So i came in on a Wednesday to drop my Macbook pro for a display issue. The tests were done and they quoted me $750 for a screen replacement. Luckily I had Applecare+ and was charged $99 + taxes. Although they told me that it might take a week for the parts to arrive and get my laptop back... i received the call on Friday that my mac was ready. I am sure each case is different and everyone has a different experience, but mine was definitely smooth. No complaints whatsoever.

Brought my MacBook pro in for battery replacement. I was quoted $400. I promptly gasped and told them Id go somewhere else for half price. I was then told its that expensive because they also have to replace the keyboard. Im not sure how theyd know that without testing it at all. It works fine now with the bulging battery. I took it to Tempe and had the battery replaced at $200. The keyboard was fine. I was hoping to try macmedia for repairs since its closer to me, but I guess Ill be continuing to take my business to Tempe.

AppleCare+ sent me here for a 9:40 appointment. Turns out this company DOES NOT do appointments but Apple schedules them lol ...so they did handle me as quickly as they could and I am very happy with the customer service. They did the best they could in light of the circumstances. Would recommend, they are professional and the end result is my phone works.

We have looked for a company to install a home network recently and the quotes were astronomical. After calling Mac Media where we have purchased several Apple devises, we had them come out and assess our house for a network. We purchased a partial system since we have Cox and tried to make it work. Steven was our Mac Media guy and helped us get our system finalized by eventually replaced the Cox modem with a better Apple friendly modem. He configured it all and it works great at a fraction of the cost we were quoted from other companies.We are an all Apple household and now with Steven and Mac Medias help, we have a system which works seamlessly with all of our devises. Thank you guys!

I have a 7 year old iMac that has given me a couple of problems over the years, nothing catastrophic, until recently when it would over heat and shut down, usually in the middle of something important and of course it wouldnt save what I was working on with the shut down. I took it to MacMedia and they tuned it up and its working like almost new.Spoiler Alert, the first time I went to MacMedia was because my Apple Watch had a problem with an expanding battery, which the Apple Store said there was nothing they could do except give me a credit if I purchased a new watch. Long story shortened, MacMedia checked the serial number, as did the Apple Store, but MacMedia found a recall on that series and a couple of days later I got a new watch.These guys do their homework, theyre professional, courteous, and very competent. I recommend MacMedia without reservations.

Had an appointment set through Apple, because my brand new Macs camera stopped working. They said they would have to replace the display. I have no problem with any parts being replaced. They claimed to have installed a new display, but my camera still did not work. I checked my receipt and it said the camera was tested and reported as working. When I called the place to get an explanation I got two completely different stories from two different people.

I am EXTREMELY grateful for Mac Media!! Not only are they exceptional with their customer service. They were able to calm my fears of losing my brother who was killed data from a mac that he owned, with precious memories that mean so much to me and my family. The gentlemen (sorry I cant remember your name lol) reassured me that he would try his best to extract the information as well as give his condolences. Dropped of a Mac for an estimate. Never got a call back. Went back to pick it up, they had not even looked at it, and there was no charger. The employee said it was not brought in. Asked to speak to the manager. There was no one there who could resolve the issue. Was given an email address to contact. Could not get a name for who was in charge. 1 Star is generous.

I brought in both of my MacBook Pros, one of which had a shattered screen with a destroyed hard drive. They some how managed to retrieve all of my data off of that hard drive and get it onto an external hard drive, seemingly with ease, even though I was told by multiple other businesses that it could not be done Not only was I in there in and out of there within 15 minutes or less ( even though they were pretty slammed) all of the employees were very friendly. Not only are they friendly they are very knowledgeable, these guys are pros at what they do and customer service was amazing. Reese the store manager is great and I would recommend Mac Media to anyone and everyone. I also saved over $100 on the data transfer alone compared to other places like geek squad. All in all this place and these guys are LEGIT

Made appointment through Apple. Called this location to specifically ask them if they did the service I needed done or if it needs to be sent to Apple. They said they can do it in house no problem.I then brought the Mac in and they told me they don’t do that in store it needs to be shipped out. Wasted my time waiting for the appointment and driving it in when I could have just shipped it myself to get save time and get it done faster.

