Just drove home my first Subaru, thanks to the great team at Subaru of Portland. Adam Gates and his colleagues really went above and beyond, from the moment I expressed interest in a car through an online ad, to not only to get me a great car within my budget, but also to literally help me get my old clonker back to the dealership to trade in towards my new (used) car - this was no small feat. I am really impressed and hope for many happy miles with my new Outback. I will gladly return to Subaru of Portland for my next car - they really knocked it out of the park.

My experience at Subaru of Portland has been great. This is the second Subaru I have bought here. Its been great service both times. We also just dropped our new car off at the service department to get a lift and tires. They were also great and very fast service. I recommend them.

I stopped by Subaru of Portland to get the brakes checked on my Outback and was first greeted by Davis, one of the managers. He stopped what he was doing, and walked me across the street and introduced me to James in the service department. James listened to my concerns and was extremely knowledgeable about the service requirements of my car. While I was waiting for my car to finish, Davis stopped by to see if I was being well taken care of and also talked to me about the possibility of purchasing my Outback. I have a few miles left to go in my Outback, but when the time comes for a new car I will definitely come back and see Davis, James and their team at Subaru of Portland.

James in service helped me with getting my STI’s oil changed. He was an all around great person and provided exceptional service. I recommend you go see him if you need any work done on your Subaru

My 2018 Forrester wipers dragged halfway after mid function and the noise was so annoying and I tried all sorts of wipers and got so frustrated that I came into the dealership for advice. They hooked me up with hybrid wipers that are thinner and less attractive and they worked great. Payed $50 for the pair and to me thats a high price for wipers but at least the problem is solved and I have peace from that annoying dragging noise thatd drive anyone insane!

This was my second Subaru from Subaru of Portland. This time was even better than the last time- and the last time was great too. Sean was friendly, respectful and patient. Everyone that we worked with made it an enjoyable and fun experience. Plus everyone seems to LOVE dogs which is just a bonus. I am excited to go back for service and use the dog wash station. I am a happy owner of a 2022 cinnamon pearl brown outback.

Before but another car definitely go here and go see Alex.. I made them work for it, but they got me in exactly what I wanted.. And did it with a smile... Ive had Nissan, Toyota, and Porsche... I love my Subie more than any of those... Definitely a different caliber of car. The sales team handled themselves very well mannered and not pushy. They take the time to get you exactly what you want.. Remember Alex... Totally cool dude.

My husband, Rocky, and I were a little nervous to buy a new car (wed had ours for 16 years), but Sam and the team at Subaru of Portland put us at ease from the start. I couldn’t be any happier! Long story short I had promised myself one new vehicle in my life so I thought why not check out the new Wilderness Outback. At first I was pretty stand-offish when I had arrived at Subaru of Portland, I had brought in a upside down loaned on Dodge Crapcharger for trade in…. And drove 3.5 hours! My unpredictable arrival time left me with Adam, which come to find out would be the ONLY reason why I ended up purchasing the brand NEW 2022 Wilderness Outback! Immediately Adam offered me a cup of coffee and a bottle of water and appreciated the fact I drove 3.5 hours to come there, Adam quickly showed me outside of the Wilderness Outback and quickly we jumped in for a spin in my brand new car…. I don’t know how many of these cars have actually been sold (only one they had) but I was super impressed with Adam’s knowledge of the vehicle, he quickly taught me the awesome functions specific for the Wilderness, I had NO IDEA they practically drive themselves! He sold me immediately. I work 24-27 hours shifts, this is a life saver for sure!!! Ok so far I’m sold. Then financial happened, like I said a upside down trade in…. Like I told them on the phone earlier in the day. I bring a Dodge Charger, they basically insult me with a $1000 offer to buy my car. Dude the stereo costs more and I drove specifically here. I know what the FAIR trade in value is, thanks to the insult to my intelligence. Adam talked me down, thank god. Financial came back with the fair trade value as listed on KBB, Adam was a rockstar. I wouldn’t be so in LOVE with my Wilderness if it wasn’t for him… best part he called me to help me set up the anti theft, remote entry and all the other awesome features this car has, 5 outta 5 Adam! Subaru of Portland hits top marks in all aspects. I ordered a custom build thru the official Subaru site and had it delivered to SoP in July. Upon delivery, I noticed there were a few inaccuracies in terms of accessories. I got in touch with product specialist, Sam, who worked together with Sales Manager, Ted, to ensure my Crosstrek was corrected quickly and accurately!Communication, accuracy, and transparency are the 3 areas they really excelled in during my experience. Trustworthy dealerships are hard to come by nowadays, and it was a real pleasure working with these folks. I took my car into Subaru Portland this week. I called the body shop and spoke with Mike Williams. I told him that I had taken my car in that day to a car wash and it somehow took the molding off my driver door. Mike told me to come in the next day and he would take a look at it ..no appointment needed. He looked at it and took it to the body shop replaced the adhesive on the molding piece and it looks great! He did this free of charge.This was done while I relaxed with a free coffee sat in a comfortable chair and watched the Olympics :-) Mike is his trustworthy..And a very kind person.. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

