GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I’ve had Smart Start interlock device for 60 days and I’ve had four malfunctions with the device including two that shut my car engine down in the middle of traffic. While cars speeding past me and laying on their horn, made me realize the company has a very dangerous device. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!

The guys at the shop are friendly but the device itself is horrible. It constantly gives false positive tests, prompts to to blow harder then softer then longer. You can blow into the device and it will prompt “please retry”. If you have to have one of these devices installed, be prepared to have a back up vehicle or method of transportation.

The customer service is great! But Im still trying to figure out how you can fail and then blow again and it passes... On Christmas day my son took my truck to go see his grandmother. He blew to start the truck 5 mins later he blows and fails? So now this is twice and I have to have this in my truck for a yr. Granted I was refunded for the first violation but lets see about this one.

Do not use this company. Their devices are faulty I have had to bring my car in miss work because it keep locking me out. Recently gave me a violation for when I was not evening in the car. They are a scam. There are other options. Also the device will drain your battery. If I dont drive for two days I have to jump my car. I tell them this everytime a they look at me like oh well. Awful customer service. Little kids very unprofessional

Id consider thier customer service average, I will state that they dont care if youre having financial problems. They will refuse service and then let device service lock and charge you late fees plus an unlock fee. Then they continue to charge you for service even though your device is locked and cant operate your vechicle to go to work to earn money. When you do get the 70 dollars for service you now magically owe smart start over 200 dollars, and they refuse service again. They act like the seventy dollars will make them bankrupt if they dont recieve it

Mostly a great serviceability model. Having multiple locations is great. The hard part ive experienced is the continuity and consistency on the hours per location. I see one location has it listed 8-12 and open again 1-5, accounting for a 1 hour lunch period. I would like to see each location commit to a set lunch hour as opposed to the existing flex approach unknown to the public. Also, I feel there should be a last appointment is allowed at 5 for a 5:30 closing banner listed on each sites webpage so that I dont show up again at 4:58 (with a committed closing time of 5:30) only to be turned away because they werent taking any more calibrations. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because on that day, they werent working on any other cars, they just didnt want to take my business that Friday and decided to close shop. I would have put 3 stars because ive been shafted three times during a modified lunch hour, but I really cant blame them for taking off since theres no public announcement for the final appointment of the day. Plus, it was Friday, I get it :-)As for @kenvanallen89 s comment from a year ago. Come on man... Dont act like you dont understand what a for-profit business needs to do in order to remain in business. Not having money to pay for your service is not their fault.

Of course this place sucks but the guys that work there deal with some crazy rude people and still managed to be nice. To me at least. They are just doing their job and you have to respect that.