This store is awesome! The owners are amazing at staffing. Reese is the manager and took such great care of me and my situation with a keyboard issue. Matt, the technician came out, chatted with me, took my machine back and fixed the issue on the spot. The staff listens well, they are courteous, knowledgable and so helpful. I had some issues with Battery Swell and a strobing Touch Bar. The wait time to get in for an appointment at the Apple Store was over two weeks. MacMedia completely repaired my MacBook Pro in a few days and its been working awesome. Highly recommend contacting MacMedia for your Apple needs, avoid the long wait at the Apple Store. I’m Janine and I am a teacher. My computer failed completely on the day before grades were due preventing me to process graduating students grades. I can’t tell you how challenging that was to swallow! Thankfully, I got my expectations in control and started to plan other ways to somehow accomplish this or ask for their patience (not realistic) until my computer is returned.Thankfully, Mac Media did me a solid and got it back to me today! Nice store. Staff is very nice and helpful. Experience is COMPLETELY different than going to the Apple store. This place is not at all crowded. Atmosphere is relaxed. Im not necessarily saying better, also not saying it is worse. Try the place.

Around the 11th of June, 2020, I went to MacMedia to replace the battery in my MacBook Pro. They told me the cost would most likely be $430. When I asked why the price was so high they responded that due to the model of laptop I have, it required most of the keyboard to be replaced along with the battery because the battery was attached. That was the reason the overall price would be that high. Sadly for them, I know how much Apple charges you to replace the battery on my model of laptop. I only went to them in the first place because Apple was unable to give me a Genius Bar appointment at the time. But after their blatant dishonesty I just waited the two weeks to have Apple fix my laptop. FYI, Apple only charges about $200 for the same service. MacMedia just to let you know, I have warned everyone I know about you and none of them will be going to you in the future.

Went here for MacBook repair. Initial drop off was pleasant and helpful. Store was clean and there were no lines. Guy quoted 3-5 days for repair. It was actually 6 days for repair. Went to pick up and both employees were busy with very long customers. After 15 minutes, I finally got some help. The employee got my computer from the back, but he couldnt figure out how to ring up the $5 cable I was trying to buy. And since they only have one credit card machine, he asked me to wait while the other employee rang up another customer. He never could figure out how to charge me for the cable. I had to leave without it. Guess thats why there were no lines the first day. Go to a real Apple store instead.

Terrible. This store is basically a scam. Went there to try to fix my computer. They charged me 90 dol and said if they couldnt fix it I would get the 90 dol back in store credit. They were asking me for 450 dol to fix a computer that is worth 200. I asked for the 90 dol back in store credit and they said I could only spend that money if I bought a computer there... They didnt tell me none of that when I payed, they said I could use it as I wanted. The staff was rude as well and didnt try to help at all.

I took in my iPhone X because the screen was freezing and I’d have to reset it to get to a different screen. I talked to the Apple store and they said I’d have to leave it for up to 5 days for repairs. How do you go without your phone for 5 days??I took it to MacMedia and they fixed it in two hours!! They replaced the screen and said the X has been having this problem a lot. They were able to see I am covered under Apple Care and it cost me nothing. It works perfectly now!!The staff was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions.I highly recommend using this business!

Walked in with an IPhone 6s Plus with battery issues and I walked out with one that had no working camera, no working flashlight and no longer able to make calls because I can’t hear anything on it. But according to them since there is no correlation between the camera and battery they are unable to do anything unless I pay $329 to replace the camera. But I no longer have battery issues, so if you want to get your battery replaced and walkout with a brick I recommend you go get it replaced here!!!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! A few screws came loose inside my phone so it was REALLY loud when it vibrated. Reese and Steven were both really friendly and had my phone fixed in less than 10 minutes (unlike a couple hours at the actual Apple store.) I highly recommend MacMedia!

