I usually have to wait a few days to get in (while other Firestone locations are nearly always available) but its worth it. This location is great, I really appreciate a friendly, fair and well explained mechanic working on my car. John and Logan in particular are really great guys and deserve a raise if youre reading this corporate! I literally followed them from the downtown location that closed to this location because theyre the reason Icome to Firestone really.

Really did not diagnose much when asked to do a full inspection of the car. Simply labeled my cars battery issue as a loose terminal even though there is heavy corrosion. Was expecting their team to change out the battery terminal wire or at least the connector. When asked about any check engine light codes they stated we didnt see any. Of course you wouldnt if the battery has been disconnected. But sure enough turn of the car at least two times and restart it and the light came right on.Overall the inspection didnt provide any insight to why the corrosion of the battery is occurring and was not offered any type of maintenance or repair options, they simply tightened down the battery terminal and called it good. Not a great look for this specific location and definitely damages the reputation of Firestone.

I got all 4 of my tires replaced on my Mercedes Benz at Firestone and initially was pleased with the service until I took my car to the Mercedes Benz dealership for some other fixings. The dealership calls me and says my tires were installed wrong. They said “a rear wheel was placed on the front axle” They said this could have caused a lot of damage if this wasn’t corrected. ALSO, Firestone said they could not do a wheel alignment on my car because my front wheel bearings needed to desperately be replaced. The Mercedes Benz dealership said they found nothing wrong with my front wheel bearings and it sounds like the shop that told me this was trying to scam me. 😒😠

I have been going to the S.E Powell location for 7 years and they had a wonderful manager called William who bent over backwards to help all customers. However they now have some younger man who has no customer skills, lies at every opportunity and is quick to sell you what you dont need. I take my car in every two months and on occasion need an oil top up, I used to get the oil top ups and this allowed me to take my car in for all services when I could. However, customer service is out the door and all they do is hustle customers. I have now switched to an Honest local mechanic who is knowledgeable and wonderful. As someone who is able to accurately diagnose my car but not have the time or patience to fix it, Firestone is generally where I end up going. They have been honest with me about the work that needs to be done, they are consistent in providing excellent customer service, consistent in having jobs done within a day--only once over the past 8 years has it taken longer and even then I received excellent service. Definitely overpriced (to be frank) but in my experience the level of service, warranties and consistency have been absolutely worth it.

Have been coming in here for oil changes for the last year and have always received friendly service. Just took my car in today to get my tires changed and it took forever. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago at noon just to make sure they had the tires available and to give me some wiggle room in case they were busy so I could make sure to have my car back that day. I ended up dropping my car off an hour and a half before my appointment since my previous errands went faster then I thought they would and I figured if something last minute at the shop came up at least my car is there and Im not inconveniencing them. I did not get my car back until after 6:30 PM, 8 hours after I had dropped it off and handed over my keys. All I had scheduled to get done was a tire change, wiper change, and their free alignment check. I could see them taking maybe 3 hours from my scheduled appointment to do all this but 6 and a half hours from the original time I had scheduled my service time is a bit ridiculous. I do want to mention that the guys working the front were very friendly and honored a coupon from the weekend that had just expired my only problem is the amount of time it took them. I probably would not have minded if they would have gave me a phone call letting me know they were running a little behind but they were doing the best to get my car finished as soon as they could. Maybe it is my fault for telling them I didnt have a specific time I needed my car back so long as i got it back same day. I would recommend this place for a fast service such as an oil change but will probably never come back for new tires or brakes.

Les Schwab Yesterday they took 4.5hrs with the car. And we elected no to get anything serviced other than dismounting the tire with a nail in it. they told my wife her tire with virtually no wear had to be replaced because of a nail in it, and she needed to buy 3 more tires also. Took the tire to Discount Tires patched it for free. When asked how it was 3 hours later and they were barely getting started on the car when we had an appointment.