I couldnt be happier with my buying experience with Subaru of Portland. Lauren was great to work with - she listen to what we wanted to do, took our concerns seriously, she didnt play games or try any pressure tactics. Just a really nice conscientious person to work with on buying a new car and trading in an old. This is our fourth Subaru Outback, and its by far the best - so many safety features, so quiet and smooth going down the road, great technology thats easy to understand - Lauren did a great job with an overview of all the new features and making sure our phone was interfaced. Were also offered a followup meeting with the dealerships specialist to help us with any questions about the technology and such - which well likely take advantage of after getting a bit more time with it.Bottom line is I highly recommend Subaru of Portland, and if Lauren is available try to work with her. I have been consistently impressed by the quality of service at Subaru of Portland. After the recent bout of 100 degree plus weather, my 2020 Outback had some interior trim come loose, I was a bit dumbfounded and irritated. I was able to drop by the service department and they had my car back to me in less than a hour, good as new. Ive also had all of my regular oil changes and services done here since purchasing my car and I have driven away pleased every time, theyre efficient in getting the work done and the level of transparency in their pricing for the work being performed is a breath of fresh air. Dare I forget to mention their awesome and very dog friendly waiting area? Where else can you get your car taken care of and wash your dog all under the same roof?

The last time I bought a car was 12 years ago in a different state with no financing. I only planned to test drive on Sunday, but Lauren made it incredibly easy to get the exact used make and model I wanted. It was already well-priced, and I never felt pressured - only support with my car buying plans. Lauren’s take when I explained I needed to move the money to buy was “If that’s what you’re planning to do anyway, there’s no prepayment penalty so let’s just see if we can get financing so you don’t miss out on the vehicle you want.” The whole experience was one of them anticipating my questions and “let’s make this easy for you.” Elliot walked me through the paperwork and I never felt rushed if I needed to ask questions. Recently I got an internal detailed cleaning at Subaru of Portland for $350, the service turned out exceeding my expectation, the cleaning is done in such a thorough way like I bought a used car from a dealer, very happy with your detailed cleaning job. Will do it again in the future.

I came in a few weeks ago to help a friend purchase a car. I bought my car here two years ago and still absolutely love it. It had a recall out recently and the repair process was a breeze and they gave me a rental at no cost. It was a great experience and I shared it with my friend who ended up walking out that day with a new car. We worked with Emily and Donovan and they were both fantastic. I plan on coming back in a couple years for a new vehicle and I know who to ask for! I plan on recommending this place and Donovan until my face turns blue.

Service has been consistently excellent. Although it’s typical that they do get busy. The quality of their job never ceases to impress me. They also offer ride for those who prefer to be somewhere else while the car is getting service. Quick check in and check out.It starts with an accommodating usher who will guide you where to park your car, give you instructions to leave the key on the dashboard and head to the counter for final step. This is where you’ll decide if you will wait in the lobby or arrange for a ride to wait somewhere else. They are pretty good on estimation length of service. I had Troy M., he was really professional and friendly.I went on a Thursday after 8am and they were busy. It worked out for me cause I was able to keep my medical appointment. My car was ready before my appointment was over but they were amenable to arrange my ride back to the shop on a later time. Very convenient for me. It never felt that the wait was long cause I had the freedom to be somewhere else instead of just waiting in the lobby.

