Charged for a pulley that was never installed. They refunded my money but VERY SUSPICIOUS nonetheless. Also, the original problem I brought it in for wasnt fixed and when I approached Tom about it he stated thats not really why you brought it in. Apparently, I miss work, my son misses school, I called a tow truck, waited in the street for an hour, thereby missing eight days of work, then accrued a $1,500 bill with money I dont have AND THEN FAILED TO MENTION THAT MY CAR ISNT STARTING WHEN I FINALLY GET IT TO THE MECHANIC??!! Ridiculous!! That is literally the WHOLE REASON I brought it in. Tom does not want to guarantee his shoddy work. Dont bother!

I am really impressed with their service. Finally a mechanic that a girl can go to. They fixed my car when I really needed them and they did a great job communicating the whole time. My new favorite mechanic and Ill drive from Longview so that I go somewhere o know I can trust.

I was recommended to Bradshaws through someone else. My sons Chevy S 10 had a transmission problem. It was his first car and the beds were coming in at $4100. I took the car to Thomas and he got back to me right away and said that it was a minor leak and it would only be $1100. We only paid 3 1/2 thousand for the car so we originally thought we would need to scrap it and my son I Donely bought it six months ago. Thomas got the work done on time and I could not more be happy with their service I will always recommend Bradshaws or take my own vehicles there. The only negative thing about Bradshaws is how small the lot is, but they make it work! Just be careful when you park.Ive had my car fixed several times and their staff are always helpful, accommodating, kind, professional and quick. Theyve fixed my wheels and also helped resolve a serious emissions leak issue. My old car is running smoothly again, and if it ever acts up, I know where Ill go for help.

I moved to Portland just a few months ago and shortly after my Jeep started having electrical issue and quit running (as it turned out I needed a new battery). Not being from the area I did some research and found this place online. I called about my issue and within 2 hours they squeezed me in, replaced my battery and my car was up and running again!Moving to a new city is scary and unfamiliar and can be hard at times finding a sense of community. The interactions I had with the staff members at Bradshaws only solidified how welcomed I’ve felt here. They were nothing but extremely kind, helpful and professional and I will for sure be making this my go to auto repair stop in the future!

Showed up with what I expected to be an expensive repair involving the radiator, and instead left paying under $100 for something that would have likely been up-sold to something bigger somewhere else. They didnt jerk me around, just got down to business and did the repairs. They also played Gunsmoke in the lobby which isnt a deal maker, but kept me entertained for the time it took to get my car done, haha. I will be returning here in the future.

I took my car here because I was having issues with my brake lights. The staff were all so informative and nice! They were able to take my car on the same day and I had it back way sooner than I thought I would get it. They are affordable, fast, informative and honest! My insurance luckily chose the Bradshaws shop on Hawethorne to tow my truck to. The team quickly diagnosed the issue and showed that is was the result of poorly completed maintenance by the dealership service team. I went to Bradshaws for a car inspection before a cross country road trip. They were able to get me in right away. They gave my car a clean bill of health and didnt charge me! I will definitely be back for repairs and maintenance!

Someone cut the catalytic converter off my car in the middle of the night. Melissa at Bradshaws on Hawthorne was rad! She arranged to have my car towed in, sent me and my insurance a quick quote and worked with them on payment. She also helped me find an after market guard to prevent theft again and installed it for me for a really reasonable price. They also identified other work my car needs and provided a quote without being pushy. The workmanship and communication at Bradshaws is top quality, I will definitely be back.

I know absolutely nothing about cars. All I knew when I had my car towed to Bradshaw’s was that my car wouldn’t start.Shane at Bradshaw’s made the experience of getting my car fixed pleasurable and easy. He took the time to make sure I understood exactly what was going on in my car and what we needed to make it run again.I never felt like I was being sold to. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. This was my first time receiving service from Bradshaw’s and they treated me as if I were a long time friend.Bradshaw’s is the only mechanic I will go to in the city.

My car had a flat tire when I found it in the morning and my insurance took it here. Only one tire needed replaced as the other tires were in good condition. They tried to force me into buying all four brand new tires at 700$ for additional work and fees or they simply wouldn’t do the work on my car. I ended up towing the car back to my normal shop (was only visiting Portland I live an hour away) and was correct that ONLY the one tire needed replaced and nothing else was wrong with the others.Be careful when dealing with them before they also hold your car hostage for stuff that didn’t need replacing in the first place.

