It is difficult to find truly good customer service even when things go well. When the situation does not go well (in this case due to circumstances out of Matrixs control) it is almost impossible to find a company that is truly committed to their customers success. I cannot overstate how fantastic Jeremy, Jesse and the rest of the Matrix crew did with taking care of this customer. They went above and beyond, even at their expense, to make sure I was well taken care of. Supply issues with a new suspension for my sprinter caused many setbacks and several ongoing logistical issues in into play. Jeremy and Jesse never missed a beat and made sure I was happy and well taken care of. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I have a Audi Q5 that the engine gave out due to bent valves (confirmed by Audi Beaverton ). Knowing this and knowing that the engine was going to have to be taken apart I went ahead and purchased all new quality performance parts that could be replaced at the same time. Over $6k in just parts, I contacted matrix and before I even finished explaining I was cut off and told that “that’s not something we would get into”. Money is not an issue I just wanted a reputable Audi shop to work on my Audi. Not sure how they consider calling themselves Audi performance specialists when they turn away such work.

These are the people to go to for your European cars. I have a 2012 Audi s4 and the mechatronics unit failed. I was quoted almost $4k from other dealerships to repair it and ended up getting the repair kit online and these people were the only ones willing to get into my transmission to fix it. Very fast and easy service and only paid around $1400 to fix. Recommended to me from the local dealership and very reliable.

I would highly recommend this shop. Over the years Ive had them do some nice power/exhaust modifications and light maintenance on my 2018 N55 M2. Dropped in for an ECU tune on my VW - thIs is a fantastic shop with friendly staff. It is obvious that everyone knows what they are talking about. I will definitely be coming back for my DSG/Haldex services.

Took my 2009 Audi A4 into them to get a list of stuff fixed. I originally took it to a separate shop in Beaverton. That shop told me to fix it the only option would be about $3k. Matrix Integrated saw a different issue and offered to fix that before going for the big fix. They fixed the smaller issue for about $400 and now everything runs perfectly and check engine light has remained off. They also fixed my exhaust which I agreed to pay $100 for and they ended up only charging $75. They also fixed my Rear Door lock and serviced the car as well. Not only did they do all of this very professionally at an extremely good price they also did it all in one work day and had my car ready to go by 4 oclock! 10/10 experience all around. Would highly recommend taking your vehicle here.

I am familiar with Land Rovers and suspected a rather expensive issue. They looked into the problem, fixed it, and it cost much less than I thought. The work I needed done wasnt anything major, a simple software update and transfer of ownership. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff, combined with the condition of the shop and waiting area all made for a great experience. On top of that, I got more than I bargained for with the ECU update, which gave me a high level of confidence in the honesty of the staff, as they could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge on the subject and charged me for things I already had. Ill be back for sure ;)

Matrix Integrated is the best German Auto Shop around. I had taken my 2011 VW Sportwagen TDI to a couple other shops in the Portland area and the service was always okay but bill was always way above what was quoted. Then I came across Matrix Integrated and I am so happy I found them. All their mechanics and office staff are nice, helpful, informative and they always get my car back on the road at what they quoted and in a reasonable time frame. I like that they explain everything before and after they start working too. The kind of attention to detail that Matrix offers each time is exactly what I want for my VW. Lance bought a much loved Porsche that belonged to my late husband. He gave me a very fair price and was nothing but kind. I was so pleased with the consideration and respect shown to me that I asked Lance to look for a nice used car at a reasonable price. It would have been easy to take advantage of me, I am not a car person and I was grieving. I received the perfect car and the easiest car purchasing experience Ive ever had. I receive nothing but kindness from everyone who works there- and plan to work only with Matrix in future. They may charge more than Jiffy Lube for an oil change, but you get what you pay for.

After three exceptional visits to Matrix, it’s past time to say that Jesse and the Matrix team have been excellent to work with. First experience was handling a bit of repair on an older VW Jetta a couple years ago, which left me impressed with the quality, timeliness, & price. When looking for a used Porsche Macan to replace that car a few months ago, they happily worked with me to ensure the pre-buy inspection covered a range of additional areas, ultimately helping me avoid a *very* expensive future repair. After then finding the right Macan, I brought it in for some brake work which was done quickly and at reasonable cost. However, I also had a special request they were happy to accommodate, and when things went a little side-ways with it, they labored to correct it in time for a trip I had planned. I’ve been very happy with the entire experience at Matrix Downtown, and absolutely recommend them to owner of temperamental, but loved, German cars!

