I love this place. So much amazing stuff for extremely cheap prices! Brand new pillow top mattresses to beautiful furniture. The one thing that bothered me was I couldnt find anything that matches. No lamps, end tables or anything. Nothing matched. All in all the best thrift store Ive ever found.

Blessings Abound Thrift Store is an only store, a one of a kind quality Thrift store, due to its donations from area residents. GREAT VARIETY OF slightly used HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, NEW Bedding, family clothing, jewelry, art, childrens bikes and toys, sports items, lawn & garden, and more. Located at 105th and Metcalf in Overland Park, KS. It is wheelchair and disabled accessible. Hours 10 AM - 6 PM, MOnday - Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM Saturday and closed on Sunday. Volunteers keep the prices low with a majority of the proceeds going to local ministries to help people in need.

This wonderful place was recommended to me by a family member. I was looking for furniture for my new apartment, and I stumbled upon a mini sleeper sofa in excellent condition. The price was even better! They also helped coordinate same day delivery for me, which was incredible. The volunteers are so friendly, and I am humbled at the work they do to give back to local ministries. A terrific thrift store in OP!

This is a pretty neat place, but I would say about 75% of the items are overpriced, the store is beyond over stocked because of this very problem. I wouldve walked out with alot more items if things were price accordingly. Some people just dont have a clue, the stuff has all be donated, I even saw a handful of items that were priced more than they were new

They only have the little two-tiered carts without baskets for small children to sit in, so that was a rough start. Their store is also incredibly cramped. Even with the tiny carts, almost no aisle can fit two at a time to allow for passing.Items are also very highly priced for a thrift store in this area. But most things were in pretty good condition, so that was a plus. The biggest plus, though, is the staff was lovely. I will not be returning because the store is just too chaotic for my taste, but the staff had nothing to do with the chaos.

Go. I dont know why I shop sat other thrift stores. They almost always have what I need. I find the weirdest stuff there. Staff are helpful if I have questions. The only negative is that pricing is variable. I find good deals on items I think are worth more, buy items that seem inexpensive can be prices high.

I donate alot of things to this thrift store, and purchase alot of things from this store. I have always been pleased with the huge selection of items. I insisted my friend and I scour the shelves for our kids Halloween costumes here. We found the perfect old walkman cassette player for $2 for my friends sons Starlord costume for $2! At checkout, the gal at the register noticed a second sticker on the back that said $20. We asked her to view the area we found it where there was a multitude of similar old, broken electronics for between $2-$5. She said this looks old and took it to discuss with a manager. She came back to the counter and said it would need repricing and she wouldnt sell it to us. How ironic that the store is making 100% profit and that $18 discrepancy is worth 2 customers. Super disappointed with Blessings Abound. Thanks for being so greedy!

And not only that, our donation will provide quality items at a reasonable cost for someone while making a little money for a great cause!

Blessings Abound before Covid was a nice place to come browse and shop, I visited often. After 1 yr. and Covid scare had calmed, I decided to stop by SO excited to be back.I couldnt have been more disappointed. It was a cluttered mess, impossible to shop everything was packed in on racks and the quality of clothes was definitely not up to par.If I would give my opinion, I would suggest to price everything to get rid of it... 25 cents or sell by the pound, clear out the mess and start over.So sad to see a good place to become so trashy. Im sharing my disappointment with my friends and fellow shoppers.

Most items are priced WAY above their value; one can easily google an item & see that it’s cheaper to buy on eBay/Etsy or sometimes even new. I do appreciate the variety & well organized sections of the store, as well as the used furniture selection. I rarely encounter anyone on the floor to answer questions though, & lines are always too long to ask a cashier. This led to confusion on how to purchase said furniture.

WOW 😳 First time in store. I live in Blue Springs. We had a blast and bought a lot. I like the way it was organized. Couldnt find anyone on the floor to ask anything. Its a nice enough store and atmosphere, but Id classify it more as a boutique than a thrift store, based on the prices. The electronics section especially had some borderline outrageous prices. An 8 mm projector for $115. An original Xbox with no cords or controllers for $60. A really old centrifuge for $150. VCRs with no remote for $20. A lot of the electronics were shown as tested 4 to 6 months ago, so obviously this stuff is not selling at those prices.

