Amanda is a great stylist! She really listens to what you want and communicates well about the process. I had a mishap with my hair before her and she did a wonderful job at getting my hair back on track.The salon is truly customer service oriented! Very welcoming and friendly environment. I would recommend them 10/10

... I came in with virgin hair and I showed the hair technician (Stephanie) three pictures or four. I felt as if the pictures would do there job to demonstrate the type of look and style I was looking for. I ended up disliking my hair and trying to work with it for two weeks. I came to the realization, if I payed $400+ dollars for colored hair treatment I should absolutely love it, but I was screaming in my head i hated it.I then decided to reach out to my hair technician. I told her that I could work with the right side. She agreed to see me.So—i showed up for our second appointment which was a color repair. I was hoping my hair technician would of looked at my hair and seen that her work was very poorly done, hoping not to say much and she would just fix her mistakes. She wanted to do the bare minimum for free and then she proceeded with telling me she needed to charge more money for what I asked in the first place to be done.My hair technician started to argue with me and let me know that her time was more important and not once did she considered my time. (I’m a business owner, so my time is valuable as well,TY!)—then we agreed on replacing my dark natural color to take out the rooster orange color that was supposed to be a —light peachy color —in the first place. The technician placed 4 foils then asked me if I wanted more warm color around my face (Who asks a client if they want warm around their face.—- What color is warm?) I didn’t understand what she was saying so she became very condescending, —seeing I’m not a salon-tech or cosmetologist and I don’t know their terminology words.I then understood—! as I sat there and she wanted to argue that this lady had comprehension issues. Clearly—! she never even understood how I wanted my hair in the first place and at that point I just wanted my hair rinsed off knowing that I would never return to another lunatic fringe. (This was a very expensive lesson 😔)My anxiety was through the roof and not once did I argue back or raise my voice at this lady. Honestly, I feel like this lady’s title needs to be re-evaluated.I wish I could show pictures..! SMH.

This is the best salon I’ve ever been to! I got my hair lightened and cut with Rikki-Lee. They had margaritas and a DJ during my appointment which was fun! I have a TON of hair and Rikki-Lee and her assistant(s) were all so patient and kind. Every other time I’ve gotten my hair lightened it’s been impossible to brush, dry, and damaged. They left my hair better than I’ve ever felt it before. As a naturally dark brunette, I thought having blonde hair that is healthy and manageable was just impossible. Not when Rikki-Lee gets ahold of your hair!

I had my hair highlighted by Kylie Twomey, and she did an amazing job. My hair is really long and thick, and she took the time to make sure everything was perfect. You can really tell that the hairstylists here are very passionate about their art. Kylie made sure to explain the scientific reasoning behind things so I could fully understand the entire process. She made me feel totally pampered, and I will definitely be returning.

Im sad to share this bad review. When I dont have a personal referral I depend on reviews, so I feel others need to know my experience as I would have like to have been warned myself. I called ahead for pricing and was told a full foil would be $115 unless I needed a second bowl of color. Once there and in the chair my stylist informed me there would be a toner charge of $25 and if an additional bowl of color was needed that would be another $25. My hair is very short and she said after looking at my hair I would likely not need a 2nd bowl. Everything was fine until I went to pay. They rang me up for $185: my stylist had charged me $45 for toner and $25 for another bowl. I was in shock because she DID NOT use another bowl and she had told me $25 for toner (which to begin with is ODD as in my 20 years of getting blonde hair I have never been charged separately for toner!) The stylist came up to the register and explained that when she got the color brush and dabbed it for 5 seconds on some fly away baby hairs on my left temple, THAT was the second bowl charge. In summary, this salon IS NOT for people like me who carefully budget their money and like to be prepared before going into a salon and knowing what I will spend. This type of up-charging lacks integrity. I was extremely disappointed.

I had a great experience!! I was in a wedding and Mary Petty helped me with my hair. I went in in a rush and unfortunately had to ask Mary to skip the scalp massage. Since she knew I was in a rush she got an assistant to help blow dry my hair. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted and trusted her to do whatever she wanted. I came out with trendy waves that she made sure flattered my face shape. She also gave me a lot of great suggestions to heal and style my hair. Dont let the title Jr. stylist on their website scare you, she was very knowledgeable and absolutely knew what she was doing. Very personable and got me out the door 30 minutes earlier than my appointment window indicated. Wish I lived in town so I could go again!

