Always helpful and friendly. Every time I go everything is handled with the workers going above and beyond what is needed. I brought in a package and they secured it for me just in case to keep it safe. Also helped me track down a missing shipment that actually wasnt missing but just misplaced by the recipient. However they were ready to start the process to credit me back in case the package was lost. I will always come to this store when I need to ship something.

1. The workers did not WANT to help me. Customer service was not good.2. The workers were not knowledgeable on the services they provide nor helpful.Would not recommend. You’re better off going elsewhere.To the owner— no , I came there because I could not do EDDM at the post office. This is a prime example of how they did not want to help me. They didn’t even know what I was trying to accomplish. Again — do not waste your time. The FedEx in Royal oak is a MUCH better option :)

Great store! Needed a rush notary for a family trust and made appt at 2 other stores accepting appt. but notary not working/ out -of date website. Connor took me at this location as walk-in, dropped everything to help. Saved the day with courteous and professional service. This will be my default store despite the extra 10 minute drive.

This location should be avoided. The spotty guy behind the counter is trying to launder money by over charging customers for printing. I needed a return label printed that was needed to return something from a online store. He was wanting to charge me $2 a sheet for that. I told him the Troy store doesnt charge at all for this. He replied that they are a busy store and toner is expensive. I said Im not paying for something that should be taken care of by UPS. They only charge 39 cents on the website for that store.So I wont be going to this location again since they will try and scam you for things like this.They are still trying to justify after replying back to me saying that they think its justified to charge $2 a page for printing when you can do it for $0.39 to the app. This place will go out of business because theyre nothing but people trying to rip people off. Get new owners in there that will treat customers correctly instead of trying to scam them. I dont see why printing a return label is any different than printing any other page for the difference of a $1.60. trying to justify ripping people off because they want people to pay for their toner, thats called overhead and thats what running a business is all about. Having overhead for the cost of running your daily business and taking care of your customers. I would have not had a problem if they charged me $0.39 for the page but trying to pad and line their pockets is unacceptable and everyone that goes here and reads this should know about it.

So many things wrong here I hardly know where to begin. Brought in a small bubble envelope on a Wednesday afternoon that I needed to arrive by Saturday. There is a significant up charge for this. Not only did it not arrive by Saturday, it had still not arrived by Monday. When I called the store, Kathy advised that I wait to see if the package got lost. By Wednesday, not only had it not arrived at its destination, a note in the tracking summary said it had been left at a retail store for pick up!? I was never informed that it wouldn’t be delivered as addressed; in fact if I had not looked at tracking, I would never have known it was in limbo somewhere as it was a surprise package that the recipient didn’t expect. Very confusing as I have sent packages to this address numerous times. When I called again and explained the situation, I was put on hold. Eventually, “manager” Connor came on the line. I was told that 1) no delivery dates are guaranteed, and 2) the driver makes the decision whether to deliver due to COVID, and that it was highly unlikely he could get it rerouted to the recipient. Honestly just the nuttiest answer. This envelope literally could have been dropped in the mailbox. I was also told that if the recipient didn’t pick it up within 7 days, it would be shipped back to me. I’m relatively new to this area; have never had this type of issue with UPS. Obviously each individual store/manager can make a huge difference in level of customer service. Definitely finding a new location for future shipping needs.

Kathy was super friendly and helpful with me. I had a really big package which was not prepared and she helped me package it and kindly organized everything with me. This was extremely refreshing as most of the time people will not go out of their way to help you with things like this. It was a small thing but it makes a big difference. I always enjoyed going to this location until the last time I dropped something to get sent. My address was adjusted by the employee typing in my info because “they never used that zip code before” so chose to pick a different zip code that they have used before. while my package was supposed to be there overnight instead it never made it I had to go deliver the package myself in the end. What a waste of time, and money. I will never trust to do business with this ups anymore.

The store was very busy, line went out the door. They had someone organizing and directing the line so that helped. 6 feet apart as well. There was a lady that helped us that kept my very active 5 year old busy. She gave her 2 shipping labels to color and said they were stickers. She was thrilled. The employee also was *very* patient with us since we had a lot of things to notarize and signatures just right. She never made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We were already stressed about the process so she made it easier on us.

Dropped off a package May 17, 2021 for return to Amazon. Status is still label printed and I have been re-charged for the item I was returning.When I call the store , it re-directs me to corporate and a recording that tells me the same thing. Not a happy camper.

