The location on 28th and Indian School has the best customer service. From the beginning to the end of the move they have been so helpful and kind. I would recommend using them anytime you have a big or small job.

We drove all the way to this location for a trailer just for them to tell us we need the top on for our Jeep. Okay, no problem, we will absolutely drive home and go put it on. We didn’t know, innocent mistake. We drove all the way back home, all the way back there, just for them to tell us “oh, you need the doors on too”.I don’t know if the two workers thought it was funny or a joke or prank but I cannot believe the lack of professionalism. They clearly saw our car pulling up and could have told us, “hey put the roof AND the doors on”. - and that would have been the end of that. But they decided to act the way they did.

I received a truck with absolutely no fuel. The light was on E. I informed the employee and he said I would get reimbursed if I put the fuel myself- spent $55 on fuel- the cost to rent the truck for less than 3 hours was about $13 considering I did not drive more than 2 miles. I tried to reach out via email and nobody helped me to get the rest of the reimbursement. The truck ended costing me the entire gas cost plus the $13 I was charged.

When I was done with my move I still had belongings left in the uhaul that I needed to transfer to my vehicle once I returned the uhaul. It was at 6pm right when they were closing for the night and I asked one of the uhaul staff if they could help me and they were very helpful and I was able to be on my way.Thank you for going beyond your job description.

Personnel were friendly and efficient. They even brought my van to the front door for me. Check in and check out were fast and easy. My van was exceptionally clean.

Anna and Nathan at the 26th st and Indian school location in Phoenix, AZ were AMAZING. We had trouble getting the lights to turn on and they went above and beyond to get the wiring on our vehicle corrected to get us on the road safely. They are exemplary employees the company is lucky to have!

The poor reviews are well justified. Uhaul is the most expensive place to get propane, but is the only place open on weekends. However, none of them seem to have any available in the first place, so why advertise it? I called this place 6 times to try and find out if they have propane, never answered. Wasted 10-15min driving there just to wait in a line for 5 min after hitting the button for service twice patiently. I had to find an opening between customers just to ask real quick if they had propane, no surprise, they didn’t. Putting a sign up at the call button outside would simply be too much work apparently.This place is understaffed and does not care about your time. Uhaul is never getting my business as they don’t deserve it, or yours. Find somewhere else to rent moving equipment or buy propane from that actually respects your time and business.

I don’t think I’ve ever in my 46 years had such a smooth experience renting & returning anything. Kudos to whomever manages this place, as it’s run friendly, efficiently, & out performed my expectations.

My first experience with Uhaul. Anna, the manager helped us and she couldn’t have been more professional or more helpful. Smooth transaction and I will be renting there for the future.

I worked with Sean and his team directly over the past two months. I have nothing but positive things to say about this facility. They were always accommodating and went out of their way to help with my move. I lived in the downtown area, and recently moved out to the west valley. Due to my positive experiences with this team, I will continue to have a storage unit at this facility. While it is out of my way, I know that my furniture will be in good hands! I highly recommend this facility for all your moving and storage needs!

Left front tire had very little tread. had to call roadside assistance before i even left. had an issue with valve stem leaking on right rear tire on return trip and had to call roadside assistance again. upon returning the vehicle.....spoke with a waiting customer who had issues with a blowout on a tire. my advice......start maintaining the tires!!!!!!

The gentleman who assisted with getting me checked in was awesome! Super friendly, explained everything to me, asked me if I need help moving my furniture, (cross selling services) and when the original vehicle I was supposed to take had a check engine light, (discovered before I even got the vehicle), apologized and quickly went through everything to get it switched over to a new vehicle for me. I would say check in from start to finish was less than 10 minutes and returning was a snap as well. Second time I’ve rented from this location and both times they did an awesome job.

Great experience with this location. The truck was ready when requested. I reserved it online and the whole process was pretty simple. I would definitely use this location again.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodated changes I needed to make for drop off arrangements. Unfortunately, this did not get communicated effectively with the staff when we returned the truck and this caused a LOT of stress, when dropping off.

I called to get a quote on a hitch for my car. The person that answer the phone could not be more pleasant. Great service.

Everything went smooth for my rental. The trailer was ready when I got there. Check out and hook up was quick. Drop off was easy too. Place was neat and orderly. No complaints.