Went in for a simple inspection on my Audi S4 that multiple shops couldnt figure out. These guys had it figured out within five minutes of putting it on the lift! Definitely very knowledgeable on European cars they did not disappoint, and showed nothing but pure professionalism. I am without a doubt bringing both of my cars here for tuning and anything I cant handle on my own.

Ahhh, a happy place! I consider it a luxury and a pleasure being able to rely on the professional service of the Matrix team of people. Having recently acquired an ‘82 911SC in need of some deferred maintenance issues, George and Jesse were very good at listening and delivering the level of service I was looking for. The best part was the clear communication and recommendations to service unexpected items beyond the original scope of work. I thought I could do some work myself, but realistically, I feel much more confident about this car’s condition knowing George has gotten to know the car and he is passionate about working on older 911’s. The final work order, Jesse included an itemized account of all communications and a detailed list of all parts and work that was done. This makes a great history record and helps plan future maintenance work. It’s clear to me that the Matrix shop is interested maintaining a customer relationship not just cars!

Professional and knowledgeable work for my BMW. Fixed my oil leak 2 years ago and the oil pan gasket started leaking again which they said shouldn’t happen. They fixed it again at their expense and a day sooner than promised. Their work has always been as good or better than the dealer and more reasonable.

My entire experience at Matrix was excellent. We rescued our Mini from the dealer who sat on it for 2 days, never calling with a diagnosis of why the check engine light was on even though we had an appointment on the 1st day. The suggested work by Mini was almost 4x more extensive and expensive than what Matrix suggested - and in short order. They were excellent communicators as well. What more could you ask for?

Matrix is hands down the best auto repair shop I have ever visited, they treat every car as their own with love and care, they treat all their customers with respect and a smile on their faces, it truly seems like they enjoy what they are doing and not just collecting a check which is a valuable trait these days! I have had my car there twice now and both times it was finished either a little early or exactly how long they said it would take, the work was excellent and solved all my concerns I was having. The tech in the office was also happy to discuss future performance mods and what I can expect as far as maintenance with my car. Very happy to bring my car here and look forward to any future visits!

Will always trust them to my VW, worked with them back in 03 and a slew of work last summer to my new project.. I have the hardest time trusting someone else to repair and install parts on my cars, my living situation for the last couple years has been one that I do not have the space or proper tools to do my own repairs and upgrades to my car, so I feel very lucky and blessed to have matrix to fall back on until I have the space, the time and the proper tools to be a DIYer again. They take care of ones vehicle as though it were their own....Whether one is bringing in a car for an oil change or diagnostic code reading to doing a complete, serious build, one is treated the same. When an unexpected issue on my Mini Cooper S occurred on my way to work, I was able to limp into the Matrix repair shop. Last time I had this type of issue, it took the dealer 3 days to resolve. Matrix was able to diagnose the problem, get it into the shop, order the part and get it fixed (along with an additional maintenance item) within 24 hours. So glad they are located close to where I work. Really appreciate the service and excellent work.

Matrix Integrated works on the eye candy cars and it is fun to see them on their web site and in the garage. But the thing that sets them apart is that they treat my aging 1999 A4 Quattro and its owner [me] like they do the most exotic, high-performance vehicle and Danica Patrick. Well, that last part is probably not true and I accept that.Every repair has been spot-on perfect and they have embraced BOTH my Audis as if they were a part of their own fleet. They keep track of all service and whats coming up next. They are responsive to panic emails and have offered good short-term advice to get from here to there until the work can be scheduled.I think it is market-pricing, but the value comes because the work is done right the FIRST time. First-time, used German car owners alert: Go to Matrix and get it done properly, rather than looking for a short-cut somewhere else. Youll be glad you did.Zoom...

Brought my M3 there for a service and all went well. A year later when a gasket turned out to be defective, Pete took care of it immediately and had everything buttoned up like new before I knew it. I cannot recommend these guys more if you have a German car in need of service or repairs!

The staff is great to work with and their advice is straight-forward and easy to understand. Most importantly, there have been several instances where they have identified a problem that didnt cost anything to fix instead of finding a reason to charge me for something, so I trust that they are honest with their assessments and recommendations.Jesse Blair helped me with some recent service, including some new Bilstein B14 coilovers and he went to the trouble of sending me photos of my car to make sure it was sitting right before they completed the installation. Jesse was so easy to work with and made the whole experience great because he was just as excited about the work being done as I was.Highly recommend.

