I cannot say enough amazing things about Barrel & Keg! Went in for Mimosa flights and Charcuterie Boards today, and how delicious they were! Got a growler and some beer from their awesome selection. They also have wine as well, and their own house made wine. Shannon and her husband, the owners are super friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be back!

Great place. We have had work meetings, date nights, or just for whatever. Their ambiance is unique, the staff and owner is super friendly. Go here if you want to just enjoy some draft or wine, or if you want to buy some to bring home. I also felt like the prices were very good too.

Barrel and Keg is going strong even through the pandemic! Bottle/Can sales are still available for beer and wine(the mix&match 6-pack is a good way to enjoy a selection or sample some new options). They are still churning and burning through draft product, so bring a growler or two on by for some awesome deals on draft as well. Currently no inside drinking or food offered for obvious reasons, but I look forward to more trips before the end of the pandemic and many more after we are all through it

My husband and I love this place. It has an outstanding variety and selection in beer and wine. There are food carts in back with a menu inside that you can order from. Also, and quite possibly my favorite thing about this place is that they are dog friendly!

My wife and I have been there several times and have always had a very nice experience. However, today I decided to walk down and have my growler filled and I got there before the opened and was greeted at the door by a crazy dog. I have seen the dog behind the bar before and never thought twice about it, but this time was different. The dog was super aggressive and trying to get through the door snarling and clawing at the door. Not really sure what the deal was but also like kinda glad I didn’t just walk in. Maybe something to be aware of.

Host your party here! My wife and I hosted a small wedding reception of 30 people here in January 2018 and had a stress free blast. Service was fantastic, just the best . A beer and wine to please every guest and enough alcohol free selection to keep the DDs happy. And to this day (2 years later) we still hear about how good the burgers from their food cart were.

By far the best wine bar in town. Jordan is always attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. They also have a great on-tap beer selection as well as a variety of bottled beer and wines to take home. Good food and great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!

Best place to find wine in salem

Fun place to go for Euchre Meetup. The drink selection is massive! Its a smaller space, so it can get crowded quickly. Also, they served food only from food trucks before. They have a dedicated chef now, but the menu is still food truck restricted. I would recommend this place for drinks only.

Food is better than when the various carts were out back. Bayou burger and pickle chips were excellent. More IPAs than stouts, but overall a good selection.

Always a wide variety of beer and wine on tap. Their food has continued to improve, the meat they use for their burgers comes from a private local farm (I think the farm is related to the taphouse) and the beef just melts in your mouth. Fish tacos are also good and if your dog is cool with others its also canine friendly.

Selection is fair, not great, not bad. For a small shop, I was pleased, but not blown away. Prices range from average to a little pricey. My guess is they cant order in bulk and small orders cost more.Not highly decorated, but not a dive. Simple and tasteful. Clean, well lit, didnt find dust on any bottles or tables, no garbage laying around.Beer and wine bottle and tap selection was better than I expected. Im not impressed with 10 taps, but I worry when I see 50. Some will be in slow rotation and lose quality. They have a good variety ranging from lagers to ambers to stouts and sours. I would have liked to see more German and Belgian beers.They have a food menu which I glanced at. I wasnt hungry but saw a few things that sounded good. Prices are average $9 to $12.Bartenders were plenty friendly. Chatted up a storm with customers, helped new arrivals, no attitudes, happy to talk about anything.They gave me samples of everything I asked for. Ive had some bars complain about a giving a few. Why?? You arent losing money, but you just lost a customer by being stingy.I rarely give 5 stars because I have to be seriously blown away. Im not a typical reviewer who rates everything 5 stars just because they have alcohol. This place is 3 to 4 stars. I wouldnt go out of my way to come here, but I liked it.Recommended if you are in the area and want a fair, not great, beer and wine selection in bottles, cans, and on draft.

Love this place for several reasons. The staff and many local regulars all seem to just compliment each other. The knowledge of wine and beer recipacated back and forth between many patrons and staff about the wine and beer industry is amazing. I truly learn something new each visit.

Im not a wine person, but the selection here is vast, and they seem to showcase local Oregon wineries. The beer is what Im into, and they have dramatically improved their draft selection since opening. Prices are reasonable & they do happy hour ($1 off beers) from 4-6 daily. Extensive selection of bottles to go. Most of the beer is kept warm, as there is only one two-door beer cooler. Oh, and they usually have a food truck parked out back. A nice place to stop & have a drink on north Salem.

I give a lot of leeway to places just starting up because I know its harder than it looks to get every thing right. That being said, service here was nonexistent for my first visit. My husband and I sat at the counter bar for 20 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by the 3 people who walked right by us several times. (The dog, however, stopped by for a pet.) :)We had all the time to decide on which food truck to text (very cool feature), having got that menu from our neighbors, but we both wanted to taste some beers. All that needed to be done was to place a taster tray within our reach so we could pick out tasters, and there wasnt a lot going on. I didnt feel comfortable reaching behind the bar to grab a tray, but I considered it because I really wanted to try some of the beer! Our neighbors at the bar also had empty glasses, as did others at the tables, so it just seemed like there was a general lack of attention overall. The only interaction was before we sat down, when I was invited to go shopping and told the discounts for the bottle shop in lengthy detail. Nice, sure, but I wasnt there for a retail experience. I would recommend the taster trays be kept on the bar within reach to save such harried servers a step, and let customers begin their taster selection, but if 2 people are that difficult to see Im betting the tray would be invisible too. We went out to the trucks, got food to go and went home to drink the beer in our fridge. We were home eating in the time it took us to sit there and wait. The food trucks were fantastic!

Not as many non-alcoholic options which makes it a bit more difficult for workday lunch, but what they do have is great.

This place has evolved so much since it first opened. For a while, it was busy as Salems first food truck pod. It could be hectic with 4 companies looking for Alex? Order for Alex? The foid truck calendar schedule also had multiple versions depending on the vendors, their web presence, and facebook. As vendors struck out on their own, Barrel & Keg have since added their own menus with a dedicated menu.

Best wine list in Salem and my dog can hang out too. Love the cheese plate and cant get enough of that Underwood Sparkling Wine in a can. Also, beers! And ciders! And food trucks.
