If I could give 0 stars, I would. They don’t answer their phones, they don’t respond back to me via email. They took my $2000 + $99 delivery fee July 2020 for a leg press which they never delivered. They’ve been giving me the run around all year about “short staff” I understand and have been patiently waiting for more than a year but now they won’t respond to me anymore. I just want my money back. What legitimate business does this? And to have a no refund policy. What a scam.

I ordered a few hundred dollars worth of equipment during the pandemic in 7/2020. I understand that the demand for gym equipment was at a all time high during that time and I understood the amount of time it took to get my equipment. But this was ridiculous. My order was suppose to be ready in October and I only got half of it. I had to make multiple trips to Sacramento to see if they had the rest of my stuff. The staff there are completely incompetent at doing their job. They couldn’t even return a simple phone call or email back the hundreds of emails I sent requesting a status for the rest of my order. I just got the last piece of equipment delivered to me after almost a whole year. And that’s thanks to a new manager that showed up recently. I will not be ordering anything from this place again.

This place is huge. They guarantee the cheapest prices on fitness equipment. Dumb bells, bumper plates, Olympic weights and sandbags all here. Big selection of gym quality treadmills a and weight racks as well. The folks running it were super helpful and extremely courteous.

The items were in stock but you have to call to find out. He told me the info and I was able to pick them up a day after ordering.

Sacramento location. New regime is way better. Staff is personable and respectful. Fixed our issue and got us what we ordered

My experience started very badly with the Sacto store, and it ended some 4 months later with great help from Emmanuel (SoCal Warehouse) and Austin in the Sacramento store. I wont go into the very frustrating series of excuses that I received from various store staff during the next few months after my order. I will just say that the staff prior to Austins arrival was god- awful. I cant ever remember being so frustrated by ineptitude and lack of concern. I was fully prepared to never set foot in that store again, and never recommend that anyone else do either. Fortuntely, the manager (Jessie, I think) fired his staff and hired Austin...thank god! Now I feel like I can go into the store and get capable help, and straight talk. Congrats to Jessie for hiring a person that is capable and that cares to help customers. And special thanks to Austin for helping me with my order. Jessie...more staff like Austin. Please!

Great selection and pricing on bumper plates.

This rating is for in stock pick up on the same day as ordered. I decided to start a home gym in my garage. I live about 6 minutes away from Fitness Armory, so I decided to give them a try. A couple of weeks ago bought 4 rubber mat flooring. They are really good quality , and do the job intended for at a good price. Today I purchased a 245# set of urethane plates. They seem to be good quality and definitely a good price for a urethane set. On both of these orders, I made sure to contact them to ensure the items I wanted were in stock at the Sacramento location and I picked them up right away. Never ran into any problems. Always call and check due to the fact that there are a few other locations in California and they use one website for all the locations. The best way to get ahold of them in my experience is through text message. Email is reliable also. Youll get a response typically a day later which is ok with me. All in all good experience.

Easy to order online, when items are in stock, but difficult to pick up because email/text invitations are pretty slow in response and when arriving at the location, service is even slower because no one is there to answer the door. On several of my trips, I had to ring the doorbell two/three times and send multiple text messages that I was outside waiting for someone to answer the door so I could pick up my order. I ended up waiting 25+ minutes because of this.Aside from service, the quality of equipment is great and havent had an issue with any of the equipment after several months of using them.TLDR; gym equipment is quality while customer service during pickup could be better.

It has been 8 months since I last ordered my 300lb weight set and I still have not received my 5lb or 10lb plates. I have reached out several times but have yet to get this resolved. I completely understand that these are difficult times, but the lack of communication, or being willing to accommodate, is unacceptable. I would return my items if possible (hard when you can’t reach), but I will definitely not be buying anything else from this company.

Have received quality equipment and the prices are reasonable compared to other gym equipment places.

This review is only in the context of in person/in stock pickup. I read all the reviews about the long wait times and ghosting and purposefully did not buy anything from them that wasnt already in stock. This meant I spent more money buying from other stores for some equipment, but I didnt want to deal with the hassle so it was worth it to me.But for my case of placing an online order for in stock items, I had a great experience. I spoke to someone on the phone who said I could come in right away after purchase of my item (even though I hadnt yet been emailed about it being ready) so I got there right after opening and was promptly helped by the people working there to pull my order and wheel it out to my car. The workers I met were courteous and professional and helped me lift the weights into the bed of my truck. I also made a spur of the moment decision to pickup a plyo box set while in store and they were able to get me rung up and loaded up with those boxes as well no complaints. I havent yet unboxed all my equipment because Im waiting on flooring for my gym, but I opened a few boxes and was pleased by the quality. The dumbbell set I got is exactly what I was looking for for half the price of whats on Amazon right now. Hard to beat that!So if youre thinking of buying in stock items and picking up in person, I can vouch for the experience being really easy.

Sleezy company. Do not order online, will not contact you back after not fullfilling orders months after advertised timeline. See Better Business Bureau. Many unfulfilled orders and just keeps the money.

