Shabbat supper is so simple with either a tray of stuffed peppers or hummus spread to go. always delicious!

Oh man, the Shawarma wrap I got from this place Im still digesting a week later. This is the spot for your Arab and Mediterranean fix. Jam packed with every dip, spread and condiment barely legal in this country, just the way I like it. Why cant all ethnic spots be this good? Five stars.

I used to take out shawarma and gyros from this place, bcoz quality was awesome, recently i purchased shawarma and gyros and that was the worst experience for me. Look like someone just try to get rid of food they dont want. I spent $33 bucks and that was waste of money. No more going there.

All I can say worst food I ever had in my life, lady who make food was not happy to serve food, look like someone forcing her to work, it might be she didn’t have back up and she has to work by herself. Not going there any more.

Ordered online - only to show up and not even have my order received. Cashier tried to correct it but put in the wrong order while looking at my screen. So I basically waited around, paid extra for the online order to have the wrong food. Won’t be returning.

Love this place! Location; not so much.🤷🏾‍♀️ However the people are nice and the food is delicious. I had a Lamb mendi plate and when I say it was just what I needed. Flavor packed. Who knew yogurt salad, coupled with rice and lamb could taste so good together. What a symphony. Dont knock it till you try it. Another one of my favorite places!😎

Sad to see they have changed ownership, way different inside. But I will say they come close to the amazing inhouse hummus the old oasis made daily. And they have a constant rotation of fresh made pita bread.

Its a market/restaurant. Food is top notch if youre into meet and rice and kabob and stuff. Staff is super welcoming and friendly.

I went here on Christmas day for my beloved Brooke Bond loose leaf tea. The shopkeepers were busy stocking shelves and immediately set aside their tasks to help me. The price was so nice I got two boxes. At checkout I was able to use Google pay on my phone which I feel more comfortable using. The shopkeeper even extended me a courteous farewell.

They make their own breads. This was the best falafel Ive ever eaten. I might go back tomorrow

Good quality middle eastern food

Solid variety but produce section is a little weak. Restaurant makes one linger for more selective knowing that stomach growls can be satiated a la fast food style.

I dont know where to start! The list is too long, Ill try to make it short. The produce, looks like its been sitting there for weeks. The shelves, half empty. The food, not appetizing at all! The cashier, took forever to ring our items. The place is dirty! Items stored on the floor in public view! The box of mixed baklava I bought was probably 10 years old. I threw it away! 😠Only one thing I liked, and that was the fresh pita bread. Thats it! Never and I really mean never again will I visit this place again.

I love mom and pop locations and keeping money in the community. This is great place to grab a bit to eat, its like a homecooked meal on the go. I had the pizza one day it was good. The crust Perfect. I also had the fish sandwich it was good but next time I would get it with no lettuce.

This place is great! Nice staff, fresh baked pita breads, pastries. Good grocery section. I made foul madammas using their beans, and along with the bread, made a meal for 3 people for under $10. Really tasty and good for you!

Delivery was fast 👍👍 Im not really into lamb and they did a good job with the beef/lamb plate, the meat was perfect. Hummus was good -taste not overwhelming. Tried the falafel in my friends veggie combo and it was pretty good! The pita bread was cold and hard but Im sure that was due to delivery. All in all Id order again and definitely pay a visit to their market

Shawarma is on point at this local gem. Get the plate and youll have a meal for 2 with some to take home. Grocery selection is unique with a wide selection of authentic middle eastern stuff youve never heard of. Good deals on produce too. Go here, eat in, take your time and spend locally.

This is the best place to get pita. They bake it fresh all day, both traditional and whole wheat varieties, and you can usually get it warm from the oven. There is also a good grocery section with a wide selection of Middle Eastern products and an excellent halal butcher in the back.

Vegetarian platter was big and delicious and worth considering even if you are not vegetarian. The lamb was also excellent.

This place has a very delicious sandwich. However if you are willing to go shopping, its not so good. We love to cook Mediterranean food and we thought we could find some more variety of product, but it was not the case.

I just wanted some coffee. It was warm, not hot. I brought it up. They didnt care. So I settled for herbal tea. The one herbal tea box on offer was empty. So they handed me a brand new box. I unwrapped it. The water wasnt hot, just warm. So I settled for the premade tea. It was not impressive. Decided against trying the food.

Ii enjoyed the Chicken Mendi Plate. Staff were pleasant. I will return.

