I took my car in to Avery and Curtis in need of a new transmission knowing it would be hard for me to come up with the amount that was asked. These two gentlemen were beyond gracious and understanding (pre- pandemic) of my financial situation and worked to help me reach my goal. After working on the transmission the car was put through several tests to determine if it was road ready. From my experience I can say that this company genuinely cares not only about the wellbeing of the cars but of those who will be driving them. It wasnt just about them receiving the final payment to send me on my way, they checked and ran tests on every part of my car to ensure that I would be safe going forward. While AAMCO is known for their transmission work I would not hesitate bringing in my car for any other reason.

I had Curtis and the guys rebuild my 2000 Ford Explorer transmission about 4 years ago. I haven’t had an issue with it at all. Last week one of the hoses that goes to the external transmission cooler came loose. Most likely it dry-rotted a little because of the Florida heat. I was able to replace it and make sure it didn’t leak. I called and asked if they could take a look at it and make sure I didn’t do any damage to the drive bands. They took it first thing in the morning gave it a thorough check and let me know everything looked great by late afternoon. Quality service even 4 years after having work done. I highly recommend these guys. As some one who prefers to do a lot of the work myself, I trust them to do any work on my vehicle.

Imagine that I end up at Aamco coming from the Hyundai dealership (terrible place) on colonial where Ive been told I need a new transmission. Luckily for finding those guys. Now, Ive been with them for few months already and from changing the whole engine to doing small to medium size work Im absolutely pleased with their work ethic and hard work done to my car! Curtis is being a blessed every single time and all the guys involved took care of me like they knew me for quite a while. You have all my respect!

Asymmetric information allows mechanic shops to rip people off. The owner could have easily siphoned $700 from me, but decided to be completely honest and provided advice that didnt benefit him financially at all. Such a class act. I am so grateful for the extra mile he took to explain the different options I have...again...with none of them financially benefiting him. So long as those owners remain there, you will never find a more honest shop.

I took my 1999 7.3 Diesel project truck in there for a new transmission. They did a great job and in fact so great, I took in my other project car and had them rebuild the transmission in that as well. Great Job, cant go wrongand then 2 months laternice guys, but I spent 5k on a transmission thats leaking...this isnt supposed to be a shade tree mechanic job for a case of beer...one the way home the check engine light came on. I figured no big deal. I ran a scanner on it and found codes for transfer case solenoid. while under the car, I found a missing bolt on the drive shaft and leaks from the transfer case. I took it back in and the shop said cant find any code. I picked it up, when I got home, instead of fixing the seal they lathered a bunch of epoxy on the bottom of the transfer case. Then I see the transmission is now leaking and the solenoid connector is covered in transmission fluid. Not impressed

It has taken me two years to figure out the issue of why my Wrangler was losing oil. I had a leak in my oil pan which the previous owner decided to try and plug it seems like with a glob of Hubba-Bubba bubble gum. I thought I was having transmission issues due to the loss of power I was experiencing. Avery and Curtis are AMAZING! They figured out the issue quickly and my little Jeep is feeling 100% better now. Faster than expected service. The owner an his son are cool. So far so good with my replacement transmission. Hopefully everything continues to go well. Financing options are available if you need it. I was lucky to have two credit cards with 0% interest at the time this repair was necessary, I spread the cost across them.

About a month ago or so. I came for a A/C check and the mechanic even came to me to tell me about an oil leak. They are very professional and very respectful. Mr. Curtis was very helpful and gave me a good price.

We were having, transmission issues, on our Nissan Versa ( only 70,000 miles) We originally took it to a Nissan dealership. They told us, they could check our transmission fluids, for free(because Nissan, decided to bury, and the dipstick) When we arrived, they changed it, to $160, just to check fluids. So hell no!! We took it to, AAMCO. They were very nice & checked our fluids, for free. Awesome 👍, unfortunately, for us, the transmission, is shot & they want $4000, to fix it. Just a little to pricey. DONT EVER, buy a Nissan!!

