This is a review of the scheduling process, which ended up being so frustrating and full of incompetence that I went with another company. The Portland phone number given for repair claims actually is in Illinois, so this call center has hold times of up to 30 minutes, every single time. Scheduled appointments are not followed up with email confirmation, and so this company can claim whatever date they want for you appointment. I was told in a conversation on a Wednesday that my window repair was going to be the following Monday. When nobody showed or called by 3 p.m. on the day, I called (again, a 30-minute hold time). The rep I then spoke to said that my actual appointment was for the following Monday, almost two weeks after the claim had been made. This rep said he would move up my appointment to Wednesday, two days later. I called mid morning on Wednesday to confirm the appointment, and this time a rep said there was no record of the Monday conversation and, therefore, no appointment for Wednesday. There was a lame excuse about technical difficulties and a bit of calling into question whether I had even called. After a hold, the rep did acknowledge that I had called, but there was nothing more she could do.That was it for me. I called back my insurance company, and they were able to find a place that would do the job on Saturday. I spoke directly to the business, and an email confirmation was sent one minute after the call ended.The level of incompetence gave no faith in this company. The installers might do a fine job, but I didnt want to find out. Good luck to anyone trying to work with this company with an insurance claim.

Out of three auto glass companies, they had the cheapest price by $100 less and the first appointment available out of the threw. Service was patient and efficient. They get 10/10 in my book.

Super unprofessional customer service, took triple the amount of time to get it fixed as originally told, AND after everything, the windshield is LEAKING in the rain. Never going back here ever again. Terrible business.

I made an appointment for yesterday for them to come out and replace my window. They gave me a 2 hour window, which was closing so I called in to see when they would arrive. Business hours said open but the phone rand and rang and I could not get through to anyone- called about 5 times as I urgently need the window fixed. Very frustrated with this business. This may be unusual for them seeing as they have great reviews generally but currently would not recommend.

Glass of American needs to know how to run a proper schedule they couldn’t even keep a appointment had to reschedule me more than 3 times and i got to the point where i was done waiting i would recommend not going to them.

While driving home a semi spit out a couple rocks that left stars on our windshield. I call up Glass America, give them my insurance info, and was scheduled for the following day to meet at my home. That was incredibly fast! I was expecting just a quick business transaction, guy shows up, works on the car, accepts payment, leaves. That was my last experience with a mobile glass company, but the service I received was much better than that.Robert Garcia called me at the scheduled time to give me an approximate window as to when he would be there and called later to give me his ETA. Very appreciated! After showing him the stars, Robert explained to me the risks since this wasnt a normal star, it had actually chipped and cracked the glass (he wasnt up-selling me anything). He explained their warranty in detail, told me about the process of sealing the cracks, answered all the questions I asked, and made sure I understood all of my options in case the glass did crack and how my money would go toward replacing the windshield (no money wasted). Thankfully, everything came out fantastic and the stars are barely visible! Robert was very friendly, informative, and professional. Im calling these guys again!My only recommendation on improvement would be to give the drivers a mobile card reader instead of having them call in to make the transaction faster.

I had a great experience from start to finish. When I called I received fast friendly service along with a quote $100 less than two other quotes I had received elsewhere. Robert G was very friendly, helpful and responsive to my needs. He called right away to set up a window of when he’d be available to come and when it didn’t quite work for me, he moved his day around to accommodate me. Robert G was awesome!! He did an amazing job replacing our windshield, super professional and courteous as well. The windshield has a perfect seal and he did it in a really timely fashion. Robert was especially helpful by keeping in contact and making sure to give clear updates. A lot of companies give you the typical “Someone will be there between these hours”. We were told we’d be contacted anywhere from 8:30-9:00 AM; sure enough I got a call from Robert around 8:35. He was super transparent about letting me know when he’d be heading over and that he would call and give me a heads up. As promised, he called around when he said he would and gave a very clear estimate on when he’d arrive. He then arrived right on time and was very professional in person!Once he had completed the job, he made sure to give me all the info I needed and make sure I was happy with the end result. A dump truck had tossed a rock leaving a star in the drivers side windshield that quickly spread across feild of view making driving a hazard. I had called several other businesses in the area and got told I had to wait until Tuesday and was quoted over $300+. Needless to say I called these folks and got scheduled for next day.I was called the following day and notified there was a problem and I wouldnt be able to see a technician until the aforementioned Tuesday but before I could even think about being disappointed the lady at the desk informed me Id receive the same at home visit for $200. It is now Tuesday I was scheduled for noon and had to change the location of the visit due to working and the gentleman was very kind arrived three hours early and had it finished in just 30 minutes. The most amazing customer service Ive ever received and will definitely be recommending this company to all of my family and friends.

