Ive been told if I ever needed any upholstery work done, this is the place to go. I went there today for the first time and happened to meet the owner. Great guy, very knowledgeable and honest. I had a few things he recommended I go to the dealership with and overall guided me to what would be best for me on what I wanted rather than try to sell me something. If youre looking to be treated fair and honestly, this is the place to go. Ive seen their work on my friends car and the workmanship is great!!

So far, everything I’ve asked for, these guys have done, and better than I could’ve hoped for. When every other shop says “impossible” Dave and his crew say, “yah, we can find a way to make that work”. They have replaced the 50 year old canvas on my pop-top, they put a sunroof up front and a ragtop in the back, they reupholstered my front seats with original Ford King Ranch leather, they even replaced the torn vinyl on my Harley seat with beautiful Mercedes leather. You guys are amazing, thank you from the bottom of my heart💙

Someone stole my credit card information and repeatedly tried to charge it at this business. Given the strange repeated charges for smaller amounts to test the waters I suspect an employee here is in on it with whoever got the card info. Luckily the credit card companies are smarter than the thieves and all charges were declined. If the owner of the business is interested in finding out which employee authorized the charges Id be happy to provide the dates and amounts of the charges.

Mike and the team were helpful and delightful from start to finish. A laid back, familiar atmosphere in a mom-pop shop scene. Needed help with leaking and broken convertible. They tested the car and found no need to do costly repairs (which, I am certain other dealerships would have done for billable hours just because they could). They fixed exactly what was necessary and covering extra bases inside that cost. No leaking convertible, works perfectly. I certainly recommend for your convertible needs.

The customer service of this place and responsiveness is outstanding. The whole team was so supportive and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The communication was so easy. I brought my car in to get my soft top replaced and they did an outstanding job! I would recommend this place any time to anyone.

These guys are awesome! From the office to the workshop, everyone was friendly. I had two vintage dental chairs upholstered. The stitching and attention to detail went beyond my expectation. The price was more than fair and the turnaround was fast. I have had several of these chairs done over the years by a variety of places. This was by far the best experience . I would recommend Ocean Beach Upholstery to anyone.

The front office is close to dysfunctional. Make sure you get a solid answer or quote from the front office before anything is done. Workmanship is OK, i wouldnt write home about it. Reused my old seat trim, and didnt even take the time to clean the dust off it. Pricing seems high. $105 to paint a seat frame, thats partially painted. Miss placed items. Test the waters somewhere else if you have the choice.No recommendations from me

Ocean Beach Boat & Auto Upholstery did a phenomenal job turning a big leather rip in my cars driver seat into product right off of the assembly line, No color matching or sizing issues. Professional customer service, Professional Business at a reasonable price.Would recommend to Anyone, Do Not go anywhere else for upholstery repair.

After being referred to the shop, I dropped my 1982 Mercedes off for a new headliner and extensive interior work. Open to time and pricing, I just wanted the job done right. 3 months go by and after asking if the car is parked inside and how the car is coming along, I was informed the car was inside and it was being worked on. A fellow car club friend asked to take me by one Saturday to see the work at the shop. To my dismay I found the car sitting outside under a leaking awning with the car cover on inside out. The car just had a $1500 sunroof seal replaced and found mold/moss growing in the wet crevices and two areas of overspray/paint damage on the car. I asked a kid working at the shop for the key and I took the car. Not so much as a phone call was given with any explanation. I informed everyone I know and the Mercedes club to pull their advertising along with the repair shops I work with. I work in the automotive industry and will refer anyone needing work to Encinitas Upholstery. This business should go out of business.

Had a great experience. I had a a busted zipper on the rear window of my Jeep Wrangler. The guys were able to replace the pull tab on the zipper in about an hour, much cheaper and much faster than I had expected. I thought I was going to have to leave my car there for a day to replace the entire zipper ensemble (pull tab, teeth going all the way around, etc), but all it took was one short trip. Great shop!

Dave is amazing I give him 100 for honesty...1000 for integrity...and 2000 for being an overall nice human being and 5000 for being a businessman with amazing values....bring your convertible and boating issues to him, no one is wiser when it comes to these things. Bravo Dave, Ricky is super friendly and his staff if amazing...usually service is measured on a scale of 1-10 I had to use 1000s to properly put in context his great service!