We will always take our car here. It is SO hard to find people in the car industry who are HONEST, fair, professional, and really know what they are talking about. They truly went above and beyond to help us, even though they really didnt make much money from us because we had to go back to the dealership for repairs under warranty. Been going to this shop for several years now and although there were some issues when David was in charge, “News flash” David is gone and 5 Star Mike from the Winter Park store is here and this location is once again the only place I consider when I need repairs. My 97 4Runner started shaking at city speeds suddenly. Convinced it was a transmission approaching total failure ( mine is 240k mi )I called and asked around. My long time mechanic friend in VA said it could be multiple things, but that I should check with transmission speciality shops.I spent one whole day, my only day off, taking it to 4 different shops, scattered all over from Winter Garden to Orange Ave to E Colonial. 2 shops said come back for ( expensive) further diagnoses, while the remaining 2 had a suspicion within 30 min.The AAMCO on E Colonial estimate was $200 less than what the previous shop said. I came back the next day. My universal joints had gone bad. Simple. They took excellent care of me, explained what was wrong and how they knew it, had my rig running smooth again in no time.My wait in the office was actually fun. Rick, the store manager, is highly knowledgeable and entertaining to chat with. The shop technicians are a great bunch too.Very grateful and impressed.

I went there with my mom about a possible thermostat issue. I had never been to an AAMCO before. But I was very happy that they worked with me on the pricing of my car. Superb customer serviceI went there to check transmission on my vehicle. The lady at the front, Ashley was very nice and hospitable. I was told by a gentleman, Curtis, that I would have to wait for 3 to 4 hours. Then, I said thats too long; I have a place that I need to go to. To make a long story short, Ashley had someone take me to that place and picked me up from that place to the shop. Then, she said the check up was free. I said no, I am gonna pay you. She insisted that it is free. I went to other shops for check up where I would wait for hours to check my vehicle and got charged. I was amazed.Ashley, you rock!!

On the outside it looks like any other mechanics shop, but on the inside, they have a clean comfortable waiting area and amazing employees that were courteous and caring. Rick Campbell even walked me back through the shop to show me what parts on my transmission were causing my trouble. Even the back of the shop was neat and organized with transmissions laid out on workbenches. Rick did everything possible to keep my costs low by using his extensive network of vendors... I have gone away a very satisfied customer and highly recommend this shop!

I had prearranged this with the store manager, Rock, who was expecting the vehicle and communicated with me throughout the process. The prices were very fair and I believe they went above and beyond to satisfy me. This location was amazing. They fixed a difficult clutch problem with our 1997 Ford Ranger. They were professional and reasonably priced. We are more than satisfied and would use them again on any of our other vehicles. Good work , fast results.

I brought my Nissan in for a hesitation problem. Curtis the manager did an evaluation and we ended up replacing the transmission as it had several issues. Along the way we also noticed the car had bad thermostats (its an older car) so was overheating (I had noticed the overheating smell). Overall, I was very satisfied with the work they did. I feel like the price was reasonable and the service was outstanding. Its hard to trust a mechanic these days but Curtis earned my trust. I would recommend them.

While I was only there to get my check engine light checked, The staff and workers did their jobs quickly and professionally, and whats even better, Rodney did his best to keep my expenses low. Curtis was simply wonderful when he dropped everything to take care of a minor emergency for me! My car window fell off the tract (or whatever holds it up...) and Happy (whose name is entirely appropriate! and is a sweetheart) took the door apart and provided a temporary fix until I could come back to have it done properly. Ive been to AAMCO several times because of the recommendation from my brother, and they are the best Car Care place you can go to. They are unbelievably friendly and welcoming and are so fair with their pricing. They put so much care into their work. Im driving back to Wisconsin and they made sure that my car was ready to make the drive. If I havent taken my car there, my wheels would have fallen off. Im a broke college student, and they compromised the price just so I can get home safely. We need more nice people like them in this world. Take your car to AAMCO, they genuinely care about you.

