Want to take a moment to shout out my salesman, Seth. He was SO great! I went to Sir Walter just to test drive a certain vehicle, not looking to actually buy. When it turned out the car I test drove wasnt what I wanted, he immediately found my perfect car based on my feedback. I had not visited Sir Walter Chevrolet in awhile but thought after purchasing my 96 Grand Sport Id make them the sole source for servicing my vehicle. Made the appt online for flushing all fluids and diagnostic work on the computer. As I was checking in I was told that my car was too old for them to service. Really? Too old? So what youre telling me and everyone else is that if your car is older than 10 yrs dont bother considering Sir Walter Chevrolet for any service work. Now I remember why I stopped going to Sir Walter in the first place. Wont be seeing my 96 Grand Sport or my 2011 Carbon ZO6.

2 parts to this bad review and I will start out by saying straight forward they lost a customer today and I will NEVER set foot on their lot again and will do everything I can to have people NOT shop here.Part #1.I purchased my 2018 Chevrolet Colorado here back in September 2018. I have been a loyal service customer ever since. Had everything I needed done to my truck done here and have always talked very well about this dealership. Dont know what changed since then but lately that has changed but the service quality and customer service is seriously lacking. Back in June I had an oil change and inspection done. They charged me for the inspection and never performed the inspection. Called there to get an answer and the service tech (Cody) was super rude and acted like he didnt know what he was talking about. Trusting them I made a secondary appointment for the inspection the service tech made it known that they charged me for it and didnt actually do the work.Part #2Knowing the trade in value of trucks in the market in September 2021 I decided to shop around and get values on my truck. I went to 3 other dealers to get values before stopping over to where I purchased my truck and had all the service done to my truck and the dealership that sent me a letter offering to buy my truck. They literally insulted me by offering me $5000 dollars less for my vehicle than the the other 3 dealerships did. Its terribly obvious that they thought I was stupid and didnt know the value of my vehicle in this market and tried to super low ball me. I know I am only one customer and in this market of Sept.2021 car dealers really do NOT care about 1 customer but they lost me for sure.

I did not have the best experience with this dealership. I had my heart set on one vehicle. I was excited to find it at a location that could assist with shipping. Aaron reached out to me and we started the process. In the beginning he seemed pretty nice, then he became very pushy and borderline rude. I simply asked for a break down of the price. The more questions I asked the more I realized that he was not being 100% transparent with me. I decided that I would try another location and brushed it off. What really made me upset was his last comment. He said “ I completely understand, Ill let my team know to proceed with our second customer - sorry that $792 caused the hiccup at the end. Good luck on your search and thanks for reaching out! 🙂” $792? That was VERY insulting. Are you saying $792 is nothing to you and a lot for me? What exactly did that comment mean?! No, it’s not about $792. That’s not the issue. The issue is him trying to rush me into a purchase without fully disclosing what I’m paying for down to the cent. A manager called me and it felt like he was justifying the situation saying he put the package together. A lot of the “accessories” seem unnecessary and another way to hike up the price. Either way I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing anything with this dealership. If you’re going to shop here go in person because online shopping would not be in your best interest.

You also went above and beyond by giving me a shuttle ride home with a service team member even though I failed to give you advanced notice of my need and your regular driver has retired. I saw Sir Walters had one on its website so I gave a call. I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms.Elizeth through the phone and quickly checked for the truck I was interested in. I called to set up a transaction to purchase a brand new SUV. After going all the way through setting up all the needed info with my bank, getting the check ready since I was under the impression that the SUV was going to be there the same week, I was then told the vehicle was still about 2 weeks out. I offered to put $1,000 down to hold the vehicle (like most other dealers are doing) and I was told they needed the full amount up front and that if I didn’t sign the paperwork the vehicle would still be available to others, even after I already had the check in hand. During this time I also got a text from the salesman asking if I ready the papers yet, I explained to him that I got them but had not had a chance to read them yet and I was at a doctors appointment in regards to possible BREAST CANCER, and the finance department STILL called right after I sent the text and demanded I let them know if I wanted the vehicle, and that I needed to signed the papers right now. The GM was NO better and was extremely rude over the phone. I am not in NEED of a vehicle, so I will take my check else where.... I do not recommend this dealership at all!

