Definition of your local community grocery store. better selection than most small grocery / liquor stores in East Oakland.They have decent prices, and the owners really care about being part of the community and supporting it.They also host a sandwich shop in the back during certain days of the week. Highly recommend.

A great spot to get what you need until you can get to a big store. The cashier always gives me a lottery ticket with my receipt. How cool is that!? Love this place! Also saw pics of Klay T...folks say he lives in the neighborhood...awesome! Just moved here, glad I came!

The people working at the register always have a positive attitude and give good costumer service. On top of that you can find almost anything you need in that little store. From jalapeños to Ice cream to T-shirts and miscellaneous tools and items

Very convenient, got what you may need- a bit pricier than the usual liquor/convenience store in my opinion through the bay area. The 3 times I visited for a site job in the area (within the week) some of the stock were laid all over the floor for whatever reason, feels a bit unkempt.

Some Asian food have been added recently. Great.

There are lots of things to buy not like other neighborhood market. They even sell socks, shirts, hats, firewoods, cooled wine, fruits and vegetables. Specially their deli shop is very well known with so delicious all sorts of sandwiches. The owner is a painter who enjoys sharing his recent works with customers who have good relationship for a long time. Go and visit this shop, you will enjoy nice talk with him in the afternoon.

Great little neighborhood market. Decent wine selection. Never know who you might bump into.

Nothing not to love...Sam, the artist owner and a big variety for a tiny store; Mike and team at the back at our fave deli (with much shorter hours...call them!)

The sandwich shop here is awesome and you can almost get just about anything you would need right away from the store that is inside also try to say something about the customer service well I think 5 stars explains it quite well

Excellent deli sandwiches (and so cool that its a separate biz they combine), and the market has EVERYTHING you need in a pinch. I appreciate that their prices are competitive, not looking to markup significantly so that they are there for the things youd otherwise get at big chains.

Beer selection is a little lacking, so only four stars. Good little selection of everything else, deli in back has pretty good sandwiches.
