I was quoted much higher priced components from another very well known local stereo shop, but after meeting Shawn & John at 919 Motoring, it was obvious where i was making this high end purchase from. We noticed that the work initially performed needed a little fix, and he immediately scheduled a day to service the car again. He not only fixed that little issue but reimbursed me what I had initially paid for an amplifier that was not needed. Since the first moment we talked, he suggested upgrading the stock speakers on a Highlander XLE for some Focals. They sound just great! Excellent Work. The truck I bought came with a Remote Start that was an old piece of junk and very poorly installed. I had a lot of concerns. I took the truck to 919Motoring and they really helped me. 919 removed the old system, repaired the wiring and then installed a new remote start system. The new system is much better with up to date fobs, it works great. When talking to John and Shaun you can tell right away these guys know exactly what they are talking about. They are experts and the workmanship shows. I would not hesitate to go back when needed.

Great service! I emailed a while back hoping to replace the radio in my vehicle with a touchscreen interface featuring Apple CarPlay. Email responses were super prompt, the pricing was transparent, and getting my appointment scheduled was easy. The installation took a little longer than initially stated, but no real harm there. Went there due to buying a car and having Compustar issues. I was able to see the mess that was in the dash of my car. They were able to get it up and running and remote start working properly. The system is now properly integrated with my factory alarm and remote starts as if it were meant to be. Would recommend for everyone!

Day 1 Honest Review: I recently bought a 21 Accord and I was looking to upgrade the speaker system. I intially went to a different audio shop and they didnt do the best job. HOWEVER, when I went to 919 Motoring they not only fixed the job of the other shop, but helped me upgrade my audio system to pretty close to what I had invisioned in my mind. When I intially went in to 919 Motoring, they werent pushy at all. They showed me what they had to offer. They demod a few speakers for me (Not all audio shops did this for me). They actually came outside to asess my vehicle. (This is big for me, many shops will blindly quote you things without actually taking a look at the car). In terms of pricing, it was more on the pricey side (definitely not the most expensive). BUT I can honestly say that you get what you pay for when it comes to audio. This is only day one of having the upgrade, but I am pretty happy with it. As long as thing continue to sound how they do today, I am only going to have 919 Motoring work on my other vehicles.

I reached out to this place based on the overwhelming positive reviews it got. All my calls and emails were answered quickly and with answers to all of my questions and concerns. They did a custom install in a 2006 Mini Cooper S Convertible (R52) where they replaced the single din radio. I wanted two things - Apple CarPlay and a backup camera. After guidance from them - I went with a Sony AX8000. This allowed for a full screen install into a single din slot. The installation was a bit more complex - but I knew that going. They did an outstanding job with installation of everything. They even talked me out of a couple things that would have led to a much more expensive build. I really respect what they did and the professional advice they gave. I couldnt be any more happier with work done.

This place is first rate. The best in the business. I had two high end stereos put in. One in a corvette and one in a Porsche 911. They were both custom subs with amazing gear. The sound is tremendous. For the second install the head was malfunctioning, they ordered another one and put it in. Works perfect. However it did not sound the same. Went back and they explained every last detail to me. It took an hour. They really wanted me to understand and this was above and beyond what they could have done. I recommend this place without any hesitation. If you go any where else, you will be disappointed if you do not give 919 Motoring a chance. You will not be disappointed!!!

I got my 2015 f150 done here and Blake and Tommy did a great job. I ended up spending more than I wanted, but I am very happy with the results and do not regret it for a second. They were happy to answer any questions I had and explain the process of what they were doing to me. After installation I had a few questions and wanted something tweaked a little bit to suite me better. They were very quick to respond to my questions and let me go right in when it was convenient and quickly made the adjustment needed. They might not be the cheapest around but they know what they are doing and doing good work, I would recommend them and use them again.

Sean has done 3 cars for us - all installations of on-board front and rear cameras. Did it for our Tesla, our BMW X3 and our Jaguar F-Type. To say he does quality work would be an understatement. These are not car people, they are just in the business to make a buck. Will not make the extra effort to ensure a smooth process. Make sure you know what youre talking about. Wasted my time on a work day because they didnt have a voltage step down (A/C adapter) and just stared at me when I couldnt find the original part. The one I had didnt have a long enough cable. Told me to go to best buy to try and find one.They didnt even have a plan when routing the cable, not intention of looking at the cars wiring or any documentation on a car they admitted to not knowing much about. They were just going to tear into my power supply without considering what the best course of action would be.If you care about your car at all, dont let these amateurs touch it. A drunk monkey wouldnt be as sloppy as these guys, and wouldnt reek of cigarettes either. Very happy I got mine out of there and to an actual professional before they started any real work.

I hired 919 Motoring to install a remote start/alarm system in my car this past summer. Due to a firmware issue, the A/Cs cooling mechanism did not turn on when the car was started remotely using the cell phone application. Shaun and Tommy did the research and made the necessary installation adjustments to solve the problem. I now have a remote start system that works well, allowing my car to cool in the summer and heat in the winter. I highly recommend this shop for remote start and alarm installations.

