Small cakes are very good at there customer service, they just want the customer to be satisfied. I asked for a chocolate rich cake, and it was delicious. I don’t have words to express how good it was. The design was exactly the same I wanted. Baked properly, icing and quality perfect. It was a vegan cake and it taste amazing. Recommended

We had Smallcakes back in New Mexico where I moved from last year. We had a birthday party for my doggo Macie and they make the cutest mini cupcakes and had to have some. I called to see if they had any and told me they were making fresh ones. I told them I wasn’t able till come till after 6pm which was closing. They indicated they were willing to wait which was delivering above and beyond. I highly recommend this location.

We needed a custom smash cake the same day for our daughters 1st birthday, and Stephanie went above and beyond to get it done for us!! She was up to the challenge (unlike a few other bakeries I talked to) and super helpful with everything. We sent her a couple design ideas and she made a beautiful design for us for a reasonable price. She even finished the cake earlier than agreed. It was delicious and worked perfect for the occasion. It was a pleasure ordering from Smallcakes and we will definitely use them for our next occasion. Thanks again!

When I went in for a dessert on a Wed shortly before closing there was only one cupcake left in the case. So I got the over-priced gooey ice cream. I asked for a regular sugar cone, but the manager gave me, and charged me for a waffle cone. Was supposed to be eggnog flavored, but had no hint of nutmeg. Then, when I questioned why he was wearing a mask as they do nothing to stop viruses, he yelled at me to get out. SO rude. I dont care how pretty their cakes may be, Ill never return.I did not refuse to wear a mask, I politely explained that I cannot wear one as I have both a medical & religious exemption. He did agree to serve me, but then demanded that I leave, without answering my question, even though no other customers were in the shop.

I received these vegan delicious cupcakes from heaven for my birthday! They tasted better than any non-vegan cupcakes Ive ever had and my family and I are absolutely obsessed! Not even joking. Best cupcakes. Ever!! Moist cake with the most delicate and not-too-sweet frosting. I almost ate all 6 myself. I could have. But I was nice and shared! Ridiculously delicious!

I ordered a cake for my husband’s birthday from here. Though they were pretty booked on cakes on my pick up date, Stephanie was able to fit my order in. The cake was the cutest and of course moist and delicious. My husband absolutely LOVED it. My sister who has a sweet tooth and loves the cupcakes there, picked up the cake for me. Stephanie gave her 2 cupcakes for free and carried the cake to the car for her. Stephanie is just good people and I highly recommend her.

Smallcakes is simply the best at what they do. This past weekend they made our wedding cake for us and it came out perfect and full of delicious flavors (strawberry champagne and snickerdoodle.) They have also done birthday cakes for us and graduation cup cakes. The very best. Their customer service is outstanding and welcoming. Smallcakes is now the only place we will go to for our cake needs!

Keep track of your cake decorations and cake toppers if you take it to them. I order a specific cake topper for my daughters cake and took to them to put on the cake, I go pick up the cake and they claim they lost the cake topper. To say I’m mad is an understatement, never getting something from this store. Yes they gave me the money for it, but that’s not the point, now my daughters cake has no cake topper and looks just plain and ugly. They had one job, one job and they failed. I called once to get a quote for a custom cake for my daughters birthday. The first thing the guy said was that his cakes were expensive and they were not the same price as the grocery store ( assuming that I am only used to the cakes from the grocery store) because their cakes were high quality. I think this guy had to clarify this because I have an accent and he assumed I cant afford his expensive and very special cakes! I if it was not discrimination, then he needs urgently a training in sales and marketing! I will never get a cake from this place even if they cost 1 dollar and they are the most exquisite cake in the whole planet,. The fact, is the man who answered the phone answered his cakes were expensive and not the same price as the grocery store. It was not recently but every time I shared this story, people told me to write a review. I was hesitant to do it but I decided to do it.. If you take reviews as a way to grow and be better then take it, instead of denying it. If it was discriminatory because of my accent too bad if it is ignorance in attending clients then you need to give a special training to all your staff so you can offer a better service.....One more time you are showing you arrogance denying my review instead of taking it as an opportunity to make things better!

