ANY woman can spend hours in this store.. The first time I went in here I spent 2 hours in there. It is a must see for hair extensions *Galore* sea shells beads. Ladies dont take your man in here hahaha they will walk out.. This is not anything like Sallys. Way better and better prices!

I go into this store OFTEN as it is not far from my house. I went in today and was followed around the store. I noticed when I was in one aisle, the lady came and was just standing on that aisle pretending to put something away and then I went to another aisle, I was followed to that aisle as well, where she pretended to put something away at couple different times while I was over there. This I was my last time spending my money at Olathe Beauty. I will gladly drive the 20 minutes to the next beauty supply store. First off, they have cameras on every single aisle and big tv screens over the counter where they can see EVERYTHING. Why would you need to follow me around the store? They are always on guard there.

Olathe Beauty has a lot of product youll probably find the hair you need, but the store is very overcrowded. Its hard to find what youre looking for. The staff is very rude and its completely overpriced for what you get. My braids stylist told me that the packs that I had bought were cut in half. She showed me a pack of the same hair and the comparison was completely noticeable. She said theyre splitting the hair packs, so that you will buy more. I never shopped there again.

Love me some Olathe Beauty! The staff are helpful and courteous, especially the older lady with black glasses. She always says hi and knows my face.LARGE selection of products, mostly reasonably priced. Really need to have a private place for ladies who have gone bald to try on wigs. The current set up is very insensitive and humiliating. Other than that I would gladly give five stars.

This place is huge, it reminds me of the swap and shops in Los Angeles. They have everything pertaining to hair and accessories. Must go.

The store has everything, but the workers are rude, I bought a wig like 2 mins and I went back telling them that my girlfriend bought two and same wig, and she bought it here, so can I return this that I bought like 2 mins ago. She didnt want to understand my situation at first she didnt even said that the wigs arent refundable or exchange. Now I end up having two same wigs.

They have anything and everything for African-American hair products for children and adults. Would definitely recommend them.

This store does have a very large selection of hair and hair products but the customer service is not so grand. I went in the store looking for a specific item and they didnt have it. It happens. I asked where I could buy it and the lady couldnt have cared less. She was rude, short with me and walked away while I was talking her. Not sure thats somewhere I want to support when they cant use basic customer service.

I would rather go to the city and shop at Bunnys now thats the place to shop.Mom would take us there way back in the day . This place is to crowded they have some decent prices but for the most part its very high in price.If you are not a frequent customer you will be followed around the store and watched very closely.I dont have that problem they are very helpful, helpful by picking the highest item to purchase dont fall for it people.

Horrible. When you purchase something they are nice. Tell you, you can exchange the item. Had the item less than an hour. Said it was pressed and it smelled. How if it was still on the cardboard, tied up. I can spend my money else where. Black people dont give them your money. Watching another young lady on camera the whole time we were there. So, if you want your character to be defamed and slander go to this place. Why are they still in business??? I will never understand.

Best place for variety in hair products. No one to really help you so youd know what you need.

I purchased some blackout contacts here for halloween... I think I paid $30. They look really cool but the vision through them is so blurry I couldnt wear them. I have also purchased a wig here that turned out to be very low quality. Dont waste your money here. Buy your contacts online and buy your wigs from REAL wig shops.

Staff is very nice but the store is very cluttered & there were no wigs sitting down at a level to see what was available. Very difficult to find a wig. I much prefer to go into a wig store where I walk in and am able to immediately see what styles they have to choose from. I did think their prices were reasonable. Store just needs some rearranging so customers can see what they have. And I would hope they would have wigs in different colors other then the black only on display.

It was a really good place in overall they had all the things I needed for my hair and I flawless hair its really good if youre looking for cheap stuff that is that makes you look beautiful recommend going there

Returns policy sucks! Always thinking that people are stealing. Some of us do pay for what we need. On the the positive, has a lot to choose from, with nice prices. Maybe the have bad loss prevention. Truth.....

The wigs mostly feel thin and cheap, but the prices are low so you get what you pay for. There are a lot of hair and jewelry options, but the store is tightly packed and claustrophobic. The staff was helpful and helped me find what I was looking for.The staff had thick accents and some slightly broken English, but were patient and helped me understand what they were saying. It seemed like the store mainly had synthetic hair with styles for black women and the costumers gave me some dirty looks when I looked at the black curly wigs. However, that was not the staffs fault.3/5 it was ok but probably wont go againAlso they charge you 1$ to buy a one use with cap to try on wigs.

