Very impressed by everything in this store. Some of their vegetables price are better than foodmaxx and the quality are really good. They also have cooked food, you can buy half roasted duck here instead the whole duck. They also have live fish or other sea food. If you looking a Asian market to go to, highly recommended this one. Fair price with good quality.

They sell real authentic Hong Kong Barbeque foods, the biggest roast duck even compared to renowned chefs from San Francisco, where I had the pleasure of tasting the best of the best. Roast duck being my favorite foods, next would be roast chicken which I havent tried yet at this location. The roast pork, rib part only is quite thick, meaty, and also to be rivaled. I found my heaven, it is this little out of the way place, the most obscure location, yet, they serve food to die for.

This place is a fantastic food store: roast chicken and duck, fresh fish (live from the tank), and even packaged, frozen Japanese scallops which I could not find at Koreana Plaza.

This used to be one of my favorite market to get fresh cooked food and my basic cooking ingredients. But recently, the store looks very cutters with stuff over stacked and things all over the places with very little room to walk and getting bumped by other customers. Totally a fire hazards👩🏻‍🚒.The worst things about the store is the check out line😡😡🤬🤬. it has NO system! People just cuts in especially those shoppers from China and no manners in and no courtesy to line up like other shoppers. Even when the check out ladies saw them, she still let them cut in😡😡🤬🤬.

They have a variety of ethnic foods. They also have live fish and other seafood available. They have fresh roasted whole pig, ducks, soy sauce chickens and steamed chicken and fresh cut meats. The only thing that I dont like is that they are still charging for bags.

This market is very small, but has a huge selection of Asian produce, meats and other grocery items. Its typically my go-to Asian market in sacramento. however, since the pandemic it is always very busy, so expect not to be able to find a shopping cart or basket and to wait in line for 20 or more minutes. People also are not very good at social distancing in the store, so be prepared for that. Theyre roast duck and barbecued pork are excellent my favorite hands down in town. Great prices and always fresh food.

As soon as you walk into the front door there is an awful smell even though I was wearing a mask. The seafood smell was horrible and you could tell it was not fresh.

The meat counter clerks and some of the other staff arent very friendly, English is not spoken too well and a few months ago I did see a live rodent run across the floor while waiting in line.

Excellent prices on fresh meat and seafood. The best baked BBQ Pork Baos in Sacramento. Communication is pretty easy when it comes to food, even with little English being spoken. The staff is old school and quiet so many people mistake this for being rude or conceited but its really not. The folks there are respectful and kind. If you need help it will come! Ive never felt unwelcome or uncomfortable here! They carry live fish and crustaceans, the pork butt is gorgeous. I made char siu with it and it was better than all the others Ive tasted in Sacramento. They have hot foods at nice prices. You can find cookware, frozen Asian convenience foods/snacks like Siu Mai, dumplings, and Baos. There are sauces/spices/marinades of all kinds, most of which are not carried by major grocers or even advertised and unless youre familiar with Asian foods, youd be suprised to see them. They have a small but power packed produce section with real pricing. Fancy stores can sell exotic Asian pears for 4.99 a pound while AFC prices them around 1.99 a pound. The produce always looks fresh and shows that they move what they bring in.Try the store out and youll find something life changing!

For a small Asian market that is located centrally near downtown, it carries all the things you would need. On the weekend, they have a lot more fish available. I even saw frogs alive. Though the market isnt big, they carry some specialty ingredients like young fresh ginger, live black bass, and even roasted pork.

We had stopped by to have some El Pollo Loco and this is located right next to it. It is an interesting place with a wide variety of foods catering to the Asian community that you do not normally see in any other place. They have a fairly good fish selection and it looks fresh. Some of the people working over there cannot speak English so it is a little tiresome if you want to ask a question. Overall the place was nice and clean weather White selection of Asian Foods.

When I walked in the establishment, I did not expect to see such a well organized and beautiful grocery store. I thought it would be similar to a wholesale operation. In fact its the exact opposite. Fresh fruit, prepared duck are just a few of the highlights. Worth taking a look.

Review №39

I come here because it’s close to where I live downtown. Their produce is reasonably priced and fresh. But everything else is really poor quality. Don’t expect good vinegar, soy sauce, Hsiaoshing wine, dried shrimp etc etc ie all the staples of Chinese cooking. But that’s a problem with most Asian markets. China produces a lot of really awful food products that are full of artificial colors and flavorings. And all the markets stock the same junk. Try finding good tea. Good luck. But back to our market in question. Don’t expect courtesy or a smile from the women who man the checkouts, they’re uniformly and perennially unpleasant year in year out. And the place could be a lot cleaner. When I get home I wash everything before I put them away.

**BE AWARE WHEN YOU ORDER COOKED FOOD**They dont wear gloves when cutting/handling the cooked food such as the roast duck, chicken, pork, etc. When I asked for them to please wear gloves before cutting my duck, the young clerk became very defensive, claiming since her hands were clean the gloves would be unnecessary. However, I saw her using the same rag that she uses to wipe her hands on the chopping board! I then simply asked her not to cut the whole duck and just give it to me whole (since I didnt want someone elses hands on my food before I eat it), and she instantly insulted me, saying you must not cook at home, huh? How rude! Why not just put on gloves? Or if you dont have gloves, just tell me, and then not cut my whole duck? This also happened previously when I ordered the steamed chicken, so this definitely isnt a one off thing. That time was worse, though, since they also cut it up right next to the raw chicken and pork. As other people have noted, there are numerous basic health violations. Due to lack of hygiene, definitely dont go here for cooked food. Just go to Ranch 99, its the same price and at least they wear gloves.

ALWAYS CLOSES EARLIER THAN THEIR STATED HOURS, LIKE THEYRE UNGRATEFUL FOR BUSINESS AND DONT WANT CUSTOMERS. Also, I wouldnt trust the meat/fish and the produce looks gross. Have some grocery items cheaper than other Asian stores on Broadway, but literally not worth the hassle and grunge. Sacramento retail sucks.
