They almost always have what I need in stock. The service varies from knowledgeable, to let me see if I can find someone who knows the answer. The prices are OK, sometimes theyre good, others they are too high. The garden center has a ton of plants and amenities for the garden. I enjoy coming here as it is consistent.
I was shuttled around from one dept to the next (after asking for lumber and building supplies) and nobody had a clue what lath strips were. L-A-T-H-E? No, not a lathe, lath. Apparently the guy in the garden center got it right because he was willing to look it up and discovered they were only available online (?). Thanks Redding Home Depot for not employing anybody in Building Supplies with much education on the supply end of things. Maybe lath and plaster isnt all that common anymore, but gimme a break... at least be familiar with the terms.
First employee in the garden center acted like he could care less if I found what I was looking for. Second employee was very helpful. Certain items are only available at the check out lines in the store, not in the section for that product. I wanted to buy some herb plants, the only herb they had is Basel. No Rosmary, thyme, sage, parsley, or celantro. Thats not a garden center.
Pigeons in the garden area need to be removed. Pigeon droppings all over the items I was going to purchase. Cant risk introducing disease into the house with new born baby.