Ive only been here twice, one time out of curiousity, and loved the cupcakes we took home that day,very moist and soft and HUGE (like literal small cakes lol), and today when I picked up some custom cupcakes for my sisters birthday. Customer service was just 10/10 both times, very patience with all my questions and ideas, and just awesome. The cupcakes were AMAZINGLY DESIGNED and exactly what I pictured in my head and not at all disappointed with the presentation. My sister LOVED them, and I will definitely be coming here again for more events and holidays 💙

We tried Smallcakes cupcakes at a friends birthday quite a few months ago and they were amazing, so I ordered a cake for my daughters 16th birthday. This cake was the best cake we have had in years. It was absolutely beautiful on the outside, a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries inside - perfectly sweet and excellent flavor, but not overpowering. A perfect balance between the cake and buttercream frosting. Everyone loved it! Thank you!

We ordered a custom unicorn cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday - it was a HUGE hit! Not only was the cake decorated beautifully but it was absolutely delicious. Everyone agreed it was the best cake they’d ever had!

Use this bakery. We had a micro wedding in March and they had their own personal struggle going on but they accepted our order and created the most delicious cake ever. My son doesn’t even eat frosting, but he loved that cake. People talk more about the cake than the ceremony lol! Super professional and Christian was helpful while he wife was out.

As someone who went to school for culinary and specialized in cakes I know moist, dense batter is the way to go. Their cakes are one point! We will for sure be back.You & your kids won’t regret it!

We are the ones who appreciate taste over looks. Cake sponge was moist and had good texture to it. Inside and outside frosting was extremely sweet. We requested lowering sugar at the time of order as we as called in few days before to re-iterate the same but it still ended up being equally sweet as any of their usual cupcakes. The Biscoff cake barely had any Biscoff taste in it and ended up being all cinnamony. Lastly, the frosting layer on top of the cake was all messed up with multiple holes, probably due to adjustment of the cake topper (flowers) and their was no effort to correct it.While we were super excited for the cake, it ended up being very disappointing.

Holy Cupcakes! This was an amazing little gem we found in Ahwatukee. We walked in to this quaint little bakery with cupcakes displayed throughout. We couldnt choose just one, so we came home with half a dozen. :) Fairly priced for their deliciousness! My favorite is the lemon drop...omg. My family devoured. Im hooked!

Smallcakes did our wedding cake for us, and it turned out incredible. Stephanie is extremely responsive and worked closely with us to get our wedding cake perfect! We provided a picture that we wanted our cake to resemble, and it turned out absolutely amazing!! Since our wedding was out of town, we had to transport the cake ourselves the day before, but Stephanie was sure to go over very detailed instructions on how to transport the cake to keep it in one piece and fresh for the next day. It traveled well and was delicious! We had a vanilla funfetti bottom tier with a chocolate top tier. Highly recommend using Smallcakes in Ahwatukee for your wedding cake!

I got a chocolate and vanilla cupcake and my partner got a smash. Which is essentially a cupcake with ice cream in the middle. Needless to say it hit the spot. If you are looking for a sweet treat I would definitely recommend stopping here.

The cupcake was hot and due to that the frosting melted till the time I got home. This is not what is expected . It was not the heat from outside and the frosting on top was as it is but the frosting near the cupcake was melted. I wish I had taken a picture.

This place made me feel closer to our son and daughter-in-law even though we could not be together this Easter. They made gorgeous Easter cupcakes and made them dairy-free - and delivered them to their home! This business is doing everything right during this difficult time of COVID-19 - they are professional for sure.....but also extremely kind. We will definitely be back. Love their cupcakes. Amazingly delicious and has perfect texture. Cakes are always perfectly moist and flavorful. They also have some great ice cream flavors too. Try the “smash” which is their ice cream plus cake dessert. Only drawback is they aren’t open till late night so we have to wait till next day to satisfy sweet cravings.