On July 10 of this year, I brought a package to the Royal Oak UPS store location for shipment to a facility in Cerritos, CA. On July 17 I was notified by my customer in California that they were told the package had been damaged and to contact the sender (myself) for more information. This was the first I had heard of the problem. I contacted UPS who said the package had been damaged and that they would contact me with next steps, which they never did. When I followed up with them, I was told that the package was destroyed and there was nothing left. When I filed an insurance claim, I was denied - the reason being that the contents were improperly packaged. I disagree for two reasons - one, the packaging was done properly, and two, the package was accepted at this UPS Store who, by all rights, should have told me the packaging was inadequate before accepting.In any case, my follow up was eventually referred to Mary Hoover at this location who said she would dispute the denial and would get back to me. After a week of not hearing from her, I reached out to her again. She said the dispute would take many weeks and that she would reach out once it was complete. I allowed four months and then reached back out to Mary at this UPS store for an answer. Eventually her coworker, Brad, returned my call and said the dispute was denied twice and that there was nothing else to be done. Brad offered to refund my shipping (about $60), but nothing more. My attempts at reaching someone at UPS have been in vain, they simply do not allow for a way to contact them via phone.My complaints are as follows; one, I think the way that the UPS Store handled this problem is embarrassingly negligent. The paperwork I have seen from UPS suggests that this matter was closed by corporate before the end of the month of July. I believe that Mary Hoover did nothing other than put me off, hoping I would forget about my $500. Two, the idea that I paid for insurance for a package that was damaged/destroyed but have no way to execute on the claim is simply awful. The reality is that the contents of the package were worth ten times the amount for which I had insured it. That error is on me, however had I paid hundreds more for the additional insurance, I still would have been denied. Finally, I think the way UPS manages these sorts of issues is terrible. The fact that they provide no way to get information, no way to discuss the matter in any way is unacceptable.In short, I cannot accept this resolution. I will post this review, I will post additional reviews, I will continue to attempt to reach out to UPS, and take any means necessary to pursue this matter to a reasonable closure.

These are exactly my points. The associates do (as one would expect) notify customers if the package is not adequately taped. The box was adequately taped, which was verified by the fact that your associates did not recognize a problem here, but UPS says it was not adequate.As far as dealing with your manager – I started to do so (spoke with Brad originally) but was then referred to you. You and I spoke on the phone twice – the first time, you told me you would be opening a dispute and that YOU would reach out to me once you heard back. After a week, I reached back out to you and you told me that the matter would take some time due to the pandemic, but again, you would reach out once you heard about the dispute. I gave this until last week (approximately 12 weeks) at which point I reached out again. You did not reach out to me after each claim, nor did your manager. With great difficulty, I have managed to contact UPS customer service who has made it clear that my complaint is with the UPS Store franchisee – that’s you. Therefore, this is the direction in which I will proceed. I would strongly encourage you to contact me directly instead of arguing this in a public forum.To be honest, I agree with UPS corporate - this responsibility does fall on you. Not because the store failed to adequately tape up the box, or tell me that the box was not adequately taped, but rather because you did not properly express to UPS corporate the fact that their reason for denial (inadequate packaging) cannot be correct as the package came through your facility where it is checked.Listen, I believe you or Brad did open up a claim, probably online in a simple web page, and then probably even clicked the dispute button after it was rejected. Maybe it was even done twice. But I dont believe it took 12 weeks to get an answer and I know without question that you or your manager never reached out to me once since the time this all started (i.e., before November). Finally, I am certain you did not properly explain the situation to UPS as that would have absolutely understood that they must honor the insurance claim.You must understand the issue here - I send packages using UPS all the time, and drop them off at your store all the time BECAUSE its a safeguard to ensure that packages are properly sealed. If UPS can lose or destroy an insured parcel and then say that the insurance claim is denied due to improper packaging without any evidence whatsoever, and the UPS Store itself is unwilling to step in on any level, then UPS is not to be trusted, the concept of the UPS Store is useless, at least to me for this purpose, and UPS insurance is a scam.My complaint stands and I will continue pursuing this matter until it has been properly resolved.

They overrided the address I had for my package to a new one they thought was correct. The package was shipped then stuck in limbo because the address was in correct and needed more information. I called this specific UPS to talk to an attendant for assistance and they dropped the call after I talked to someone and they put me on hold. I called back and a representative started to help me then said her computers were down temporarily and she would call me back. She never called me back. Don’t go here unless you want your packages to get lostEDIT: In response to the owners comment below. The associate I spoke with did not update the address like he says. The address was updated after I called the UPS in Palmdale, CA (the destination of the package) and the associate at that UPS assisted in changing the address.While the Sender did sign and verify the value of the changed address, as is store policy, its also probably wise to include in the store policy that they should recommend any changes that the UPS system comes up with so that packages dont become lost

This UPS store does not recycle boxes, which is important because of climate change of course. They also charge you to print UPS Shipping labels. Yes, they make you pay to print the label that you buy from them.

Stopped in to drop off an Amazon return. I was Ill prepared and didnt have the correct box. The young lady at the counter produced appropriate packaging and I was on my way. Everyone in the facility was wearing a mask and observing social distancing. Great experience!