Sarah S. gave me an awesome haircut! She spent time asking questions to make sure she knew just what I wanted. She was meticulous with the cut, and gave me a great blowout! In addition, the spa-like massage was amazing!

I don’t even know where to begin. I am not one to right reviews, nor one to even care about my hair. This is the absolute best salon I have ever been to. Mary was my stylist today and she is so cute and extremely talented. The prices are insanely reasonable, and so worth every penny. I got a hair treatment because my hair was so dry and damaged and my hair has never felt so soft in my life. I highly highly recommend this place. It is so sheek and cute inside the salon, and very very clean. All the staff are super nice there too! Please go and try it out :)

They trimmed about an inch off my hair. I asked for some layers too but they didn’t really give me any, also asked for some curtain bangs and they just kinda cut a long strip of hair that goes down to my jaw haha. My hair looks exactly the same as it did before I came in. I also got charged $95 which would be okay if I got what I asked for :( I showed them photos too but they just didn’t really seem to care. The atmosphere just wasn’t for me either. Don’t know if I just came on a bad day but it kinda just felt like they didn’t want me to be there. I’d ask for a refund but I don’t think they’d give me one, and I really don’t want to go back because I just hated the way I felt there. I guess there’s a place for everyone but yeah I’m really sad I paid $95 + tip ($114 total) for my hair to look the same as it did before :(

Trying to get hair extensions and drove there twice only to be told my stylist called in sick and then that my hair hadnt been delivered. I paid a $270 deposit for the appointment, which I asked to be returned and still havent received. No offer for discount, nothing. Ive always been a fan of LF, been going there for over 10 years. Not anymore.

This is a great salon!! Amanda is VERY talented and gave my hair exactly what I wanted. The head massage was great too! The salon is gorgeous and feels so upscale. The only down sides are parking is very hard to find! You cannot park in the bank parking and every parking spot near there is a University of Utah housing parking lot, so parking was stressful for me! Also, along with the fancy salon, is a fancy price, $300! But I enjoyed how my hair turned out so it is worth it to me, but I know that is out of the price range for a lot of people.

Lara is amazing at doing my color every single time and always makes sure my blonde comes out perfect and extremely healthy every time. I’ve been getting my hair done by her for the past two years and she is insanely talented. She has always given me the best experience with my hair whether it’s bleaching, hair extensions, or highlights. I’ve never gone to anyone else that does blonde and gets my hair as white and even as well as she does. Also, Kiersta is awesome at lash extensions and always gives me exactly what I want every time! I love this salon, I’m always so happy every time I leave. It’s a very nice and modern salon and everyone there is super friendly.

Expensive and totally unprofessional. Canceled my appointment twice in a row without notice. First time, they said they called...OK maybe I missed it. Still, I waited 15 minutes before being told my stylist had an emergency. OK that happens. Rescheduled 2 days later. I arrive. Canceled again. We tried to call you yesterday, the stylist had an unexpected issue this morning. Oh really ? apparently these guys are psychics since they knew the day before about the unexpected issue....total BS. No apologies, no offer to discount or even to reschedule. Anything that is a minimum business courtesy. Taking my business to a small salon, more respectful of their customers.

I spent a lovely few hours getting a cut and dimensional color at Lunatic Fringe yesterday. Mary was a fantastic stylist to work with - very upfront about the process, what results to expect, cost, and more, and then throughout the day was absolutely the sweetest! Fun to chat with, very professional, and did a truly beautiful job on both the cut and color for my ultra long hair.She specializes in blondes and dimensional color in general and did a beautiful job lifting my darker blonde/red to a very dimensional, natural-looking lighter color that I am just obsessed with. She walked me through caring for hair post-processing, mentioning specific products but not being at all pushy.The salon itself was a beautiful, open space, impeccably clean, great music, positive atmosphere from all the folks working there, and followed covid precautions that made me feel very safe and comfortable including still requiring masks, sanitizing stations and surfaces regularly, and maintaining space between clients.Overall, I highly recommend Lunatic Fringe - they are worth the hype and the price! And in particular, I would highly recommend seeing Mary for any ultra long hair needs and for blondes that are absolutely to die for. She is newer to the salon and if my experience is any indication, her client list is going to fill up quickly!Thanks for the great experience, Mary, and everyone at Lunatic! It felt great to treat myself again after so long without a cut. Can’t wait to stop by again soon!