This was the second new car my wife and I bought since moving to Raleigh six years ago and the third time we got to the financing stage of car buying.The first two experiences (at other unnamed dealerships) were miserable. I walked out of one of them seconds before signing the financing forms. I ended up buying a car I liked, but the experience was tainted with an aggressive and pushy person I did not like working with. When I came to Sir Walter, I was hesitant to risk going through that mess again. But I am glad I did!The folks at Sir Walter were awesome! I got the exact truck I wanted. I didnt get hassled. And I am totally satisfied with what I paid for a truck I love driving. The salesman had a very wholesome charm about him, and the financing guy was all business and understood my position.Car buying methods have changed since my grandfathers generation. Haggling and harassment is no longer the norm, and the staff at Sir Walter understands that. I will start my next vehicle search with them, or like minded dealerships.

Gotta be honest, love these guys. I am from the Chicagoland area, my truck had a major issue. Limped it in to these guys on a Saturday no less and within 45 min I had a diagnosis, I needed a TCM. VERY lucky they had the part. I drive a 2500 GMC Diesel Denali, they whipped me up faster than a homemade pie and I was on my way. My son has bought a few cars there recently and when he realized how overwhelmed I was with trying to decide what type of vehicle that I wanted, he brought me into the dealership. I was out of their complete with financing at a great rate within a few hours. Dana called me personally this morning to set up my return visit to install my sunroof. He also volunteered to explain any of the technical electronics that I’m struggling with like the radio, phone connection etc. when I come back in he did even pair my phone before I left! Was miss informed and told Id have a ride service take me back to work. This however turned out not to be the case. Ended up having to waste my lunch break driving to the dealership to then learn I would not have a ride back to work after dropping my truck off. Was going into shop with a flat tire and oil change. Since I did not have a ride back to work had to reschedule the appointment which was a week out. Had to drive around with an oil light on and a low tire for an additional week because of the false promises from your company. Asked for a new tire not a repair since I use the truck for hauling. That was denied. Had to pay for tire repair even though I have a warranty on my tires. Overall very bad experience. Also still have not received my spare key from the dealership on my brand new truck.

When I got home from picking up my car, I discovered the technician had not reset the settings so the notification is still on saying I need an oil change and for my tires to be rotated. I now have to make another trip back so they can fix that.

For the first time in over 35 years I’m disappointed with Chevrolet. Not that it’s Sir Walter’s fault though. I recently had an airbag replaced (recall) and I had to sign a waiver in case the dash is cracked(red flag). Never had to sign a waiver before plus I had the dash replaced 2 years ago on my Avalanche. Now I have to replace again out of my pocket. The annoying part is that the mechanic moved my air freshener right over the crack to hide it. I’ll be in the market for a new truck but keeping my 2012 Avalanche that is in mint condition (or was) but I’m seriously thinking of purchasing another make. Not to mention my son has lost hope in Chevy now so that’s 2 in one family from one depressing visit. Again, not Sir Walter but Chevrolet let me down.

Finance department is a joke. I let them know ahead of time that Id be financing through my bank, they stated they could get me a better interest rate so I let them run my credit. Better interest difference was .01% after three inquiries, so I called my bank and got it even lower. They magically were able to match the lower interest after running my credit four more times offering the same as my bank. I also was told that they would match or beat a competitors trade-in value on my previous car, then they refused to match it once I brought the paperwork from elsewhere.Sales team was great! Took their time to talk with me about options in the vehicles I was looking at, didnt pressure me once which I highly appreciate, and were extremely friendly and accommodating with every question or request I had. 100% would not have bought my car here if it wasnt for Greg. I drove a total of 288 miles to get this vehicle ONLY because of the amazing customer service from the sales team.

