I really really love their lemon grass soup. They have good deals on lunch hour. Their gyros are delicious. But the soup and the owners are the heart of this restaurant.

We found this Gem about 8 years ago. We since have moved out of state. We come back to visit two or three times a year and eating at Cafe Europe is always at the top of our list.The food is AMAZING. The six months in between is torture. Taki the owner is so friendly and sweet, its like eating with family.We normally enjoy our wedding anniversary dinner here with Taki. Actually driving to Cali right now and we are so excited for some Lamb Gyros and Greek fries.

Owner was very friendly to my mom and I when we went for dinner this evening. My moms first time having greek food! The falafel was super tasty, as was the spanakopita. The gyro supreme is like California style.... with feta cheese and french fries on it! Super tasty, good value for the price, and we will be back. 👍🏻

Slow service. Wi-Fi refused. Few diners in restaurant at lunchtime & mediocre food. Salad is iceberg lettuce. Tabouli not on menu. Waiter behaved rudely as if frenzied. Unpleasant experience. Too bad, it is hard to find really good Greek food. But Ive had way better than this.

They do a nice job here and I enjoy my time when I come here. In particular, I love their take on traditional Avgolemeno soup. The Kabobs are fairly priced and grilled perfectly.

I celebrated my graduation last night in this gorgeous place. Well it was a pleasant evening and the venue was no doubt the reason for that successful celebration. The stuff participated in a graceful way, the meals were yummy and my friends were very overjoyed. We shall definitely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Kathy had the Lamb with rice (13.25), I had the Chicken with rice (11.25). They also included a salad and pita bread with a cucumber dipping sauce. There was plenty to eat. We enjoyed it very much. Comfortable decorum. Very pleasant staff.

This is a great place to dine if you want to try a restaurant in Sacramento. The food was amazing, and tasted authentic. The Greek fries are a must try! And the folks working were genuine. Weve been to Cafe Europa twice in the past couple of weeks. For dinner and lunch. Weve had the gyro meat served as a meal and as a gyro sandwich, chicken for me and the beef/lamb for hubby. Very very good. A clean little place in a fairly large meandering shopping center. The front of house staff (owner?) Is really helpful and friendly. Beer and wine are available, as well as your standard soft drink selection. Prices are reasonable. Now our favorite area Greek establishment.

As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted and made welcome. The food was served very quickly, and even though I had already paid at the counter, the server came back and checked on me several times, refilling my drink and ensuring everything was meeting my expectations. Then, when I left and was halfway to my car, the server came out and thanked me for coming by. Great service makes for loyal customers, and Ill be glad to come back next time Im in town.

This place has become my go to quick meal. The produce is fresh, meat flavorful and tender everytime. Fried zucchini, Mediterranean salad and sausage are all bomb. Fairly priced and portions are very solid.

My husband and were wanting to try something new in the area so decide to come here. We were excited to try it and they didnt fail us at all! They greeted us right away i noticed how clean it was we figured out what we wanted ordered maybe 10min later our food came DELICIOUS! WE BOTH HAD THE CHICKEN SANDWICH MY HUSBAND GOT GREEK FRIES (delicious too) AND I GOT REGULAR FRIES WITH A DRINK EVEN AFTER PAYING THEY CHECKED ON US THROUGHT THE TIME WE WERE THERE

Love this place. I ordered the Gyros plate. The flavor of the meat was great. And the meat was cooked perfectly - not dry like you get at some Greek restaurants. And the salad was very good. I recommend this place to anyone.

Food was phenomenal and service was amazing! Really nice guys. They lost a star after using there restroom and having the timed light go off twice while in it. It seemed like it was a motion sensor but all the dancing in the dark got no response. Only my pants down, standing ovation with a quick open and shut of the door, would trigger the light. Que the eye roll. 🙄

I had the chicken gyro and it was very flavorful and tasted great. I also added a side Greek salad. However, the lettuce out the bag gross. I am a lettuce snob when it comes to it being on my sandwiches and salad. My expectations are a little high when it comes to a restaurant. Other than the bag of lettuce on my gyro and being used the service was quick. If a friend hadnt told me about this place I would have never known where it was located. Thanks to Google Maps for the directions.

This place used to be THE hidden gem of Greek food in Sacramento, but it has gone downhill since the Howe Bout Arden shopping centre started being developed. The food is still good enough to warrant the stars, but the staff is no longer as cordial or as customer oriented. If you go, go early, as they run out of the good stuff early, and the substitutions they are willing to offer are not a replacement so much as a downgrade.

Amazing cafe! Tucked into a small parking lot, but its amazing Greek food at cafe price! The gyros are my favorite, and my girlfriend loves their vegetarian menu. Owner is fantastic and always helpful. I lived across the street for a year before I discovered it, and Im sad I didnt find it more quickly. If you want great greek food and youre in the area stop by!

My new favorite Greek place since Dinos Dogs & Gyros on Folsom Blvd closed down. Have tried just about everything and it is all delicious. What more can you ask for, great service and delicious food to boot! I also like the fact that they offer you a water when you order to go and when you are waiting on your food.

Lamp gyro and chicken kabob are so good. I dont know how they prepare the meat but it melts in your mouth. Super friendly service. Noticed last time I was there (4/28/18) that they seem to take a lot of to go orders.

Drinks are refilled food comes out promptly.Food is very consistent and full of flavor. Food never comes out at different temperatures or feels like the food is old, always fresh and hot.Prices are fair and not overly expensive. Food quality makes it very worth the costs. We really like this place. Since the Greek Village Inn closed its become our go-to for authentic Greek food. The menus doesnt have some of the options Id like, but everything is good. The avgolemono soup is a favorite of ours.

Now this is where to go for a delicious Gyro! Itll cost you $8 for a gyro, fries and drink, but its legit. The service is very good as well. The owner runs the front counter and is very prompt on bringing your food out and refilling your drinks.

We love this place. For ten bucks more than wed spend going to fast food we get delicious home made quality food and is consistent. Talk to the owner Taki. Id you like spicy, try his namesake gyro that comes with American cheese, grilled onions, french fries and jalapeños- my husband always orders this but he subs in feta in lieu of the American. I get the supreme that also has fries. The Greek salad is super tasty, add is the rice. Its tucked to the side of the newer, bigger Howe about Arden shopping center and unassuming. The atmosphere is very laid back, where you order & pay at the counter, but they bring you your food, drinks & refills, your check and they bus the table. If you like gyros, you will most likely love Café Europa!

The Taky Gyro is the best Gyro I have ever had in my life anywhere I have ever been. No matter what you want to eat, this place will make you something delicious.