10/10 highly recommend this place to anyone in PDX. I’m literally about to move back to Maine and found out I needed so much work done to my car. They ran around trying to find parts for me to get it done on time and I am SO thankful for that!! Go here for your car needs, you will not be disappointed. :)

Bradshaws was just who I needed to find and were super quick and friendly, I had some spark plugs breaking off in my f150 and they put their guy Aaron on it. Not an easy job and I was super stressed and they go through it with a surgical meticulous attention to detail. After was all said and done they fit in the time that they quoted me so I had them do my oil change as well. Couldn’t have asked to stumble upon a better mechanic shop. Highly recommend, they aren’t cheap but that’s not what you want when your horses is in trouble! Thanks so much guys!

I came to Bradshaws looking for just a check-up before my road trip back to the mid-west. Expecting just a 15min look, I dropped my car and planned to come get it in a few hours. Bradshaws went above and beyond, checking every inch of the car, topping off fluids, and giving me a list of anything they thought I might want to look into when I got home. All of this at a price under their initial quote. If I lived in the area I would definitely be coming back. Highly recommend these guys!

I had a wonderful experience with Bradshaws Auto Repair! Amazing customer service! Even with my Ford Escape not being worth the money needed to bring it back to life, Bradshaws and specifically, Andy, went above and beyond. He explored every viable option to fix my car. He sent me updates along the way. He contacted and referenced experts who had dealt with similar hybrid issues. I even called the dealership to see if they could help, and they told me they had spoken to someone at Bradshaws with the same issue. It had been my car! Bradshaws had called the dealership as well to see what could be done and how much the parts were. So I know they really did all they could and I appreciate it. I work in customer service and I understand it’s difficult to deliver unfortunate news, but I’m still happy I chose them to look at my car. I would recommend Bradshaws over and over again. Once I get a new car, if anything happens, I’ll definitely be taking it to Bradshaws.

I was referred to Bradshaw’s by another mechanic and I think I have found a home for my car. Their analysis of my car was down to earth. Instead of trying to convince to repair everything, they told me what could wait which helped me triage repairs. I never felt out of control or stupid like I have with other shops. On top of all that, they are fast, affordable and will check out your car for free. I’ve never left a mechanic feeling so relaxed.

Asked for an online estimate a few weeks prior to working with Bradshaw’s for a ball joint replacement and full clutch assembly replacement.Their estimate was very quick and fair.I ended up replacing the clutch assembly, clutch master cylinder, all 4 shocks, the front right upper and lower ball joint, rear pinion seal, and valve cover gasket. The repairs were taken care of within 2 days and were very fairly priced.I drove 1K over the next two days after picking it my vehicle up and I have to say that everything feels solid and I’m happy to be back on the road.Many thanks to Andy and the technicians!

My tenant took her Hyundai in to diagnose. She was given $1,000 bid to replace her back brakes they said were totally gone, and other stuff that needed to be done. She took her car to a 2nd place to check the brakes and was told they were perfectly fine, not in need of replacing. I find this disturbing that it should be different. If one thing was misdiagnosed, then perhaps the rest was as well.

I have taken my car to Bradshaw’s for 10+ years but today they lost my business. Seems like they have had turn over in the past couple of months because they have a new office person and Andy a long time beloved staff is gone. Andy was always friendly and patient and took time to explain things. He even gave me a deal once when I told him I wouldn’t be able to the repair. Knocked off hundred of dollars. New folks are pushy and impatient. Went in for an oil change today with some codes coming up and ended up with a quote for $700+. While the repairs are needed, I called around to another (reputable) shop and was told they could do it for $400. They said Bradshaw’s appeared to be overcharging for labor. I won’t be back to Bradshaw’s. Very sad because I recommended them to everyone. Adios Bradshaws.Update: The repair that they quoted me ended up not evening being needed. The new shop treated me exceptionally and I walked out for under $100.

On Tuesday my car broke down on the side of US-26. After I called for a tow I called Bradshaws to make sure I could bring my car there (since theyre currently doing online appointment scheduling). I was so happy that on top of an already very stressful day, the auto shop was not part of the stress. While the reason my car broke down was fairly catastrophic (the AC compressor failed, causing the serpentine belt to snap), they were able to VERY quickly diagnose the problem, get the parts, and fix the car. 48 hours later I have my car back and its good as new (as a 10 year old car can be). Im super thankful for their constant professionalism and speed in fixing my car. I hope I dont have to go back soon, but Ill definitely be going back to Bradshaws for any future car needs.

This was a friendly place and easy to work with. I only went for an emissions test and it was quick. I would give 5 stars but neither of the two men inside the office were wearing masks and one man asked for my keys, went inside my car to turn it on and then handed the keys to me without gloves or an effort to wipe down the surfaces he had touched. This is my first time having an emissions test done somewhere other than the DEQ but I have never had someone else enter my car and turn it on for me and I would have preferred not to have that be the case with an unmasked, ungloved stranger during a pandemic.