I actually didnt have anything done at 919, simply because it wasnt necessary. I took a different route. I purchased all of my car stereo components online and thoroughly tore up my carpet and interior and did the install myself. Much to my dismay the system just didnt work right. Surprise. I mean, I bought top-of-the-line stuff so it should work. Right? Anyway, I didnt catch the gents name who helped me, but after seeing the positive reviews on Google I decided to pay 919 a visit.Even though he didnt sell me the components, he worked through the install process with me and identified my problem. One speaker connection was out of phase, which basically threw off everything. He even printed out the head unit wiring diagram for me before sending me on my way. If I ever have a need for car audio stuff in the future, I will definitely be paying 919 another visit. It isnt too often that one receives customer service of this caliber these days.

Shaun was able to very quickly identify the product I needed to integrate my iPhone on an older vehicles OEM audio system. Pricing was reasonable and install was very well executed and timely. Definitely would recommend Shaun to anyone looking to upgrade their car. This was the second time I have gone back, the first was to get a new stereo and this time was to get new speakers. I told them my budget and they gave me several options and I definitely dont regret going with what they showed me, my car now sounds like im at a concert. Shaun told me I wouldnt need rear speakers after installing this system, and I gotta say i was skeptical at first, but holy hell was he right my system is insane.

Cant speak highly enough about Shaun and Caleb over at 919 motoring. Knowledgeable, honest, and most importantly good guys. Had an issue with front car sensors they installed (my issue was based on personal preference, moreso than any functionality issues), and Shaun researched and offered to pay for an additional part to remedy the problem even though the issue was not caused by his negligence, but by an odd decision by the front sensor manufacturer. I also went back to have my audio system wiring corrected from a previous job by another audio installer, and will definitely do business with them in the future. These guys stand by their work.

Talked to Shaun before I made the appointment. He explained everything regarding the installation over the phone. These guys let you bring your own part (unlike some others who will only install the parts they sell) and install it for you. The warranty is on the installation only (as it should be). I bought my audio adapter from Crutchfield and Shaun didnt have any technical issues installing it. If youre bringing your own part, I suggest you buy it new as youll get the Warranty with your purchase. Shaun told me an hour, but it was done in 30 minutes! Quick and pain free. Also consulted with him about some other video work on the car, which he answered adequately. The shops about 40 minutes away from my place, but it was worth the drive. Good transaction!

This is my second installation at 919, and Shaun did the same great work as he did on my old truck. So far, Shaun has installed two head units, some excellent tweeter upgrades (thanks for giving me back my jazz playlists!), a backup camera, and a remote starter (a grand addition on steamy hot summer day or freezing winter mornings). All delivered on estimate and in a timely manner. Ive had car stereos installed at a couple of big stores, but the experience is nothing like at 919. Shaun visits with you and listens to what you want. Then he makes a couple of recommendations and listens to your response. Fantastic and Professional!!! I recently bought a Mini Cooper and it had the worst stock stereo system Ive ever heard. I took it to Shaun and Tommy at 919 Motoring and they installed the best system Ive ever heard! It easily sounds twice as expensive as it was! I got 3 way components installed in the front and Shaun built a custom box in the back for the sub-woofer, using the existing car jack location, installing a new floor that looks like its original for the car. We recently bought a used 2007 Lincoln stretch limo in Florida and drove it home to North Carolina last week. Imagine our dismay when the high end stereo, which worked fine in Florida, failed in our driveway.The stereo indicated a short in the wiring and would not startup. I tried some rudimentary troubleshooting checking the speakers. I did not feel confident in removing the head and checking the wiring in the back.I found 919 Motoring on Google and they had great reviews. I called Shawn and described the problem. He asked me to bring the limo to his shop in a few hours.I got there and Shawn immediately tasked Curtis to troubleshoot the problem. Curtis had the head out in minutes, like the pro he is. He diagnosed the problem and corrected the issue with some black electrical tape to prevent a troublesome connector from shorting again.Shaun charged me a minimal service fee and its worked like a charm since then and I will certainly consider 919 for future upgrades.

I bought new stereo equipment to replace my stock and not very good system in my 2013 Altima. Before I could begin my install I injured my back at work and have been down for several weeks now. I decided that I would not be able to move sufficiently in the near future to do the install myself so I called Shaun at 919 Motoring after seeing all the positive reviews he had. That turned out to be a blessing as he was great to work with, had competitive pricing and made some suggestions that I had not considered for optimal performance. He did the job at the quoted price and I must say an excellent job at that. The system works beautifully and the placement of the antennas for my navigation and Sirius XM radio were placed to appear as factory stock. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy and in general a great guy. I will be going back for some other items such as auto dimming mirror and some upgrades for my wifes car in the near future. You will not be disappointed with his knowledge or workmanship I promise..I am thrilled with every aspect of my interaction with Shaun and his fine business..

