Would be 0 if I could.. I will never step foot in a Ron Tonkin affiliated dealership again, and I will work hard so that no one I love will either. In short, I was wronged, deceived and duped into buying a used vehicle that had frame rust that was so bad, it was unsafe. In fact it had been covered in bondo, and painted to look clean.When I went back and urged them to make it right they would not recuperate my losses. Granted, I was offered a high trade for the vehicle--but it still resulted in me losing almost 6k$ by the end. I took the trade for fear I would take bigger losses elsewhere, where it wasnt their problem. I ended up trading up, and though I like the new vehicle, I am saddled with a bigger payment and sweltering debt from their initial mistake. Tonkin, youre just lucky Im too nice to take you to court. Boo Ron, you let me down. Run from this dealership, they are unethical, money hungry pirates.

Went for an oil change. Had an appointment and they got me right in and out of there in a fair amount of time. Will definitely go back.

When I was there I was there to get an oil change and I got it but it took almost 2 hours its supposed to be the express lane. Then they said my car was ready and I go out the back door Im on crutches so I went out the back door only not to find my car. Then a young lady came running out the door and says oh mr. Smith your cars out in front Ill go get it for you and thank goodness she did because it was about a block away I was not impressed with a customer service.. - Im almost out of my service contract once thats gone Ill be dealing with someone else.

My service writer, Cristina, had a few missteps. You could tell that she was newer, but she recovered well: 5 stars.One comment about auto service that I have heard recently elsewhere, but also heard here: The only specials are those that we have advertised on our website. If your dealership is running a coupon or special, dont make the client ask for it. And sure as heck dont make him look it up on his phone after you have been specifically asked if there is a special on a desired service. I know that it is a business practice thing since it is pervasive. The bad taste of being told to go look it up yourself overrides the joy of getting a small discount or any positives of a job done well: 3 stars.

I wanted to get my 1989 Toyota 4Runner back up to snuff after sitting for two years. Baby has been Tonkin maintained since I bought it in 96 and has run perfectly. This service has made it run as usual, great!

I had to get a part for a car I was servicing. So I called before I got to the parts counter and the staff was able to help. When I arrived parking lot was full but one of the technician helped me to find a closer parking spot. When I went inside the cashier was making sure that all customers was in the right line. She told me to go straight to the parts counter. After I got there the part was waiting for me. I was out in a shorter amount of time than expected. Good job.

These people dont know what they are doing at all. 5 times in this place and my pickup came out worse then it was before. Dont use them!!!!!

Was just shopping around, and you know how that is, high pressure sales and relentless sales people, but I spoke with Miranda a finance manager. She was very helpful answering all my questions, getting me quotes and showing me vehicles. Never pressured me and provided me with quotes on paper for me to take home and compare. All in all a pleasant experience. Cant say you will have the same, but I would ask for Miranda if youre just shopping and want to ask questions without pressure.

Please dont waste your time here, just another standard dealership that tries to hoodwink you and make the sale.

Great place! A little pricey but they didnt pressure me to purchase anything I hadnt planned on. The waiting area is nice. There was a gentleman who was delightful. I think his name was Evan. Very friendly. They sent me a video to watch that showed them servicing my vehicle. Took a little longer than I expected but they did a thorough job. I would recommend it unless you are in a hurry or on a budget.

This dealership consistently posts spam to Portland’s online marketplaces (Facebook, CL). Just bad business practice. I can only imagine what illegitimate repairs/deals they swing.... seems like a red flag to me.

Visited the Mazda portion (it shares a building with the Honda section) and enjoyed the whole experience of buying a Mazda 3 for my wife, except for the very end and signing papers. The salesman we worked with, Scott, took cues from my wife and knew when to let a subject die or go unspoken. Signing paperwork, the manager just would not let go of selling us a large extended warranty. We are signing to get the car and he will not take no for an answer. Tarnished the entire experience talking with 1 manager for what was supposed to be 10 minutes that turned into 30. Love the car and the salespeople, just beware of the final process.

Dont have a great experience bringing a work truck in here for my husband that is his daily driver. We constantly had to call and ask if they were working on it. Didnt even start until after 3 days of calling and even then they didnt even fix the problem.

Service department is terrible. Been there several times with my vehicle and they can not tell me what is wrong with it. They kept it for almost a week at one point. Still nothing.Took it to a Mopar repair shop. They told me within hours what was wrong.

Still using old sales tactics! Super stressful! I was there all day. Started off the day switching sales guys. I had 4 sales people. Then the office folks. Lots of lies and failed promises. Felt taken advantage of. I didnt get what I wanted. And I knew better but they worked it, even when I gave them chances to make it right. I was told Id get a car wash and full tank of gas when I brought my car in for service. When I returned my car was filthy and on empty. (BTW bran new car 2019) To top that off they parked my car in the lot and I couldnt find it. They should have brought it to me or parked it in front of the office bare minimum.

Awesome for auto check ups etc! There was a little pressure to buy certain things on the spot but after stating I wanting to think about it they were not as focused on that.

I prefer Broadway Toyota. Tonkin wanted to sell me a brand new tire for $175. One regular car tire! It had a leak. I took it to Les Schwab and they fixed the tire for free.

Bought my truck at Tonkin Toyota 6 years ago and it was time for us to replace our 2nd vehicle. Found a few cars we were interested in online and exchanged emails and communications with Kareem. Went to the dealership and looked at a car as well as a test drive. Kareem was very professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. Most of all he was not a pushy salesperson and thats what made a big deal for me. Unfortunately we found a different vehicle at a different dealership but I would still recommend Tonkin for a new or used vehicle. I will definitely be going back when it come time for my next truck.

Weve purchased 3 new cars from Tonkin Dealers and always had a great experience. Service is usually awesome too. Sometimes someone will have an off day but then everyone does now and then. We looked at a new SUV while our current one was getting an oil change. Really nice salesperson we spoke to.

I have taken my car in to have the airbags replaced as it was a recall situation / issue. They were very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I work with a man named Josh who was exceptionally helpful. I will let you know more after I get my car back. I am also having my drivers side window replaced. I was surprised that I needed a motor for the window, which I figured was the problem, I was as I said surprised that I needed the whole assembly. It is going to be expensive, well more expensive than I thought. I know they do good work and are certified just surprised at the cost

Nice people. A bit pushy with finding things that need to be done. I came in for a recall that was no cost but left having an almost $2000 bill. I trust them that the work was needed, but felt that there was a laundry list given.

I had to take my truck to them multiple times to apply max guard. The second time I looked over vehicle and still wasnt right.. They had to do it for a 3rd time... They also had my truck ignition on for over 90 min and had no answer why. Also front desk people were unprofessional cussing In front of my wife and I as they were watching sponge Bob on their phone.. Sales rep was great the Service department gets negative stars

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. These people working here understand that purchasing a vehicle requires pre planning and fiscal budgeting. The sales person understood what my needs were as a prospective buyer and set up an easy to follow step by step payment plan for an easier purchase and or leasing. After the very helpful stafff located the vehicle of my choice with a few added extra options they listened carefully to what my needs were and came to an agreement which did mutually benefit both of our concerns and met most of my needs. Thanks to all the excelllent staff who involved themselves with finding a plan and deal which did not break my budget and left me with a feeling of ease and enjoyment.
