I was told they had delicious tacos. I was told correctly! Yum!!

I have tried ordering a couple times from this place good food but they are incapable of making an order correct. Its insane that it is so hard to actually look at the order and make it the right way. NEVER AGAIN

I’ll give you an honest review.I like the beans and the rice. That was it.I ordered a parrillada. The steak wasn’t good. You have me all the beef leather, and not actual meat that I could eat. The shrimp wasn’t good. You guys use the cheap shrimp that is not clean and that it has all the poop on top. The chicken was good though.First time trying your food. I’ll try it again in month hoping that you guys can improve this. Otherwise I’ll stop buying from you guys.

Ive never shopped at the market but the restaurant in there serves a taco plater that is awesome and very well priced.

Heard tall tales about magnificent tacos delivered in a pizza box. Turns out it was this place. Delicious. Even better than advertised.

Small but has all the essentials. Must eat at the little restaurant here!!! The tacos were good and the menudo was some of the best weve had (thats not homemade).

This place is a joke. Everything is extremely over priced, and the staff is not kind towards white people.

I called in a take out order last night. I walked in to pick it up around 8:20. Immediately they advised me that they were closed..... they close at NINE. When I got home to eat the food, it was cold, and they gave me the wrong tacos. I used to frequent this place often, and am somewhat sad that I cant go back. Next time... just say you dont want someones business as opposed to sending them home with the wrong order that is cold. Extremely disappointed.

Auténtico!!!This little market is a hidden jem. Sometimes, something is lost in translation when I order (I dont speak ESPAÑOL), but I can overlook that when the food is this good!The beans and rice are ridiculous. The Burritos are beautifully spicy. The tacos are tremendously flavorful👌.Where else are you gonna get a taco platter that comes in a pizza box?This place is worth a look.

Whats the point for customers to wear a face mask if the owner/manager doesnt even know how to wear one. All the kitchen staff (who are also the same people who runs the registers and aisles) having their mask halfway up, nose discovered, some others on their chins. The only one wearing it appropriate was the kitchen cashier.Tables all dirty, full of food crumbs, idk hows this place still open. I guess people keep eating where they feel more used to to be at.

Ordered a taco, tamale and sope from DoorDash. BEST TAMALE I’ve had in Utah. I grew up in a small border town in California so I’m pretty picky and hate when the masa is dry but this was phenomenal. I got the pork and it had a little bit of of a spicy kick but nothing crazy. The taco was extremely average and the sope was pretty good.

Got chile verde burrito it was no good had to throw it in the trash .

Best place to shop for fresh ingredients for Mexican food. The owner and employees are the most polite people ever. Cleanest store in Utah I swear. You will love this place.

Anywhere but here. The food at the restaurant is maybe the most bland tasteless Mexican food in town. They must use the old brown meat that’s on display in the window of the market because it’s gave me a stomachache 2/3 times I’ve been there. The owner is VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. Save your health and money but going somewhere else.

Delicious food, well packed takeout. We had to wait a few extra minutes for our order and they threw in Cokes for us which I appreciated, very friendly.

I ordered a Shrimp/Chicken/meat skillet with a side of chicken soup and tamales de rajas (Jalapeño/Cheese) vía DoorDash. What I ended up getting was a skillet with no shrimp or chicken soup. I ended up with Tamales de pollo con chile rojo (Red chili/Chicken). All the food was dry and definitely will not be ordering from here again.

Pretty cool little Mexican Market, they have a delicious deli and good selection of Mexican treats!

I never write negative reviews but this place was legitimately inedible. The food quality was so poor about five minutes into eating it we threw it in the trash. Super disappointing, would not recommend.

Was waiting to pay for a few minutes I had to go find someone when i asked one of the girl in the kitchen area she was on her phone stood there for about 5 min.. Another lady that worked there had to get her attention...Im guessing the owner was the one to ring people... Not even a Hi or anything ( not that Im entitled or anything but its just a courtesy thing) just my total.... And he wasnt wearing a mask right... Wouldnt recommend!!!

Theyve given us the wrong order multiple times. Theyll happily charge you extra, and then wont include the extras you paid for. The food is decent, but if you value your money, go elsewhere.

Its a great little market. The meat is good, Ive been happy with everything Ive purchased. Theres a larger than expected produce section. The people are friendly. Its a bit pricey, but not too bad.The aisles are a little close together, my wheelchair has a few issues. But, the employees are happy to help me get my items if my electric chair wont quite make it round the turn. I dont expect to have spacious aisles in little stores, and its not a big deal.Im quite fond of La Tenoch, its great to have a store in the neighborhood when I need a couple of ingredients.

They have best tacos with a ton of fresh slow cooked meat & they put A LOT of meat in them!!! So good! So cheap! Their daily deals are usually under a buck but everything in that part of the store is super good value👍

Whenever I am on this side of SLC, UT, I pick up something from this market, the staff is very helpful and friendly, love the Habanero Salsa, and the Chicharrones. The taco shop inside is known as South City Tacos, If I lived closer I would shop there more often.

Went there for the taqueria they have inside and got the taco platter and holy damn was it good. My roommate and I split it but we were no match for the awesomeness. The staff was great definitely going back.

Cute neighborhood market. I stopped in to take advantage of their insane cinco de mayo specials. Stock was pretty picked over, except for sale items. I suspect if you get there earlier in the day things will be appropriately stocked. Thanks for the great sale! Ill keep watching on Facebook for specials.

***Edit***Ive since been going there a great deal and that original problematic butcher is gone and since then, I always have great help at the meat counter from then on. The owner is fantastic...He always makes sure you get whatever you need.I definitely recommend this store. I actually go here instead of Rancho market, which is up the street. I also prefer this market because its smaller...I can get in and out AND i dont expose myself to tons of people at this point of time (covid19)All in all, a fabulous market. Their meat quality is very good and their prices are comparable or better than all the stores around them. I think many of their meat products are way better than other stores & markets. And their Sonoran style tortillas are excellent. They had them first in my area....then Rancho got them..Excellent store. I will definitely continue to shop there.

So, I ordered a Gorditas barbacoa, and half of it was completely inedible! Most of the meat was gristle or fat, and they threw in a bone on top! To top it off, the cabbage and pico de gallo on the side have bits that are past their expiration date, and if I liked avocados, Id be super sad! The only reason theyre getting 2 stars is because what I could actually eat is pretty good. Im pretty sad.

I ordered tilapia and was horrible experience wasnt cooked rice was probably just 3 granes and beans just be careful cuz u will get sick same happened to me I have to trashed everything cuz that now I have horrible stomachache make sure u double check ur food

First time here and Im severely unimpressed!! The place (floor) was filthy, the guy mopping the floor didnt wash his hands and went hurrying to the register, forcing me to buy what I had and making me uncomfortable. I asked for elote and hoped to get out to finish my tacos dinner (from another location) only to get declined..he said, oh not today..., um its not even 7p.m. what gives? Plus, (the liar!!) I saw corn clearly cooked, sitting in the hot water as I was walking away...!! Not coming back.

This is hands down our favorite mercado in SLC. The owner is very friendly and will go out of his way to help you out. All of the fruits and veggies are fresh and delicious and the prices are really great. The bread is delivered daily so dont miss out on some sweet Mexican treats. Im especially a fan of their ceviche in the back deli area. Sooooo good.