Mary was so helpful and took the time to discuss what I really wanted my hair to look like with me so that I ended up with what I wanted. She was great and I would 12/10 recommend her for blondes or reds. SO PRETTY. Also emily at the front desk is wonderful and helped me with every question I had!

Mario is absolutely amazing!!!! I wanted the nearly impossible task of Ice Queen hair. My hair was already blonde for the most part, but I was just hoping to start the process of going white, because I know it is just that.. A PROCESS. Mario exceeded all my expectations, and my hair is gorgeous. I got my hair done on Saturday and within hours of it being done, I have never had so many compliments on my hair, including by TV personality I met that night. That should tell you all you need to know. The cost may be higher than other places but I have no problem paying it for the quality of work done by this salon. AMAZING!

When I had called and told them what I wanted they quoted me that it would $230 (which was the haircut and color). So at first glance I was super excited I don’t get my haircut often nor do I pamper myself as much as I would like plus it was my birthday. So when I arrived it seemed to be everything I was hoping for. The lady (Stephanie) who did my hair was super nice and very welcoming. The only problem I had is when the bill arrived at a whole $360 not including the tip. I was in shock and kind of disappointed that I wasn’t quoted what I was told. I love the experience and the people. I just won’t be going back due to the inconsistency of the pricing. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed when presented the bill after I saw that price. I cried on the way home. A beautiful experience turned into one I never wish to repeat. I am sorry that I have to leave this review, wish it was a better one.I did receive a call back explaining the price and was told “due to it not being her fault for the price, to update the review.” I am updating this review due to not being a satisfied customer.

I get a Brazilian Blowout every year. I have A LOT of curly hair and the strands are thicker. For many years I have tried to find hairstylists who can manage my type of hair and make it look how I want. For the last 8 years I have gone to LF and every time, the hairstylist is spot on. I have moved to Columbus, OH now and by happen stance work brought me back last week. 1st off LF accommodated me for a Brazilian Blowout without hesitation, then They saw me early when I arrived. Brittany was awesome and very sweet. We had great conversation, but most importantly she made my hair look exactly like I wanted. So the proof is really when you have to do your hair yourself. I am happy to report that my hair still feels just as soft and is doing what it is supposed to do (which is to lay flat with ZERO frizz or curl) Thank you Brittany. I cannot wait for work to take me back, see you all next year!

Just moved to Salt Lake a few months ago and finally went in for a haircut. This place was great! The entire staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to provide an excellent guest experience. Danielle is a wonderful stylist! Glad I upgraded to a deep conditioner - my hair is so soft! I’ll be back soon.

Honestly the worst hair experience I have had in a long time, and I normally get my hair done at great clips. Paulina was my stylist. Based off the reviews I thought I would be in good hands. Since it was a new place and all. Just not in the hands of Paulina I guess. I saw her back in october and am still dealing with the consequences.

Ill start by saying that my hair looked GREAT my stylist did a great job and the atmosphere and vibe of this salon is awesome. And I hate to have to leave a poor review. HOWEVER when I was charged (for a service I have been doing consistently for 2+ years) the total was nearly double what I was quoted prior to the service and outrageously more than what I usually pay (my stylist was out of town) I paid and asked for a manager to reach out to me to describe the additional charges which were OUTRAGEOUS for what I had done. I called daily and did not receive a call back for a week. When I did the experience was horrifying, I have never received such horrible customer service especially from a manager. I would never recommend or return to this salon.

So for literally the last decade my mom has been in search of a stylist that could re-treat and rejuvenate her hair back to its former self. I took my mother here for her birthday and gave her the works. It has been about a week since her treatment,cut, and color and to this day she loves her hair again. Amparo (stylist) has amazing talents and skills. She truly took my mother under her wing and listened to all she wanted done and was hoping for. The best part was that she truly worked and consulted my mother on the style she wished to go back to. Now every time my mom decides to come into town for a visit she is definitely going back to Amparo and Lunatic Fringe. Thank you again to everyone who assisted us and took amazing care of my mom. Staff here are fantastic. This spot is lovely, high end feeling but affordable. Reception staff were so welcoming and helpful. I got my hair cut by Rikki-Lee and she did a fantastic job. I asked for a trim for an upcoming interview. Rikki-Lee managed to keep my personal style while substantially upping the polish. So happy with how it came out. She was a delight to talk to as well, professional and friendly. She definitely knows her stuff!

