This was our first visit to the bakery. I thought by the pictures on the internet it would be a little bigger and they would have a bigger choice. Although we did get a couple of pastries and they were very good and very fresh. I would of given them a 5 start but the young man that waited on us was very rude. He did not ask if we wanted any help help or offer any other items to us. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. We will go back again. As the pastries were good.

Probably the best croissant in SLC. Maybe tied with Eva’s. Latte was not quite as good as last time. 4/5 stars. In a mood to over eat I had the MadMuffin also. So should you. Excellent!! Nice outside seating with shade. Road construction so traffic light. Not sure that will last but one can hope.

Had the best pastry that I’ve ever had here. The Kouign Amann was spectacular. Crispy, yet soft. Flake and layered. Buttery, and sweet. Almost too difficult to describe the goodness. If you’re in Salt Lake you must hit this place up.

Extremely poor customer service on Oct 29th. My mother has spent hundreds of dollars at this bakery. Well today is the last day you will get her business after the encounter with the rude guy today. I do not understand how you can expand your facility and then kick customers out of the building because of some 4 person limit. No sign displayed and then when my mom asked if the customers before her got the last of the pastry that she loves to get, the guy responds with a “ yup” in a very rude tone. She will take her business elsewhere.

Quaint, lovely, delicious! A unique café specializing in French pastries and desserts. There is a cute, outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. The storefront is petite with a large interior, plenty of French kitchen and home good items to shop while waiting. I ordered a “Tokyo tea” (matcha latte) with almond milk, a canele, samosa croissant, and madeleine. Any wait is worth the adorable packaging, though my wait was quite short. The latte came with a mini-Madeleine, too cute and very delicious. No added sugars or syrups in the latte, it was just as I expected. The samosa croissant is highly recommended! Filling, light, perfect croissant breading. The Madeleine was a bit over baked for me. The shop overall is really charming and the pastries are, though few in option, quite delicious. I would visit again, especially since it’s unique to the area and I love a flaky croissant.

Ok, so I found out Im not a of croissant sorta treats. Call me crazy. This place wasnt for me particularly. They were all out of their famous Kougn amann, so I was sad about that. So I bought two other things.I really liked the lemon treat, which is rare for me too, but boy oh boy it was yummy. The chocolate had a fried banana in it was good too.

Stopped by here for the yelp elite event and ended up ordering some things as well. First i loved how quaint of a space it is. It made me feel like I was in a cafe in france. The service was also very good. The gentleman that helped me was super nice and attentive. The yelp kit came with a variety of minni croissants/beads which were all incredibly tasty especially the chocolate filled one. Along with it I ordered the Kouign Amann, the Passion Puff, and the rice pudding. The first was delicious and was very similar to bread pudding but way better. It seemed creamier and heartier, yet not overly sweet. It was perfect. The Passion Puff i was playing suprised by. It has a pistachio cream filling that was so unique. I had never had something like that before. It has the texture of creme but a taste that was barely sweet and almost had hints of being savory. It was very fun and tasty too try. The rice pudding was pretty basic and comparable to others that Ive had. I did love its presentation though. I also found out whole i was there that they make homemade panetone. I didnt know anywhere here, especially in utah would make this bread that is so common in my home country of brazil. Im excited to order it in the future and try it out!!

I bought the croissant, kougin amann, passion fruit, canele, and a tart strawberry.  The dough of the kouign amann was smooth and flaky with individual layers, but had a very rough coating of sugar on top. Not sure if there was not enough butter to caramelize, but this was detrimental to the experience.  To me the passion fruit was by far the best of the lot. Theres a lot of thought going into the filling, and its absolutely delicious.  The caneles have the crunchy and smooth texture which is all too fun dichotomous. Sweetened mildly, these are best eaten at BULK. Dont just stop, get more. There was healthy strawberry tart. Surely be back here soon!

A small little bakery in Salt Lake. I got the kouign amann, chocolate eclare, and the zombie petite gateu. Wow, I’m so overwhelmed by how delicious every single thing I ordered was! I ate it all in one sitting, there was no way to save any for later. I got the Kouign Amann, which was highly recommended when I asked what to order at the counter. It was so buttery and soft and crunchy and the best pastry I’ve ever had. I also got the meyer lemon tart, and the toasted meringue on top with the tart curd on the inside was perfection. Not sure if there wasn’t enough butter to caramelize it, but this detracted from the experienceThe passion fruit was by far the best one of the bunch for me. There’s a lot of care that went into that filling, and it’s just deliciousThe caneles has that all too fun dichotomous texture of crunchy and soft. Lightly sweetened, these are best eaten in BULK. Dont often leave reviews but had to for this place. Probably my two favorite pastries are kouign-amann (kind of a lightly sweet croissant) and canele (a bittersweet little custard thing); I always try them if I have a chance. For both of these, Les Madeleines produced--and I dont say this lightly--the best Ive ever had. The kouign-amann were absolutely perfect, hit this incredibly impressive balance on the bake and flavor--crispy/flaky/chewy/soft, butter/sugar/yeasty. Canele were equally perfect, nicely burnt/caramelized exterior and delicate vanilla interior--flawless version of the form, with a really lovely floral/citric aroma that made it stand out over many others Ive had. Didnt try anything else--I was just passing through Salt Lake--but would assume similar excellence across their menu, and will be singing their praises.

Ok so someone brought me a kouign-amann from this place in its cute little box. I was having a really bad day, missed my flight home and was just generally in a mood. I had this in my bag, pulled it out and ate it at the airport. It completely changed my mood, and I marveled at how something could be so good. I no longer cared that I had to take a later flight. Ill definitely stop by for more. I cant wait.

This place is such a little gem. Ive been in a handful of times over the years, but this was the first visit for a full breakfast. They have a handful of options, I got their MadMuffin sandwich that has wild boar bacon, scrambled eggs, avocado, and micro chives on an English muffin. It was delightful! The muffin was light and airy, bacon super favorful, eggs perfectly cooked, and chives a unique fresh touch. My breakfast buddy had the (rabbit and rattlesnake) sausage and eggs. Such a cool menu option! The sausage was divine, moist, beautifully seasoned with thyme or tarragon notes, and a pleasant texture. They didnt have a sausage casing, so I was impressive that they didnt dry out.We would definitely go back! Also, no review of this place would be complete without saying GO GET THE KOUIGN AMANN!! Flaky, gooey, and crunchy with caramel and sea salt. If you have a sweet tooth, this little delight to die for.