I used to love this place when it was over on 95th and Nall. Their prices are way too high for what they are, which are used, dirty, donated items. Nothing too special to justify their outrageous prices. Most items are higher priced than retail/antique/vintage shops, which offer new, repaired merchandise which has been cleaned. Doesnt make any sense to spend the same or more on pieces which I will have to clean and/or repair.

I heard great things about Blessings Abound, so I checked it out today. They do have some fun things to poke through, but the reason for the one star is the absolute lack of social distancing and many people wore no masks. Then they’d squeeze by you in the aisles! Blessed Abound has zero control over proper social distancing in the store...I wanted to look more, but I left, I felt very unsafe.

This is, by far, the best thrift store Ive ever experienced. The organization is superior; the selection is astounding, more reminiscent of a lovely consignment shop than a donation dump; the layout is such that thorough exploration is segmented and therefore not overwhelming. Other things I enjoyed were that games and puzzles were shrink wrapped, all subsections within departments were clearly labeled, and all prices easy to find. I will come here when I but a house in the area to furnish and decorate my new space, and then come again regularly to enjoy such a unique and wonderful shopping venue.Edited to add: some reviews have complained about prices. I can understand a level sticker shock when one is accustomed to a more typical thrift store, but the quality of many items is so superior that its ridiculous to expect to pay pocket change for them. 10% (for example) of the cost of a superior item is going to be far higher than 10% of the cost of a cheap item. I saw couches there for $120 that I would expect to buy new for about $1500, and the one Im thinking of looked almost new. I would happily pay that $120 for such a well constructed, apparently new couch rather than $30-40 for the near-garbage I find elsewhere. Quality matters.

Always helpful when my girls are shopping for clothes or for their apartments, and the pricing is right in their budget. Now I’ve discovered their second location in the Surplus Exchange. Bought a several pieces including two matching four-poster beds and a night stand for less than chain discount stores wanted to charge me for two cheap headboards. What’s not to love? First of all overpriced stuff seeing as how its donated and calling itself a thrift store secondly I bought a bookcase and was told to pull up to door so they could load. I did even though it was pouring rain. I waited and finally went back in the store and stood in doorway wet and waited 15 minutes and no one came but bookcase was sitting right there ready to roll out. Finally went to desk and this man asked if it was still raining because he was waiting for it to stop first. I said it was but I needed to get it loaded and leave. He very reluctantly went out the entire two feet from door where I had to park illegally and loaded it. Fortunately it was down to a sprinkle by then. Will not go back there. Very rude and inexcusable to treat a customer that way.To the prompt reply below-As far as price of bookcase store owner, it was a tad overpriced just as the rest or your donated odds and ends. However I understand why some customers receive rude treatment, as apparently you are incapable or unwilling to give an answer reflecting the ill treatment spoken of in the review.

We traveled from Topeka to go pick up the item. We had our child in tow, who was very excited for her new bike. Within 15-20 minutes of arriving, we texted the person to give a heads up that we would be arriving shortly to purchase and pick up the bike. The person stated that it was gone/had been sold and that he lost track of messages and buyers. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. If you cannot manage buyers and keep arrangements straight, you probably have no business trying to post things to sell online. Time wasted, a disappointed child and irritated parents. This store has a huge range of vintage items - clothes, housewares, furniture, decor, arts and crafts supplies, sporting goods, toys, jewelry, and handbags. They have daily specials (I was there when they had 25% off all art), and the volunteers who run the store are friendly and helpful. I actually dropped a dish and it broke and a glass shard cut my ankle. Totally my fault, but they got me bandages and gauze. When I finished shopping, I had so much stuff I couldnt just walk back to my hotel and they helped me package things so I could hop in an Uber to get back to the hotel. My experience of this thrift store was underwhelming. After reading the others reviews, I was expecting a much different experience. The womens shoes were overpriced and pretty worn. However, there did seem to be a plethora of quality mens suit jackets. There happened to be a large donation of over 3000 shot glasses when I visited, which was pretty interesting. The area is nice. People overall are open and friendly. I really enjoyed the friendliness of the other shoppers. I learned how to identify real crystal glassware from another shopper. The friendliness of the staff, however, was a somewhat mixed experience, with some friendly and knowledgeable and others a bit irritated and frustrated that shoppers have entered their store. I would not want to bring my children somewhere to be treated the way I observed families with children were treated. And when it comes to checking out, be careful. Sometimes the prices change, apparently.Overall, you might find some good deals, depending what youre looking for; but I left this place feeling a little disappointed.
