Seat n Sleep gets a 1* review from me, strictly due to the owner and his complete lack of customer service skills. I dont mind that I didnt get what I had hoped for. I dont even mind the two hour round trip drive I wasted. What bothers me is how rude and tactless he was. I wish I could tell you his name, but evident of his poor customer service skills, he didnt even introduce himself before telling me he had no desire to match a previous sale he had no more than three weeks ago. He then proceeded to tell me that I wont find another furniture store within 150 miles that has inventory, so he has no reason to make a deal. I sat on the furniture, it seems legit. But this man deserves no business acting the way he does in a professional, sales setting. If you look at the other reviews here, youll notice a trend mentioning how rude he is. Youll also notice that when someone has any other complaints, he does respond, but it never includes an apology for a bad experience. Its always defensive and why its not his fault. The bottom line is this: Had he just been a polite, empathetic business owner, not only would I have left a positive review, but I also would have recommended his business to others. Instead, not only did he lose a sale, he made an enemy; and it will be my pleasure to ensure none of my family, friends, or readers of this review give him their business.

We will recommend Seat n sleep to anyone. Reasonable prices and the service was outstanding. We have been looking for a new recliner for weeks and by far, the customer service here was the best. Jeans in Portage was very knowledgeable and polite, great job!

I am much pleased to have found a place to buy reliable furniture that will not go out of business and then keep my money while also unfulfilling the order. Seat N Sleep associates were very helpful and courteous and helped us to find exactly what we wanted and had us order it. The furniture we purchased had to be ordered so I will update a revision when my furniture comes and gets delivered to update my full experience and quality. So for right now as service and experience I give four, but after my furniture gets delivered and installed (White Glove Delivery Recommended) I will update to a five star.

Went to Sleep N Sleep Tuesday and purchased a mammoth sectional and I wanted to say the service I received was great! Ryan was very informative and was not pushy. I was happy to spend $3500 on all the bells and whistles. They delivered the furniture that evening and even brought another piece just in case I decided to go smaller. You just don’t get that kind of service now a days anymore and i was happy I decided to go there. Best place to get your furniture hands-down. They had a great deal on the recliners we were looking at but, it was set up like a car dealership. You had to have a tour guide with you at all times . The huy we had, didnt seem to want to be helping anyone. Chairs are great tho!

The sales people here are ABSOLUTE VULTURES. Like worse than any other furniture shop I have been to...they give u no privacy to browse and follow u the entire time. It is extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I couldn’t even have a conversation with the person I came with because they would chime in if I mentioned anything about a piece of furniture. I told the guy more than once that I would find him if I had questions...it still didn’t discourage him from continuing to follow us and join in our conversations. I decided to give it another chance and thought maybe I just got the worst sales guy ever...This was my third visit here..and it wasn’t an isolated incident. They apparently have these have this new covid policy that totally contradicts everything we know about covid....they add a sales person to your party so they literally force u to have an additional person for your whole visit. So..while the rest of the world is trying to decrease crowds Seat n Sleep waste to add people to them....she also said that it was to make sure we are social distancing. Well there was like one other couple in the whole store I can surely manage to stay 6 feet from them. Plus The notion that we need to be babysat to ensure we we are being decent and prudent human beings is not a good message to send to customers.I won’t waste my time here again.

I have never wanted to give a zero star review more.I ordered furniture from Seat n’ Sleep on January 2nd, 2021 and was told 3-6 weeks for delivery even with shortages due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. After waiting 24 weeks I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau stating the resolution I wanted was delivery of my furniture. Seat n’ Sleep had done a hard credit pull and throughout those weeks had continued to tell me maybe the following week. The communication from them was terrible and I had to call for all but one update. After the complaint was received, Kevin from Seat n’ Sleep reached out to try to resolve the situation. I was clear in both my BBB Complaint and on the phone with Kevin that for me, resolution was delivery of the furniture. On June 23rd, Seat n’ Sleep called to say they could deliver one third of the sectional, an ottoman, and the TV stand on Wednesday, June 30th. Progress, or so I thought. On June 28th, Kevin called me and he was frustrated that I had not rescinded my BBB complaint and they now had to respond to it. Because I did not want to rescind my BBB complaint until delivery of my furniture, Seat n’ Sleep decided they wanted to part ways with me. So after almost 6 months of waiting I have no furniture, a hard pull on my credit, and money tied up that will be returned without interest. I am beyond frustrated. I will also be escalating this to the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection for unfair business practices.

Surprisingly large selection.Edit: Its been over a month since we ordered an ottoman and still havent received it, despite their promise of a 2 week delivery. Zero follow-up from the sales people and nothing but empty apologies about why its not their fault when we called. Get your furniture from someplace else that is actually honest about their delivery times.Edit #2: after almost 12 weeks they called us to admit they have no idea when our order would come in. They offered us the used floor model, no discount, and no delivery even though we paid for it. This company is a bunch of thieves. Theyll take your money and leave you out to dry.