Drove 250 miles and passed multiple Subaru dealerships to purchase our 5th Subaru (3rd Outback) from Lee, James, and Kevin. SMOKING deal that blew every other dealership out of the water. Easy purchase and car was exactly as represented. In addition...they put a hold on the car the minute I called them and let them know I was on my way, which was a 4 hour drive. I recently lived a block away from Subaru of Portland on Grand Ave. I would walk my dog in the area and the sales people were always so nice that I said if I ever bought a Subaru, it would be from them! Well, I just did, and it is was a great experience every step of the way. Michael, the person in sales who helped me, had answers to all of my questions. He turned a process I was dreading into a really positive and even fun experience. Brought my car in to get 3 things fixed: Needed screws for middle console, fix my mud flap, and to look into a high pitch noise.To start off, they just totally ignored the first two problems. Entirely forgot about the middle console entirely, when it was literally just replacing some missing screws. Then they told me the mud flap was broken... yeah thats why I wanted it fixed?I schedule my inspection a week ahead, but then when my car is there it took them an entire week to even look at it. Then when I do hear back they tell me it isnt making the noise. So I had to go back in and drive with the technician and he finally heard it.This is where I get frustrated. They could not find anything wrong with the car, even though its obvious there is. So they tell me just to wait and record the noise on camera? How is getting the noise on camera going to help when the technician confirmed he heard it? They did not instruct me on anything that I could keep an eye on or anything that I could be proactive about.They dont care about your car, they just want to make money. They will do the simple services like oil changes instantly because that is their money maker. When it comes to actually fixing what the customer wants, they just totally ignore it and push maintenance packages down your throat

Chris Thompson one of your mechanics is the best and takes wonderful care of my care, always advising me of whats going on with the car.Your service managers were very welcoming and friendly.I do feel the service manager space is a little tight for the amount of traffic you have in the new space. I really liked the other location not such close quarters.

After driving a 98 Outback since the age of 16, I was ready to upgrade but had so many questions and anxiety as a first time car buyer. Overall, customer experience was good. A few weeks after an oil change, & fluids topped off, our engine starts to get hot. We think its because were driving it through the mountains on a very hot day. It goes back to normal. Following week, my wife is in Bend for last trip to finalize our move and comes out to a lot of water leaking under the car. I noted its probably b/c shes been running the AC, but this was an abnormal amount of water. Luckily she was at the WFs right down the street from Subaru of Bend and I suggested she take it there. Thankfully, the mechanics checked engine coolant and oil b/c they were both EMPTY. Our 2006 Outback LL Bean, 3.0 has been so good to us, not one issue in the 3 years weve had it. We take great care of it and ensure all maintenance gets covered in timely matter. When you take your car to a dealership and find out that the Technician compromises the integrity of the engine and puts your wife in a compromising position, there is only ONE STRIKE and youre out. Trust is severed, Ill never go back, ever. Too risky and were so grateful we caught it b/c they put a fresh sticker that said come back in 7000 miles... The care would have been toast be the end of June.

Great experience buying a new Subaru Outback at Subaru of Portland. Lauren was great! She was patient and worked with us for over 4 hours until we found the right car, and took time to explain new features and set up the basics of the My Subaru app. The rest of the team was also very friendly and helpful on the contracting and financing. Working with the team, I found them friendly and easy to work with. I was able to set most everything up online (over email and text) and the team was responsive and was able to find and deliver the car I was looking for. Once on site, they were great with their covid protocols and I felt good about the interaction from that point of view. The only downside was that is still took longer than expected to process the purchase. They had all of my information prior and it still took over an hour not including my test drive. I was pretty clear I wanted to get in and out quickly as I was on vacation and was hoping to maximize my time there.I would have given them 5 stars had it been quicker.All in all a good experience with continuing support after I drove off. I would recommend Subaru of Portland to anyone looking to buy a car.

New service location is easy to find. Clean waiting area. Nice attendants in waiting area with good snacks and plenty of space to work while waiting and have distance.Service guy was the best. Can’t remember his name but really made me feel welcome. He was friendly and attentive. I went in on 6/24/21 for routine oil change. No appt. Wait time was about 1 hour.

I went down on Monday after having my old Outback declared a total loss. I was helped by Robert who was so great about understanding my situation and budget. Robert was excellent showing me all the features of the newer models and finding something within my budget. Robert was such a huge help and made the whole process easy. We ended up finding a year newer Outback for me and I couldnt be happier!! The whole process was so smooth and easy I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

My battery had an issue, so I went without an appointment. They checked it for free with the test result being great. Later I found out that the trunk light was on. The service rep offered his own jump starter for free. I gave him a black forest cake for my appreciation. What an awesome experience!

Subaru of Portland was fabulous. We had two issues with our Ascent while in Portland on a cross country trip. They fixed both of them quickly and completely, and were honest and friendly. The service representatives, Terrick and Melissa, were knowledgeable and sympathetic to our needs. 100% recommended!!!!

We needed to quickly replace a 2014 Outback that had been totalled in an accident. Robert Hills and the management team at Subaru of Portland were very helpful in finding us a 2015 of similar quality with low miles at a great price. Robert was so knowledgeable about the differences between the 2 model years. A pleasure to work with everyone there!

