Sonia was one of the main reasons we purchased a wallbed at sleep bedder. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. My wife would not let me walk out of that store without buying from this establishment! We also received a quality product and extremely happy. If I could give more stars, I would. This is an amazing store with a great selection of mattresses and furniture. I got a great non-toxic mattress, bed frame, kapok pillows and sheets for a great price. Sonia is very knowledgeable and friendly, providing a wonderful shopping experience that you will not get anywhere else. She offers a white glove service that handles all the logistics of delivery and assembly, so I literally didnt have to do anything, making this process completely stress-free. Even if you dont need a mattress, this is a cool store to visit, as it features a lot of products and events from local artists.

Sonia is fantastic! She is one-of-a-kind, and it truly reflects in her business. She supports local artisans, healers, musicians, artists by hosting regular events, and providing a platform for those to sell their items (pop-up events, consignment). I bought a fabulous organic mattress at such a great value. It was a floor sample, and I lucked out, it was only on the floor for a few months. She stored my mattress, sheets, and bed protector for a month, as I was waiting to move into my new place. We spend about 30% of our life resting, dreaming, rejuvenating, it only made sense to me that I should invest in a fabulous mattress with a warranty. Thank you Sonia for always being such a hospitable, radiant soul!

This is hands-down the best place to buy non-toxic Mattresses and bedding in San Diego. Sonia was super helpful, sweet and just fun to chat with. The shop is a work of art and the products featured are from many local vendors in San Diego and California. We bought an amazing organic/non-toxic mattress and a couple of kapok stuffed pillows and couldnt be happier. Steve was also a big help, helping load up the vehicle. Well certainly be back!

This is a really cool shop for beds, furniture, and local art. The staff I met were kind, patient and knowledgeable. They helped me find my perfect new mattress, pillows and sheets at a great price, and it was delivered to my apartment the next day. Also, Sonia was making hot cocoa and shared some with me. It was delicious.Go check this place out! Even if you arent shopping for a bed or furniture, its just a cool place. Sleep Bedder is the best place in San Diego to buy a bed, hands down. I’ve become so accustomed to impersonal service at big box stores and chains, that walking into Sleep Bedder was a breath of fresh air (literally, I took a deep breath upon entering). Sonia and crew provided excellent customer service, even offering me a fresh cup of tea as I tried out beds. There was not one hint of pushy salesmanship here, and I was even encouraged to sleep on it and come back. The delivered and set up quickly and professionally as well.I have finally, in my mid-30s, seen the light on how important it is to get a good night’s sleep, as we spend a third of our lives doing so. I have had this bed about a month now and never slept so well in my life. I also had the privilege to talk for a bit to Stephen, who does a lot of the in-house woodwork, about creating a custom bed frame with reclaimed wood. Even if you don’t need a new bed, you should check out their other offerings, including in-house yoga. If you live in North Park, or anywhere in the surrounding San Diego area, this is a must check out. As another reviewer said, “shop local, shop small”. It’s a pleasure to support great people doing great things and improving the community with good business.

Absolutely love this place. Ive purchased 3 mattresses from here and couldnt be happier. Ive also purchased wonderful art from here, as well as attended yoga classes, acupuncture, seasonal dinner parties and full moon festivities.What Sonia (the owner) has done with this space is incredible. Not only is this an incredible mattress store but its an incredible community space. They hold amazing events and are so generous with every person that comes through. When we finally needed a new mattress we knew this was the only real option. Were so happy!

The kind of store that makes you want to deck your house out in a nouveau hippie style. Store owner is very pleasant and helpful, the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming.

I ordered a $3,600 bed that was suppose to take 7 to 10 days. 3 weeks later when I went to go ask about my bed I got this response from the owner Im very sorry but what do you want me to do? Itll be here Saturday for sure. Saturday comes along and still nothing. I finally got my bed the next Monday so I slept on the couch for almost a month. If she would have told me it was going to take a month I would have went somewhere else but she hooked me with the 7 day turn around time. Unfortunately this place is no good for buying a bed but she has aroma therapy classes at the same location that seem to be a hit.

Small bump in the road but Sonia took care of it asap. Check this store out, its one of the most creative stores in San Diego. Gave up on Jeromes a long time ago.

Sleep Bedder is a mattress buying experience unlike any other. Sonia is on a mission to make the world a better place by selling the right mattress to the right person. I was referred here by a local acupuncturist. You can tell immediately that this isnt your typical mattress emporium when you walk in - Sonia makes it a point to embrace the local community and she show-cases crafts, art and products made by the community. She even teaches yoga classes in her store! I have a bad back and trochanteric bursitis. My bursitis is almost gone and my back is much better for having bought the right bed for me. She was really willing to work with me on the price as well.

Had the best experience at sleep bedder! my boyfriend and I have been searching for a mattress for the past few days and have been resorting to craigslist in order to keep it in our price range. We were skeptical about coming into such a beautiful store because everything looks so expensive! but sonia and kayla showed us around and managed to get us the bed we fell in love with for such a reasonable price.