The atmosphere of this salon is great. The people are super welcoming and make sure they offer you drinks, snacks, or anything else you need. My hairstylist (Rikki-Lee) was awesome. She thoroughly explained what products she used in my hair and what they do to achieve the volume and moisture I was looking for. She even showed me how to style my hair with a flat iron which was very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the amount of time I was there for. I was there for about 2 hours and the haircut only took about 20 minutes. There was an appointment before me that took longer than expected so it was somewhat understandable.I went there just for a haircut and to be honest it is nothing great. I asked for my bangs to be trimmed around my face and I think it was just forgotten. I may have to go back and get that fixed ASAP.Overall, I would go back again. This place offers a lot of great services and it is a very friendly atmosphere.

I’ve been to Lunatic a handful of times. Each stylist has always been friendly. I’ve seen Stephanie R. and she was absolutely sweet and careful with color. My ombre was truly beautiful! I’ve been with Paulina to do a toner removal and deep treatment. She was also a treat to be around and gave me a wonderful blow dry. She styled my hair wonderfully and her scalp massage was awesome. I could have had her just go in and charge me to go fully dark, but she told me to carefully consider how I wanted my hair to be exactly. I’m grateful for her consideration.I recently went to Kate Drinkwater and she was freaking fabulous. Her assistant was also great and infact gave the best scalp massage! Back to Kate:Kate listened to all of concerns and together we navigated to the best path to color correction: wiping out gray/green toner and brass. Kate understands how to confidently take on a challenge without jeopardizing the hair. Kate explained scientifically what happened with my hair and what we needed to do, each step of the way. She never pushed product on me, but did educate me on how to leverage a deep conditioner that I did mot have into my routine so that my hair can be healthy enough to add color to my hair without continuously dumping money into something that wouldn’t be a guarantee with how damaged my hair was. Her blow dry was EXACTLY how I wanted without me even saying anything. We both enjoy a classy blow out with a round brush. I feel like of all the hair experts I’ve met, she can speak so intelligently and clearly about how hair color works. I don’t think I can go to anyone else but her now, and even if I couldn’t, I would at least have a wonderful selection of people to choose from.Now let’s talk about the staff. Taylor is the most pleasant receptionist I’ve ever talked to. I’ve been to places all over in different states, bar none, I simply just even want to call to talk to her if I could!Finally, here are my thoughts on the environment: impeccable cleanliness goes on here. Even before Covid-19, Lunatic has been so polished and clean. Parking can be a challenge, so plan to arrive a little early. They have an assortment of snacks, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Lunatic also has a shampoo/wash room that plays soft spa music. I’ve fallen asleep every time I’ve been in there!They use high end products and that should help a bit to justify the price if you aren’t hyped on the service costs. You honestly will get what you pay for. Luxury is what this place serves. If you have had trust issues with other salons in the past, I can assure you that if you went to Kate or anyone at Lunatic, you will be at ease. I know I am grateful for them and their willingness to deliver exceptional customer service and extremely talented hair artists.

This place was recommended to me by multiple people, so I finally gave it a try. I had Vanessa, who gave me an amazing head massage and made my hair feel soft and silky for days. However, I hated the hair cut I got. I asked for simple long layers, but got what looks like two separate hair cuts. She kept the length of my hair, which was great, but it looks kind of like poorly done extensions when paired with the choppy medium length layers I got. Dont get me wrong, the customer service there is excellent and Im sure the stylists are as amazing as people hype them up to be (judging from her Instagram, Vanessa is really really good at color work), just maybe get someone else to cut your hair.

This was my first experience and it was so amazing. The atmosphere is friendly, laid back, but also professional. I felt so pampered by the staff. The scalp massage was a pleasant surprise.Mario was my stylist and I freaking adore him! I am absolutely thrilled with the way he cut my hair. I had a vague description of what I wanted because I get anxious about choosing a cut that will fit my face. He took what little information I gave and created a flattering cut that fit my face shape perfectly. I feel so confident, sexy, and relieved. I also want to mention that sometimes get social anxiety, but Mario made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.I cant wait to go back!