I have never been to a Firestone location without being lied to. Today was no exception. I called ahead to ask what the wait and cost would be to fix a slow leak and one of my tires. The guy on the phone said it would take about an hour since there wasnt much going on. When I arrived in person, the clerk told me it would be quite a delay, and if I wanted to drop the car off.I have bought two sets of tires from Firestone, and visited multiple locations across multiple states. So I made the wrong decision and came here after going to their location on Powell (4601 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97206, dont go there either) three times attempting to get my brakes serviced and getting now where. On my first visit I came in and requested an alignment and break services, since their previous store didnt align my car after I paid $500+ on 4 brand new tires. So I leave my car in the morning and they keep it all day and dont even do the alignment or the breaks. Just a break inspection and ask me to come in again, which of course I made the mistake of doing. So I take my car in and after four visits finally get in it aligned however the break services wasnt done.So I wait a couple months take it in again (in Feb) and ask for my breaks to get serviced and they again take my car all day, however this time when I return they state they needed to order some parts and werent able to finish. So they charge $700 and tell me they will call me back in with the parts get in. So June comes around and I still havent had not one call from them so I call them and they manager states Im not sure what happened, but the part was never ordered. Well order it now and get you in a couple weeks. So I take my car to Les Swab at this point just to see if anything was even done on my car in the first place, and of course nothing they charged me for was done.So I call the customer service, who apologies and states someone will call me within 24hrs to deal with the matter. 4 days later and I get a call and ask for a refund and the guy tells me Oh well I figured I just give you a couple oil changes.Honestly dont go here or any other Firestone, especially if youre a femme. Been coming here for 17 years and my experience has always depended on the number and quality of the staff. Right now, Id stay away.Made an online appointment four days ahead for a Saturday, calling out my semi unusual tire size. Also, asked for an oil change, front suspension inspection, and ac inspection/service. Got there, two people working, 1 hour after opening and they didnt have the tires. They ordered the tires at another store and 4.5 hrs later at 12:30pm called to tell me the ordered tires were the wrong ones. They could get others for approximately $200.00 more for the set of four.Disappointed , I decided to shop around and do the tires another day. Asked how the AC and front suspension diagnostic went and they hadnt started. 4 hours later, called to tell me it would be $225.00 for an AC recharge. Also recommended a 50.00 dye in the system in case it leaks, they could find it later. I didnt bite. Authorized the AC work then asked about the suspension. They didnt see the suspension on the work order and wouldnt have time today.Ultimately, they took a entire day and took a customer ready to spend $1500 to $1700 dollars and turned them into a dissatisfied $250.00 customer. They had better get it together and hire a few more people or they are doomed. They have a trained team just down the street at Les Schwab, all they have to do is offer competitive benefits and pay. Otherwise, well see new condos there soon.

This place is, pretty good. I took my Kia Soul in on Sunday - as they are like the only tire place open on Sunday. I went in knowing I needed new tires, was just trying to get through this winter before replacing but we had a flat Saturday night. So I decided to replace all 4, they had to order the tires and I made an apt for Monday at 11. Also caught a Presidents’ Day sale which saved me about $100 off the whole bill. Service was great. Logan and Kiefer were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. They also didn’t seem like they were trying to sell me anything I didn’t need. All together I got 4 brand new tires, front brakes replaced and rotors resurfaced and an alignment for about $850. I thought it was a decent price. My only reason for not leaving 5 stars is I had wished there had been a little more communication. When I dropped it off they asked me when I needed my car back and I said 5pm, totally expecting to get it earlier since they quoted that all the work would take about 2 hrs. They called at 12:50pm (my appt was 11am, and I dropped it off at about 10:45) after doing a brake inspection and asked me if I wanted to proceed w the brakes. I did, and then didn’t hear back from them until I called them at 5 pm asking for a status. Car was done a little after 6pm. All in all it was a pretty good experience. Just please get a little better with your quote times and staying in communication with your customer if there is going to be a delay. I wanted to have my camber aligned, but they refuse to align anything if any front end part is worn out. The camber is obviously visually out of alignment because of a previous owners amateur lift job. Any idiot could see the CV boots were cracked. There isnt any play in the steering but they say pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rod ends are bad. And the shocks, none of this has to do with how bad the camber angle is, but they wont touch it, also citing my front main seal oil leak. Yes, it leaks oil but that ha nothing to do with the alignment! Steer clear of Firestone Complete Waste of Time. Over $2600 of work quoted on this $1600 truck, all extremely overpriced parts, nothing to do with my one simple obvious problem they could have adjusted.

Les Schawb fixed the first flat tire and informed me that there was no puncture in any other tires. Les Schawb did this for free in less than 30 min. Total cost: $114 for Oil Filter Cap and $30 for fixing the flat plus another $28 for oil change. Stupidly, I gave them the go ahead, because I was in a hurry. The very same week, the TPMS light was on again. I went back and Firestone employee told me there was another nail next to one they found a few days back and because of the proximity to the last patch, they cannot patch it and that I need a new tire. WHAT ARE THE ODDS? Most likely I picked up both nails (they were similar looking) at the same time and same place and Firestone tech missed it when patching the first flat. I left and went to Discount Tire Store, and they fixed the flat for FREE!!!After I got home, I did research on the Oil Filter Cap (which cost me $114 at Firestone). The part costs $30 on Amazon and Walmart and $42 on AutoZone. For all I know they made me change the cap for no reason. I cannot believe this.Bottom line: Firestone charged me $30 bucks for a flat they did not completely fix (that I got fixed elsewhere for free), tried to make me buy a new tire, and sold me a Oil Filter Cap (Part Number 917-039) for $70 to $80 more than market price...AVOID THIS STORE LIKE A PLAGUE...

