I chose Import Car Specialists based on ratings and (mostly) location. Brought my car in on a Tuesday morning with a list of issues and things to check. John was a pleasure to deal with - and once we discussed what items to take care of, and what could be put off, he gave me a completion estimate of the end of the following day along with a price estimate.He called mid afternoon Wednesday that my car was ready (several hours before it needed to be), and the final price was within $10 of the quote - LESS than the over-the-phone estimate.It was an easy process and transaction, John is knowledgeable and sincere - the great reputation this place has is well deserved.Ill definitely be back!

I have an Audi Q5, needed the in between Oil Change, as Audi recommends every 10k, and I am a 5k changer. So after doing my research found out this facility is owned by Matt Allen of @virginiaauto and the Saturday KTAR bumper to bumper radio show. My appointment was at 8am, I arrived at 7:30am. I immediately was impressed with the cleanliness of the office area. Looking out into the bays they were clean the mechanics were all in uniform. A bit after 8am Mr. Allen came in he was personable and polite. He even let a homeless person use the phone who walked in off the street. My car was done after an hour needed a cabin filter and nothing else. Provided me some recommended preventative service for a future visit. The cost for my service was about 1/4 of what it would have been at the dealer. If you need a good job at a fair price come here its worth the drive conveniently located of the 51 and Indian School road.

My Mercedes was completely dead last Friday morning, so I called Import Car Specialists since they did an awesome job last time I was in. I spoke with Matt and he said bring the car in and they would get to work on it right away. I had my buddy jump the car and we dropped it off with Matt. An hour later my was car was good to go. I really appreciate the quickness and efficiency. These guys do a great job and it wasnt expensive at all. This is the 2nd time Ive used Import Car Specialists and I highly recommend them. What can I say about Jimmy and company over at Import Car Specialists? They are consummate professionals and know their vehicles. I’m a rare Audi collector and these guys know exactly what there is to know about every nuance of these unique vehicles.They take their time, listen, ask questions and then explain, in detail, what may be wrong based on my description. Then they scan and diagnose the root cause and define a clear path to its resolution. They even arrange a ride from their shop while the work is being done.Their quality is superb. Their professionalism is unheard of these days and their prices best any shop or even mobile mechanic I’ve had the misfortune of trying prior to finding them. The gentleman here are kind and professional. I didn’t mind paying the 1900 to fix the ac compressor and drive belt tensioner. They even let me know the possibility of the radiator and hoses busting during labor, which they did. I couldn’t afford the extra $900 that would cost so I towed my car home. I bought the new parts and had another mechanic come over to install them, however he wasn’t able to finish without the bolts that were removed when ICS took out the busted radiator and hoses. I called them to see where the missing parts where but they’re no where to be found. After a few attempts of calling to check if theyve been found, my calls stopped getting answered and voicemails unreturned. I wish I could alreast compliment their service on the ac compressor but I have yet to get the new bolts for the radiator and hoses, therefore my car is still parked.

My air conditioning in my vehicle was not working properly. I took my car to Import Car Specialists. I asked them to service my air conditioning. After dropping off my car with them and went home, I received a call from their shop and was informed that my cabin air filter needed replaced and the shop manager recommended that I not waste my money on servicing my air conditioner. He told me that changing the cabin filter should fix the problem. I took his advice and my car is blowing hard and cold. Living in Phoenix, this was great news and I really appreciated the professionalism and honesty these guys displayed. They had every opportunity to take advantage of me, but they didn’t and they earned a customer for life. I just had them change the oil on my vehicle and they did a great job and they did so very quickly. Thank you for your hard work!

My battery died on me about a mile from the shop. I had a Dr.s appointment and was going to be late. I walked into the shop and asked if he could drive me to my car and give me a jump. He did so immediately and I was able to make it to my appointment on time. I offered him 20 dollars for his trouble, but he said forget about it and do something nice for someone else. I thought it was a really nice gesture and I appreciate the assistance and not being late for my appointment. THANK YOU.

