the recall issue has been resolved.

Had an appointment at 12:45 for oil change. Service guy said they recommend sum other service as well. I said yes do it. He said it will not increase the time. He quoted 1 1/2 - 2 hours. After i waited two hours he comes and tells me they are out of my oil filter . Do i want to come back tomorrow. I said absolutely not. He said it will be 45 min more so someone can go get a filter . I said ok and then it took 1 hour and 15 min. What is the purpose of a appointment to deal with this. Even when i pulled up for appointment it took someone a while to acknowledge me even being there while staff played with each other inside. Every time i come back the service gets worse. This starts from the top. I am disappointed

Went there after having submitted my paperwork before hand. Car had a chip on the door and was asked if I could pick it up later that week so the car could be fix/worked on.Showed up and I had to produce all my documentation again. Then they changed the price previously agreed upon of vehicle because one of my discounts was not going through.On two occasions, once while waiting in the showroom alone while my salesperson was running around, I could hear guys behind the glass room using foul language. Again, it happened while I was with the finance guy, someone kept on using foul language in the room next door. The finance guy apologized for their loudness.Finally, after about 3 hours, as salesperson is going over some basic features, I asked about setting up the XM Radio, and he told me he couldnt because he was on his way out. He had to go. I kept my mouth shut, but I felt that as a customer I should have never been told that.

Horrible customer service..right from the start! First I called to make my appointment for my routine warranty check and the appointment setter suggested I may have to leave my vehicle overnight..because I had concern about a slow start up that morning..I mentioned my cooling fluid was low the day prior and the Good Samaritan at the Auto Zone that showed me how to fill the fluid suggested I might have a missing cap in my engine..the suggestion of this without first taking the vehicle in had me upset because it was just my word not a sure thing..the day of my appointment I pulled up to the service department and I felt uncomfortable with the approach of two employees..assuming because I purchased a 2018 Nissan from a Chevy dealership and I’m guessing this was their concern..still wrong! Anyways, I waited 2hrs and AJ Kmichik was my service advisor and finalized my appointment with a Preworkorder $1747.07 ..I asked about their finance program and said I would call back with my available schedule since they were completely booked for any upcoming dates..next day I called because my check engine light came on..I called AJ (since no other advisor could assist me) and he said I have to take to Nissan..fine with me and I did..BUT I called him back with additional questions about my prior vehicle appointment and I first left a message with the lady taking calls..the next day again left a message on his direct line..Still 2dys later NO return call..I feel very disappointed in this entire experience..a waste of my time to write such a lengthy review..but felt the need to express the way they treat their customers..FYI my trade in vehicle WAS a Chevrolet and selling me a Nissan at 25000mi the buy for me was a steal!! Such a “Great Buying Experience”....But unfortunately Kearney Mesa Chevrolet has since lost my business!

The only reason I did not give an excellent rating is because when I called to schedule my service appointment I advised the rep I received an Onstar notification advising a problem with my transmission was detected and I need to get it checked out. I was also coming up on an oil change and figured while I had it with them might as well get it taken care of. I asked for an afternoon appointment due to schedule conflict but was advised to have the transmission checked I needed to drop my truck off in the morning and leave it all day. When I arrived at my appointment I was told their transmission dept is backed up over 3 weeks and they wouldnt be able to get to it during that visit, only change my oil. Would have been nice to know that up front so I didnt need to re-arrange my whole day, find someone to pick me up and drop me off, etc. for just an oil change. Other than that the service rep was professional, oil change, tire rotation, etc. all good. No other issues.

Let me start by saying I have been a loyal Chevy owner and customer of Jimmy Johnson for my last two vehicles and didnt have anything negative to say until today.After test driving a 2017 Mustang for my girlfriend and arranging a deal for her to setup a contract and deliver a bank certified check from her credit union, the sales dept threw the deal out because she refused to have her credit ran. We were not looking for GM financing and were ready to deliver the certified check tomorrow, sign contract, and wait for the check to clear before taking possession. But their sales dept insisted they needed to run credit. WHO DOES THAT? You guys just blew a sale.And Im on the market for a new Silverado with a similar scenario, I have cash to pay but my credit union does not like giving tens of thousands in cash like that, it takes a week notice to have them ready that amount. They do a certified check. Not everyone needs financing, I cant believe JJ is blowing deals because of this

The big Company like Chevy at Kearney Mesa has only 2 technicians and my car dropped off on Wednesday morning at 10am and had only 4 cars ahead of me, today is Friday and they still have not done the diagnose my car, this is poor management, poor customer service, poor reliability. I originally came in near closing time on a Sunday but the salesperson, Rit, was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t end up buying right away but I got all the answers I needed to make my decision after searching online for quite a while and test driving multiple brands.The next day I called the dealership to let them know what car I wanted and they happily put it on hold until I could make it back to the dealership from Temecula after work.Francisco helped me get the sales process under way and was very helpful in getting things done quickly since I was in a bit of a time crunch.Mike from financing was awesome and a pleasure to close the deal with.Overall excellent experience!

