They stopped selling books/textbooks for some reason.
I love that the bookstore was even open! Ladies working were awesome, and we had a nice conversation;)
Great tools to prepare everyone for the classroom.
Well lit, open area. Easy to find what you need to buy. Most of the time really good.Would like to see more organization in the check out area. First week of school, you should expect more than 2 cashiers worth of customers, and if you need line control, put up stanchions (or even chairs with string) and signs for checkout, please dont get frustrated with students whom dont know what is going on. Managers should have had a better plan in place, students are overwhelmed with info, give them an easy task to follow.
I have only ever had negative experiences at this bookstore. Basically all of the textbooks can be found for cheaper elsewhere, the floor space can be difficult to navigate, and they set up their return policy is in such a way that if you miss tiny, seemingly insignificant details you could wind up losing hundreds of dollars. I purchased a $200 math textbook that I wound up not needing. I brought it back within four days of purchasing it still unopened and they denied my return because I didn’t keep a tiny slip of blue paper they had put in the box. If you need anything bigger than a pencil, go somewhere else.
They didnt get a 5 from me because they lack a few products that would be handy while on campus. The staff is so friendly. Returns are easy and the guidelines are very clear. The hours arent bad either. I like how they are closed on Sundays. It promotes students to take time off and be home.
No complaints about the books or products themselves. One issue I have is if you order your books online there doesn’t seem to be an option to pick them up in person. I could be totally wrong but I couldn’t find it. So I had to pay $14 in shipping to have it sent to my house which is two blocks from the university. But the store itself the employees are really nice and patient, the layout is nice and their products are of great quality!
Ive never had any issues buying my books here. I love that they guarantee their merchandise! I bought an ASL book and the CD didnt work. The manager happily replaced the CD until I had one that did work (I guess they got a bad batch or something cause there were a few). Thats not something Ive ever had places like Amazon do for me. They do have a pretty strict return policy on textbooks but that doesnt bother me because I dont buy them unless Im sure I need them.
It used to be fairly easy to find your books if you had the list of your classes. I cant find anything since they alphabetized it by the author of the book. You have to know exactly what you are looking for. It now takes 4 times as long to find the books and you have to go all over the bookstore to find them all. Not sure why the change but I find it almost impossible to find a book without an employee directing you to where the book is.
Typical college bookstore with a mix of supplies, books, and college apparel. Its always packed the first week or two of school, but they are quick at the registers and will get you through the line and rung up pretty fast. Staff is friendly and helpful, theyll help you find what you are looking for or will get it ordered for you. Prices are pretty competitive, and used books are usually in good condition.
Your typical well stocked but over priced college bookstore
I bought some supplies here, later saw the exact exact same product at another store and they where extremely cheaper. Its not like were poor college students. Why jack up your prices?
Convenient place if you randomly need like a pen/notebook/calculator/headphones etc. A tad more expensivish though. Some books there are well priced but many are much cheaper online.
Not a great selection during the summer and some items are overpriced. However, the staff said they get new shipments at the beginning of every semester... so it might be better to go shopping then.
Great place to find stuff on campus. Can be a bit pricey, but thats the cost of convenience. Its worth it to me.
Its a typical College bookstore, my advice is always check Amazon for the same book before you buy it at the bookstore. You might be able to save about fifty bucks buying the same item on Amazon. All of their books and merchandise in the store are as typically overpriced as you would expect a College Bookstore to be. If you need to go here for purchasing books for school expect to spend about $400 for your total purchase.
This place has a lot of fun little unique items, ideal for gift finding or casual browsing. The clothes and books are a little pricey, though, but good quality.
They have a horrible return policy in their technology outlet. They insisted that a cord was compatible with my device, and when it wasnt and I had to return it, they made me get my receipt (which was in my car at a collision center super far away), refusing to look up my transaction and reprint the receipt, and when I finally got it and brought everything back, they charged a restocking fee. So basically they just took money from me and I have nothing to show for it. My device didnt even recognize the cord. The cord was made by apple and I have an Android. They insisted there wouldnt be any problems and now Im out all that time and money. Its super irritating.
Once you buy a textbook the sale is final. Whether you opened the plastic wrapping or not. So choose your books wisely.
Its a pretty cool place. The only thing that would make it better is a grocery section.
The Bookstore was awesome, they had this really cool backpack I found on sale for pretty cheap! The staff was really nice and helpful, and they had a wide selection from books to sportswear
Pretty good selection of things for school. Awesome university.
Watch their short return policy’s and extra rates, they will gouge you at every turn! Happy to change my review if they can show some decent service.
Its a University bookstore... That means everything is way over priced. Always check Amazon first. But good in a pinch
Great when you run out of paper or pencils! Awesome apparel as well!
This is hard because there are people there that work hard and are very helpful, but the terrible people that work there far out weigh the good ones... people on the phone not willing to help because it’s nearing closing time...I worked a lot of hours and just got of work at 4:38 pm in Provo and they close at 5pm, so I called ahead and asked what time they close and if they would mind staying open for just like one extra min so I could get my book because I was traveling as fast as I could. She simply says “no”... nothing else... not” oh sorry we can’t “or provide a solution to anything... then I say “ok could I tell you the name of the book I need and someone could grab it for me and bring it to the front”... she just replies “no”... and I asked what can you do to help and she says “I dunno” that is truly pathetic customer service and they know it... don’t be fooled by these fake 5 ⭐️ Reviews above...No body is willing to go beyond their measly job to help you. That is for sure not going to help them in the professional world...There has been the same girl the last 3 times I have gone that just is so rude and doesn’t explain things and treats me like I was born yesterday and when I say sorry I don’t know what she means, she gets mad and insists something is wrong with me.Their prices are lame... toward the end of the semester they upped the price of one book everyone needed for my class from $18-22 ish dollar book to $50!Shape up UVU!