Let me tell u something this place right hear is God sent like the man that helped me didnt play games told me how it is fixed my problem and this guy is the only guy thats gonna be touching my cars I swear its so hard to find shops like his they fix the problem and thats why he did he fixed my problem and won me as his customer for life

Jimmy is the man!! My Chrysler van broke down just off the 51 and luckily in the parking lot of Import Car Specialists! It was 112ish outside and he had a tech checking out my ride within minutes. It wound up needing an altenator and he said he could get the part first thing in the morning. Sure enough, he was calling me at 10:30am the next day letting me know I was good to go! Great service and reasonable price is hard to beat!!

They serviced my AMG when it had an issue related to power steering pulley in a timely manner and it was my first time trying them. I was very happy with the repair.

Ask about a replacement of 2007 chevy cobalt ls cylinder head-gasket only. The person behind the counter was gonna charge me $3,000 dollars without a checking out the vehicle. Pure scam. Ready to clean out my pockets. Here the car isnt worth $3,000 dollars at all. So had another shop check it out under $550 cash.

Very professional and did a great job with my brakes. Jimmy was very helpful and took the time to ensure my brakes needed replacement instead of just doing it......ended up I only needed the fronts done even though another quote I received said otherwise. I always respect honesty over making an extra dollar. I recommend them highly.

I went to import car specialist because my engine light was on it took two visits cost me $500, after the first visit I paid $500 but they acted like they didnt find anything ,the engine light came back on took it back and they had it for 8 days, they were going to get a part or they were supposed to but they said they werent sure it would work and they didnt want to add it to their import inventory , they didnt go the extra mile, the customer service rep just smirked and told me to get out , what a disgrace the engine lights going to come back on, it cant pass emissions, the same problem exists - $500 and 2 weeks later, the only way the light came off was they manually shut it off - not by fixing it ,anybody could do that!

I was driving on a prayer but did not know it until I brought my vehicle in to get my brake pads changed, so I thought. Not only had my brakes cut into the rotors in the front they had also done that in the back, and we’re on our way to cutting through the rim of the tire.

Driving down the highway and realizing you have a flat is never fun but fortunately, I turned off the 51 exit when it happened and serendipitously it was Import Specialists. They opened 15 mins after I got there, met with the manager and got two tires replaced same day! Great service!

I called fir a quote for installation of new suspension components. Being, I have already purchased the parts, I was quoted an exhorbitant price for a job that should only cost a fraction of what was stated. When I commented about the excessive cost, the serviceman retorted in a condescending fashion about their hourrly rate.

My experience started the week before I actually had work done on my Jeep when the mechanic was outside on his break. I work close to the shop and asked him some questions about services and pricing. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Fast forward three days, I met Jimmy, who was fabulous. He was thorough and very helpful. He took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and was not condescending like most service places are when talking to females. The professionalism that the team displayed was far above bar. I not only will be coming to Import Car Specialist for my POV, for my company vehicles as well. Thanks you for all you do!

I recently had Import Car Specialists replace my 2006 Toyota Tacoma’s alternator. Mr. Bearden was professional and made the repair process a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

Took my VW GTI as my engine was shaking and losing revs from time to time (EPC light on the dashboard). Matt was very professional/helpful and found the culprit to be my water pump leaking causing a malfunction on a sensor. Replaced with a whole new metal cast pump + sensor. Drove the vehicle all weekend with no problems, thx guys!

They did a great job and my car is as good as new. I was lucky the vehicle broke down almost in front of their shop. Guess it was fate. I trusted them to be fair and would recommend them to anyone.

Great honest place to get your car worked on

Ive been going to Jim and Ray since I could drive (1994) and will not go anywhere else. Honest, great pricing, and will give it to you straight. Out of curiosity Ive tried other places over the years and have always gone back to Import even though they are now 30 miles away from where I live.At this point there probably isnt much they havent seen. They are the type of guys you hope never retire.

Jimmy was great to work with gave me an estimate and they came in under the estimate. We drove from Prescott down to the shop and if I ever need work on the BMW again it will be here.

Jimmy was a pleasure to deal with. He analyzed my problem and designed a plan to repair. Delivered exactly what he promised which is very hard to find these days. I would highly recommend Import Car Specialist to handle your import car issues.