Our salesman Ryan was great! He was very informative and up front about the inventory issues dealers are facing right now. He was not pushy and didnt try to sellus on something we didnt want. He made the whole buying process feel relaxed,the complete oppossite experience we have had from other car salesmen. I would deffinetly recommend others to buy from Ryan and KM Chevy.

My daughter recently relocated from the East Coast to the San Diego area, and needed to buy her very first car. As an overprotective father with 21 years in the auto industry, I wanted to make sure she was not completely screwed over. Let me tell you, Carter Tremmel, her sales rep, was a consummate professional. He kept me apprised of every step in the process, sent me all the info for which I asked, and made sure my daughter was treated with respect the entire way through the buying process. Ross, the finance manager, is also highly recommended. I had a question about a service plan that we had not discussed (that I admittedly came in a little hot over), and Ross was very prompt in answering my questions. I guess the highest compliment I can pay this dealership and these two gentlemen is that I would be very happy if my daughter decided to purchase from them again.

The general experience of an oil change/tire rotation, etc, was good.I have a recent issue with my rear-view mirror. I see 3 images. Thet noted the issue, and said they would look at it. When I picked-up my vehicle, it was mentioned that it was fixed. Just an inadvertent setting. Fine.It was not fixed, and is the same as before. 3 images.

Unsatisfactory Service Department. I have been coming here for 7 years and the service use to be outstanding but that apparently left the door when Derek left. I went in for a routine oil change and ended up with a 3 day wait for a oil pan replacement because the threads on to the oil plug were completely ripped out clean, this should take at most 2 days for cure time. I was told the damage was wear and tear at 120k miles, I call bs, after research I did not find that to be an issue or a recall with gm and they tried to hit me with a $1,800 repair. You obviously overtorqued it and should repair it, not hand me a bill. Did not even reset the oil life, a simple task yet also missed. I dont see my self ever coming back, your service went to the drain.

Horrible communication, unethical business practices. Impossible to get ahold of financing, the operator screens all their calls (I’ve called at location and watched through the glass) 3 hard pulls on credit, only 1 authorized including an unauthorized credit pull 33 days after I purchased the car. No reply via email no reply to call messages left. Sales teamWas good, financing and Egh not so much.

Had a great experience overall. Carter was great to work with, super friendly and helpful. He even had toys and coloring materials ready to go to help us keep our 2 year old entertained. I buy vehicles relatively frequently from multiple different brands and this was one of the best overall experiences. No games, no high pressure sales tactics, it made the car buying experience super low stress.

My check engine light turned on and I made an appointment to have it serviced. I also mentioned I would be going on a road trip next weekend and would like an inspection of fluids, brakes, etc. Rose was great with communication that day and called to inform me that the issue with the check engine light was still under warranty and that the rest of the car checked out fine. She asked if I wanted an oil change for my trip and I said of course so we left it there an extra day. I drove my car the following days and it still felt off but the check engine light issue was solved, the brakes and fluids checked out fine, and my oil had just been changed. So I figured maybe it was my tires and called where I purchased my tires to have them balanced. When that didn’t work either I called Rose to let her know my car still felt off and it was the day of my road trip. I was informed she was on lunch but she would call me in 30 minutes. That was this past Thursday and I still haven’t gotten a call back even after I gave her a 5 star review for her great communication skills on the survey they emailed me :( I called my uncle and he said it might be my brake pads but I insisted they had just been inspected by the dealership so I doubted it. We took it to a mechanic who was able to squeeze me in since he knew I was leaving that night. My brake pads were down to 20% and 1 was cracked. My car mileage on a 2015 equinox is 81k for reference and have never replaced my brake pads. Let me tell you what a difference and how smooth my drive was once I had my new brake pads installed. I drove all the way to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico with 2 toddlers and can only imagine what could have happened to us trying to brake on those roads. I just got back home today and still feel that there was No concern for our safety at all. I’m really sad and disappointed.