We started using this AAMCO a couple of years ago when we had trouble with our transmission in our Isuzu Rodeo. We had taken it to the Isuzu dealer just before the warranty expired and they fixed it just enough to last another 10,000. Instead of taking it back to the dealer, we took it to AAMCO. They fixed it right and have not had any trouble with it since. Other than the transmission, we have not done much work to the Isuzu so when it came time to fix it up to keep it on the road we took it here and have been happy with the work.

They were able to see what was going on with my car and have me on my way to the dealership, they are fast and precise. I’m glad I went there.

Rick was the coolest guy to deal with and made sure I was 100% taken care of. The mechanics who worked on my car were ABSOLUTE professionals. Everything was explained and shown in detail. My car went from a giant paper weight to running like a champ again. Would recommend this shop to EVERYONE!

Shop manager Rock was courteous, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Took my 03 Ford Focus in for some issues with my engine overheating. Rock explained everything in a way that even a person with zero car knowledge like me could understand. They took the time and ran multiple tests to make sure that my engine problem was resolved. This place is in shambles... the manager is a freaking liar... I brought my car to him with transmission problem... $4500. Later the car is done after 3 weeks.. now I got the car 2 weeks the transmission goes again.. I bring it back and it sits there for 3 weeks... always and an excuse about mechanics quiting on the shop... I get it back now the transmission leaks fluid on my new driveway.. NOW ITS THERE AND 3 weeks later and no calls from them... THEY SUCK DONT EVEN GO TO THIS PLACE...

Recently I took my car to this AAMCO on recommendation from my brother. He told me that while AAMCO may charge a little more than most one-off places, it is worth every penny. I can now say he was 100% correct.The staff at AAMCO were extremely knowledgable and were able to tell exactly what the issues was within minutes, down to explaining what exact parts were faulty and why they were that way. And I must say I actually found them to be reasonably priced as well. They had my vehicle finished within a few days, and it has never shifted better in all the years I have owned it. After the repair was done, I found that the new parts had put a slight strain on some semi-related older ones, and they had my car back in the garage and back on the street in a matter of hours. I cannot sing AAMCOs praises enough.When you decided to visit this AAMCO for your next repair, be sure to look for Rick Campbell. He is the store manager that assisted me. He knows his stuff, was extremely courteous, easy going, and willing to work with my schedule. Rick and his staff have put their (and subsequently all) AAMCO(s) at the top of my list. I never worry when I bring my car here. They are honest and helpful. Yesterday, I had a dead battery. I drive a foreign car, so the auto parts place would sell me a battery, but they wouldnt install it. I called AAMCO at 430 and asked them if they could install it for me. They close at 5, but Rick said if I brought the car in they would take care of it. I arrived at 450 and they took care of everything. I was in and out in 10 minutes. If you need anything, bring your car here.

Great Service! Honest and clear with quality work. 99 Subaru had an alternator that burned a hole through my battery causing electrical problems that seemingly was causing transmission grinding. They didnt try to scam me but instead let me make choices. Everything runs great and had to back to me that day. Highly recommend working with them.

Today (September 9, 2015) I went to this place to get my car checked as instructed, when the car reaches 300 miles after the installation of the new transmission. I was told everything is running fine. I am a very happy customer and grateful for the great service this repair shop has provided to me. Everyone there is super nice and I highly recommend this place!On August 14, I picked up my car from the shop, but later found out the transmission was still not working right. The shop manager Rick asked me to bring my car in next Monday. On August 17 (Monday), I took my car back to the repair shop. I had my doubts. Rick told me the shop got defect new computer from its supplier. As I had scheduled doctor’s appointment, The shop owner Curtis took me to my doctors appointment right away then paid a rental SUV for 12 days when my car was in the repair shop. Because their auto parts supplier keep sending them bad computers, they had to use another supplier to rebuild a new computer for my car. They went above and beyond with their customer service by changing oil and filter of my car and taking my car to a car wash place.On August 28, I finally got my car back from the repair shop. I am so happy my car is alive and shining bright. Felt I was treated very well by Rick and Curtis. They probably didnt make money off my car repair but they did the right thing: took responsibility and took care their customer. It shows the quality of life in America. I am grateful.