I’m a high maintenance dude and haven’t found a better or more enjoyable haircut in the city. I started at their old location and couldn’t think of finding a new stylist or salon even when they moved further from my house. The new location’s atmosphere is chic and more spacious. My girl Stephanie Ramirez is the best and her superb work always lands me tons of compliments. The service from the rest of the staff has always been exceptional too, special S/O to Devan. I always leave feeling pampered and posh, and I can’t recommend highly enough.

I was very specific in what I wanted with my blonde with Amanda. She charged almost 300 dollars and my hair is EXTREMELY damaged, it is purple on the ends, Orange in the middle, pltatinum at the roots, and there are brown spots everywhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Harold is the most incredible stylist! I drive a few hours every 2-3 weeks and he is absolutely worth it! He is not only an incredible stylist he is incredibly professional! He has me ready to look fabulous whether I am on the “Yellowstone” or “Hallmark” movie sets, going to a premiere or just out on the town with my fiancé! He is an absolute “must”!

This is a beautiful salon that invests in quality products and maintains a high standard of service--I always look forward to my appointments, especially the neck massage :) For stylists, I would recommend Emiley to anyone. Shes a master of her craft, shes fast, and my hair always feels so great when I leave. Her ability to do color is unmatched (Ive been to a lot of stylists and can say with confidence that shes the best), and she always has new ideas and techniques to try out. I dont know how its already been 13 years since I started going to Emiley, but youll never want anyone else to do your hair!

DO NOT book with Paulina. She says she specializes in blonding and color corrections but she specializes in CREATING color corrections.I went in for a root touch-up on my previously lightened hair. I had about an inch of regrowth of naturally dark brown hair. She brought my previously lifted hair to platinum and left a 1 inch band of YELLOW-GOLD on my roots. I went back in to have it fixed and told me she couldn’t lift my hair more and COVERED and shadowed the gold band with a brown color and sent me home. She created a color correction and I had to pay $500 for someone else to fix it.She also applied bleach only my scalp/roots and put me under hot air and it BURNED my scalp. I couldn’t sleep at night because it hurt so bad.Unless you want her to completely ruin your hair and drain your wallet... Do. Not Book. Her.

5+ Stars to Kate for being an amazing stylist.But 3 stars to the unexplained changes in pricing. When you go to the website to book in, it’ll tell you $195 for color and cut. Then when you book it through the app it sends you through, it’ll have you commit with your credit card to suddenly $220 without explanation as to the change from the first step of booking to the final step of booking. Then at the desk, it’ll be $260 without any explanation as to why it is now different yet again, prior to tipping. While the pricing isn’t exactly unfair for the service, the representation of pricing and lack of communication on it makes me not so happy.

They really take the time to give you a true salon experience. I always feel pampered here. My hair always comes out great!

Id just like to say that the staff are very nice and friendly here, but my experience here wasnt the best.I had a cut and color booked for 1:30pm, I didnt end up leaving until 6:55pm! The salon closed at 6:00pm (It was a Saturday). I went in with pictures and the stylist said she could achieve that look, I would have liked to know at some point, at least when she knew, that I wasnt going to get the look I wanted. I would have like to be given options as to what I could do from that point and what I could achieve that day. Not only that but, she had another appointment in the middle of mine, so was bouncing around the 2 of us! She ended up having tone my hair twice, I dont see why it couldnt of been toned correctly the first time. Online the cost estimate was $155, that seemed reasonable for a cut and color, well my final price was $195. I didnt get a cut or my hair styled. It was 7 remember? I dont know why it ended up costing so much, and if its because the wrong toner was originally put on I dont think I should have to pay for that. $195 for a dimensional color with no cut and no style is a little ridiculous in my opinion, especially since I was told I could achieve the look I wanted. I would have accepted the $195 if I had at least gotten the look I wanted. Instead Im out $195 without the hair I want with no cut and no style! I think I really bit the bullet with my experience here. Would not recommend.