Whenever I go to stock up on the hair necessities, I find just what I need, and staff is always friendly and helpful. If I have my kids with me amd they get restless, employees bring them a lollipop and a smile. Very much appreciaited, and will keep my business!

They are very crazy,I was looking at some hair and they followed me all over the store,when I took it up to the front to pay they said I was changing tags,I said look at the price and go look at the other ones and you will see that is the price.Then they said I come in all the time and change the tags.I told them Ive never changed nothing,Im a hair stylist and I do come in a lot,I use to work at the great clips next door. I dont have to steal or change tags. It was a man talking to me I had never seen before,he said give me your I.d. Im calling the police,I said for what,call the police, they cant do nothing because I havent did anything wrong,then he told me to leave,I told him I will leave and tell all clients and friends to never shop there again because there prejudice,it was a case of mistaken I dignity, they thought I was someone else and treated me real bad. I had been there lots of times and never got treated like that,and I never went back.

I use to shop here all the time even though their prices were high. My last few times I bought 2 packs of hair like I always do but the bundles were a lot thinner. I now needed a 3rd pack.I then decided to buy a couple of synthetic wings my next visit. One of the wigs were $75 and it last a week, but that wasnt even my problem. The problem is they nickel and dime you for everything. I spend over $100 in that store each visit, why cant they through in a stocking cap? I asked and she charged me the 50 cents.I ordered the same wig 3 days later from Amazon for half the price and it came with 2 stocking caps and a set of lashes.

Always have what I need

These people are crazy for real. Today i took a friend to the store and the lady claim she saw my friend put a $1 lip stick in her packet. First my friend was not wearing a pants with packet. Sad to say my friend had no shame to her game, she drop her pants to show those people her underwear just to prove them wrong. They were so embarrassed they apologized and gave her us a discount. The point is you cannt go around accusing people of things without evidence.

I bought clip in hair extensions, deferred to lady behold counter because they were very busy. Got home, very thin and threadbare, have to return to get another package although she told me one would be enough. Cant view prices nor read pkgs behind counter. Cmon. Put more staff out so this normally FUN time can be less stressful. What are store hours?

Literally just left from there.. was not having too much of a good day as it was...so Im in the store looking at stuff and as Ipick up a product it falls and they ask me if I need a basket and I say no.. not thinking nothing of it, but then this man keeps following asking me if I need help every 2 secs because I put my phone in my pocket and he probably thought I was stealing and watching my every move...I put some product down to read another and he come over and tries to take it as though I wasnt putting it back where it belongs, and I say to him for the 4th time, Im good I dont need help. Then he walks away. I unscrew this top just smell it and I didnt even get to smell it good enough and he yells across the store DO NOT OPEN OUR PRODUCT AND TRY IT OUT I immediately put all the things back as an embarrassment Because I come here all the time and have given them a lot of my money being that Im a cosmetologist and this is the closest hair store to me..they have always been rude and gotten an attitude when Ive asked to use my discount, especially the Chinese lady who always wears her hair up and always has a cape on... they are rude.. over price and I Do NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE. ESPECIALLY OF YOUR BLACK CAUSE THIS ISNT THE FIRST ONE IVE SEEN THEM SO THIS TO!

Ive been a customer for the past 2 yrs Ive lived in olathe. My experiences have been ok but recently since the stores change,rearranging its gotten out of hand with the rudeness and weird profiling. I get people have came in there and stolen things Ive seen the postings on the door of the accused. What I dont like is I had been a paying customer..this store having employees peeking around corners,following me around. All black people dont steal nor do we look alike. If youre gonna sell mostly black hair care products and youd like to keep business booming maybe you should get acquainted with your customers and treat them as such and not judge every person by the last bad black person encounter you had. And I disagree with the dont open the product to try it or buy.But If Im going to spend my hard earned money on products which arent cheap I feel I should be able to at least see the product and smell it to see if its up to my satisfaction due to you having a no refund policy. This review is mainly for other potential customers its not a comfortable place to shop at all you feel rushed,uneasy and dont dare use your phone and then put in away back into your purse theyll be watching from every angle like you swiped something. If you want to shop at ease and variety at a good price go down the road to Star Beauty in Lenexa like I myself dohope this helps save someone a uncomfortable trip to this store.

I think you shouldnt have to PAY TO TRY ON THE WIGS, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRY THEM ON WITHOUT CHARGE.. BECAUSE YOU ARE ALREADY BUYING THEM!! SMH!..

If you are looking for a wig dont bother. They are bunched/stacked together. The wigs are out dated and over priced. If you are a short person its going to be more difficult to choose because you wont be able too see whats behind the counter due to other wigs blocking your view.