Drove my car to a grocery store on Division. My car wouldn’t tune over. Called triple aaa, they suggested a tow to Bradshaw’s for a possible starter issue. Car was towed at 11:15. My car was done by 2:45 same day. I received updates by text for wash step of the way including phone calls from Andy. I will definitely use Bradshaw’s for my auto repair needs. Price wise, they do seem a bit spendy. However I found them fast, friendly and helpful.

Ive used Bradshaws for years, and continue to go there even though I no longer live in the neighborhood. I trust their judgement, and they are flexible with communication options (phone, email, text). They go out of the way to make sure I know whats being proposed (before) and whats been done (after).

Bradshaw treats you like family. The garage is similar to an old school shop that will get their hands dirty to find any issues with your vehicle I have entrusted my vehicle maintenance to Bradshaws for 20 years. We needed to et our AC fixed for a coming trip to CA. Our regular shop was closed, so we found Bradshaws. They were able to get us right in & got us ready-to-roll quickly. Nice folks!

I took my Sienna for DEQtoo emissions testing for registration renewal and also an oil change. I had an appointment time and was out of there within about 45 minutes. Very friendly and efficient!

After looking at my truck they gave me an upfront quote and broke down which parts were going to be the most important to work on first. Two weeks later when I felt that my brakes were soft and the car was making some very frightening noises, they looked at it again and explain to me what was going on and what we could do about it. No charge. Im very happy with all the work they have done on my truck.

Having a mechanic you trust is important. Over the years we’ve been bringing our vehicles to Bradshaw’s, they have Impressed me with their transparency (really explaining what needs to be done and why), their sensitivity to our finances (telling us when something is “coming” but doesn’t need to be done right now) and quality work (they do it right). I recommend them without reservation.

Got me in and done with a major repair in one day.... the day before Christmas! Was able to head out of town and over the pass in my Subaru just in time. We had set up a rental car just in case, and nobody had anything all wheel drive, so I was especially grateful to Bradshaws for their accurate assessment and quick work. Yay.

Asked them to inspect and fix issues with car that daughter then used to travel to LA. Made me feel much, much better about daughter’s safety.

I came in for a DEQ check which failed because of a minor issue with my gas cap causing the check engine light to be on. They fixed it for me promptly the next day at a very reasonable price and even offered me a ride back to my house in the neighborhood as I waited. Highly recommend !

Id give them 10 stars if I could! Im from Lakewood and was down in Portland for work. I came out after work on Thursday afternoon to a car with no power steering. I ended up being towed to Bradshaws by AAA. I have zero idea what shop is good and reliable, zero idea of what is wrong, and zero control over anything at that point. By the time we arrived at Bradshaws they were closed so I left my car, key and note. They worked hard to get my car fixed by the time they closed for the weekend on Friday evening! They went above and beyond. Not only did I get great service, it was at an excellent price AND with a AAA discount I did not know about or expect. I am now very seriously considering driving to Portland to have service work done on my car! Ethical, excellent service by a great team.

Had a great experience here. We had mechanical issues with our van when we arrived to Portland. I was pretty bummed because I had a nice road trip planned and we were stranded, not knowing when we would be able to continue our journey. This shop understood my predicament and made sure that we were back on the road as soon as possible. We greatly appreciate some of the other accommodations they made to help us as well. It was above and beyond what a typical businesses would do. Auto breakdown is never fun but they made the experience bearable. I believe it was Molly in particular that we interacted with the most. She was very helpful and kind. Would certainly recommend.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! Im not sure how anybody can give these guys 5 stars. When I saw 5 stars from so many people on Bradshaws website I thought I couldnt go wrong. But $1300.00 later the same noise, issue I went in originally for is still there. The problem was never fixed. Shame on me for going back a second time. Heres my story...Went in September because of a screeching noise in my engine. They checked it out, called me and said they heard two noises. So they changed the Transfer Case ($626.00), but never fixed the loud screeching noise (the one I went in for originally). They told me that the front wheel bearings needed to be changed. I couldnt afford both, so I said I would come back to have the bearings changed. I picked up my car that day and the screeching noise was still there only worse and louder. I took my car in 12/14/18 to have the bearing replaced ($647.00). Picked up my car, drove off and the very same screeching noise I brought it in the first time was still there. They never fixed the original issue I brought the car in for the first time. This is totally unacceptable. Bradshaws does enough business youd think theyd hire mechanics who know what they are doing. When I called and told Tim that the original issue was never resolved. He said bring it back in it might be a drive shaft issue. Really Tim!!! Shame on me for bringing it back a second time. Bradshaws you stole $1300.00 from me. You are crooks!

Many years ago I delivered parts to them always treated respectful and appreciated with my various questions, I trust them and they helped me out once with a simple fix others would have lied about.
