I had the standing rigging replaced on my 27 foot sailboat. The boat was hauled in Oceanside Marina and Chris is based in San Diego. As Chris does not normally work in Oceanside, after agreeing to the work he stressed to me that he would have to charge me if I had any questions about his work arose that required him to inspect it.After stepping the mast, Chris was not present, I did have some questions about tuning the rigging and then later about some rust stains that appeared on the 316 wire Chris used. Initially Chris gave me some guidelines for tuning my rigging but later questions went unanswered. I realize he did not charge me to tune my rigging or teach me how to do it but as replacing the rigging required it to be retuned I think he should included some how to advice in his price. Chris stated the rust staining was normal for boats in Oceanside. He suggested I clean the rigging to remove it.In my opinion the explanation about the rust staining was an unsatisfactory response for someone who works with 316 wire on a regular basis. As for my questions about tuning the rigging this was only my second email asking about it. A few minutes of his time may have been good business practice.

Chris is the best! We are new boat owners and Chris helped us out with our Catalina 30 Tabernacle rigging. He is super knowledgeable and passionate about his work. SO STOKED! With everything backed up from the quarantine it looked like it was going to be 4-6 weeks before Chris could find time in the schedule to fit in my project. Totally understandable.
