Mike the new owner is cool and down to earth, he makes the coffee correctly the other ladies dont make it as good so ask for him, I recommend a white triple mocha with whip cream, mmmm delicious and the chocolate muffins with the cheesecake center as seen in these photos

This is an excellent coffee shop! They have great coffee and a good assortment of food and pastries. The owner and staff are very friendly. This is a locally owned business. I have been to just about every coffee shop in Sacramento midtown area and 5 Sips is my favorite.

5 Sips and the new owner is amazing! I came in for just the second time since they switched owners, and it was a wonderful experience. Super COVID conscious, they gave my daughter a free hot chocolate (which blew her mind) and the owner Michael even helped us carry our food and drinks across the street so that we could have a picnic. Totally recommend supporting this great local spot!

Quaint coffee shop with great frozen blended drinks, espresso drinks, quiche, bagels, fresh-baked scones, etc. You cannot go wrong here. They are respecting the COVID-10 protocols and have socially distanced seating outside. Come support Michael and his team! We try to visit most days (and our dog loves it because they have treats out for him)!

We love 5 Sips! It’s our favorite local coffee shop. They make the best cold brew in Sacramento—we seriously drink it year round. Great food too! Staff and owner are always so friendly. We couldn’t recommend it more.

This is my second time visiting 5 Sips Coffee, and once again I am absolutely blown away by the customer service. I interacted with Michael and Daniel on both visits, and they have a way of making you feel right at home immediately. They are wisecracks and I love it.Along with the excellent customer service 5 Sips has delicious food (Im looking at you, Curry Burrito) and, most importantly, great coffee. When I run out of beans I know where Im gonna head to.I meant to make this review upon my first visit, but the second one was a nice reminder that this is a business I will be visiting much more frequently.P.S. Thanks for giving our puppy Baloo a treat! Youre officially his favorite coffee spot.

I am a regular now! How do I know? The coffee gets prepared when they see me parking the car and it is ready by the time I reach the counter! And the espresso is good, the service friendly and they even care for my dog with free treats. The added bonus is a clean and shaded small park across the road. I bring my own folding chair but, if I have friends, I can borrow a chair of two from the Cafeteria and go and sit on the grass. I have changed many a cafe’ in Sacramento during the years...5 Sips is a keeper.

Great place to get great coffee! Brews the coffee right and has everything you could vwant! If it isnt just the way you like it, tell them and they will make it better! This is a new owner and he is improving the place every single day! Try the breakfast burrito, they are awesome!We were concerned when the old owner retired (same facility as metro expresso), but she gave strong endorsements of the new owner and she was not wrong! The place is in great hands and we could not be happier with our little neighborhood coffee shop!

Formerly Espresso Metro, 5 Sips has maintained the atmosphere and quality of the previous owner. A fixture of the Land Park/Sac City College area, this coffee shop is frequented by loyal locals who appreciate an independent small business. They serve all of the coffee drinks as well as a variety of tasty sweet and savory snacks. I highly recommend 5 Sips!

TL;DR: Strong coffee, well-priced, friendly (fun, and witty) staff--Great new(er) coffee shop in the Land Park area. Its pretty easy to find/get to and parking is abundant. Theres a park across the street thatd be perfect for sipping on a coffee and reading a book, etc. when the air quality cooperates. For iced espresso-based drinks, they pull the shot then let it sit/cool some in the cup before adding ice & add-ins (e.g. milk, water) to extract the strongest flavor, which I really appreciated. Nothings worse than a watered-down coffee because the shot was pulled directly over ice. Prices were very reasonable.The man working behind the counter -- perhaps the owner? -- was super friendly and sarcastic (in a fun, jokey way). They have a stamp card (buy 10 drinks get 1 free) and you can *leave* your stamp card there instead of lugging it around in your purse/wallet. As someone who has (an embarrassingly large number of) stamp cards that I often forget to bring with me, I thought this was a cool idea.Regarding COVID-19, masks are mandatory, indoor seating is closed (though that may be in part because the seem to be renovating the inside some) but there is plenty of outdoor seating, not including the aforementioned park. It felt very clean, safe, and welcoming.

Definitely a nice relaxing place to enjoy coffee & tea. Good vibes, food and of course the owner is just outstanding! He’s pretty awesome. Staff are always so sweet

Just tried to go in and no one has masks on! Forget that.Edit:In response to Lily, how can they be super Covid-conscious when the employee behind the counter and all the customers standing at the counter talking with him were maskless?I just saw the reply from the owner as well. These people werent eating, they were standing on both sides of the counter in a group talking.

Great coffee and wonderful service! If you are looking for a local spot with great coffee at prices lower than anywhere else in the area, this is the place for you! I come here pretty regularly and I’m always happy with the service and the offerings. Food is fresh and tasty, coffee is delicious!

This new place is beyond wonderful for a coffee and a nice, light snack. I would recommend the Santa Fe Farmhouse, one of the wraps, or a breakfast bagel. The owner is great and I was very happy with my experience here! Go and support small business and visit 5 sips!

The new owner has kept up the food options and the charm of the former Espresso Metro, this despite the problems of Covid. Ive purchased coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches. All good. Check them out.

Expresso Metro is still in business now as 5 Sips Coffee! 5 Sips is much more than just a coffee shop, its a place of wonderful community, friendship. The great coffee, fresh food made in-house daily and great customer service are just the icing on the cake!This is a must visit destination especially during COVID 19 season of uncertainty. This is my happy place. Coffee just the way I like it. Friendly service. Reliable wifi. Homemade sweet and savory eats. Right across from the grassy square called Don Quijote Park (really, thats the name!). With a little Quixotic imagination, the big arches that shade the cafes patio can sometimes trick me into thinking Im at a sidewalk cafe along the Place des Vosges in Paris (but without the Parisian prices).