Only tire shop in this area open on Sunday(the Lords day), and well see if this rating charges after I go in tomorrow to have a slow flat fixed.Update #1: The websites appointment creator is broken, and while it is no fault of the employees here I have to drop the rating to four stars because Im rating the overall experience.Update #2: Took my car in Sunday morning and although I was told the wait would be hours, they got me in right away. Only downside was my tread was apparently too low to plug and therefore I had to buy a set of rear tires ($170). If I was a proper cheapskate I could have either waited until Monday or rolled down to Oriellys and bought a boot kit. Anyways I dont feel bad about the ordeal. Conclusion: If the people working at Firestone are going to burn in hell, it is simply for being open Sunday.

Cost $100 just to find out issue with car... I have a BMW, so I guess thats typical. Regardless, I was quoted a total of $655 at Firestone to have spark plugs and a coil replaced. $655!! Supervisor tried to use scare tactics, claiming it was mostly for parts and anyone else is not using approved equipment. Took car to Mike OHaras in NE and got it done for $254. Mikes may look harsh from the outside, but they make up for it in knowledge and customer service. DO NOT get your service done at Firestone if BMW owner!!

Friendly people who dont know anything about Subarus. Blown headgasket was misdiagnosed as a radiator cap leak. Maybe this was on purpose so that Id buy new tires. The technicians on my car were right and Christopher. If you have a Subaru, dont bring it here.

My car was brought in needing a flat tire to be fixed. During my time dealing with this location I was assisted by Keith. He reported that the flat had been driven on thus creating damage that couldnt be repaired. Due to my vehicle being AWD the only course of action would be to replace all four tires. This interaction took place over the phone and I requested pictures of the damage several times, the requests were evaded each and every time. This felt a bit excessive, so I made some calls and my regular repair shop said they could shave a new tire down to match the old ones, rather than shelling out for a whole set of tires. I chose to take the car over there and have them deal with the situation in its entirety.Once they (Gresham Subaru) received the vehicle they were confused about what needed to be done, saying theres just a simple puncture they can fix immediately.Im disgusted that Firestone attempted to exploit the situation in order to obtain a bigger purchase.

Yesterday I was told by Les Schwab that my flat tire could/should not be repaired. To make matters worse my car is AWD. Les Schwab recommended purchasing 4 new tires ($450) for even wear. It seemed wasteful, since my tires are only 2 years old and I ran over a nail. The guys at Firestone fixed my tire for free in an hour and Im back on the road. They saved me time and money. I appreciate the service today.

This place must really not want my business. I came down to get a tune-up, some new tires and chains for my truck, which I imagine would have been a descent sale on their part. Well Im the only one in the place, I got to stand at their front desk for 15 mins without one person saying hi be with you in a sec, although I see through the glass they have seen me standing there. Absolutely awful customer service. will never be back!

This experience was like most at an automobile associated shop. Being female, it is assumed I know very little to nothing about anything discussed & everything is explained with a bit of a condescending tone.

Very unfriendly front desk. I was stuck on a sunday afternoon with a flat tire. I asked if they could give me a key so that I could change my flat tire. They did not help, they dont have 2 minutes to help someone in an emergency.

This place sucks , I should have reviewed the ratings before hand , it was already over priced then all of the other shops I called , but I was willing to pay the extra becouse I wanted the car for the weekend , they told me my sway bar was upside down , then told me it would be a 90 extra bucks , it will take them 40 mins and they change 115 a hour , for one Im not stupid when it comes to cars , it will only take 10 mins , i get they need to make money so I told them I would go ahead and pay 45 bucks even tho that is over paying as well but like I said I really wanted the car for this weekend , but not at a cost of over paying 130bucks for it . So when I got home I timed my self with laying on the floor to do it only took me 10 mins to flip it over and now I will wait and pay the 53 bucks for the alignment somewhere else , when they wanted 85 , plus the 90 , 1st and last time I ever go to this shop agin , thanks Firestone u guys rock 😜😜

