Weve purchase too many yards of fabric to count from this staple of Phoenix, SAS Fabrics. Youll want to go frequently as their stock does rotate out regularly. Youll find huge variety of fabrics: upholstery, blends, cotton prints, plastic, outdoor, knits, faux fur, corduroy, and the like. You will not find silk. The prices cannot be beat. If you look long enough or thoroughly enough -- youll probably find what you need. Additionally, they have high quantities of notions that a ton of fun to sort through. Go there and get inspired.

Dirty, unorganized, funking music playing loudly. Just felt nasty and unsafe, odd material. I bought nothing. Most material is folded in large stacks and not labled properly. Where does that material come from?

Good place to get vacuum bags and filters for my older vacuum cleaner. Couldnt find anywhere else. Also good for many other things: sewing, needlework, crochet, and so on. I will go back to them for my vacuum cleaner materials. You can also order from them online too. Thiss a very big store.

This is my favorite fabric store and its been around for thousands of years. They have a great selection, great prices, and a friendly staff that will help and assist as needed. And of course they also have sewing, yarn and craft accessories.

This store is huge. If you cant find it here, you are needing a specialty store (for the most part?) Of course like all SAS stores, their fabric cutting system needs to be re-evaluated. I dont see why the process couldnt be streamlined. Takes forever to get through the cutting process. Even with four or so cutters every time Ive been, its a good 10 minutes standing in line.

The store was great but it was so hot without air conditioning or fans that we really couldnt stand to stay very long. Definitely spoiled our experience

My visit was most enjoyable. I was helped by a woman at the back register. When most people are so rude and grumpy, she was sweet and kind. Her dark hair was up and in a big bun and she helped my mother and I. I didnt get her name but she was so kind. thank you

This place is awesome!!!! A bit overwhelming because there is soooo much there (not cluttered though, very neat and organized). I wanted some cheap outdoor fabric for an umbrella. Didnt want to spend a fortune, as its not going to last in AZ sun. Found just what I wanted from variety of fabric. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and the prices are fair. They have everything!!! (even belly dancing belts with bling!! Lol). Cant wait to go back and explore.

SAS has great prices on millions of fabrics, trims, wedding supplies and more ... and more and more! The hours are great and parking is abundant. The employees are very knowledgeable about fabrics, quilting supplies, and sewing instruction and tips. SAS also has a good selection of leather and faux leather materials as well as hides. If youre into sewing, quilting or anything fabric related AND never been, I strongly suggest you treat yourself and visit SAS. Its worth a look!

Lots of quirky odds and ends for the crafter or seamster. Great place for creative costume needs. Lots of different materials for weddings or even upholstery. Dont expect to find everything needed like patterns. One has fabric weighed and/or measured. Then stand in another line to pay.

A lot of fabric choices and colors. Everthi by you would need to see your own clothes, make house items such as curtains or bedspread or quilts, or even what you need to make a Halloween costume...which is what I did from this last visit! Everyone loved the skirt I made.

They have an amazing selection and it is different at each store. The staff is extremely helpful. And you can find some really unusual items when you start digging into the stacks. It is my go to for fabric and craft stuff.Only negative is that the climate control in all the stores is not great. I tend to avoid shopping on extreme AZ summer days because it is so uncomfortable inside the store.

I love SAS!Reminds me of a NYC fabric store, huge selection of fabrics and trims!! Only issue I have is minimum is 1yard cuts, and sometimes for small crafts you dont need all that fabric.

I went to SAS looking for upholstery fabric. I found some nice options at very good prices. However, there are not many choices. There is a huge selection of fabrics, just not enough in the upholstery department. There is a good section of outdoor fabric; again, amazing prices. The employees are extremely helpful and pleasant. One other thing I found unusual: they will not give out more than one sliver of a sample. You may be considering a few fabrics, but you get just one tiny sample. That is ridiculous. Overall I think its a good store with excellent pricing.

I have been going to this SAS for over 25 yrs and it has changed so much. Before it was a room with hundreds of big boxes full of fabric. Everything was sold by the pound. But now...nice shelves with fabric folded neatly as well as many bolts of beautiful material sold by the yard at super low prices. If you are looking for wedding accessories or making your own dress...do yourself a favor and check out SAS. You will pay 75% less than at bridal shops for jewelry,veils, tiaras etc. They have leather hides as well as any trim you could ever want. They have upholstery material at silly cheap prices too. Trust me...you wont leave empty handed.

Wildly better prices than anywhere else Ive been to in the area ,along with a huge inventory. I could spend the day wandering around the place. Love it.My only criticism is Id like to see a little more high end fabrics and some colors and prints that are a little more chic .

I was sick by the time I got out of there. It is so hot in there you dont even want to shop. I feel so sorry for the people that work there. I had so much more I wanted to buy but the conditions in the store did not allow you two stay very long. People were complaining about how hot it was.

Lots of fabric. A little disorganized which was frustrating. I was looking for quilting cottons for masks. What I found was largely seasonal. Most of it priced as high as any other fabric store. The prices were often hard to find as well. I probably wont go back to this location.

It wasnt as spectacular as I was leaving to believe. But I did find a few things I liked. The store its self was too warm inside.

Insane amounts of a large variety of materials. Great parking. Not too hard to find, but traffic can be a pain for getting in and out of. Some days, extra help would be nice.

Great Place

Nothing special, but the stores fabric selection does have variety and quantity. If you need synthetics or cow hide leathers youll find some interesting food for thought. They have a very limited sewing supply selection however and should never be relied on for even basic sewing equipment so have a backup. Employees are quiet and the only one who knows anything is the little lady in the back.

I love to sew, and now I have a place that makes my habit sustainable! The prices are great, the staff is friendly, and thebplace is clean and well organized. We had a great time looking through all their goodies and finding hidden gems tucked away. My daughter loved the 25 cent scrap bin! Cant wait to come back!

This place is AWESOME! They have such a large selection of fabrics and you can get these fabrics in lengths suitable for historic costuming. I wish we had one of these in Tucson!!!!

The customer service is not not there online it shows the store closes at 6 o’clock but it actually closes at 5pm

I have one big pro and one big con. On the positive side, this store is HUGE. There are so many options for fabric, embellishments, anything you could possibly think of. It was like a candy store for those who love to sew.On the negative side, the air is very uncomfortable in the store, especially considering we have hot summers here. The swamp coolers do not cut it here in Arizona. After 30 minutes of walking around my mother and I felt like we were going to pass out. Keep in mind, we have health issues and I know this wont affect everyone, it was simply my personal experience.Overall the experience was okay! If not for the environment making us feel unwell, we loved the shop!

The review comparing 19th Ave to Indian School is very true. The staff at 19th Ave cant seem to do enough for a customer whereas the workers at Indian School seems to go out of their way to ignore customers and questions. But both stores have a great deal of interesting be fabrics and notions.

Very big selection of fabrics and materials! We found what we needed and then some. Staff were very helpful kind and quick.Just one tiny note for the owner. I realize its a warehouse environment, but holy heck you need to do something about the climate in the store. Your employees are elderly and its almost 100 degrees in there during a hot phoenix summer. I was worried for the little old ladies in that shop, but they were still going strong!

The best fabric store. My wife and my mother love coming to this store, they come 24/7 to buy fabric for dresses and projects that they do. The people here are always so friendly with us. And they even gave us a really cold water bottle for free so that was great! 👍 Its a great store also because it has a variety of fabrics. Totally recommend it.