My daughter came for balayage and hair cut. When I came to pick her up, the color was very brassy with straight chunks of color at the roots- not blended- and it looked awful. They were telling her she could come back and pay for another service to correct it. Ultimately, they did adjust the color and 8 hours later, it ended up looking better. I am grateful the staff teamed up and helped fix the mess, but am also appalled that there was no apology or any kind of effort to reconcile the fact that it took 8 hours to do a 2-3 hour job. I have a hard time grasping that this is the new service industry standard.

I am so disappointed with my entire experience at this salon. I have been trying to go lighter with my hair since August and I decided to give this salon and stylist a try. During the consult I told the stylist I wanted to keep my dark roots but continue to going lighter throughout. The stylist somehow misunderstood what I wanted and bleached my entire head. He used his own knowledge to make his own decision on my hair. I left with bright orange/yellow hair. Not to mention I had to pay for the service before my appointment was even finished. I went back two weeks later to have my hair recolored and I tried to explain that I didn’t feel I should have to pay for the color correction since it was not what I asked for, but looks like at this salon the customer is always wrong. I really wish I would have just walked out right at that moment. I had to pay double the price and now my hair is damaged and I had to buy products from elsewhere because I wasn’t about to give this place anymore of my money. I would never recommend this place as they definitely did not take care of the customer. And the way I was talked to on the phone by the manager is so unprofessional. Very very disappointed.

I highly recommend Rikki-Lee! She was so nice and knowledgeable and really took the time to understand what I wanted. She walked me through the process making me feel confident that Id get the final result I desired. She wasnt pushy about products and worked so concisely, my appointment ended on time!! She is very talented and great company, if you need your hair done, go to Rikki-Lee!

Danielle is phenomenal! What a lovely and talented stylist. She does an excellent job of listening to my concerns and questions, and also using her expertise to translate our discussion into a cut and color that is perfect for me. Whether its just trimming the ends or more of a change in hairstyle, she is wonderful. She also gives honest and helpful advice regarding products and styling tools. Everyone in the salon is friendly, fun and completely professional. Its always a fun environment! I would recommend her, and this salon, to anyone with discerning taste in hairstyles and hair products.

Pros/Cons listed here. Pros: I really like my haircut a lot!! My stylist did an excellent job. Cons: It cost me $90 for a cut and style. No color. Nothing weird. To me, that is more than it should cost. Also, I felt pushed to buy the salon products and that just rubbed me the wrong way. Due to the price, I will likely look for a more affordable salon, sadly.

Rikki-Lee just colored my hair and I am in love! My hair feels healthier than it ever has, and her knowledge of products and ideas for my hair make me excited to grow my hair out knowing that it’s going to be healthy. I know that I am in good hands with her, and cannot recommend her enough!

My wife goes here and absolutely loves it. She comes home feeling beautiful, pampered, and happy, so I have nothing but good things to say.After trying to have her hair colored at a different local salon, she was left with patchy coloring that just didn’t flow right. Mario listened to what she wanted and then gave a very educated, detailed explanation of how he needed to proceed to correct the coloring & provide the desired result. He was very clear that it would take multiple visits to do it properly without destroying her hair.And he delivered. Her hair looks perfect - just the way she initially requested/explained. (He also explained that she could come back between visits for free if her toner fades too quickly.)Not only does Mario treat her like a damn queen when she arrives, but so does everybody else - from the stylists to the people at the front desk. The whole place is an experience for her — champagne, treat basket, cookies, etc etc. My wife comes home every single time raving about how wonderful everybody is, and she’s now referred multiple friends to see Mario as well.

My first time in this salon and I had an amazing experience. The costumer service provided by Paulina was 10 out of 10! Very happy with my hair, I will definitely be coming back.

I was really excited that a Lunatic Salon opened up down the street from my house; I had a really positive and amazing experience at their Parleys location before.My first time in was really great. A lot of attention to detail and very friendly staff. My second time not so much. The stylist seemed distracted and in a rush. It seems that he had double booked the time slot and was constantly moving back and forth between me and his other client. He spent a total of at most 15 min actually working on my hair, although I was charged for a full service hair cut.The hair cut turned out so-so and the styling at the end of the hair cut was a total rush job: my hair was still dripping when I walked out.As a business owner I know I would really appreciate my clients giving me constructive feedback when they are not happy with my work and I hope the owners will take this critique in the positive note that it is intended.I will try getting my hair cut there again with a different stylist but if the service is the same then I will have to find a different salon, which would be a real shame. :-(

I dont trust people with my hair because Ive had bad experiences with people working on my natural/ethnic hair while living out here. So I was a little skeptic at first, but after Darlene gave me my first blow out I was hooked!! She is amazing!! She most definitely knows what shes doing. From deep conditioning to moisturizing, she handles it all! Ive recently gotten braids from her as well and I have no complaints! Darlene is without a doubt my favorite hairstylist in Utah!I absolutely love this salon!! The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing and they always make sure they accommodate your every need.