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!! This shop has the worst costumer service Ive ever experienced. I purchased new tires in 2013 and had them rotated by this shop every time I did an oil change. In 2014 they told me that two of my wheels were slightly bent. So, I continued to get the rotations down and recently I purchased new wheels. I went last Friday to have them put the new wheels on, and they said they were closing and to come in on Sunday. The worker also tells me that my front wheels are out of alignment. This is the first Ive heard of this despite having been in regularly to rotate the tires.I then come in on Sunday and they tell me I would have to leave my car for 5 hours. I was not able to do this so he asks for my phone number and tells me that hell call when a time opens up. I received no call. I then call on Monday and they tell me that they are booked till Wed. I also ask why the problem with the alignment was never identified prior to now having to get 1 or 2 new tires, despite the fact that the tires were less than 2 years old.I then called Firestones main customer services line to complain and was told I would receive a call within 24 hours. I have received no call. The customer services Ive received is beyond subpar. It is almost as if they are intentionally not doing their jobs and trying to cause damage to the new tires so that they have to be replaced.I would give zero stars if it was an option. I recommend that everyone stay away from this shop.UPDATE: I went in today and yet again experienced the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I was met by the manager, Martin Thogerson. I told him that I have now had to come in 4 times relating to the same issue to try and get service. His response was, Well, youre not even spending any money today! I was flabbergasted! These are services provided when you buy tires at Firestone! If I had know I was going to be treated like this I would have gone to Les Schwab. I wish I had gone to Les Schwab! When I told him that the service was being provided because I bought tires there and that I can see now the reason that his shop gets terrible reviews, he starts yelling at me that those reviews were before he started managing the place and he tells me I know you make a complaint about me already, how do that go for you! He said this in a snide tone to suggest that of course nothing would happen. I did in fact complaint to the national office of Firestone. Mr. Thogerson then contacted his district manager (Dana Girard) and lied about what had occurred.I then spoke with his district manager who agreed to have me go to a different Firestone store and they would replace all four tires, install the new wheels and perform an alignment at no additional charge. While I appreciate the district managers efforts to try to make this right, I do not appreciate the way I was treated by this angry little man with a serious anger management problem.I continue to recommend that people stay away from this shop, unless you enjoy getting the run around and getting yelled at by a substandard worker.

Terrible customer service on the edge of being outright rude. Made appt to get tires put on and my new company vehicle and it wasnt completely setup in the fleet management system. I contacted my management and they offered to give them a credit card to guarantee payment while they are getting the fleet card figured out this morning, but the firestone guy at the desk said if we were not planning on actually paying with the cc he would not start the job. They would get paid either way, why could he not do the work? Instead I had to sit for 2 hours and wait for them to even start.

2 years ago I was soon to be getting married and my fiancés car needed tires, being low on money I thought I would shop around, this was a mistake.I went to firestone and about half way through I was regretting it. I felt like they wanted to charge me for every little process thus bringing the end price up to the competitions. I should have gone to shwab, in addition they were really pushing their protection plan for the tires. I refused it.Though now two year later and 38,000 miles later a bulge on the drivers side sidewall formed. I had my wife take the car in, because the tires have 60,000 mile warranty. They claimed that the bulge was road damage, even though it was not on the curb side of the car and was clearly a manufacture defect. My wife called me and handed the phone to them. After arguing with the sales person I asked for the manager, though the manager was little help and said he would get back to me. Well 45 minutes later with my wife waiting they got back to me saying they would not cover the tire. It was so late that I couldnt go anywhere else and had to take the car on the trip next day and reluctantly bought 2 more tires at a deal.I will never buy tires from Firestone again. The service was terrible, they made my wife wait for nearly 2 hours.

This is a definite NO!My wife and I went here on a Sunday, today in fact, because we had to have the car fixed for work tomorrow. The brakes were grinding. I researched ahead of time so I would know how much things cost. I found Rotors, pads and calipers for under $100. The Firestone people called and gave me an estimate of $457 to replace the pads and calipers and to flush the line. Please note the $457 is not including Rotors! That is for PADS and re-manufactured calipers. When I asked them to explain the cost they said $133 for labor. I then asked for them to explain how the parts could possibly equal over $300. He explained that the parts are $210! On what planet, I ask? He states this is a normal price. I explain to him that in fact it is at least conservatively $150 over the market value of the parts. He concedes there is a bit of a mark up. $150 is not a BIT of a mark up.Further more, $80 to flush the lines. The most expensive brake fluid I could find is $15/liter (and that is for some sort of racing focused brake fluid). Since I had already established that labor is $133. Could someone please explain where the other $62 charge is going? Is this car the one car on earth that takes over 5 liters of brake fluid...am I driving a tractor?I understand adding in cost for the shop overhead and so that some white collar suit monkey can make a profit. What I cant understand is how the advertised price of $129.99 for front brake service became $457 when they are not replacing rotors and not touching the back brakes. So they are doing front brake service and charging $327 more than the advertised price. Is there any other industry where that would fly? I didnt think so. Im nor sure how they feel when they go home at the end of their work day because I am not familiar with trying to swindle people out of their money for a living. This is a shameful company.By the way, Full disclosure, after discussing with a sales person for about 10 minutes he very begrudgingly offered me $50 dollars off. That might be more of an insult that the initial price gouge.
