We are very happy with our new glass. Also, rollers and latches were repaired on some windows making them much easier and quieter to open and close. Everyone involved was great.

Quick and fast service! They cut glass panels for a bar top and when I messed up my measurements they were able to cut the excess off within an hour!! Will use them for my next project!

Fixed my window 🪟 awesome service

I’m a 68 year old retired woman. I found this company online and hired them to replace my sliding screen doors at a total of $800 for both doors, about two or three weeks later my bedroom screen slider comes off tract, I called and it was fixed, more than two months later my kitchen screen door slider started to stick, I can’t open the door more than half way before it sticks. I called this morning for them to fix the problem and am now being charged another $120 to have it fixed. If you want to fall into same problem better hope your problem happens before the two months. I don’t recommend this company and I will never use them again. Good luck to you if you do. Very upset in Sacramento. P.S. I have never written such a horrible review before but enough is enough with these companies taking advantage of people. The least they could do is extend warrant to 6 months or up to a year since they charge so much for repairs. 😡😡😡

I shopped around and was told to buy Anderson Windows, Milgard, and Plygem. Southgate Glass has their own windows and their quality and service is better than the competition. The only item that their warranty doesnt cover is if the glass is broken. (That is if your house is hit by a golf ball, baseball or something of that sort). Those warranties the companies put out are not worth the premium. I have dealt with each level of the company including Scott who is the President and I know that the company cares if I get a call back from that level. The reason this company has been in business for 60 plus years is service. Needed a glass plate for on top of my cupboard. And they did a great job, just took 24h and the price was comparable with other stores. Very friendly very smooth :-)

I attempted to use this company for a glass replacement. The young man and young lady working were very unhelpful. Piss poor service and bad attitudes. Not sure what the issue is with the stafg there but I cannot even rate quality of the work. I left without using them

I went into the Carmichael store to get help with selecting 3 new windows to replace my single pane. Based on their display models I chose a standard slider. I was told by Michael someone would come by and take measurements in 2 days. No one called and no one showed. I received an email from Michael confirming he would drop by with paperwork and get the order started. Again, no show and no follow up. I made an exact date time appointment again, and NO SHOW NO CALL. The technicians never had me on their schedule. Once I finally got the measurements completed, Michael said he would send me the paperwork and schedule an install date by Monday. Of course I never heard from him by Monday so I called 3 other window companies for quotes. On Tuesday, Michael emailed a contract. I let him know im receiving other bids, he didnt respond. I receieved one bid lower in price already and Im learning more about my glass options. I was asked if I want tempered and I didnt know even the difference. I have not signed any contracts or made install appointment yet. I live in Carmichael right next to Southgate and Im trying to keep business local, but you are making it very difficult. Can you salvage this sale, beat my lowest quote and can you provide me a new salesperson with much better service??? If so, I will update my review. Hoping your Company is far better than the salesperson I had.

I needed a piece of plate glass for an old single hung window. I tried to get at big box home center. After a 30 min wait, I was informed they only had picture frame glass. I called Southgate Glass, placed phone order paying with credit card. Was told will be ready in 15mins. Picked up correctly cut glass, glazing points, putty. I wont try to get glass/custom windows anywhere else from here on out.

I contacted Southgate glass because I was referred to them by a local window installer. They are licensed to remove windows under special circumstances. I am on the board of directors for The Preston Castle Foundation and we had a building that needed windows replaced. They were encased in lead paint so we had to have someone who had experience with this project as well as knowledge of keeping the integrity of buildings as old as this one. From beginning to end they were patient, knowledgeable and extremely professional. They bid a very fair price and did the job in two days! 12 windows in an old building and they knocked it out of the park! Not only do the windows look great, they look amazing! They did an incredible job! We are hoping they will be able to replace some doors in the castle next! Thank you to everyone at SouthGate that worked on this project for us! We are so appreciative and HIGHLY Recommend them for any window needs you may have!

I needed 1 window repaired and wanted 5 new custom windows. I spoke with a few neighbors and coworkers to get some recommendations and Southgate Glass was always mentioned. I called Southgate and two other companies to get quotes; they (Jim Boller) were the only one that was on time for the initial appointment and got the quote to me the following day. The ordering time for my custom windows was very reasonable and the price was right we’re I expected and in-line with the other two companies. The install started and finished as scheduled, it was smooth, clean, and they look amazing. Great staff, great product, great company!

Never go here for glass repair. They are extremely rude, and unhelpful. They look down on there customers, and offer no help or referral to other companies that will help. Also, you are not allowed to enter there store with a face mask. Stay far away from this company.

We recently needed a replacement window glass for our 1970’s sunroom. We received an excellent service at a reasonable cost from Southgate Glass. We were pleasantly happy with professionalism, skills and workmanship of Rafael and Kyle, who performed the work.

Southgate glass Carmichael location rocks! Steve was able to fix my custom round glass table top without a total replacement. When I moved, the movers rolled the glass top on its side. Its a custom extra large, extra thick glass top for an 8 person table. The edges became chipped when it was rolled. In some places they were sharp enough to cut. Other glass places told me my only option was to replace it ($1200). Steve was able to help buff them out so that the chipped areas were less obvious and not at all sharp. He was able to do it in one day and for a super resonable cost! I am using the table top again but when I get ready to replace it, I will definitely call them back! Thanks Steve and the crew at Southgate! :)

My grandma is so happy with her windows. I was worried that she was going to be overcharged and taken advantage of. It was the exact opposite. A technician by the name of Kevin came to the house to measure the windows, he was professional and presentable. After measuring the windows my grandma mentioned to him that my Grandfather worked at a glass shop all his life and so did numerous uncles of mine. Needless to say that the senior citizen discount was very generous of them. The final cost of 8 double pane windows was very small compared to what I thought it was going to be.I want to say thank you to Kevin and Southgate Glass for hooking up my grandma up and being honest. I will always recommend you to friends and family due to the experience I have received. Thank you again.