Ok. Im Jake Jacobs. Yes I won a real sectional from Seat N Sleep. Made the required PR trip today. Im from the East side of Michigan.Everyone at this place is very nice and personable. They, unlike most furniture stores near me actually Have Furniture !!!Anyway. NO SCAM that I experienced. Yes they deliver and yes that costs you money.Reading comments I suggest that IF they notified you, via Facebook that you won you need to contact them. You have 14 days to do so. If your a valid winner and do as instructed you will get you prize . Dont batch about it till youve done your part.Sorry for the lesson but they are good folks doing a good service. I would also recommended shopping there, they have a lot of stuff.By the way All I did to win was make a comment.

Very congested and just seems run down but the people are super nice and kinda willing to work with you. One of the financial plans they have sounds like loan sharking so just be careful.

Here is a list of reasons why you should not buy from Seat and Sleep-Poor Quality: I have had 3 of the same model couches in 3.5 years-Continues to sell/replace defective product: the replacement couch had the same issues as a previous couch-Poor Time Management and Communication: Several occasions they came outside of the designated time frame without communication-I question their customer services practices: as they have been unwilling to right this situationIf you would like more in depth details please read further:I have gone through 3 of the same couches in the past three and a half years. My last couch from Big Lots was $300 and lasted me the same time frame, so how is it that I have paid $1000 for one couch that has needed to be replaced twice in the past three and a half years. Not to mention the time I have taken out of my day and family members day to ensure someone is available in the designated time frame that a seat in sleep representative will be there only for the seat and sleep representative to arrive late without contact on several occasions.The first couch: It did not even last a full year. The decorative seam ripped the stuffing came out from under the recliner, which I was told was a common problem with this couch. A few months later the motor stopped reclining the couch. I was issued a new couch.The second couch: When it was delivered the delivery men tested it out and as they did that it made a noise, which I was told it was just the wood rubbing together because it needed to be worn in. A little while later the entire arm of the couch fell off.The third couch: I was upset after the events above, but the manager assured me he inspected this couch personally. This is the couch that lasted the longest, but after having it a few months over a year. I started noticing problems that only progressed. It started with randomly finding a nail from the couch, then the stuffing coming out (a known problem that they chose to ignore), and then my couch seat separating from the other side. When I called about this, they sent a repair man as this was past the warranty. The repair man came over and one of the bars under my couch was bent which he fixed. He then assured me that he would get an order in to fix the stuffing in my couch, It’s been two months and no contact. I cant use the recliner due to the stuffing falling out and the seat has separated again. The couch is now in even worse condition now, If you were to lay on it you would most likely end up with back problems as the bars stick in your side due to the separation. My friends have even commented on the poor quality and decline in this piece of furniture in the past year and a half.Couches should not start to feel uncomfortable in less than two years. This is absolutely an unacceptable quality of couch that has been chosen to be ignored. This is a business that does Freebee Friday contests and advertises about their great sales to get customers in the door, but does not care enough about their customers to discontinue poor quality products they are selling. A company with integrity would recognize the poor quality of product they provided their customer with and do what they could to make up for this. However this has not been the case in my experience and I am highly disappointed.

Bought a sectional and had it delivered. The salesman was very pleasant. When the couch was delivered it was curbside only the legs were not on the couch. When I called, I talked to the owner. He was very unpleasant and said due to covud we would need to put the legs on once we got the sectional in the house. I got that, but told him we should have been told that when we bought the couch. He said his salesmen were not required to do that. Ok fine, we are seniors and we ended up doing it ourselves, but his whole demeanor was unhelpful. The Manager called back and made it better, but we would not buy from them again. The quality and price is no different than other places we looked. We just wanted to give a small business our business.

Terrible customer service! Nothing but endless deadlines in getting our furniture! It was ordered in May and we are now at the end of October with still pieces missing and now waiting for repairs under warranty to be done. The same story everytime, Hopefully this truck. Tried to just return it and get something different as they are unable to complete our set that we paid for but nope...Hopefully this truck every stinking time! I STRONGLY suggest shopping elsewhere! This is beyond ridiculous and we have been patient and understanding but enough is enough and make it right with the customer!

Seat n sleep did a great job helping us get the new furniture we wanted for our NEW living room! Our home had a car parked in the living room/garage of our house back in June. The guys were very helpful and were not too pushy. Ryan took great care of everything and helped us maximize our budget. He explained everything perfectly and also helped me understand my paperwork with the insurance claim on our furniture. The delivery guys were awesome and got everything put together for me and arranged exactly how it was wanted. They took amazing care of us and we got an AMAZING deal! I would deffinently recommend buying your furniture from these guys!