My car received a small chip in the front windshield as the result of a bird colliding with the car while it was in motion. Glass America dispatched Robert G to my location for a mobile repair. He inspected the windshield and explained that this was a pit that did not extend completely through the glass and was therefore not going to expand into a crack that would require a full windshield replacement. He applied a sealant that made the tiny pitted area almost invisible. His manner was very professional and reassuring, and he very quickly resolved the problem. I would recommend Glass America to anyone who encounters this kind of windshield damage!

They called me on Sunday and when I called them back of course there was no answer because theyre supposed to be closed on Sunday. Then after a lot of explaining we set the appointment from Monday to Thursday because they never showed up. I told them I cannot meet them until after 2, I told this to two different people three different times, they agreed that they would only send a technician after 2:00. Instead of them keeping their commitment, a technician called me early in the morning stating that he is almost to the location, I talked to him and ask him why he is coming in the morning when we agreed it would be after 2, the technician was rude and asked me numerous times why I could not make it in the morning like its any of their business. Finally after about 20 minutes they agreed to come at 2. I drove a long ways to get there on time and then I was told that they brought the wrong window. At this point I already spent 3 hours on them instead of helping a client which would have helped me make money. At this point I lost money and time and Im very frustrated. I was very nice and respectful while explaining to the company what was happening. Instead of them making it right, they threaten me that they were going to go and rip the window out of my car. A guy in Utah named Jacob was very rude and threatening. I was trying to get this done in Portland Oregon and it was a shameful mess on their side. Their company has some major systemic structural issues. If you want to save time and money and frustration then dont go with this shameful company.

Rock chip and cracked windshield. Accepted their quote got windshield replaced. However now having issues with them to fix the problems I have been having since installation.

This company doesnt show up for confirmed field appointments. When I called them, the telephone representative was nice enough, but essentially said too bad. With all the choices for autoglass replacement available, it is foolish to do business with a company like this.

Came to my house even; which is very convenient; except when they forget to tell me during scheduling that the windshield needs to be dry for 8 hours before repair. Important thing to mention in the Springtime in Oregon. Makes sense after being told, but I thought a simple wipe down would do the trick. I dont blame the guy who came to repair it, he has to do things the right way, but very frustrating to have to stare at the chip longer when I expected to have it repaired today.

If I could give this company less than a 1 star I would. I had the worst experience I’ve ever had with them. I called to have my window replaced and they were not able to fix for two days. I was okay with that. I asked the person if I needed to be at the house when the tech would fix it. They told me that I did not need to be there and to just leave my car unlocked. I did. Later I got a message from the tech saying he needing the keys. Short story is that it did not get fixed and spent time on hold talking to multiple people. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever received. Please save your time and do not go through this company. It will save you a lot of headaches.

They told me they had to order my glass and it would be 3-5 business days before they would receive it. On the sixth business day I called them and waited on hold 10 minutues before reaching someone. She had to see if the glass had arrived. She did call back promptly but said that someone from service would call me. I did not receive the call back so I called again on the 7th business day and again waited on hold. I left my number and someone did call back and said that the glass will be installed next Tuesday (15 days from original claim). I never received a call telling me this. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication. I hope that the glass installation is better quality than their communication.

Contacted Gerber who apparently sources their glasswork to Glass America and could not be more disappointed with the lack of urgency. Not only did I call twice to ensure appointment was still going to take place, when the technician arrived he arrived with the wrong glass. I understand mistakes happen, however laughing in a customers face about it with no urgency to fix the solution was where I draw the line. After probing him he was unable to take initiative to get the issue corrected so I decided to communicate with whom I thought would be able to reach a resolution.After speaking with the supervisor, Jake, who may be even less capable than Jason to be in his position, I was told that he was sorry that his system had a transposing error that caused us to see the correct part but assume it was for a 2016 Suburu Crosstrek, we have four other customers to service this afternoon what do you expect me to do?. If you are lost reading this at this point join the club because what started as a non-privacy glass system issue became a complete waste of an afternoon. After confirming there was no way to make this happen after sitting around waiting all day Jake hung up on me while I was stating my case to him to reinforce the lack of remorse and initiative this company takes when it comes to simple customer service. Adopt an appointing system that you stand by as offering a service that people set time aside in their day for is not an optional commitment. If you cannot deliver then dont commit.STAY AWAY, YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF ATTEMPTING TO FIX YOUR GLASS YOURSELF