Went here with a slipping transmission, knew about a few other problems with the car. After they had taken apart the transmission was called about the other problems, since everything was already taken apart, offered the parts to me without labor costs. Rock and Curtis are outstanding customer service people. After I had dropped my car off Curtis took me home, and offered to come pick me up after they had completed work. Everything was done within a reasonable amount of time for the least amount of money with the best warranty. Would go back!

Came trying to get a diagnostic on my car. I am from out of town and thought this was going to be a good place to figure out what was wrong with my transmission but I was wrong. I dropped my car off for a diagnostic and they told me they couldn’t give me in detail what was wrong and the manager was going to have to call me the next day. However, that never happened and I had to call the store back to see if I can get in contact with the manger. The person I talked to said they will call the manager and have him call me which didn’t happen again. Going on two weeks and still never received a call referring to the issues with my transmission from the manager. I now have to find a new shop to take my car.

Paid over $1000.00 and the car still had the same problem. Dont go there!I want the $746 returned to me as per the Dealer your repair and replacement was unnecessary all it needed was the hose to be tighten, something else you failed to do. I went to the dealer for a few hours and it is running excellent it went to you twice and it was running worse. The sensor was nothing it was replace not for the $300 plus you were going to charge me. The dealer charged me $0.00. Also recommended that I contact the BBB and file a complaint with the Attorney General. Ripping off senior citizens is a crime. I want my money reimbursed ASAP

A big thanks to Curtis. My daughters car broke down while at college UCF, and Im 100 miles away. I called them up and he took care it. I got the car towed to the shop after hours, and Curtis happened to go back to the shop and noticed the car was there , and he called me to let me know it was there and safe. The next day they fixed the car, I paid for it over phone and my daughter was on her way. Excellent service and I wont hesitate to use them again, if needed.

I recently required transmission service for a CVT (continuously variable transmission) and did not want to pay dealer price for the service. I called AAMCO of East Orlando and spoke with Avery Kinard and asked for an estimate. Based upon the estimate I received, I decided to make an appointment online. I contacted the owner, Curtiss Kinard, to verify my appointment and was told that he never received the online request. I was told to bring the car in at the time and date I requested as he would honor the appointment. The day of the appointment, Mr. Kinard not only honored my appointment, but serviced my car quickly and efficiently. The service included replacing the transmission filter, cleaning the magnet(s), replacing the transmission fluid as well as the pan gasket. The car was road tested and put back on a lift to verify that there were no leaks of transmission fluid. I was asked what the quoted price was for the estimate and that was what I paid. I found out later that the quoted price was for an automatic transmission, not a CVT which was slightly higher, but only had to pay the original quoted price. That to me, folks, is honor and integrity which is hard to come by these days. Although I needed transmission service at the time, I will be going back for any future service needs that arise. Transmission went out on a Tuesday morning and dropped off at there shop that night they even stayed and waited after hours for me to drop my truck off . Curtis and Avery were very helpful and knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way and the technician happy was very knowledgeable and was able to get my truck done in a good amount of time . I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know

I went in get car fixed terriable job. They gave me my refund back due to..they didnt fix problem n car was still stalling. Today..july 19 i found out the 3 spark plugs they put on my car..were the wrong ones!! They didnt even acknowledge it. Dont trust them!!

This is my first time at this location and I was speachless on the service I received from Mr. Curtiss, it was a wonderful experience and the type of service was great!