Worst place in America human being eat food, the oasis food market in Telegraph Avenue Oakland is not clean if you eat something there with certainty you will contract illness and health problems, public safety agencies in Oakland closed frequently but within hours they allowed, if you visit that place you can stay inside owing the bad smell coming out unhealthy facilities.I think the only opportunity this place have to keep running is corruption they give the Public health inspectors

The staff need to be more professional behind the food counter and pay more attention to food handling and hygiene. This place has potential and I would recommend that they offer smaller sandwiches. That said, I do go there every now and then for grocery or the occasional sandwich.

Awesome hot foods, amazing baked goods, great selection of bulk foods, produce, and other grocery items. My friends and I can easily spend hours here, sitting at the tables and going back to the counter to enjoy more and more of their delicious goods. Ive read folks complaining about the quality of service, but I dont think its anything to be discouraged by- dont take it personally! I think all the staff are at least friendly enough, if not better. I like their foods and products too much anyways!

A true hidden gem in Oakland. You can get a heaping plate of rice, hummus, and the meat of your choice (roast chicken, kebabs, etc) for $13 or less. They also have a lovely market with all the things you need to make a gourmet meal (rare spices, global goods, etc). Cannot say enough good things about this place! Insider tip, order at the register and pick your food up at the food counter after.

Today I wanted to have Arabic food which went very wrong, bad costumer service place dirty I saw died fly on the olive oil bottle on the table, the plates are not full they put little rice with little shawarma on top not organize at all people are walking around the food not covered their hair I had to return my plate for them to separate the rice and the shawarma I Saw another costumer was complaining about his food, I had to throw up when I got home since I saw the died fly.Not recommended to anybody.

One-stop shop for all your middle eastern grocery needs. They have hard-to-find items at comparable prices to Dearborn, MI. Plus, they have a tasty bakery and hot food section with authentic, mouthwateringly-delicious dishes. Shop a bit and grab some lunch!

Food was fairly good but the ordering system is odd and after waiting 15 minutes to get my order ticket from cashier lady to go pass off to the kitchen I just left. First trip there was just confusion on what I ordered between the register lady that isnt in the food area? Why cant I just order my food at the counter where my food is like any other place. Third time was more of the same so it was my last time trying this place. Other than that the food is fairly good. Definitely better options in Oakland and neighboring cities.

I would rate this place 3.5 stars. The food is pretty good but the fries are a bit too expensive for fries and the drinks are too but all other is stuff is quiet cheap. The bathroom is really dirty and the looks of the store and restaurant is that well either.

Our favorite place for Mediterranean comfort food. Service is casual, but the food and staff are wonderful. Were here all the time!

Slightly disappointing experience. Food was okay. I had the lamb shawarma. The naan tasted like it has been microwaved and the salad was tasteless. Lamb and rice were both fairly good, although it was somewhat expensive at $13 for the plate. Would probably go somewhere else next time.

They always seem busy and the food looks good so I gave it a try. I ordered lamb with rice. The portion was huge but it was dry and tasteless. I couldnt even finish it. The bakery has an array of unappealing choices. The grocery section is dark and dusty. Wont be going back.

Oasis on telegraph (not Grand!) Has THE BEST falafel, hummus, and shwarma. Absolutely love them! Service can be REALLY slow, especially during peak lunchtime rush, but its so good I keep coming back!

Local halal butcher with great food for eat in or take out. Love the hummus, olives, shawarma wrap and plates and hot tea with milk. If you are in the mood to cook yourself, the meat from the butcher section in the back is fresh and good. Perhaps my favorite place for good food at a reasonable price in oakland. Its right next to the mosque and many folks go before/after services. Feels very authentic. And service is exceptional.

Very negative experience. Went to get some meat, the person who was selling meat told me to wait for 30 minutes and a fresh lamb is on its way coming to store. My wife and I waited for 45 minutes. When the lamb arrived to the store, the old guy at the store said that we do not sell the lamb come tomorrow. Unpleasant and disrespectful personnel. I do not suggest this place for anyone. These guys are not the men of their words.

My friend brought us there for lunch. We got our wraps and drinks and grabbed a table outside. The wrap was made at time of order and the chicken was spiced perfectly. After our meal, we went back inside to shop. Well, it was to pick up some Baklava. They had various shapes, sizes, and fillings. There wasnt one we didnt like and interestingly, there was one that was filled with some creamy/custard that was so good, but sadly I didnt buy enough and all of it was gone by the end of the day. Another great buy is their over sized naan. I think it cost me $3 for 4 very large, very soft naans. They also have lots of different spices you buy by the pound. This is a fun place to eat and shop.