I bought an $800 sectional couch from there and when u have a sectional most of them hook together. Ours does NOT and u can feel the springs in each cushion. Not that satisfied😞

I bought a couch on July 27, 2020. Today is September 16, 2020. I do not have my couch. I was told that it would be delivered to their store on August 15, 2020. I did not hear from the company so by August 17, 2020 I called because I did not hear from them. The gentleman told me that it would be delivered on September 15, 2020. Well today is September 16, 2020. I had to call them, still no couch delivered to their store. They tried to tell me that the couch would be delivered the first week in October. I was over it. They take peoples money when the product isnt even made, they do not call you to let you know what is going on, and just seem to be extremely unorganized. I did ask for a refund, because they can not lower the price of a couch to get me something different.

I took a chance on a business 2 1/2 hours from my home that I have never been to. From the start of ordering over the phone, I was presented with patience and kind service. When we got to the store to pick up my sectional there were only friendly faces and amazing service! I was nervous about buying a couch I had not seen in person and they were kind enough to show me the floor model without me asking and were very informative about it. I will definitely be returning in the future and recommending to all my friends! I used to dread going to furniture stores as they had all been very pushy and not personable, but Seat N Sleep has really changed my mind on that!

I went looking for a new living room group and checked out 4 different furniture stores. Seat n Sleep was the best of all the stores. Great Customer Service! You dont get bombarded when you walk through the doors. There are, however, very knowledgeable staff who will help guide you and give you product information if you need it. I appreciated the honesty from my salesperson about specific items that probably wouldnt work well for me and my family. Everything is reasonably priced and great quality. I LOVE that most of the items you can take with you the same day if you choose to opt out of delivery. I do believe they offer same day local delivery as well. The staff was very knowledgeable about their payment and finance options as well, which is a rarity in the furniture sales industry, in my experience. I was very pleased with my experience and my furniture, and would definitely recommend Seat n Sleep to my friends and family.

If I could rate this a zero I would. The OWNER of this store is the rudest, most inconsiderate man I have ever come across in a business setting. If you are planning to buy furniture from him, I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

No high pressure sales. Ryan was wonderful. Let us take our time looking around even though it was close to closing time. Got a great deal on a sectional. It was more than half off even with furniture protector added in. Wont be buying furniture from anyone else.

Sad to leave this review. The couch I bought was a good price, but their delivery service is the worst and not customer centered. I was available for the specified 5 hour delivery window from 12-5pm, and I wasted PTO time to be home. They finally showed up after 5:50 which made me late for a commitment I made at 6:30, and the corner of my chaise was damaged.The drivers were apparently told to deliver something to Indiana before doing the local deliveries??! When I called the store, Ryan had a negative attitude and said a deliver within half an hour of the time frame given is acceptable. On my receipt it clearly states delivery b/t 12-5. I paid a $100 delivery fee. The couch was delivered a full hour late, and I received a damaged product. I did not ask them to replace it LARGELY b/c I never want to have to work out a time with them again and b/c the damage isnt major. However, I gave up PTO to meet their expectation only to be treated like I was being irrational when I requested some compensation/credit back for the delivery fee.

Dont waste your money! Furniture was damaged. Last week the delivery guys caught the Dresser damage because it was very visible that something hit the box before they even opened it, so they replaced it. A week later I noticed damage to the Chest that wasnt very visible. So I called them and they said well call you back, but never did, so I called again and they said, of course, per their policy they wouldnt replace it. After sending me damaged furniture now Im responsible for this damage in their eyes. But thats fine Ill spend my money elsewhere next time.

Two years ago we purchased a mattress and had to return it. It was nothing like the model

Customer service seems to be pretty good. The quality of the furniture here seemed decent, they have a broader price range to give you more options. The delivery guys were good people, but theyd had a long day and were an hour and a half late. The pricing on most things seemed reasonable, but Id shop similar styles to be sure. I saw a couch and chair that were the same as another store marked $100 a piece over the other store. We ended up buying some things here and felt like the value was competitive. Overall it has been a good experience so far.

Seat n Sleep is the most awesome furniture store I have been in. They have a huge selection with as many as 28 rooms full of furniture. They carry any and all furniture you would need for your home. They also have a huge variety of barstools and chairs. Plus, pictures and rugs. Highly recommended.