Went here for the first time today after my GF mentioned coming here before and having a delicious chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. This time around we both got a double scoop of their Cookie Monster (blue colored, vanilla flavored with bits of oreo cookie and chocolate chip cookie) ice cream in a waffle cone and it was amazing. I couldnt stop myself from digging into it before getting the picture below 😅 Ice cream tastes super fresh and totally delicious. The girl who greeted us and the gentleman who made the order for us were both super kind and helpful. Havent tried the cupcakes yet but hope to in the future because they also look amazing. They make the ice cream and cookies fresh in the back and if you want an awesome ice cream experience come here especially to support a smaller family owned business with an awesome product.

Best cupcakes I’ve ever had!! I’ll start by saying I’m not really a cupcake person because I’ve always been disappointed. I am very picky about a good moist cake, I could care less about the icing. To me it’s just something to make it look pretty. But god this place changed my mind. Super moist cupcake with a not-to-sweet icing that was soooo delectable. They have also been featured on The Cupcake Wars a couple of seasons ago, pretty cool. The place itself is super cute, family owned and also has pupcakes for your pooch. My dog loveeed their little pupcakes and she’s a picky eater when it comes to dog treats. So glad I found this place, thanks for converting me into a cupcake person :)

I friended Smallcakes Ahwatukee on my Facebook page a couple months back! I love cupcakes and have been looking for a good store! I live in Tucson so it’s an 1 hr 30 min drive from my house and after yesterday it’s probably a good thing their that far!They were the moist cupcakes I have had in a longtime! The flavors and frosting were dead in too their descriptions! I had the Wedding Cake and Lemon Drop they didn’t disappoint!We had a cupcake store here in Tucson that was even in the food network show Cupcake Wars were they were told their cupcakes were dry and you couldn’t swallow them I have also been to the world renouned Sprinkles in Scottsdale were is no comparison to Smallcakes! They were also the driest cupcakes I had ever eaten!This family owned bakery is dead on and I will continue occasionally to drive up to get more! LOVED my first cake from Smallcakes Ahwatukee! After a series of “ball dropping” moments last week, I was scrambling to find a last minute cake for a small birthday celebration—not easy to do when sourcing many local bakeries that require at least a week or two advance notice. Christian sensed my need and cake enthusiasm and, even though they were booked out quite a ways, still squeezed me in with minimal notice for a darling 6” buttercream frosted chocolate cake. I said I wanted to keep it basic with nothing too customized given the time restraints I was imposing. Christian said that was impossible as they don’t do just “basic” cakes! Sure enough, the piping work and sprinkles added the perfect touch! The cake itself was so so good and there weren’t even leftovers—we will be back!

The ice cream is delicious and the prices are fair. Cupcakes very very sweet and low on actual flavor. Husband was very happy with his cupcake smash.

We went in Saturday morning close to opening, the employee was helping one lady already so we werent greeted or acknowledged. Once it was our turn to order I asked the lady if they had any more red velvet, she replied not right now as if she were bothered I had asked. They had a boozy cupcake flavor that day that I ordered two of and man do I regret it, the booze is overwhelming, couldnt taste nothing but that. I will not go back to Smallcakes the actual cake is very good and moist but the frosting is too sweet and lacks flavor.

The girl that works behind the counter is more like a sales person trying to push cupcakes . She’s was in a hurry also. Also don’t buy the taco ice cream it does not look like what is advertising. I did ask the girl why it didn’t have sprinkles? she said those are special ones . I asked how much do those cost? They are same price as the non sprinkle ones (basically she lied). Then I asked why don’t they have any of the sprinkle ones ? her answer was because they didn’t make any.My question is how hard is it to put frosting on the edges and put sprinkles on it.We won’t go back. She really didn’t care about my 2 kids. if you advertise something fun and pretty that’s how it should be.We won’t go back.

This family run cupcake franchise has delicious cupcakes and a selection of ice cream. The staff is friendly and helpful which is great when trying to decide what to get with all the choices. I believe that they are all vegetarian friendly and some vegan and gluten free choices too.