Walked in and out in a couple minutes. Had to return a device to the manufacturer, they found me the right size box (for like $2) and packed it up for me. Very pleasant experience. Dont usually write reviews but they did a great job for me today.

Ive used this store once or twice a week for the last five years. Staff is uniformly friendly and helpful. They greet me by name, which is surprising and pleasant. Even when theyre busy the wait is never more than 5 minutes.I moved 6 months ago, and now I have to drive past several other UPS stores to use this one. Im happy to do that because they actually care about my business, unlike some other locations.Five stars.

I went in after hours not realizing they were closed with a package (after closing on 7/10/20 but the door was unlocked) and wanting to drop off a package. The guy behind the counter literally yelled at me. I said sorry I didnt realize you were closed and asked if I could leave a package. Review about this store, and specifically an on-the-phone interaction I had with one of their employees (Charly).I recently had a Best Buy order that was supposedly delivered by UPS and signed by Jasmine.I have spent literally the last hour on the UPS.com website, only to be told that my shipment was not eligible for a claim, was delivered, etc.Basically it was apparent that UPS corporate was dead set against helping me to resolve the issue.I decided that I would go around the system and call the local UPS store. Ignoring the phone prompts that they cannot help me with a package that was not routed through this location, I was quickly connected to Charly.Charly asked me a couple of questions (was it signed by Jasmine? being the key one), at which point she calmly, politely, and reassuringly explained to me that this means that:1) The UPS package was delivered to a Post Office2) The Post Office would be doing the final delivery3) I can find the USPS tracking information through the UPS website via the UPS tracking number.The whole call took less than 2 minutes of her time, but after the endless run-around that UPS corporate gave me, I wanted to thank Charly for providing a simple answer that UPS corporate refused to give me after an hour of customer support.Thank you Charly!

Rude staff.called ahead of time that I will be reaching exactly at their closing time and just need to drop off a package. they said please come. I hung up the phone and within a few seconds parked in front of their door. While I was getting off the car, watched the open sign turning off. knocked on the door and they refused to open. They could have honest on the phone - not the customer service I paid for

$3.00 to simply use a computer? Since when? Ive been to this location a hundred times and this is the first time Id seen that. Policy changes I can live with, despite $3 being insanely expensive on top of whatever youre using it for, the employee being extra rude about it (its on the sign!) I cant be ok with. Really bad customer service, what happened to the nice people who used to work there? I wont be back.

I dropped 2 packages off to be returned to 2 different companies. 1 return has been completed with refund in my hand. The other has been pending. Come to find out I should have returned the package via FedEx. not UPS. Here’s my beef... if UPS cannot ship a package with FEDEX tracking number, why was the package accepted at your store? In addition, where is my package. The company i originally purchased it from called this UPS store and discovered that my package is waiting to be picked up yet no one at the store called to inform me of the error. Your store has had my package for over 3 weeks. All my dealings with you in the past have been stellar. However, this is unacceptable. I get mistakes are made, but to hold a package without trying to contact me is unacceptable.

The UPS store employees at this store are rude and unprofessional. On many occasions I had been directed to leave my prepaid packages (didn’t need receipt) on the floor next to the counter but was instead told after politely asking were to leave it to wait in a long line out to the parking lot and unable to do that being handicapped. My wife witnessed me leaving the package but this store never shipped it so essentially stole it. I will be seeking legal remedies and warning others of their dishonest practices!

With their help we were able to raise $3500 toward funding our engineering dreams.Mary and her staff at the UPS Store has been great every time I go in to mail a package or get copies. Another great thing about this store is that they have a notary right on staff! I needed a notarized document and it took only minutes. I was in and out so quickly and got to mark that task off my list. Thanks for being there!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I drove here in a blizzard, got here right as they were about to close and the lady locked the door and just shook her head at me. I tried calling several times on my way here and they did not answer. The man next to me said he actually spoke to them on the phone and they told him to come even though he was going to be pushing the time but when he got here they turned him away too. I am absolutely appalled at the terrible customer service and will not be giving them my business in the future. I highly recommend a different location.

Ive only dropped off prepaid packages but they were very helpful allowing me to print off a shipping label that I forgot at home and taping it to my package for me. Even if there is a line it is quick in and out if you have a drop off you can just set it down and they take care of it!

Ive had a mailbox at this location for years and do all of my shipping through them. The staff (especially Emily) and owners are the best to work with. Lol its honestly like when you see the logistics commercials for The UPS Store. They always take care of whatever I throw their way. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

In the past few days Ive shipped everything from household goods to museum pieces in at least twenty substantial size boxes. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable, and efficient. They took great care with my shipments (even though they couldnt guarantee that the hub staff and route drivers would be equally as gentle with the boxes).Parking is in the rear, hand carts are available for heavy boxes, and theyre not afraid of a little heavy lifting if it helps the customer. This is my NEW favorite place!
