The state run liquor lost a star for lack of selection of whisky/bourbons . The folks that work there are so nice . A homeless gentleman was talking to staff about rocks and they were so kind to him by humoring by listening and asking questions . I ended finding a bottle I’ve not had before , so it worked out

Clean and organized facility. The location is super convenient. The staff were friendly. I appreciate the measures taken to safeguard customers from covid. I appreciated the manager taking time to discuss how to order international beers. I most likely will be back.

The people working here were friendly, but I was very disappointed by the wine and champagne selection. Heart broken really.

Carolyn (I think) was wonderful, setting aside a special bottle that I was anxious to get for my son until I could get off work and travel there. I came in as soon as I got off.. Another lady (sadly I couldnt see her name tag - I really need new glasses 😏 she was in the first register near the door, short gray hair) also helped with the hold. I couldnt be more pleased. A young woman also helped me get a nice bottle of wine for myself. Everyone was so helpful. Top grades for the staff. 👍 The selection was varied and the store and stock well maintained. I highly recommend this store.

They have a great selection. It is well organized and the stuff is very friendly. Prices are okay just like anywhere else. Parking seam to be a little crowded. But it was a Friday night and I guess it is just normal for a weekend.

Depends when you go. They require masks and a 6ft distance, even outside of the store. They do close at 7, however the people are pretty nice and the selection is ok. I marked down because of the limited alcohol selection

I live close so this is where i get drink. I dont go here for nice friendly people, they are not. If you value that all masks must cover nose. Then a five star is mandatory. But six by the nose police is not going to hqppen they are in your before you can say cheers mate.

Cashier ran out into the parking to find me when I forgot to remove my MasterCard from the PIN pad. Thats a fiver in my book. They also usually have what youre looking for. It can get rather busy on thirst Thursday and all those other burnt collegiate cliche named weekly drinking days. But still, I hate losing CCs

Always a pain having to go to a state controlled liquor but here its short staffed when its the busiest, empty shelves. No body is friendly.

As far as Utah liquor stores go, this one is one of the better ones. The beer selection is pretty good and they get new stuff fairly regularly. The parking is less than ideal on weekends but its not bad if you can handle a couple minutes wait.

I parked and my friend went inside the store for some liquor. While I was waiting for what it was a really short visit, Ive noticed that there was one policeman looking out for customer, patrolling the parking lot keeping us safe. The visit was short due to a few factors, fast service, the beverage easy to find, good cleaning and specially the great customer service of the cashiers.

Clean, well stocked, friendly staff. They are objective about closing hours, just get through the door before then.

If I could have given them a rating of 100% I would have! Went this weekend, they were spot on with their social distancing. I was in and out in just a few minutes. The security person at the door was amazing! He was thorough, informative and polite. The employees did everything in their power to keep the experience sanitary yet upbeat. I felt very safe. The services is crampy, the employees is very rude with the costumer, they have bad actitud, the prices is higher comparable to other store, the place is dirty and have to much people inside in middle of the Cov-19,. Horrible image for Utah, our companies never recommend it.

In this Liquor store, there are two people, including the security there who discriminate against tourists, they are very rude, They target people who do not live in Utah with bad attitude and arrogance threatening and do not sell liquor to tourists treating them badly and rudely, the prices are very high comparable with other liquors store.Could the governor of Utah know about these people and this liquor store?

The Store is Clean and well stocked, the employees are very courteous!(Apart from the Vagrants hanging out drinking on the side lawn/police need to address this public intoxication asap!)

Who doesnt love the liquor store. Even with over 50 people jammed in it on a Friday nigbt in sugarhouse I was only in line for no more than 5 min. The store was fully stocked and associates were working hard to restock the liquor bottles being purchased. One girl behind stocking wasnt pleasant when I asked for her to point me in the direction of the Baileys. Kinda gave me the look like that wasnt in her job description rolled her eyes and just nodded her head towards the general part of the store and said over there before I could ask for a more definitive answer she had disappeared from where she was currently stocking. Sad. Any way.... Still a great store though. Bad parking but great store.

Its just funky. Sales and stocking ppl are awesome. Place is very busy but checkout line zooms along. Miserable parking,---but such high volume you will wait and get a spot. Small space--easy to explore new things or quickly find the familiar. In the 1970s, activists for the United Farm Workers passed out flyers to identify all the Gallo wines, which were boycotted, and this location is the one I worked. Happy memories.

This is purely a preference thing, but I prefer the setup of downtowns liquor store over this one. The liquor is easier to navigate there with how they have it set up, but other than that this location is a fine stop for liquor.

Decent selection of wine and alcohol, but their beer is always the same. The store in the Avenues seems to rotate through more variety.

Parking lot is busy as hell, staff is courteous and helpful, selection is mediocre. You can expect to find alcohol here in its many different forms. Plastic bottles, glass and boxes can all be head with the contents of fire water. Be wise and dont drink and drive. Drink responsibly.

