10/10 Customer service here is absolutely phenomenal! I mistakenly typed in my address wrong when ordering a pair of climbing shoes and immediately after letting them know the package hadn’t shown up, they sent me a new pair for free which arrived only three days later. They were so quick to get back to me and very kind and patient over the phone. The shoes were in perfect condition and climb great, will definitely be ordering from them again!!

Great customer service! I accidentally ordered the wrong item and, because they got it shipped so fast, I had to work with OMC to try intercepting and rerouting the shipment. OMC contacted 3 different USPS offices to reroute my package and resolved my issue with a return and exchange the same day. Thanks!!

I appreciate the friendly staff, who have a wealth of knowledge and expertise. They have a great selection of reliable brands. Their prices are the same as the major competitors, and you can support a local shop. Ill be shopping here for my summer and winter gear.

I made the mistake of waiting to long to buy Ski crampons...my bad. Luckily OMC gear had them in stock. I ordered them online, emailed customer service, asked if they would please over night them to me. Justin, in customer service, got back to me on a Saturday and switched my shipping to overnight on a Sunday. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Being a climber and mountaineer based in the suburbs of Portland for my whole life, I was surprised I hadnt heard of this place. I was so excited when I encountered it on the internet (thanks covid) when looking for very specific trail running shoes.I couldnt find the shoes anywhere and they appeared to have them. I was bummed to find out that they were in fact sold out of them, however the way they handled the situation was incredibly professionally and personally. They called me and followed up with an email and offered for me to pick a different shoe at no cost. This is how customer service should be handled.I can hardly wait to make it to the store in person. Would defiantly recommend online orders from them as they have done right by me in a situation where they could have easily just said tough luck.

Very, very, very knowledgeable staff. I think I had approximately 800 questions and Sven answered all of them. The info was unbiased and extremely helpful.Im sure he could have squeezed a few more dollars out of me, but he earned a repeat customer instead. It would have been nice if the selection was a but larger, but they had enough.

Very helpful staff, took the time to explain gear in a non-d bag way that is so common with ski shops. Prices are average with the occasional awesome sale. Worth considering when looking at the other big shops in the area.

Generally a good store, but they sell Canada Goose jackets. Canada Goose kills wild coyotes and wolves with steel leg traps just to get some trim for their hoods. OMC ignored my concerns about their store participating in animal abuse and didnt seem to care much, probably because the Canada Goose jackets are a high-dollar item that brings in money. I cant recommend this place, but Id change my review if they were to stop selling CG.

I went in for the first time earlier today to try and some Salomon boots and received excellent customer service from Sven. Although I didnt make the purchase, ill certainly return to Oregon Mountain Community in the near future. The store had a very laid-back relaxed atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sven even gave me some hiking tips for Mount Hood.

Great sales prices, but not the best storefront. I get that they do most of their business online, but there is so much potential there. They could be killing it. Overall good experience. Thx!

OMC is the place to go in portland for ski gear, and their rock climbing selection is pretty great too. The staff really know what theyre doing (unlike some other places in town), and theyre the only ones Id trust to work on my skis and give me solid advice on gear.

Spent a week looking for a new climbing helmet and after trips to several stores for the same ugly colored 3 types called OMC and they had the one I found online in stock in a basic sane color. When I showed up as the gal rang it up she was checking if it was on sale I mentioned I saw it on sale online and presto she matched it. I hadnt bought anything there for quite a while but I will certainly be back again soon.

I ordered some La Sportiva Spitfires on Amazon and they were shipped from Oregon Mountain Community. I loved them while they lasted but they ended up breaking on the 4th use... OMC set me up with a return and a stiffer pair of Spectre boots within an hour of emailing them. They gave me a great deal on the upgrade too! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Also Bennett is the man!

They dont stand behind what they sell. Once you pay for something, you are on your own. I bought a $320 pair of heavy duty Lowa boots there. On the first day-hike the leather failed and I had deep gouges and peeling rand. When I went back to OMC they suggested that I buy a tube of urethane and glue them back together or that I go sell them used to Next Adventure. After some pressing, they agreed that they could send them back to Lowa under the warranty but that they werent sure that it would be covered and that Id be without boots for at least 4 weeks. My friends have all pointed out that if Id bought the boots at REI they would have taken them back no questions asked. Ive learned two very expensive lessons, 1) Go somewhere that stands behind what they sell. 2) The leather on a La Sportiva Pamir is vastly superior to whatever Lowa is using.