Any time I have brought my car in to have work done, the Matrix crew has got the job done under time and at or below the price I was quoted, which is a rare gem in this business.For the most part, I do all my maintenance/modification work on my vehicles, but a cross country move and biting off a bit more maintenance than I could chew in one weekend resulted in needing to have a shop finish the job before my cross country move, and Matrix was able to get my car in right away, and make everything right for my cross country move. With Jeremy and everyone at Matrixs help, my Avant made the cross-country trip while towing a trailer without a hitch.Highly recommended to anyone looking to have their vehicle serviced or have the latest performance part installed!

I first contacted Matrix Integrated a little over a year ago. I was looking to due a significant upgrade on my Audi Avant. I have never really had any major work done on any of my automobiles. I must say, the patience shown by Jeremy and his crew while walking though all the pros and cons of my upgrades was amazing. They very clearly explained why I should do certain upgrades and why other upgrades that I THOUGHT I wanted were not needed. This obviously cost the shop money. That showed me an incredibly amount of integrity. After a significant delay on my part due to RL issues, Jeremy took on my project and was able to complete all of my upgrades ahead of schedule. The car turned out better than I expected and I am already looking to schedule more work with them. I HIGHLY recommend Matrix Integrated!

Great service, fair pricing and trustworthy. I went to Matrix before I purchased my Porsche. I used them to inspect the car prior to me making an offer on it at a car dealership. Glad I did! Nothing was found wrong with it, but i could tell these guys are honest and do great work. Ive purchased tires through them before they were able to install them. They helped me research tires and then gave me straight up dealer cost on them. Now they can install tires, and Ive used them for that as well.I went to Matrix for an inspection prior to taking the car out road course at PIR. Nothing found.The prior services had me come back when I needed my clutch done on the Porsche. While doing that, they found an undetected oil seal leak from an oil cooler located above the transmission. They sent me pictures and and I gave them authorization to have that work done as well.About 6 months after the repair work was completed I noticed another oil leak near the area they worked near my transmission and clutch. Justin said to bring it down. They found the RMS inside the transmission failed so they replaced it. A little over $1,800 worth of labor for a $50 part and they did it all for nothing. Integrity is important to me, Matrix has it. Over 9 years since the work was done, the car is still running strong.I highly recommend MATRIX! In fact I have recommended Matrix to a coworker. He has been taking his Porsche for work at Matrix and thanked me for the recommendation.kitchen

The guys over at Matrix have been really great, friendly, timely and best of all I feel like they just do what needs to be done without a lot of hype and no upselling.

I went with my friend to pick up his Porsche. As soon as we drove onto the highway and took it up to seventy in the left lane, the front hood flew up, blocking our view and cracking the windshield. We were just able to pull over to the shoulder, recollect ourselves, and drive straight back to Matrix. When we arrived, they refused to take any responsibility even though they had left the hood open without telling us. They didnt know we had an extra set of keys and their assumption that we would take the keys they used from the trunk nearly cost us our lives. Their refusal to take any blame is a sign that they shouldnt be trusted and they only care about money. Go somewhere else!

My Audi had a catalytic converter fault pop up. Matrix identified the issue immediately, even though I popped in at 4:30 pm. They had no problem with me taking it to an Audi service center who have an emission warranty. Then, when the Audi service center was a little shaky on ordering a new cat, I called Matrix, they made some phone calls, and soon enough Audi honored the warranty and took care of it.Couldnt have done it without Matrix. Their customer service is top notch, and they know their stuff.This is the third time I have taken my car to Matrix and its the third home run hit.

Aweful. I called several times to make an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection & each time something came up. I called with a heads up each time & felt terrible about cancelling. I figured that I’d purchase this car by now & out of courtesy didn’t want to continue to try to pester these nice guys when the deal continued to drag out.I’ve spoken to them for over a month about this car & what’s been happening with it — an oil light continues to go on despite the seller insisting they filled it with oil.Today the oil light flipped from yellow to red. (!) I called Matrix Integrated & they said to come on down & they could help out.PHEW!I rushed down & no one was at the counter. Eventually someone came out. I followed him to show him the car & he barked at me to stay!Rude.Jesse eventually returned. I told him my story & he said he remembered me. (Cool!) and that since I needed to cancel before, that they wouldn’t help me. (Uncool.)I explained that I’m here now & if there’s a way they could even take a cursory look at the car I’d be happy to pay for the more expensive pre purchase inspection, but I need to determine if there is an oil leak.He was super-rude & told me that they wouldn’t have any space for at least a couple of weeks. I would have loved to make this shop a long-term partner in taking car of my car, but now I’m calling around from their waiting area (with no coffee) to find someone else. Overall, I’m not happy with the way I’ve been treated in person.I will say that Logan has always been a pleasure to speak with & he is the reason I continued to return to this shop. He’s been really helpful & that’s why I’m offering 3 stars.