I would highly recommend him!My Mom was with Chelsea and also had a wonderful experience. Her short hair cut is so cute & the color is perfect! I love the new location! Super easy to get to, with lots of parking. The salon is very spacious and modern. Dannie is my favorite stylist! She pays close attention to detail and is always one step ahead of her process. I’ll definitely continue going to this salon!

First time meeting Jessica for a cut, what vibrant appearance she carried as we met. Great coinciding outlooks we seemed to share with abundance of optometrist outlooks. Her compassion also speaks in volumes as my stylish and distinctive hair cut appeared while chatting about how good life really is. If you need a haircut this is the place to go. Everything about Lunatic Fringe is awesome. From all the stylists to the amenities, you can’t go wrong. After my first visit I knew I didn’t want to go back to any sort of quick-cut chain. I get the style I like from the same person every time. The price can be steep, but you won’t regret it. If you’re on the fence, take the leap.

I had my second awesome experience with Eddie at this Lunatic Fringe location. To be super cheesy I went from Drab to Fab. He took my light brown hair to this stunning Marilyn Monroe blonde. The whole experience was hilarious and fun. My confidence is dangerously through the roof. Best of all we did not skimp on the products so my hair is softer than it was when I went in there. Get all the stuff that keeps it soft it makes a world of difference. I speak from *cough* personal experience bleaching my hair on my own. Thank you, Eddie!! See you soon for a touch up!

My first visit was so pampering that I realized what I had been missing out on at other salons for years. Many visits later Im still feeling pampered in every way from the kind greetings, food/drinks, head massage, to the amazing hair when I leave. Everyone there is so amazing & talented, you cant go wrong. Stephanie E. is my fabulous stylist & friend, not only does she color/cut my hair she helps me learn how to do it & different styles if needed. Shes also amazing at eyebrows, need I say more... ?

I had my hair cut by Mario and he really made it lovely. He is such as kind and caring person and will take care of you if you come and see him. Lunatic Fringe was also very accommodating to someone like me who is self conscious about my hair.Great place to get your hair done.

I finally found someone who realized my brunette to blonde dream. I would suggest Paulina if you are dark going light. She did exactly what I asked, educated me on products (but didn’t badger me), and was pleasant and professional.

I had the best experience here with Abbey. I did a big cut and I was really nervous about it, but Abbey listened to exactly what I wanted and did it perfect. She’s very knowledgable and aware of what style you’re going for. Also getting your hair washed there feels like a spa treatment! Found my new salon.

Kate is an amazing stylist...I had suffered sad, chunky-layered cuts for years until I found her. She gives a very sophisticated, natural, beautiful haircut. I dont get my hair colored, but Ive seen her gallery, and she is a phenomenal colorist, too! And she has a very sensible approach to products...she typically recommends a couple of key products without being pushy at all.Ask for Kate...you wont regret it!

I recently moved to salt lake and am on the hunt for a new stylist and a salon. There was a lunatic fringe in my hometown and I heard great things so I felt compelled to try out this salon. I usually like to do a cut and color but wanted to try out the salon before committing to a color appointment. My haircut turned out great and overall the salon has a very luxurious feel to it. However, my stylist was very pushy on selling me on products rather than getting to know me and gaining my trust. I felt like the receptionist took the time to know me better, and was in the middle of doing so when the stylist would send her cues to hush so she could try and sell me on products. I felt bad for the receptionist and wish the stylist appreciated the fact that the receptionist (Devhan?) was actually building more trust with me than the stylist did. I’d buy from the receptionist over my stylist. My stylist almost felt like a pushy sales woman. Usually, I will buy products that my stylist recommends but only after I’ve had a chance to bond with them and build trust. I will try out the salon again, but with a different stylist. Ideally, I would like to find a stylist that I connect with better and where I feel like more than just a sale.