Awesome customer service. Our regular vendor was having difficulty filling our orders and never could deliver on time. Southgate took a new job we gave them that our previous vendor was unable to complete correctly over the past three weeks, but Southgate had it completed and ready for pick-up in just 2 days! Glass was cut to the exact measurements that I gave them, fit perfectly on my windows, and the glass was cut fast.

Personal were friendly enough. As I was there asking about new wheels the guy started taking the bottom rail off and only took the one end screw out at first and another guy said wait you need to take both ends out so you dont bend the rail. I have the door back and there are scratches on the frame now that were not there before and dents on the corners too. The new wheels are in but not attached, they slide around. Not good on quality.

Over charged and material not as it supposed to be

I am very pleased with the work completed this afternoon by the folks at Southgate Glass. Scheduling was easy for both the onsite estimate and for completing the work. One call was all it took, and the price was reasonable.The job crew, Rick Davis and Kevin Medley, were great! They were were nice to deal with and the work was well planned and executed.

Horrible customer service. I called for a rough estimate based on dimensions. Despite two other glass companies being able to provide a rough estimate over the phone with the same information the rep refused to provide an estimate unless I emailed the dimensions with a photo of the space. I explained that I was unable to do so due to personal restrictions at the time and just needed a rough estimate based on the dimensions. The rep became defensive and claimed that an accurate estimate could not be given. I prefer to work with a company that listens to its customers and helps accommodates their needs.

Southgate replaced all of the windows in my house and also added a french door. The Milgard windows worked well, look great and blend in with my existing trim. The installation team was excellent, installed all of the windows and door in two days, cleaned up and left the house as if they were not there. The price was within the range I wanted to spend and the service was excellent.

Waiter sucked. He took our order then not brought us or drinks, food, and never checked up on our table. I had to go to the bar and get my drink myself Im never going back

I have used them for nearly 15 years but that seems to mean nothing to #bad_business_916 Southgate glass. Just over the past two months I have had two incidents whereby their main concern was money and not providing good customer service. Each encounter involved Rafael not willing to accommodate and or be accountable. He literally argued me down after I took him a screen as a pattern. When i received the new screen it didnt fit the window it came from. Rafael argued with me saying that it was the exact same size as the one i brought in. I explained to him that it does not go back into the window it came from. He then wanted to chsrge me an additional 36 dollars.My other issue with him was when I again took my old screen in that had a bronze frame but when I went to pick it up the frame was white. RAFAEL didnt want to compensate for the inconvenience and wasted gas i used coming to get the screen that was wrong due to their error. Seems to me that he was more concerned about the money than providing me with good customer service. I will never be doing business with them again and wouldnt suggest anyone else do business with them.

Great company to do business with! I had made some calls looking to get a Sliding glass door that had been shattered fixed. Only one side was damaged. Some of the companies in the area tried a hard sell and tried to convince me that the whole door MUST be replaced. I know this is not the case. Southgate glass was great at taking care of me. Got the door fixed up and everything is great now. Trust these guys, its worth it.

I brought in a mirror that I needed cut to a slightly smaller size. Not a problem. They unloaded it, made the necessary cuts and reloaded it back into my minivan. Will definitely use them in the future.

I called for an estimate and the technician was on time and very polite and helpful. Said he would have an estimate for me the next day, but I didnt receive one.I followed up with an email and two phone calls and havent heard back. I dont know if I fell through the cracks or if they decided my job was too small.

I hate leaving negative reviews; but hopefully managers/owners will read this and take action to improve it. I try to support local small businesses occasionally; however this time it put me down big time. This place has stupid hidden policies that doesnt make sense for 21st century. I bought a small lock from them for my patio door; but when I got home it didnt fit in. I have collected all the pieces and went back with the receipt in my hand. No damage or missing part they tell me they cant refund me because their company policy is to not return open packages. It is their responsibility to warn their customers about their weird return policy as a courtesy; but they would rather see their own products in a trash can rather than trying to help a customer by recycling it. Hope their managers teach their folks how to treat customers better; it will benefit them big time.

Called in to order windows. asked for 5/8 spacer between the glass. when I got my window it was 5/8 total thickness. there is a 1/4 gap now on my slider door trim. I asked them how it got made wrong they told me it was the dimensions that I gave them. I was very accurate on the dimensions I wanted. after paying over $400 for a window that doesnt fit, the only thing they could offer was for me to pay $308 to remake the window. I asked them to review the recorded call and call me back to discuss. they just never called me back. I feel ignored and I wont recommend them to anyone. thanks for making all 3 of the windows I had done wrong. I spent $700 and they messed up all three. I ended up using the two smaller ones but they didnt fit well either. there is big difference between a 1/2 Spacer and a 1/2 overall thickness. im not really sure how a glass company can not know the difference.

Put an order for window parts, they charged my credit card and say it should arrive in a weeks or 2 after checking vendor online catalogue. I came back a month later to pickup and they say they dont have it. I said its been a month and no one care to call and checkup on the item. They came up with the lamest excuse saying, that their vendor company is worldwide thus took them a long time to reply back and they just got a phone call yesterday saying that its a discontinue item. I can tell that they are making up BS... Unacceptable!!! Never shop here again!