Scheduled an appointment here to have iphone battery replaced which was at 80%. They told me it would have to drop to 79% for them to replace it at $50 otherwise would charge me $80. Nowhere on their website does it state that battery has to be below 80% to get replaced. Apple stores have replaced my other iphones battery at 82 and 85% with no problems. I would stay away from this place, waste of time.

I tried this place out for a quick battery replacement in my iPhone. Went there during the middle of a weekday and luckily the place was virtually empty. Tyler helped me and he couldnt have been better at customer service. Someone either taught him really well or he has a natural gift. Maybe he just knows how he would like to be served if he were the customer. He was very patient and happy to serve. The manager on-duty tried to be helpful too. He (personally) diagnosed the real problem with my phone and didnt charge me a dime. Unfortunately, by opening-up the phone, it rendered it pretty much dead whereas at least it worked before, it just had a super-short battery life when not plugged-in. Its put me in a real bind in that I have to scramble to get a new phone now since its a business phone, has hundreds of contacts stored in it, and you cant use it for even a few minutes without it restarting itself. Even more frustrated now sorry to say!

My beloved 2012 MacBook Pro was damaged by a spill accident from my toddler. I have a lot of writing, photos, and music stored on my computer, and I use it for freelance work, so I was pretty devastated. Reese answered my tearful call and told me to bring it in right away. They took my computer apart, recovered the data, and gave me lots of information and options for a replacement, including a refurbished 2012 and 2016. I ended up purchasing a new MacBook Pro with an eye to it lasting as long as my 2012 did (and it wouldve kept going had the spill not happened!). They said the data recovery would take 2-3 days but everything was ready the next day, which was super helpful for me to meet a work deadline. They were helpful, friendly, remembered my name, and gave me tons of information and deals to help me with the unexpected expense. On top of that, they were able to see me faster than an Apple Store Genius Bar wouldve and their store was much calmer and less hectic too. Highly recommend them for Apple needs and will be using them again next time I need help with my Apple products (and will be avoiding having drinks near my computer from now on!)

Stephen was very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. He solved my problems in the first 30 minutes. While traveling, no one wants to experience problems with their phone-- but the troubles didnt last for long thanks to my great experience at MacMedia Inc. and my incredible customer service experience with Store Manager Reece Klebba.After making an online appointment hoping to resolving charging issues with my iPhone7+, getting to the MacMedia Inc. store was a breeze. The facility was very organized and clean with excellent AirCon, and even had a fishtank and movie playing to entertain my son!Throughout the entire appointment Reece took his time to thoughtfully and patiently resolve my issue, exhausting every possible avenue. In the end, a new charging cable was the best (and most economical) option.While there, we also upgraded my husbands phone for a refurbished iPhone8+ for a price were very happy about.Reece was the ultimate professional and if were ever in the Valley again and need iPhone care, were SURE to go see him at MacMedia Inc. in Peoria.

There’s an obvious reason these people don’t work for Apple ... they don’t know their stuff. My wife and I went in to inquire and buy an iMac. However, I wanted to know about downloading some proprietary software onto a new computer. The salesperson told me (while other salespeople were listening) that I couldn’t do it, the software would only work on one computer; the one it was registered on. Interesting ... I have them downloaded on several computers now. If you don’t know, or are unsure ... say so.

Im the dentist/owner of Alpha Dental. Our Mac Mini Server crashed few months ago and our practice was virtually frozen for 4 days and I had nightmares every night. The server had RAID, so I thought I was safe, but RAID is NOT A good backup solution as I learned the hard way. I took our machine to Apple Store and they basically told me I was likely out of luck and I should try a data recovery service. I took it to MacMedia, and they were able to recover all my data in two days at a very reasonable cost. It took me some time to write this review, but I should have thank them long time ago. I cannot be happier.

I had a problem with my 9 year old MacBook Pro and wondered if I was going to have to buy a new computer. I had an issue loading the newest version of the Apple operating system and thought it was the end. I gave MacMedia a call and was fortunately hooked up with Robert James Wellsley Hill the certified Mac specialist at the Peoria store. He was so knowledgeable and patient I hardly could believe myself. In the end, he reconfigured the hard drive, cleaned it up and was able to load the new OS. Everything is working fine thanks to Robert. Robert, you are one awesome guy, thanks a million!