I dont think I have ever had the experience I had on June 5th as I did with this dealership. I cant say enough how wonderful and awesome the staff are, how great I was treated and how they were willing to ensure I got the vehicle I wanted. I for sure will buy my next car from them and will ensure that I refer them to anyone looking for a car. Worth the drive to Portland any day. Can you say Best Day ever at a dealership.... I can!!!!

The overall service completed on car was good. Checking in was not good. I called Subaru to check if oil change included tire rotation, and I was told it was. When I went into Portland Subaru I was told it was not and it was only $15.00. I was told this contact is from CA and the information is not correct and they have had problems with that. I was told again, “It’s only $15.00”. Being told twice it is only $15 does not help since I was given incorrect information and it was not $15 I was planning on spending. After done, the attendant found my warranty covered everything so I did not have any charge.

Customer service was friendly and helpful but they must have been swamped with work; they told me over the phone a software update recall would take an afternoon. I get there and, without prior warning, Im told I can pick up in 2 days. Nobody calls me on that day. I call the next day and find out my car is ready for pick up. Nobody called me. I go in to pick it up and they pull my car up without me noticing and nobody tells me. Overall, pretty frustrating. Again, they seem nice and want to try, but dont seem organized enough to handle the volume of service work they get. Would recommend going to another dealership for service.

There is not a better Subaru dealership in the area! Miriam and the team at Subaru of Portland went above and beyond to make this the most enjoyable car buying experience that I actually enjoyed. I would 10/10 recommend Subaru of Portland to anyone in the market for a new Subaru.

Davis and Miriam at Subaru of Portland are so good at what they do! They made my buying experience seamless and stress free . Davis helped me find the car of my dreams ( although not a Subaru ) they have amazing used cars , and Miriam is just attention to detail customer oriented and the nicest person ever !I will be back !Thank you

My first service appointment went swimmingly. Subaru was very efficient. Communication was great. They exceeded my expectations, which were already high based on my good experience buying the car.

Checked out this place after a disappointing experience with another dealer. Worked with Alex, who was super friendly and knowledgeable about their cars. Everyone was friendly when it came time to buy, but we had to do the normal back and forth to agree on a price. It took like 4 hours to do all of that and the final paperwork, etc. I wish that part was quicker and pricing was more straight forward and with less upsells along the way. Anyhow I am very happy with the experience. Also it seems like they take covid pretty seriously, everyone was wearing masks, the place was very clean, glass shields, etc.

The new service location is well-run, staffed with friendly people, and comfortable. I scheduled online and waited. They had my car’s routine maintenance done in about an hour and I was able to get on with my day.

I recently needed to get a new car on a pretty quick turnaround and happened to find an option at Subaru of Portland. Sean helped me through the whole process of test driving, financing, and answering a million questions over the course of two days until I had the keys in my hands, and I LOVED working with him. He made the experience smooth and easy and hes a lovely person to chat with while you wait for tedious credit reports and whatnot. I had a great car buying experience, and I didnt know if that was possible, because it makes me anxious as hell.

Brought our Outback in for an oil change and tire rotation. We used the express service so there is no reservation for that. Service was excellent as usual. Only complaint was we had to wait about 10-15 minutes to drop off our car keys and then go to brunch.

Im grateful for the maintenance performed on my car; thank you!With that said, I feel like the operations at Subaru maintenance could be more streamlined. Ive had better experiences at the previous location on 7th Ave. I made an appt online, showed up, and was told there was not time to do my cars recall. Why is there an option to make an appointment online if theres not availability? I rescheduled and then was told the exact same thing when I showed up to drop off my car a second time.The lines in the morning are out of hand with cars blocking the street at the garage entrances on Ash Street. Im surprised this is allowed as it seems like a serious traffic safety issue. I did not feel safe trying to drop off my car. I hope to see the process seriously revamped soon.Thank you again for your help though! I ended up working with Kevin, who was kind and communicative. He managed to get the maintenance done within a day by making a few phone calls.

Not a great experience. They gave me a loaner car which was a nice perk, but it took me over a week of trying to get in touch with someone to finally get my car back. This included waiting on hold then getting transferred from one person to another and no one able to actually help me, then not getting call a back after calling daily, they said they would put me as a priority to the manager. Never received a call back. After a week I was finally able to get in touch with someone who gave me a different quote than initially stated. They did end up honouring the lower quote with no explanation as to why my husband got a $250 lower quote than I did for the exact same work on the same car.. I wont be going back.