Aggressively neutral experience here.Opted to do the self pickup early to try and beat the heat but their lockbox was broken- turns out using the app made by U-Haul is important since the web browser doesn’t read the code on the building.After talking to customer service I received a phone call from the manager, he wasn’t super understanding but ended up helping me get it sorted.Ultimate downside was that the truck he point out to me was blocked in when I initially showed up, would have been sol either way.

My Husband and I went to this location after we was treated unprofessionally at Budget Truck rental right next door to this location. The man that help us was very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to help us get a truck at the same price we was paying at Budget. Saved our moved to Colorado and i cant thank them enough. Would definitely recommend.

2nd worst U-Haul in Phoenix, right behind the one on 24th St and McDowell. Always understaffed, always rude. One would think that being just a few miles from the mother ship that U-Haul would have their act together. For a family owned business, they truly just dont care :-(

Your employee who handled the inside paperwork was rude and nodisrespectful.of my brother who rented trailer. I was there in case he needed any help as he us 81. He is very capable both physically and mentally but is hard of hearing in one ear. Your employee embarrassed him and was completely disrespectful. It made me mad for brother but he was so upset he asked me to let it go so he could get out of that of room people who saw it all. I have rented several times in recent years and have recommended you to many people over the years as has my brother. But we will never come rent again and will tell everyone on how poorly your employee acted. Another employee even committed as he hooked the trailer which had improperly working lights but didnt want to deal with the guy inside as well didnt so drove away just to get out of the most unprofessional situation I have seen in.over 60years dealing with the public. I only now saw this request .

Excellent customer service

I rent two dozen trucks from this location each year for a Rummage fundraiser. Every Sunday, the folks at this location are always super helpful and ensure we can get on the road quickly. They consistently go above and beyond and take great care of their customers.

Returned the trailer I rented before the agreed upon time. I was overcharged. This location reported that I returned the trailer the next day. Huge wait in line during trailer return. Due to the wait, lazy staff did not check in the trailer at the time of return. I received an email the next day with a bloated amount that I did not agree to. Im very dissatisfied.

Ive had to use this Uhaul location a few times and every time they do a great job. Alexander is the nicest guy and very helpful when it comes to moving and driving. I had so many questions and Alexander answered every one of them with care. Thank you, Alex!

The rep at the front desk presented to be a annoyed, refused to show me a storage unit and did not have the best customer service, I will not be returning back for services.

Hands down the most unprofessional, careless interaction I’ve ever had at a uhaul location. I will never give this location my business again. Even other local Uhaul locations in my area were taken aback when hearing of my customer service story. Do yourself a favor and hire a local moving company.

Went to make a reservation and the rep was trash. Upon picking up the U-Haul the U-Haul had not been cleaned ( covered in trash, snacks and spilt drinks, had a foul smell) half a tank of gas, wouldn’t start properly, windshield wipers were old and did not work, doors didn’t close properly so rain went through. Pathetic worthless lazy staff who doesn’t care about their job. Go elsewhere.

The Sunday crew at U-Haul is the best! Always willing to help, answer questions, and help.Junior League of Phoenix uses this location at least twice a month and never have an issue.

I got a U Box here at this store and the folks here were always very attentive and polite. I was moving from Phoenix to FL and opted to fill the U Box on their lot instead of towing it to our apartment. It took us about 2 weeks and 6 visits to fill the container by driving our belongings to the U Box. It was placed in the back of their lot under a covered area with other U Boxes. Each time we needed access to it, we just called to ask to have it pulled out. When we finished for the day, they placed it with the door against other U Boxes to keep it safe since the covered area wasnt secured (besides fencing). I felt pretty safe here and had no issues. The folks here were very quick to get the box out when I called and they put it away when we were finished. We found the U Box to be the most inexpensive way to move across country, so far. The total was around $1400 for delivery to the nearest U Haul in our new FL location. An extra $140 or so to have it delivered from there to the house if we want, but we havent decided on that yet. Bottom line on the Indian School and 26th St. U Haul location: Excellent service, safe location and easy access from 7am to 7pm.

I rent from here all the time because its cheaper than rental car. These people are always nice and dont waste any time to help your moving and storage needs. If youre going to use the rental a little longer just tell them, they dont mind. They are always happy to help. I will always consider these guys when needing a rental before any other location or company.

Gave my trailer reservation away to the guy in line right in front of me. I called him out and he had nothing to say. Had to drive to another location. They dont know what their doing over here.