I have gotten my oil changes here as this was dealer I purchased from and the price for an oil change & tire rotation is competitive.The cons:1. Takes 1.5 - 2.5 hours to perform the service with an appointment2. Apps and emails for customer information throughout the process are not utilized by service technicians. Also, was never told these were not updated so got concerned when I had waited an hour realized I had an (apparently automatic email) stating my expected completion time was 8 hours after appointment time and the app had only progressed my service to checked in.3. Previous service got an email after asking if I wanted to schedule service as discussed with technician. Technician never discussed any issues or additional services needed with me.

I came in for an oil change and ended up needing multiple other services done to my vehicle. Michael was very informative and made sure all my needs were met while in for service! However, I was disappointed at the stain or markings left on the passenger seat of my car. Assuming it came from someones hand as the same markings were on the drivers side door handle, but at least that is easier to clean than the fabric.

My car started having problems on 9/6/21 Labor Day. Everything was closed for the holiday. I arranged to have my car towed to this dealership location without even being able to speak to anyone. I purchased my car from them in 2018 and I have continued to do scheduled maintenance at this location, because of the superior customer service.Fast forward, Tuesday 9/7/21, I called and spoke with Tyler, to notify him that my car was in route to their location, via tow, and I needed them to take a look at it. Without hesitation Tyler eased my mind that as soon as it arrived they would look at it and let me know what the problem was. Within a few minutes he text me that my car had arrived, and he would keep my posted on the status. Within a few hours he text me the mechanics recommendations and we proceeded with the repairs. Tyler informed me that the part would not be available until 9/8/21, but as soon as it arrived they would get started. On 9/8/21, at 9:30am, I received a a call from Tyler that my car was ready! They open at 7:30 am so I assume my car was the first on the list! I picked my car up at 3:30 and its driving like new. I cant thank them enough for not only squeezing my car into their busy schedule (on short notice) and fixing it within less than 24 hours! This is just another reason that I will continue to entrust my service needs at this location!

Brought my car in to have them look at my Passenger window that quit working, and the door lock on the rear passenger door that was not working. They wanted 140 for each issue’s diagnostic. Just decided to fix the main issue which was the window function. Had to leave out of town and i work 12’s so i was able to pick it up about 2 weeks later. I went and drove around some errands about 20miles after picking it up. I go to drive it the next morning and it wont fire. It turns but never starts. I call and they tell me i have to get it to them and i will have to pay another diagnostic fee. I told them that i would like them to look because it was fine when i left it and less than 12 hrs after picking it up it doesnt work. Service rep says “ I’m sorry for you BUT, the diagnostic would be on you as what we worked on had nothing to do with the car starting” i told them I wont be coming back in good conscious if you cant work with me, again im told “sorry for you”I normally dont fear a shop giving me a run around but, i now have problems that i didnt show up with….. its a 2009 Impala with 78kmiles this car is clean. Yall are not getting any referrals from me

Not even sure where to begin. I took my car here for two visits in one -the first and the last. I have driven a Chevy for the last ten years and have always taken it to the dealership service department for maintenance. I relocated recently so thought I would try out Sir Walter for a simple maintenance visit, and asked them to run a diagnostic while there. The staff was unhelpful when I checked in, and turns out they charge you separately for each system they test during that diagnostic test. I get a call later in the day that my car is literally in an undriveable and dangerous condition, with repairs of upward of $2000 necessary for its survival. They told me I had an oil leak and messed up spark plugs, and when I got there to pick up the vehicle, they were telling another customer the exact same thing (the other customer was also not pleased). I took my car in to a different service shop today for a second opinion, literally everything I learned at this dealership that was “wrong” with my car was in perfect condition, and my car was perfectly safe and able to be driven; down to the fact that my oil had no leak and some of the standard maintenance they suggested wasn’t even necessary. This situation felt quite extreme, since the actual service necessary on my vehicle cost less than the price of running the diagnostic with Sir Walter. I have literally not left a bad or negative review for a business in my life. Everyone has off days; this, however, was unethical and unacceptable. Be wary if you come here, and ALWAYS get a second opinion if you do... especially if they pull the old oil leak and spark plug bit on you- a misdiagnosis too dangerous for them to be misapplying like this.