We have bought lots of stuff from seat n sleep and never had any problems until this last purchase!We purchased a brand new very expensive catnaper sectional with two motorized reclining pieces .We also purchased the protection packages as well !Almost 4 months ago we called seat n sleep because one of the motorized recliners was catching.Seat n sleep sent out someone to fix it .Ok awesome no big deal .Almost 2 months later the same motorized recliner breaks again and 2 different pieces of sectional have the sticking coming out of them !So we call seat n sleep again .They come take pictures and tell us they will submit them to the manufacture.The person that was helping us was awesome and is doing everything to try to help us !However parts were shipped to our house !Our couch is still not fixed !There has not been any update as to when someone will be coming to repair the couch,.So we are paying on a couch we can’t really use because it’s broken and it’s not even a year old ,And because one of the slits had gotten so bad by the time they finally made it out to look at the couch it’s not covered!Needless to say we will probably not be purchasing anything else from seat n sleep !Never had this problem before, we had purchased lots of stuff from this company over the years !

When we got there we received no pressure to buy anything else, we were offered to look around in a completely non-committal way. We also came with the intention, and did purchase a mattress and support that was on the Facebook Special; the Bodi-Form Gel Queen Mattress and Support. The set was an amazing price, and we were able to take everything home the same day we bought it. I also loved that they used the products they sold. Like the clock on the wall? You can buy it. Like the table in the restroom? Thats for sale too!People said I was crazy driving an hour and a half, but the price (plus gas) was still way better then anything near me!Thanks Seat and Sleep, your entire staff was awesome!

I know Seat n Sleep has had mixed reviews but I went here all the way from Holland, MI to buy our couches for our new house. They do a giveaway on Facebook every week and give a lucky person a chance to win a piece of furniture. My fiance and I bought two sectionals from here. Granted we havent gotten to use the sectionals yet and we havent had any experience with trying to return or honor the warranties but the service we had while picking out the couches was great. The owner was very nice and he has quite the sense of humor. We went on a busy Saturday and we still were helped out. The staff was laid back and didnt pressure us into buying anything. If you signup for their email list you can get a % discount. If anything changes Ill update my review. :)

Won a coach there great people nice coach

I had ordered a Sectional which I still love and is very comfortable. But in the processes of getting it and the right one was a mess. I told the sales lady I wanted the Chase on the right side and when we picked it up and brought it home, it was on the left. So we called and they wanted to charge us $80 to deliver the right sectional and pick up the wrong one. We explain to Adam (owner) that we shouldnt have to pay $80 cause it was a simple mistake from the sales lady that just started working there a few months prior to our visit. He instantly was mad at us and his choice of words were not very nice or professional for his title. We proceeded to tell him that even in his Satisfaction Guarantee-Furniture that it stated delivery fee will apply if it is needed for the exchange unless the exchange or re-delivery is for damaged, defective or incorrect merchandise as assigned on the signed sales order. Which ours was an incorrect merchandise. Long story short, Adam said we could pay $40 for it to be exchanged so we werent going to argue with him anymore cause apparently customers are always wrong when dealing with him. Im hoping he was just having a bad day and isnt always like that towards his customers because they have great deals and nice furniture and having bad customers service will ruin a business but what do I know, Im just a customer and Adam is always right.

My fiancé and I went in and ordered a couch and two recliners on October 22, they told me the latest it would take is 6-8 weeks, but it usually never takes that long. Fool on me for believing that! 8 week mark would have been December 17th! I didnt get my couch until the Wednesday after that and yes only my couch apparently they couldnt find my chairs or they got damaged! And do to the holidays only days away I would have to wait tell the begging of the year to get my chairs! We paid extra for shipping to out house and yes they did give us free shipping for the chairs as they should have. So I call on the 3rd of January the manager tells me they will be in the next Wednesday (Jan. 11), so I call on the Tuesday before to confirm that my chairs well be arriving and they couldnt tell me and said they would call me back what a surprise I got no call back. Wednesday (the day my chairs where supposed to be in) I call back and get told that a drive quite blah blah blah... Sorry I understood the first time having trouble but at this point it is a little ridiculous!! IT TOOK 12 & 1/2 WEEKS FOR MY FURNITURE TO COME IN. Adam (manager?) told me he would do something for me cause of all the problems they have given me, no surprise as he did not! I was excited to buy from them, but I well never go back. I guess you get what you pay for cheaper than other stores, but it is also made cheap too!

Jessica Bhuyan was a great contact. She talked us through what kind of mattress my wife and I had, what we wanted and what kind of budget we thought wed have. Jessica didnt try to upsell us, she listened and she had a couple great options.Pricing was good - we dont feel like we had to break the bank, yet we dont feel like we bought a mattress of some guy in a van down by the river.Delivery was good. I like that Seat & Sleep calls a day or 2 before to set up a window, then calls the morning of delivery to tighten that window. Corey and Jacob delivered our bed - they were professional and pleasant, getting the job done quickly without judging my messy house (we were moving rooms and weve had a busy summer!)Over all, it was a great experience. And I was happy to learn that this is a locally-owned business, not some franchise. We supported local folks and got a great deal.