What a great group, I went to Matrix for a new set of tires for my X3. Bryan, listened to my needs and made a recommendation that fit within my budget. It is nice to conduct business with an organization who values honesty and integrity.

Went in for a job that was quoted at two hours. They did a thorough job and got me out of there in one hour. Comfortable waiting room and Wi-Fi made for a great experience.

If I could give a 0, I most definitely would. I would probably give a negative score honestly. After returning our vehicle to their shop three times for the same oil leak and belt shredding, the problem persisted and the engine shut down less than two hours after leaving the shop the last time. After them finally fixing the leak, they contacted my husband to let us know the engine failed and they would not take any responsibility. Just a few examples of what we dealt with includes: giving us the run around the entire time they had it, trying to explain things that werent actually wrong, having the vehicle for less than 72 hours each time we got it back, having to replace a quart of oil each day, the list goes on... This shop is extremely unprofessional. They did not check the front main seal for a huge leak the first time they had it, and according to two other master mechanic BMW shops, it should have been caught under these circumstances. Two belts shredded, many parts replaced, and finally a front main seal, the car went out of timing due to their negligence of not checking for belt debris originally. Would never recommend. They might try and charge you ~$2500 to fix whats not wrong.

Incredibly knowledgable and friendly group of folks over at Matrix! Sent my 996 in to replace the notorious rear main seal and IMS issues. Was in and out in a couple of days! While on the lift Matrix, they were very good at relaying to me any other issues they came across, which ones were major, minor, and recommended actions, all without trying to force me into anything or make me feel like they were merely trying to squeeze a bit more cash out of me (as some shops can do). Within 48 hours my vehicle was back to me feeling better than ever! Would highly recommend for German engineered vehicles; will return.

They are known for doing the best work on Porsches, Audis, BMWs, and VWs in Portland -- and whether you know a little or a lot about cars, whether youre just coming for an oil change or doing performance upgrades, Matrix will always make you feel valued and keep you well-informed about the work being done. The more budget-conscious should note that Matrix will not try to upsell you on unnecessary work -- in fact, theyve even let me know that certain work was unnecessary given the condition of the vehicle -- saving me a ton of money.I cant say enough good things about Matrix, but I can say for certain that youre missing out if youre not bringing your car here. Worth every penny.

After using multiple other high end Euro focused shops in the Portland area, a friend turned me onto Matrix and I have been using them exclusively for the last 4 years. There honesty, integrity, knowledge and professionalism is absolutely top notch. The customer service is incredible and all the mechanics and staff not only love what they do, they are also die hard euro enthusiasts themselves. I have had them do work on the following vehicles 1976 911s, 1998 BMW M3, 2011 VW tdi Wagon, 2008 Passat Wagon 2.0 Maual, 1987 VW Gti 16v. They are great with the normal daily driver and the ultra rare classic or race car as you will most likely see when you visit one of there shops. Id recommend them to anyone.

Recently relocated to Portland and am happy to find Marix. Brought the S4(B5) in to adjust headlights, repair an auxiliary coolant pump and winshield washer leak. Marix identified the problem correctly, got the parts ordered and let me keep my car with them while I was on a buseness trip.I returned to find they fixed everything correctly and even cleaned out the drivers side nozzle which they noticed while checking the washers. This was one of items that drive you crazy, but never get around to getting it fixed. Much appreciated.They also adjusted the headlights at half the quoted price.They will be getting all of my future business.

I have to say that my experience with Matrix Integrated was beyond my highest expectations. I was treated with respect, everything was explained to me, photos were sent before any work was done, and no one tried to act smarter than me. I know a lot about cars and the one thing I hate is when mechanics try to make it seem like they know more than I do. I am only bringing my car to them because I do not have the time and the tools... but I do have the knowledge.Anyways. Jeremy at MI is great. He will tell you exactly what needs to be fixed and exactly what can wait. He will make suggestions and answer all questions. He has hooked me up with auto detailing, windshield repairs and dent removal services through his connections at prices I wouldve only imagined. In the begining I would call around to compare his quotes on parts and labour to other shops and online stores. I gave up on that after the third time I had my car in there.German car owners... we should all be lucky to have this shop in town.