They were happy to take my NEW propane tank when I initially came in for an exchange. Now the one they gave me they tell they cannot exchange or refill because its too old! How much for a new one? $35.00 then another $15.00 to fill it?!?! How convenient that now you want me to buy your new one!! Ill pay more somewhere else just so you dont get the revenue!! If youre going to do this to your customers...at least buy them dinner first! Extremely disappointed...karma will get ya one day!!

Rip-off artists! Overcharged the final bill. When I did the math, they knew the figures wouldnt compute! Started making excuses why they charged the extra $10.50 - said for gas! I said that gas meter was correct as when it left. They said it was a tad slightly lower, said 1/4 gallon. Az 87 gas is $2.29/gal!!! How can 1/4 gal cost b$10.50. Thieves would do that! Really a bunch of crooks! Stay away!!!!!!

It took forever to check out the skinny guy behind the counter was not so great ans was extremely blunt and rude but a larger gentlemen quickly took over my rental when he realised that things werent going so smoothly. And that guy had exalent customer service. I rented a pick up truck to go to delta Colorado. the Chevy Silverado truck (great choice in truck may i add) ran great the entire way there and back. The truck was spotless and smelled great when i got it. The price was fantastic for a long trip like this. Droping off the truck was a breeze thanks again.

We filed a reservation at a uhaul and they made a mistake. They called this place and told them we where on the way 5 minutes. We walked up 2 minutes before they closed and they had locked up early. Not only did they not have the customer service or curdesy to wait they told is to bad we are closed. This is no way to run a business at all.

The 2626 indian school rd indoor storage facility in Phx AZ is not secure and I-d like to share my experience of being robbed of $1000 worth of personal items and subsequently being ignored by uhaul until i contacted the BBB. I rented a 10 x 10 unit at this facility for 2 months. Upon moveout, i was alerted that i had an item on the wire roofing above my unit. When i went to retrieve it, I saw the=at the wire roofing seemed to be rolled up. I later noticed i was missing my bike, a suitbag with 3 suits, several dress shirts, ties, dress shoes, a bag full of shoes, and possibly more. Uhaul had immediately sent me a message asking about my experience. I shared my experience and thought that theft would warrant some response. Nothing. I sent a detailed message to uhaul. Nothing. I mailed public relations a detailed message. 5 days later, i get a message on my phone from the mgt at the site reminding me i didnt request insurance. I go through the online support and was told i could get email contact for my personal records. I get another call from the same person. I go again through online support and was told that i had already been told to fill out a police report. I requested copies of the online support messages. Nothing. And then i shared my experience with the AZ Better Business Bureau. That is when the manager of the site finally decided to send me a message claiming that security had been enhanced since my incident and reminded me again i elected no insurance. I knew from the beginning i had no insurance. I knew uhaul would be intent on not assuming any liability regarding this issue. My main issue is i wanted to see what it meant to uhaul that a customer could do business with them, lose $1000 at their secure site, and see their response. Ive been ignored, Ive been lied to, Ive been enlightened. I will never do business with uhaul again. It took a week to even have access to leave this review. There are no locks for your roof and i never imagined id need one. If you do business here, add getting the insurance to the actual cost of the unit. I legitimately question if i had the insurance if this would have even happened. The person that pulled my bike through the roof is on tape. There are plenty of cameras at the site. My losing $1000 worth of belongings is just not important enough to investigate and it never will be. uhaul really doesnt care

Very poor experience. I called for a quote to get a hitch put on my car. I explained I wanted to rent one of their motorcycle trailers & it needed to meet that standard. Quoted me a “full price” and even followed up with a call a few days later to close the sale. I agreed & when I got there I found it was $100 to hook up lights. Considering I told them I’d just bought the car & I was going to use a trailer, they should have suggested that. After install I realized I needed a slightly larger trailer & asked they guy at the counter if it was ok. He had my car, knew the hitch info, trailer weight & load on trailer and he just told me it would be too heavy. Did not even bother to calculate it. I called another UHaul to double check & the info this store gave was wrong. I’d rent from U-Haul, but not this location.

Good service and a newer pickup on very short notice. Clean and smooth experience.

Tried to reserve a van with the web app. Once we arrived, the app made me enter the same information over and over again. Absolute garbage and huge waste of time. Then U-Haul called, asked some random question and hung up. Took 3 times as long to do this with the app as it would have to just go to the counter.

Helped us get all set up and helped me hook up my car to tow. Very friendly and nice guys!