I like the merchandise is good but get your books elsewhere if you can.
Nice staff and cool products. However I feel their prices on most of the stuff is ridiculously high.
A great store located on UVU, no better place to go to for UVU branded apparel!
Nicely laid out. Everybody is polite and will help you if asked.
What a great place to shop! The people who work here are super friendly and love to help!
The bookstore has basically everything youll need for school, though its quite pricey. The staff are really helpful with finding the textbooks you need. It has a ton of art supplies for art students. They also sell spiritwear (and I dont own a single item because they are INSANELY pricey, like $40+ for a sweatshirt. But thats normal for universities). Everyone working there is friendly, though Ill occasionally run into somebody having a bad day, which we all have. Also, you can sign up for a loyalty program (I think thats what its called) with your UVU ID number. Overall, great experience at the bookstore.
Overall it serves its purpose, but personally I wish it was more expansive like the byu bookstore.
Its just your basic university bookstore: helpful if you need textbooks or UVU-branded merchandise, but not worth visiting otherwise. Further, you can probably find most of the textbooks cheaper online.
UVU is my favorite school. So of course I love the book store. It nice a roomie. It is full of UVU apparel (Hats, sweatshirts, shirts, pants, ect.) They have school supplies, books, bags, souvenirs, treats, and much more.
Its just really busy all the time (but thats kind of a given), and its hard to find your books. The lines move pretty quick for the most part...
The bookstore is fine. Just plan on paying more for everything than you would online or at Walmart. The staff is usually helpful.
Most the here you can get across the street at walmart way cheaper. But convienence is nice sometimes and they are friendly
Its good in a pinch but things are more expensive there, especially notebooks and pencils.
I love the clothes and hats wish they were cheaper for employees
Its fine. Not as good as most college bookstores, but nothing on uvu is really on par with other colleges (except the parking.) The registers go down a lot, and they rrreally jack up the prices, go there if you really need to but I wouldnt do most of my shopping there.
I love how helpful everyone is here.
Curse you money suckers! The textbook industry is the most overlooked corrupt industry targeting young people today. But UVU is still an awesome school.
Convenient place to buy lots of UVU-themed gear.
The bookstore will have all the supplies that you need for college. Make sure to explore your options when getting textbooks here, they are not always the cheapest option! However they do sell online access codes for some classes at a reduced price, just make sure to ask one of the employees.
Very good priced stationary and a well organized textbook section.
Quick, easy experience. And they take Tap-and-Pay, which is super convenient!
Lots of options. Great place to find gifts.
5 levels of books super easy an peaceful
You should check out a used book store first. I think theres still one open
Awesome for quick buys and not too overpriced
They are the only place in the valley that have the notebooks I like, Leuchtturm1917. Ill go back as long as they carry them.
Helpful service, just wish I could pay less!
The staff is great and always so friendly!
Clean, organized, and not horribly expensive.
People are always friendly and willing to help!
Some decent school stuff. Organization is lacking, and is always slammed the beginning of the semester and empty for the rest.
Disorganized with moronic policies and the staff who helped me had no concept of customer service. I bought a textbook online that cost $125 and was unavailable anywhere else. Turns out that my textbook wasnt required for my class so I went back to return it where I was informed that although the book was still in its packaging and I had an email invoice proving I bought it from them, unless I hung onto a random slip of paper tucked into the box they mailed it in, they wouldnt accept it. I was then informed that the textbook itself was only worth eighty cents (it was loose leaf) but it cost so much because it came with a MathLab access, which is non-transferable. So they basically told me they couldnt help me and Id just have to sell a book thats now practically worthless. Im out 125 bucks now because I didnt hang on to one specific piece of paper that they never even mentioned was important. The girl who helped me also said that this is a very common problem, which did not make me feel any better, since its clearly something they know about but they dont have the common decency to so much as mention in the email that the paper they put in your package is important or necessary for a return. I will never spend a dime here ever again, and frankly, you shouldnt either.
Fun products but pricey.
Has the books and other things you need. Staff are all students and were friendly and helpful.
Look good but prices are a bit over
Always has what I need :)
Staff is nice, prices are outrageous.
A nice wide selection!
Great selection and clearance items....a bit pricy on some things.
Prices are much too high. Textbooks can almost always be found for half the price on Amazon.
Very helpful people working inside
Everything you need at an expensive price for convenience.
All I did was walk by it, and then I checked my bank account, and I lost 500.00. Man this place is expensive
Needs better candy and affordable clothes
The staff are all quite knowledgeable and helpful.
Customer service is ehhhh at best
Get ready to loose your money. There return policy is 24 hr. Prices are high. Then your book becomes worthless at the end of the semester because UVU is changing the book for next semester. College books are a scam. They are not providing a service but extracting money out of poor students where else do you see 25th version of books?not that other bookstores are better. Off campus is even worse.... What can you do?
Best as a last resort.
Lots of items for tourists and for students, wide variety of items that are school related.
Excellent attention.
Poor customer service. One lady told me one thing on a return policy and when I came to return it, they told me something different. No wonder people don’t buy from here.
It will charge you your soul and anything you have in your bank account but you will get your books in time for class.
You can get the stuff you need for campus and classes books are not cheap but if you need stuff this is the easiest place to go
If Amazon doesnt have your book, the bookstore will have to do.
Managed and manages employees poorly
High prices on some supplies compared to online stores.
A little pricey but very friendly staff
Overpriced junk, but convenient as can be.
Good but expensive.
All your UVU swag at one stop.
Bought some UVU merch.
Helpful and friendly staff, but expensive.
Great service!!!
Always a friendly staff!
I find what I need
Go Wolverines!
Friendly staff
Variety of products