As far as government run establishments this store is pretty good. They have a good selection of beer and wine, my only complaint would have to be when is our government going to trust that its citizens are responsible enough to not need the powers to be to play God with anything they think they can make money off of. Oh sorry I forgot for a moment that we are still allowing Religion to run the government. So much for the old Separation of Church and State. Only in America

The friendliest liquor store in Salt Lake.

The store was packed with people and they handled the continuous crowd efficiently. Everyone there was above the usual level of happiness while sober. Im sure their spirits were even happier soon thereafter.

I hate going to this place, but they at least have a decent selection. Parking lot is designed for maximum frustration, and the 24 hour fitness across the way makes rush hour on that street a unique hell. I can really feel the punishment the Mormons intended for drinkers at this particular location.

Security? And door girl were very condescending when I went into the store and continued to be mean and bad mouth me and give me dirty looks while I was shopping. I get it’s frustrating to work in the times we are in but not ok for the employees to bad mouth and be mean to shoppers. Worst employees ever.

Let’s be honest, in a state with atrocious drinking laws, this business is much appreciated. Plus they have a great selection of local beers and spirits, and manage to get everyone in and out within half an hour even on their busiest days.Parking is an issue but mostly on Friday nights, especially from 6pm to close.

I really didnt like this location for several reasons . First the parking is ridiculous there is hardly any. Its hard to get to it because of traffic . The atmosphere is dark and gloomy needs a remodel badly . The employees were grumpy. Their selection is 1/2 of other locations because its size small.

Drive into parking lot surrounded by homeless folks. Gives the place an uneasy feeling. If II were female dont think I would even get out of my car..

The staff are always polite and cool. It’s probably the most busy store in all of Salt Lake but they hang in there. I try to avoid going on Friday or Saturday nights after 7:00 pm because it’s so busy that the parking turns into an adventure in itself and you’ll definitely be needing a drink by the time you get out of there.

For what and where it is, state (L.D.S.) owned and Utah respectively, its okay. Always tons of homeless people, but way less aggressive then the ones that swarm around the downtown liquor store. Small parking lot for how busy it is because, who would have thought that a store serving tens of thousands of people would need more then 15 parking spaces? Wild. Better then average selection compared Utah liquor stores, but if youre visiting here set your expectations low. As far as prices go every store is the same, which is to say, slightly more then average for wine, more then average for liquor, and infuriatingly expensive for beer. At sometimes more then $60 a case, its well worth driving to Idaho or Wyoming.

Its much better the one downtown, although that isnt hard. My only major issue is the parking lot. Except for at very off times you usually have to wait a few minutes to get a space. Staff is usually friendly and the selection is very decent.

I think theyre letting too many people in at a time, the store is packed...that means coronavirus is packed in there too.

Had to wait in line for a bit but wasnt to bad. Once I was in I could find what I needed and was out fast.

I went to the Sugarhouse store and they have the BEST beer selection available. The store is very well stocked and just packed with sales and deals. Unusual for a state liquor store. Parking is a drag though especially Saturday afternoon.

Small and crowded. Employees are nice and everything is pretty stocked. Just a lot of weird people around every time.

Asked multiple people for help for a particular product. Two whom were together wouldn’t stop to look up, just kinda looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Found someone else who was putting stock up on a shelf, and wheeled on by and almost yelled “what!?” And then without thinking, looking or hesitation just said no without even stopping.

Will you see drunk homeless people fighting in the parking lot? Possibly. Will you see a homeless person run out with a box of liquor? Also possibly. Will the store be well stocked and clean? No, more like a walmart on black friday. But hey, on the bright side, it is right across the street from the best waffles in the state.

Simple in and out store!

This is a great store has a huge selection of wine and whiskey plus there beer selection is huge.

As its one of the rare liquor stores in the area its always packed and the parking is close to impossible. The lines take 25mins+ on the weekend. They have a decent selection but not good a labeling the shelves so its hard to navigate if you are looking for something specific.

We are moving so stopped for boxes. Generous with boxes. We also replenished our vodka. In and out quickly.

This is one of two stores in my neighborhood. I gave it three stars because at peak hours parking is difficult and the lines are long. The good news is that its open until 10:00.

The Waite outside is a downfall. but you do what you have to do, if you want your medicine.

Average Utah State DABC liquor store. Mostly the same selection as the other ones around.Im only rating as 4 stars because I think the state should get out of the business of selling alcohol and leave it to private businesses.The staff seems pretty helpful and knowledgeable at this location.

This location us terribly busy, especially before a holiday. Parking is tight at best so be careful.

The State of Utah and the DABC Dona terrible job of servicing the needs of its customers. The individual employees at this and other stores are great. But the decision makers at the DABC simply refuse to put the resources in to their stores necessary to service the demand. At every liquor store in Salt Lake county there is inadequate parking and an inadequate number of employees working at any given time. Don’t expect to get out of a Utah liquor store without at least a 15-minute wait in line

This place is out of this world they have liquor here these are the only stores in Utah that carry it so if you want booze dont hesitate to swing on over to the Utah State Liquor store where their booze is your fun.