Unfortunately my experience with MacMedia continues to go down hill. In January we had to take the iMac back to replace the hard drive they had put in last April, it took several days to get a diagnosis and then they wanted me to pay for a new hard drive. Finally I was able to talk with a manager who took care of it and replaced it under the warranty and had it back to me within a few days. Total time was ridiculous though, and I shouldnt have had to fight to get it done when they replaced it less than a year before.Initially at my January visit they thought it my be my video card, I was told because its a 2011 iMac that would be replaced under an Apple Recall exchange at no charge. It wasnt my video card then and now 3 months later (with a lot of the same issues) it seems it is the video card and suddenly that recall doesnt extend to me and I need to pay to have it replaced. Dropped off Sunday was told Id have an answer by Monday afternoon, didnt hear back until Tuesday afternoon when someone called me while the tech was allegedly on the phone with Apple, and then suddenly told no.Now Im waiting back on a call from the manager to explain to me why 3 months means I no longer am eligible for the recall replacement of my video card.Sadly I would no longer recommend these guys and wont buy my new machine with them. Its sad. I really prefer to support local businesses when I can, and this was such a great experience to start but it seems the last year or two has changed a lot within the company because its no longer the same place I first purchased from in 2013.**Updated**Was called once again by tech, still have not heard from manager as I requested yesterday.Picked up my machine and brought it back to my office, chatted with Apple Care for about 10 minutes and exception was made and theyre covering it 100%. And are happy to have MacMedia do it, funny how they said Apple wouldnt do it for them because they were trying to put MacMedia out of business. Sounds like thats not the case. Taking it to the Apple Store directly later today and will get this fixed. Should have just touched base with them 3 days ago, Id likely have it back by now.Sad to say, avoid this team.***Updated****After taking the machine to the Apple Store directly because of the horrible back and forth earlier this week with the team at MacMedia it turns out the hard drive that MacMedia replaced in January is failing. The hard drive they installed because the one they had installed in March 2015 also failed.I let the owner know that I expected them to cover the cost to have Apple repair the hard drive and felt most comfortable with our conversations being documented so all communication must happen via email, and was refused. He eventually contacted my contact at the Apple Store and told her they refused to pay to replace the part. I let the Apple Store know I refused to take my machine to their team again. It was clearly substandard parts and/or work. Once happens, twice is a pattern. I chose to have Apple replace the hard drive.At this point not only would I not recommend MacMedia, but Ive filed an official complaint with Apple after my horrific experience.Do yourself a favor, go over to the Apple Store, there is a reason theyre always busy and MacMedia is always available. Its a quality of work, and quality of experience difference that can not be spoken about enough.

Brought my old style iMac keyboard in with a missing key and broken key mechanism. Very helpful guy added the key back and fixed it in 5 minutes and wouldnt let me pay anything. Just saved me from having to buy a new $99 keyboard.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Horrible experience and lies from these guys. I sent an ipad in for screen repair, they sent to Apple, for replacement. Next day I called and said I need my ipad returned. MacMedia confirmed they contacted Apple and said Apple confirmed it would be returned (it had sensitive data that had failed to backup prior to sending). Called a few days later and MacMedia said my Ipad had been returned. I went to pick it up and on arriving, they did not have my ipad. Now MacMedia story was their tech misspoke and now the story was Apple never returns ipads for any reason. Ever. I called Apple and they denied that view. They do return in certain cases. Too late now. Ipad gone and all data too. Thanks MacMedia.

Went in to get my Iphone battery replaced and had an appointment set for myself then for my gfs phone an hour later. Reese (I hope I spelled it correctly) was very friendly and actually took my gfs phone at the same time so they could do them both simultaneously. Tyler was very quick with his work and had both phones done in under 2 hours. Both guys were excellent and if i have any other problems, Im definitely coming back.

Despite the reviews and Apple being warned about this place I was recommended to them by Apple. $95 diagnostic on 2010 MBP came up with bad hard-drive. Replaced drive - computer continues to fail.
