A non pretentious gun store. The guys working there like their jobs and arent there to push something on you to make a buck.07/26/21 This little shop is still going strong and inventory not looking bad except some of the popular ammo. Ammo sells out fast as they get it. Walt is one of the proprietors, fairly knowledgeable and friendly most of the time.

Knowledgeable and friendly guys. Its a refreshing change from the attitude you can get at some of the places around. Im always learning and they patiently answered all my questions. Ive been back multiple times due to the level of customer service and the prices.

I have been dealing with these guys since they opened. Easy and affordable firearm transfers and competitive pricing compared to the big retailers. They also have a good stock of used, hard to find guns as well which is always fun to just stop by and see what they got. Good place to pick up magazines and ammo and they are conveniently located in Portland. Definitely will continue to support this local gun shop. Oh...did I mention the owners are cool, down to earth, and very knowledgeable and they love what they do. Highly recommend.

Friendly service and had exactly what I needed

I have shopped around and I have found Big Iron Armory to be my best option for buying new firearms in Portland. Their prices are good, the service is solid, no-drama, straightforward. I trust these guys.

Great Selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

An unassuming incarnation of the Fine Local Gun Shop, run by friendly and knowledgeable folks who also live in the neighborhood. They focus less on maintaining a large on-site inventory and more on being able to source gear from their distributor network at competitive prices. However, there are a good selection on hand of items better suited for personal and home defense, which apparently is what a notable portion of their customer base is interested in. With that said, their website offers a what you see is what you can get catalog, and as I believe that these kinds of purchases should involve thought and time, their business model is something I can appreciate. Anyway, I had a great conversation with the folks at Big Iron Armory on my last visit, and I plan on returning soon.

Real knowledgeable guys with big plans for their shop. They just started up but know what they’re doing. Down to earth and will help with anything needed. Not much inventory as of right now but after speaking with them they’re gonna have great good quality stuff, and yes they do anything ffl related.

Had to fix review Noah is very nice guy we sat and talked I just decided to go into a different direction and wanted to sell my gun I have had trouble so I thought the gun was not worth it but I talked to Noah he was willing to find something else if I wanted great people

Was surprised that there was a gun store near me. At least I didnt have to go all the way out to NW Armory or Oregon Rifleworks to process a transfer. Friendly and knowledgeable employees.
