Then they made excellent product recommendations and scheduled our installation within two weeks of my call, which is good considering the COVID demand spike, and they did a wonderful job! RackAttack is one of those rare companies that bends over backwards to do great work, and please their customers. Would that we had more like them! They did a great install of a Rhino Rack and iKamper Skycamp Mini rooftop tent on my new Jeep Wrangler 4xe Hybrid. Solid, clean, neat and on-time.

The location is pretty accommodating. There was a mix-up with the installation appointment when I arrived at the location, but they offered to get the install that day. Work done was great. I was also looking to get a crossbar + cargo box set up and the individual there answered my questions and sent me a quote. Overall a good, frictionless experience.

Rack Attack’s friendly and knowledgeable staff helped me get a Yakima LoadWarrior on order and ensure it would fit my vehicle. A few days later I was able to drop by and pick it up, no problems to be had!

Bought a new wind fairing from here. No issues with service or the product itself, however, I received a open-box fairing that was passed off as new. All of the packaging inside was torn and somewhat taped back together. Fortunately there were no missing pieces.

The store was clean and fast working and really did amazing with help and getting me taken care of fast and was very respectful and kind all the way around. If your looking for an amazing place to get a rack and get taken care of this is the place to go 100% of the way from start to finish they will take Care of you. Rack Attack had an item in-stock that was unavailable on-line everywhere I looked. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product and helped us install it in the parking lot.

This place and these guys were great. They did a custom install on my 2016 F-150. The customer service was amazing, they talked me through my options and were super patient and helpful with me. I definitely got the feeling they were more concerned with getting me what I wanted and needed more than making a sale or selling me stuff I didn’t need. They even took the time to take me into the install center and show me how they put the rack on my truck. I haven’t had a chance to put the cross bars on it yet, but I am positive everything will work.

We went looking for a cargo rack for our Subaru. We are novice and knew nothing. The staff was top notch! There was zero pressure and we knew they just wanted to give us the best product for us. We were literally in and out in less than 30 minutes and they even put the product on our car for us!

Rack Attack Portland-East are a great bunch of guys.. They installed a roof rack, basket and an awning for me. I went to them rather than the dealership. Price wise they are a better deal, than the dealership. They were knowledgeable about their products and patient with all my questions. I would highly recommend Rack Attack Portland-East.

Service tech checked out our camper van and was clear about what was and was not feasible for getting a canoe rack to go over our air conditioner and a Thule storage case installed. His recommended solution worked perfectly and makes transporting our canoe on top of the van easy and secure!

Update:The manager, Taylor, made an appointment with me to review and verify the installation.He put our car up on ramps, reviewed the connection points where the hitch meets the subframe, and reviewed the capacity and limitations of the receiver in detail.He also supplied me with a support strap and refunded the cost of the frame adapter.Overall, he took the time needed to make me feel comfortable with the installation hence the change in my review.............................................................Original review:Purchased a hitch and hitch mounted Thule 4 bike rack.What no one told me is that the class 1 hitch isnt necessarily rated for the torsion imparted by mounting 4 bikes. This would have been nice to know at the outset.Further, no one explained that the hitch required a support strap to use the rackTheir manager did respond to my purchase survey.

Ripped off! Overpaid for a simple roof rack system. Partially my fault for not shopping around more but after I purchased and installed the rack I found the same system for almost $200.00 less than what I paid for it. The worst part on Rack Attacks behalf is that I chose to have an emailed receipt and still have yet to receive it. No one will answer my calls when I call this store. Also the person helping me at this store wasnt the nicest. Ill never purchase anything from this store again. If youre in the Portland area dont waste your time or money here. Go to Rerack, much cheaper and they are definitely friendlier and more helpful.

I rarely use reviews as an outlet to express frustration, but Rack Attack has simply left me no choice. I had a rack system installed in June. In August, on a crowded freeway, the system and everything on it flew off the roof of my car. When I brought the car into Rack Attack to have the system fixed, they informed me that this had never happened occurred and assured me they would take care of the damage. However, the on-site manager didnt have the authority to do anything, so I waited months for him to speak with someone at corporate to come up with a solution. They never responded. Finally, I had to threaten legal action just to get a response. They responded by saying they would replace the system, but that the damage to the car was my responsibility. One $3,000 roof replacement later, and I cannot get Rack Attack to return my emails or calls for the refund or re-install they offered me. I have called the manager directly, I have called corporate, I have sent email after email, and been ignored. Finally I made an appointment, which I showed up to find there was no record of. This is the most pathetic, bush league operation I have ever done business with, and I have considered showing up to the store to stand outside and warn people about their behavior until they make this situation right. If youre thinking about racks for your car, dont buy them from these children. They dont deserve your business, and if anything goes wrong they certainly wont make it right. They either dont have the desire or the brain cells. My guess, its both.

Rack attack is awesome! Ordered a rack and they made it easy for me to pay over the phone and just pick it up! They brought it out to my car. Such a great experience and the employees are very helpful. This is the 4-5th time I’ve got rack items from them and they are always great.

Horrible communication. Ordered a hitch on 10/19, went in on 10/30 for my scheduled appointment to get it installed. When I arrived I was told it didnt come in. Not even an apology, or a sorry we should have called you. Its like it didnt even occur to them to reach out to me to tell me not to come in that morning for the appointment they had scheduled with me. I waited weeks longer with no communication from them, and finally just cancelled the order. I get the whole manufacturing delays Covid is causing and have no problem with being patient, but to not even have any consideration for your time makes you feel like you dont matter.

This place is just truly great. I had their Supervisor, Eric, install a custom Yakima rack on the roof of my WRX, and it looks and performs perfectly. He showed me all the different options to choose from, and thoroughly explained the benefits of each component. For the install, he reassured me everything would come out perfect, and let me inspect the vehicle before making any final alterations. I had a minor issue with a mount about 6 months after the install, and Eric and his team took care of me right away, fixed it the same day at no cost at all. Were often mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, skiing, towing a camper etc , all of which requires additional equipment on the car. Ive been coming to Rack Attack for years for tow hitches, roof racks, trailer wiring, hitch mounted bike racks, roof mounted bike racks, cargo straps, rocket boxes etc. Weve found car dealer and OE equipment is often not adequate for our use (ex: dealer roof racks arent wide enough to allow both a cargo box and a paddleboard or bike). Rack Attack has a huge selection combined with wonderful knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond to help. Prices are often equal or lower than online. And if its a simple install, theyre happy to do it for free. They have a host of parts in the back for that one piece you might be missing when switching racks between cars. Ive also found Portland East tends to be less busy than other locations. This is the place we recommend to all our friends! Taylor and team keep doing what you do!