Go somewhere else! 919 Motoring had only 2 head units on display when I visited. They must not want to sell car stereos. The store is pretty much empty besides random boxes, papers, and signage on the floor. The gentleman at the counter was not very knowledgeable about the amount of HD radio stations in Raleigh. He made it seem like there were no HD radio stations when in fact there are plenty. I do not understand how this place received such good reviews. Overall, I was very disappointed and would never recommend this establishment.

Mr. Shawn needs to take with extreme lyrics urgency, a remedial good manners course. I changed my appointments several times because work emergencies..I.went today.and Mr. Shawn told me.in a very disrespectful way that he was loosing money. I won´t reccomend this guy anymore because talking like that to a customer in front of another is super disrespectful. If we were in my country you were presenting apologies in a heart beat. By the way how did you loose? so I could write you a check and take you out of the poverty that you have because of me...that´s what happen when a somebody starts making money...the money goes quickly to your head and don´t let you think...I WONT RECCOMEND THIS GUY TO ANYBODY!!!!!

I have plenty experience with car audio/video as every car (10+) Ive ever owned has had aftermarket AV modifications done. This has led me to dealing with alot of car stereo shops over the years with some good and bad experiences. My problem with 919 is theyre really overpriced on their labor charges. Its at least 30% higher than other shops without any justification. I inquired about a basic install for equipment I purchased and the estimate was for 2.5 to 3 hours of work. Ive had this done on other vehicles for a third of the price at other places. I ended up contacting another shop and got quality same day service for $200 less than 919 offered. If you like spending more money than necessary 919 may be a good option.

I contacted Tommy around 1 Jun 2015 for advice on a non brand DVD/NAV. Needless to say, Tommy and Shaun convinced me of the benefits of purchasing a AVH-X5700BHS. They both were very helpful in finding out my needs and finding the right head unit for my multi amp configuration. About three weeks ago I sent Shaun an email asking for advice on upgrading my stock Mazda 6 stereo. Based on what I was looking for, Shaun recommended the alpine cde 265bt stereo, and quoted me a price for installing everything. The radio runs for $279.99, but I found it at Best Buy for $249.99. Shaun instantly matched this price.As I understand it, with the port strikes on the west coast, most of Shauns suppliers were well behind on his orders. As a result, Shaun was extremely booked, but was able to pencil me in for the 1.5 hour installation quickly after receiving all of the parts he ordered for the installation.His installation was quick, and clean. He even spent some time to walk me through the basic features of my new stereo. The stereo sounds great, and has every feature I was looking for.Overall, Shaun did a great job and was very professional in his communications with me while we awaited my parts to arrive. I ended up needing a new Sirius XM receiver with the installation, and Shaun kept my old one in great shape, once it was removed, and even suggested I list it on Ebay. This, in my opinion, is service that is above and beyond expectations for a simple car radio installation. I would certainly recommend Shaun to anyone looking for any car audio work. He seems very knowledgeable, and provides excellent service.

Shaun and Tommy are great. Shaun spent countless hours working with me on what to install in my 2008 BMW 335xi. We ended up choosing a Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX and it came out great with an OEM look but much better sound/features. Hes extremely responsive via email and the best at what he does in the Raleigh area. In addition to performing a flawless install, 919 stands behind their work. They give you lifetime service on their workmanship. I reviewed Shaun a number of years ago under another account and am leaving him a 2nd review now as I went back to him to replace the head unit in my new car. I only had the ability to update the original review - given this is a completely new install, I felt it warranted a separate review. I will continue to give him my business in the future as well.

Researched installers and this one got the best reviews. Installed a new Pioneer touchscreen and CCD backup camers. Tommy and Shaun are representative of the best there is to offer in every category. I am an Engineer by profession and very picky about the equipment and the professional manner of installation. This install was in my Tahoe and it all works beautifully and looks great. i am planning to install an additional 3000.00 or so speakers, amp, and subwoofer. Their pricing is very competitive with internet prices and in some cases actually cheaper. When it comes time for the additional install i will not be shopping around or calling anyone else. That statement alone says it all for me.

I found 919 motoring off of google i read all the reviews and i didnt see a single negative one so i went with what everyone else was saying about the company and called I had let Shawn know that i had a navi system that was originally installed into my car but the dealership i got the car from took it out because they said it didnt work he told me to come in that exact same day and had it installed and working in 30 minutes and he practically charged me nothing for it. That was January 1st 2014. He had me back in 30 days wanting more stuff put into my car because of the amazing customer service i received and the great prices that he charges.So i just had subwoofers, amp, and a back up camera installed i havent even had my car back for an hour and I love all of it, all ready! I brought in my subs and amp and after hooking everything up he had me come to the back to listen to my subs and let me know that well they were blown :-( which was very upsetting, but him being the nice guy he is gave me a great deal on two new subs and a box and of course i had no choice but to take it. I had also previously called him about putting in an alarm system, I have one in the car but it was what the previous owner had installed so i had no clue if it worked or not. Well sure enough Shawn got it to work no problem at all. I had a huge smile on my face the whole way home. i feel like a little girl that just got a pony.Thanks Shawn!!I recommend 919 motoring to ANYONE who wants sound or security installed into their car especially if you want nice, honest, and knowledgeable customer service with great prices.