Deseo is excellent, very professional with great manners. He went above and beyond to explain the information to me and gave me multiple options to resolve an issue. He did not rush me and took the time to listen carefully to all of my concerns. Well done!

If Im going to be completely honest, I rarely write reviews. Michael in sales helped me out with buying my 2nd Subaru from this place, and Im still blown away with the service he provided. I wish I could say I had happily retired my first Subaru, but unfortunately that was not the case. My car was recently declared a total loss after being rear-ended, and the thought of buying a new car was not exactly what I had had in mind so soon. I loved my first Outback, but I love my new 2022 Outback even more! I greatly appreciate the coordination, thoughtfulness, and service provided for me today. Michael, thank you!This whole process of dealing with a total loss vehicle, to getting a new one; I have to give kudos to Mike and Teresa in Body Shop as well for their patience in answering all my questions as I navigated closing things out with my first Outback.I am most definitely a Subaru customer for life.

Ive never purchased a car so I didnt know what I was getting myself into, and was even a bit intimidated by the unknown. After a lot of research online I knew I wanted a Subaru and so sought out the local Portland Subaru dealer. The whole process was so smooth and professional, from the initial communication to my visit to the dealership to the financials and paperwork I went through when purchasing. If youre looking to buy a Subaru you are in good hands at this place. Id also like to thank Glenn Allen. He was who I worked with to look at Crosstreks and within a mile of getting off the lot on my test drive he had pretty much already sold me on the vehicle with all his knowledge of the car and his enthusiasm for the brand. I really cant say enough about how much of a pleasure it was to work with him. I also worked with Elliott for most of the financing, and he explained my lease and my purchase options in such an easy-to-understand manner. I worked with Papa and had such a wonderful experience. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, took the time to show me everything on the car that I asked about and more and was honest about it’s condition. It felt like I was working with family who cared and I would highly recommend working with him!

Middle management was very discourteous. We tried to address some concerns we had after the purchase was made and they were VERY rigid in the steps, or lack of steps, that they could take to help. As far as I understand the auto industry has been hit pretty hard by supply chain issues, namely the lack of semiconductors. That said, there is no excuse for being so obtuse.

They sell your information! Good car buying experience would have gotten 5 stars but the bad experiences happened after I got home. Its been 2 years since Ive bought my ascent and Im still getting weekly letters from liberty insurance trying to make me switch, other junk mail from various companies, and telemarketing phone calls for a extended warranty that I didnt even purchase to begin with and wasnt included. So If you buy your car from here make sure you ask them not to sell your information.

My sales associate, Papa, did an outstanding job. Hes very knowledgable and listens so well. I felt like he knew what I was wanting and helped the process move along quickly without pressure. First class service, for sure!

I’ve never had such a wonderful experience buying a car! I was visiting Portland for the day and made the spontaneous decision to go look at new cars. Miriam helped me find a great 2021 Outback and gave me an awesome trade in deal with my 2017 Forrester. She was super informative, straightforward, outgoing, and incredibly helpful. Bad service, Purchased A used Prius 2019, with 8 k Miles on it, on 15th of Sept 2019, find out its cable for charging missing, car has one quarter Tank of Gas, It appears to be typical car sale man behavior, Called Twice to Person Name Davis about the missing cable for charging, Never heard back from him. Not a good place to buy a car.

We received great service at Subaru of Portland. We worked with service advisor Vaughn Craft. He was extremely helpful in addressing an out-of-warranty problem with the “eyesight” system on our Forester. Vaughn is a great communicator and really cares about the people who bring their cars in for service. He went to bat for us to get Subaru to help with this major, and complexly unexpected, repair. We couldn’t be happier with how Vaughn and Subaru of Portland worked with us to get everything fixed. Can’t recommend Vaughn and SOP highly enough based on the service they provided to us. We have used the SOP service department since we bought the car from the dealership in 2017. We have always been pleased with the service and will certainly continue to rely on them for routine (and unexpected) maintenance needs. Thanks Vaughn.

Highly recommend this dealership and working with Glen. I was absolutely dreading buying a car and was prepared for pushy sales tactics. Glen was the exact opposite. Its less that he sold me a car and more like he connected me with what I wanted. 10/10 would recommend.

Lauren was extremely helpful and kind. Got me into a car even though worldwide logistics is making inventory a challenge. Jared dug deals out of the couch cushions to make sure the monthly payment was within my budget. Ive gone back to them for my last two Subaru leases and will continue to do so.