I placed an order on 19 Feb and it was ready for pick up on the 22nd. When I arrived, I experienced timely and friendly customer service. This place will definitely be my go to spot for equipment.

Tre was very nice and helpful while discussing the pricing and in stock items. Also sent notification when the other items (plates) were in stock. All the items were individually wrappedThank you!

Do not order from this location. Their service is very unprofessional. I have been waiting for my order from past 9 months, still nothing. I placed it online last year in August. Everytime I email them , they say that they r on backorder. Called them tons of times and left them voicemail never got any call back.

Beware!!! They are rebranding as Extreme Training Equipment and shutting down The Fitness Factory. Who knows if they will even deliver back orders???? Seems super shady!

Supposedly, they close at 430 but as me and two other gentlemen stood outside for 20+ minutes waiting for someone to open the door. Called the store multiple times and nobody would answer. I guess they prefer not to have anyone buy anything. Never shopping here again!

Worst worst worst place!!! Its been a year no update on my order....they dont even deserve one star.

We stopped in for a quick look, coming back next weekend with a friend for some serious purchases. The grand opening sale is going to be eventful. This is not a show room, its a warehouse, with that in mind. I dont mind saving money on comercial grade equipment.

Update 8/20: they reworked their customer service a bit which has helped. They are definitely moving as quick as possible. They were reasonable and help me find alternative solutions to the delay. David especially did a fantastic job.While I commend the company for trying to help people during this time and letting them order in advance, I do believe they have messed up. Currently I have two orders one of which has been completed but I had to ask and fight for that. The other order is already 14 weeks out and has no communication so far. The turnaround time on orders is advertised as being 4 to 12 weeks, however most people are still waiting past this point. The fitness armory messed up when they made a promise that they could not keep, while they have tried to amend this recently I dont think that they will be able to. I would recommend that they offer some sort of compensation for anyone who had to wait an excessively long period after the promise time frame came and went.

TERRIBLE COMPANY.Placed an order back in April, 5-months later and the only updated I’ve received was a couple months ago telling me my order would be fulfilled in August. It’s mid-September and still no updates. It’s no wonder they don’t give refunds. I would shop around elsewhere before spending your money on this sketchy company. If you find yourself in the same situation the best thing you can do is reach out to your bank to try and reverse the charges.

Great service and friendly staff. We ordered a bunch of rubber mats and upon pickup, they were super quick and helpful. The product was just as expected.

Awesome customer service. Tre, one of the employee put all the equipment that I ordered to my SUV. Its a good thing especially for me as I recently had a spine surgery few months ago. I will recommend this store to everyone that is looking for gym equipment.

We just dropped a cool little buck in this place and we left feeling 100 percent satisfied. The customer service was phenomenal. The current deals were unbelievable. What else could we ask for!? If your in the market for some worth it gym equipment these guys come highly recommended.

Just went down to the new fitness armory location in Sacramento to pick up some equipment and was truly impressed. I worked with David the owner who made everything super easy and I was able to check out all the equipment they had in stock. Great equipment at s great price. Cant beat it.

7/21/20: I got my credit card company to reverse the charges on them and finally got my money back.Read their reviews on Yelp. I’m having the same negative experiences. They’re telling me 1-3 months be fore I’ll receive my order but they already charged me. Be wary of ordering from this company. The website makes you think they have things in stock, but they dont.

16 weeks ago I ordered. They wont even talk to me. They say 4-12 weeks. They help you it is inconvenient if you ask for an update prior to 10 weeks. Their updates on when you get your equipment are copies and pastes about jow they are trying to work and mean nothing. You have to message them 5 times to get a responce.

Made my initial order after the first lockdown in CA. Ordered a bar, a bunch of steel plates, adjustable bench and the half rack. I couldve went else where but the idea of saving money on shipping and just going to my local store for pickup was the better option. The items recieved were all in good condition with no major defect/flaw. It did take a while to get my items, but that was expected due to covid and the huge demand in gym equipment. All in all, as long as you dont mind waiting for items that you pay for sort of like a preorder where as competitors have notify me/out of stock on most of their in demand items.

Quick and easy to pick up my order

Purchased competition plates, squat rack an other home gym equipment in Sept 2016. So far everything i have purchased is of good quality. I Olympic lift almost daily an have no issues with the equipment. Customer service was always top notch. Never felt pressured and the sales reps often would stay late to assist me in making a purchase. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality equipment but do not want to spend a ton.

Small little warehouse. I was able to pickup my items faster than I had expected. The guy who helped me out was very courteous and helpful. I would definitely order more products from here if I need to.

They do supposed sales that are a rip off. I literally got a set of weights and rack for them for under half the cost of there going out of business sale. I order it and paid for it and every week for months the had most of my order but one or two sets of my weights and would convince me to wait till Friday when they got there shipment in and I would call and it would be the same story. They lie and try and keep you money. This place is a rip off I wouldnt buy any equipment from them and look other places before ordering because you can get the same or better quality equipment for way cheaper. This is the biggest scam.