I had a leak coming from the roof of my car where my rear view mirror is. I bought my car in to be looked at I was told it could take up to 2 days to determine where the leak is coming from. That seemed a little much but I needed to get my windshield looked at. I was told to leave it there and I will get a call when it is done. I recieved a call the same day. The guy told me they couldnt do anything and that I would need to go to a auto body shop. And that I would be charged $50 for them looking at the problem. I asked what kind of tests did they do and he told me it was just a visual examination. I feel I have got ripped off my problem was not solved and I was not given any possible solution. I do not plan to come back to this location or refer anyone else.

I booked my appointment thru the website. Once I drove in, there was a technician already there to greet me. We discussed what my issue was and then directed me to the waiting area. After the diagnostic test was done, he discussed with me what was wrong in detail and showed me the bill. I had a warranty and showed him the paperwork. He said he would call to see if anything would be covered. Moments later he came back and said that one of the items would be covered. I agreed to get everything that was recommended to be fixed. Maybe 45 minutes later, my car was done. I was the dealership for a total of 2 hours maybe, if that. I was highly impressed with the turnaround time it took to have my car repaired. I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of like I often do at dealerships and car repair shops because I am a Woman. I will recommend this dealership to everyone I know.. it was best experience Ive had in years..

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE .. I DROPPED MY CAR OFF ON A MONDAY AND RECIEVED IT BACK ON A THURSDAY ....I DIDNT RECEIVE ANY UPDATES ON MY XAR THE WHOLE TIME WHILE IN THEIR CARE ,WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK UP ON MY CAR THEY HAD NO ANSWERS EVERYTIME ...THEN ONCE I RECEIVE MY CAR BACK THEY TELL ME IT WAS THE WIRES AN THEY CHANGED THEM BUT COULDNT TELL ME WHAT THE WIRES WERE CALLED OR WHAT THEY REALLY CONTROLLED ...NOT TO MENTUON NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY RADIO BEFORE I DROPPED IT OFF ..NOW MY RADIO DOESNT TURN UP AN DOWN AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR IT

I arrived at the service center on Friday at 9:10am.I walked into the service area and a guy told me someone would be with me shortly. As I’m waiting at 9:25 another vehicle arrives and is assisted before me and that’s when the service guy noticed me waiting and he decided to assist me at 9:28 am. I then proceeded to tell the service rep my tire pressure light was on and he notified me that they will check all of that and also rotate my tires because it was included in the oil change. He also stated that it would be 1 hour 30 mins for waiting and I said that was fine. At 11am my vehicle was ready I had noticed it come back in the service area. As im waiting I received a notification per my Chevy app that I had the same low pressure tire. I waited 10-15mins before someone came and said my vehicle was ready and noticed it was still running. I proceeded to tell the service rep that the tires wasn’t rotated nor was my tire pressure adjusted in any of my tire . The service rep checked the dash to see the tire pressure and seen the exact reading I was getting on my phone . He then tells me that they did rotate the tires and I asked why was my truck still running so he turns it off and takes the keys and says let him go check something. I waited another 3-5 mins. The rep returns with a tire pressure checker and I stated to him that’s not gonna fix the issue of the tires not being rotated or the same exact tire still low on air. I requested I be checked out and asked for a supervisor name, he proceeded to check me out and never apologized. As I’m on my way home I called and left a message for the supervisor to contact about the issue. When he finally returned my call he told me they did rotate my tires and I explained the same exact statement to him that I told the rep. He stated that I could bring the vehicle back and they will rotate them. No apology or anything to accommodate me for being there 2 hours and paying for a service that wasn’t completed. This is the second bad experience I’ve had at this location with the service department. I’ve tried to give you’ll another chance but this is ruining it. It’s the fact that no one was apologizing about me waiting at the very beginning of my visit or the issue of me paying for a service that wasn’t fully completed.
